Dinner Revealing Story of Brook's Soul
When the Straw Hat crew let Luffy go onto the spooky big pirate ship with the singing skeleton the two weird girls, they were hoping that Nami and Sanji would keep him from doing anything stupid like upsetting the ghost ship or being cursed or whatever could happen.
But when the three came back, they did not expect them to bring the two girls and the tall singing skeleton along.
"Can't believe we're really going to join a pirate crew." Shirone sighed.
"Don't worry, it's going to be fine. I promise." Gasper nodded.
"Yohohoho! Such a pleasure to meet you! Hello and good day to you all!" Brook greeted friendly.
"As of today, the three of us will be joining your ship as your newest crew member. Once dead and all bones, my name is Brook. I hope we can get along!" Brook introduced himself.
"Are you kidding me? What the heck is this thing?" The Straw Hat crew members asked shock, except for one woman who stay silence.
"Yohohoho! Oh my, what a tough crowd you are." Brook laughed.
"Shishishishi." Luffy laughed while Nami and Sanji sighed in defeat that they have failed to keep their captain from doing something stupid.
"Please don't haunt me!" One little furry boy with a pink hat scared while holding up a silver cross.
This little boy appears to be a toddler-sized human/reindeer hybrid with a blue nose. His left antler is braced at the base by a metal plate He wears a large pale red/pink fuzzy top hat with a sideways medical cross and a maroon pair of shorts.
He is Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer-human and doctor of the Straw Hat Pirate, but because of his cuteness and loves eating cotton candy. He was named Cotton Candy Loving Chopper, bounty: 50 berries.
"Please don't be afraid, we don't mean you any harm." Gasper promised.
"But if you try anything on my king then I do the harming." Shirone warned with a glare.
"Shirone, no! We're supposed to be friends with them!" Gasper exclaimed crying a bit.
"I'm really sorry about her! She has trouble with new people she meets and doesn't get along with them but it's not for too long." Gasper explained.
"Anyway, my name is Vladi D. Gasper and I'm really looking forward to going on lots of sea adventures with you all." Gasper smiled.
"Well, at least this one seems okay than the weird skeleton." The tall man with the metal nose commented.
This guy has a powerfully built body with a height of at least seven feet. His forearms are relatively enormous while his biceps are comparably small. His chest is well-toned with large abs and pectoral muscles. He has brightly colored blue hair and blue star tattoos on his forearms. His eyebrows are rather long and stern, and he has three prominent lower Matsuge on each eye. His chin is very angular and tapers off in three pointed clefts. He also got a prosthetic nose made of iron with several rivets and jagged edges. He wears a yellow shirt with purple trident-like symbols on the sides and a large one on back. And a single pair of dark blue swim briefs.
He is the shipwright of the crew and unbelievably a cyborg known as Cyborg Franky, bounty: 44,000,000 beries.
"Hey pervert, don't do anything to corrupt my King or else you won't be a man anymore!" Shirone threatened the metal nose man.
"Wow! Now that's a fierce threat of a woman!" Franky gasped.
"My goodness, what a lovely young woman. Would you like to show me your panties?" Brook asked the silent woman.
"That's enough sexual harassment!" Nami screamed angry as she threw her boot at him.
"Don't you ever stop with doing that!" Shirone punched Brook on the back of the head.
"Sorry about that, this idiot is unfortunately a pervert. I'm Toujou Shirone, by the way." Shirone greeted to the older woman.
"Hello there, my name is Nico Robin and don't worry. Those kinds of men don't bother me, unless they give me a reason to hurt them." Robin introduced herself.
Robin a tall, slender young woman with shoulder-length black hair and blue eyes that have dark, wide pupils. Robin's limbs are very long, especially her legs. She wears a short purple dress with lace embroidered edges, stockings reaching up to her thighs held up by suspenders, and black high-heeled boots with two lines of buttons on the front. Breasts sizes: I-cup.
"Tell me, is that skeleton guy going to haunt us?" Chopper asked Gasper shaking and still holding up the cross.
"Stand back, Chopper." A guy with a long nose stepped in getting their attention.
He is a slim tan-skinned teenager with medium-length black curly hair, prominent lips and a long nose. He wears a blue and white striped armband on his left arm, along with special sniper goggles, brown overalls with a white sash and no shirt underneath. He also wears a purple cape and a wide brim purple hat with a necklace of garlic to ward off evil creatures.
This scaredy looking young man is the self-proclaim Brave Warrior of the Sea and the best sniper of the crew named Usopp. He has a bounty of 30,000,000 berries, but that's only of the alias Sniper King and wore a mask to hide his face.
"You're equipped with anti-ghost gear! You got him now!" Chopper amazed.
"Don't worry, my friend Usopp will deal with that skeleton." Chopper assured to Gasper making him worry.
"Remove yourself from this ship, you fiend. Submit to the holy power I wield! Evil begone!" Usopp hoped to scare the ghost skeleton away with his anti-ghost stuff and knowledge that he knows.
"No wait, Brook isn't an evil ghost or anything bad! He's a friend, he helped me and Shirone get through when we had no where else to go." Gasper assured standing in front of Usopp.
