Disclaimers: I do not own Fairy Tail.

A/N: I am finally home! I have about two more chapters worth of material written out for Elemental Homecoming that I want to release before focusing on my other stories, but after that, it's Wild Master, Elemental Spirit Mage, and Fire and Brimstone, along with Fiery Hurricane and Right Claw.

Elemental Homecoming pt. 4

The next day found Romeo scoping out his hometown from the top of a nearby hill on the outskirts which overlooked it via a pair of anti-shine/night vision binoculars he got in the desert country of Xoada. The means by which he obtained them would be considered highly illegal in most countries, but since he stole them without spilling blood their former owner had no choice but to let him keep them.

"How much longer are you going to waste your time, Pup?", Rhew said from his crouch position slightly behind Romeo, "A day has already gone by."

"I'm just feeling out the scene, that's all", the man answered, "A lot of things have no doubt change in the past thirteen years."

"You humans and your need to change things so quickly so soon. Just stay the same way for a couple of hundred years as the elves and dwarves do and I'm sure you wouldn't have as many problems as you do", Kasai muses from his spot on Romeo's right side though unlike the wolf he was lying on his