"There's no way a walking, talking skeleton sporting an afro can exist. This must be a dream; we just need to wake up." Usopp proclaimed, hoping he's right.
"Oh, it's a dream. What relief, that's nice." Chopper sighed in relief, but then suddenly held by Shirone in her arms.
"Never held a reindeer-human before. Just wanted some experience of this." Shirone explained while hiding the fact that she just likes cute things.
"Aw, now that is the most adorable thing!" Brook complimented, with this boney face being so close to Chopper causing him to scream.
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" One green hair man shouted in rage.
This guy is a muscular man of average height with lightly tanned skin and copped green hair. He seems to carry three swords along with him, bundled up with a green haramaki over his right hip and keeps a black bandana tied around his left bicep. He wears black trousers tucked inside black boots, a plain white shirt with three undone buttons at the collar and his green haramaki.
He is Roronoa Zoro, the swordsman "Pirate Hunter" and the first mate of the Straw Hat Pirates as being recruited first by Luffy, bounty: 120,000,000 berries.
"What is this thing and why are there three weirdos on our ship?" Zoro demanded to know from his captain.
"Those are our new crew member. Aren't they great, especially the talking skeleton being funny." Luffy answered smiling.
"Forget it, they're not joining our crew!" Zoro denied immediately much to Gasper dishearten.
"This is exactly why I want you to go with him! What the Hell happen, were you just picking your noses while he brought a skeleton to weird girls back to the ship?" Zoro asked Nami and Sanji.
"We know, we messed up." Nami Sanji admitted exclaiming at the same time.
"Look, my King may believe you guys are nice people but unless you can prove that to me then I won't let any of you near him!" Shirone warned with a serious glare.
"Whatever, I still say… Wait, did you just that girl your "King" and "Him" just now?" Zoro asked, feeling confused.
"Yeah, because he's a boy." Shirone answered.
Zoro took one moment looking at Gasper that is making the boy feel weird and uncomfortable of the stare from the older guy, blushing of embarrassment and wants to crawl into a box.
"Why the fuck is a guy wearing girls' clothes?" Zoro asked feeling weird from this.
"It's complicated, okay! It's not like I had any other choice!" Gasper cried.
"You made him cry, now you're dead!" Shirone clutched her fists.
"I like to see you try, little girl." Zoro said getting ready to bring out his sword, but Brook decided to mellow down the tension.
"Now, now, let's be civil, everyone. Why don't we go inside, you can treat us for dinner." Brook suggested.
"You don't get to decide that!" Zoro, Nami, and Sanji yelled at Brook.
"Hey Luffy, do you mind if we have dinner with you guys?" Gasper asked his new captain.
"Sure, you three are part of my crew now." Luffy answered without hesitation.
"Thanks, you're the best! Blablablabla!" Gasper thanked with a laugh.
Everyone went inside to the dining hall and the three new recruits of the Straw Hat pirates are amazes of how it looks while the outside was also amazing with the grass and the figurehead.
"Oh my, such a spacious dining room you got and such a splendid kitchen!" Brook complimented.
"Yeah, this is by far the coolest ship we ever have the honor of being inside one!" Gasper added with his fist in the air.
"Of course, it is. It's the most Super ship I've ever made. Those sockets look empty, but you got a good eye for quality." Franky commented to Brook.
"Franky, don't get friendly with the skeleton." Sanji advised.
"Speaking of quality, the food you're preparing smells very amazing. Can't wait to have it in my belly, better than those fishes we've been eating for the past three days." Shirone interested in the food Sanji is making.
"Since I've been stuck on that old ship, I couldn't get anything to eat which means no proper meal." Brook said with his head on the table now.
"But my stomach would shrink and shrink until I couldn't even tell the back of my bell to the front of my back anymore. That was the miserable life l lived…" Brook explained one of the sad parts of being a lone skeleton.
"And let me tell you that's saying a lot since skeletons don't even have a proper back or stomach. Yohohoho!" Brook joked as Luffy and Gasper chuckles.
"It's a Skull Joke!" Brook yelled.
"It's a Skull Joke!" Gasper and Luffy cheered at the same time.
"Hey, would you put those away, Brook isn't even a real ghost. Just a Devil Fruit user." Shirone assured to Usopp and Chopper.
"He is?" Usopp and Chopper confused.
"Yes, I am. But that will wait after we have gotten our dinner, and I am quite the gentleman in the art of patiently waiting for my meal no matter how long it takes." Brook said while fluffing his afro.
"Dinner, yeah! Yeah, dinner's coming!" Brook and Luffy started yelling and clapping their silverwares together.
"What happened to being patient?" Shirone yelled angry.
"My dear boy, can I have a glass of milk? It's good for the bones, they say." Brook requested.
"Shut up or I'm gonna kick your skull!" Sanji yelled.
"Hey, can Shirone have some milk too! It's her favorite and she's underage." Gasper requested a drink for Shirone as well.
"You're underage too, my King." Shirone reminded him.
"Hey, the tough girl had you're a Devil Fruit user. Is that what you are?" Luffy asked.
"You invited him to join the crew and now you realize that!" Zoro yelled.
"Alright, food's ready!" Right on cute, Sanji brings in all the dishes of the dinner he was making.
"We can finish integrating the skeleton later. For now, let's put all the octopus you caught in your belly!" Sanji smiled.
"You guys are going to love Sanji's cooking! It's the best in the entire world!" Luffy excited with stars in his eyes.
"I'm already tasting the octopus with my nose!" Shirone smiled sniffing the food.
"Oh, my stomach is empty, I think my heart has already been filled!" Brook sobbed of finally having real delicious food after all these years.
"Don't cry." Sanji hated seeing a grown man cry, a grown skeleton man in this case.
"Here, my King, you should have more." Shirone said pouring some of hers on Gasper's plate.
"I'm pretty sure Sanji made plenty for seconds." Gasper stopped Shirone from giving away some of her food.
Luffy started talking to Brook about the ship though his mouth was still full of food which makes it very hard to understand what he is saying right now.
"You have a fish tank with octopus in it. Truly, the wonders never cease with you people!" Brook surprised, able to completely understand what Luffy was saying to him.
Luffy food-mouth talk again about how the ship can transform too like being able to fly really high into the sky.
"No way, a flying ship! I didn't think something like that was possible, even engineers and scientists from my former home island had trouble doing that." Gasper mentioned awestruck.
Then Luffy offers the three to show them around the ship if they want.
"Yeah, I wanna see the ship!" Gasper nodded.
"Oh yes, right after dinner, of course." Brook agreed as well and the cheer about seeing the ship.
"Those two can understand what Luffy was saying just now?" Nami surprised.
"To be honest, I didn't know Gasper could understand that too." Shirone shared her surprise as well.
"Going to see the ship, yeah!" Gasper, Luffy, and Brook cheered as they get excited.
"Would you shut up and eat!" Sanji yelled angry, not liking their bad table manners.
Later, everyone finally finished eating their dinner and the three new recruits began to explain about why Brook is a skeleton being able to walk and talk like a huma being, in a way.
"Revive-Revive Fruit?" Nami surprised to hear it's a Devil Fruit behind this.
"So, it was a Devil Fruit, after all." Franky said.
"It's a complicated tale, as I already told this to Gasper and Shirone, I actually did die already many years ago." Brook mentioned.
"Could you clean off you damn face? I hate seeing such a messy eater." Sanji ordered.
"Do you have any sweets? I like having some after dinner." Shirone asked.
"I think we still got some water candy, if Chopper doesn't mind." Sanji said.
"Oh, huh, it's fine. Just as long as I can have some." Chopper nodded.
"From what Brook explained, it allows the person to have a second chance in life after you died the first time. The power only activates when you actually die aside from the usually taking away your ability to swim." Shirone explained.
"So, you're a revive-man!" Luffy amazed.
"Then you're not immortal, it's just what the cat girl said." Franky said.
"Yes, and I was once a pirate just like you all. Oh, excuse me." Brook said before letting out a burp.
"When Brook still had his flesh and blood, he used to sail within the Grand Line until they were killed by a powerful pirate crew." Gasper explained.
"Yes, and I was among them as well. But on that fateful day, it's true power awaken as I lay dead!" Brook remembered the moment like it was yesterday.
"My spirit returned from the netherworld and came to reunite with this body of mine once again!" Brook started explaining.
(Flashback)
The shows the sky covered in clouds before a bright light came down and a single soul that is Brook came out off to reunite with Brook's soul, but its having trouble finding the ship through the fog.
"Now, if it had actually found my body as intended that would all be well and good, but as you can see the fog around here is quite thick." Brook mentioned.
Brook's soul kept on searching through the fog aimlessly until it was able to find the broken-down ship seeing the Jolly Roger.
"It literally took an entire year to find his body to be reunited, but it wasn't what Brook was hoping for." Shirone said.
"Yes, when my soul found my body. It was nothing but a pile of bones!" Brook explained.
Brook soul screamed in horror of seeing his body now just a skeleton.
(Flashback End)
"I was so shocked; my eyes were as white as dinner plates. Not that I have eyes to begin with! Yohohohoho!" Brook joked.
"You got lost, huh? So, you're stupid, just like Zoro." Luffy said which earn an angry look from Zoro.
"So, a walking, talking skeleton was born. Man, those Devil fruit powers can be scary sometimes, even though you're just bones, it still brought you back to life." Franky weirded out from this.
"Yeah, but only does it once despite the fact he still can't swim and stuck like this. Seems kind of like a crappy deal if you ask me." Sanji commented.
"Skeletons aren't supposed to have hair, right, especially not so much of it? Is that afro a wig or something?" Zoro asked.
"I check, it's the real deal!" Gasper petted the afro.
"I'll take your word for it." Zoro said, not wanting to question this any futher.
"(I wonder, could the fruit we're looking have reborn within this ship?)" Shirone thought wondered.

Gasper, Shirone, and Brook have all gotten along with the crew as they are still getting to know each other with Brook sharing his story like his Devil Fruit, but those story times will be over once they found themselves being caught in a dark place.
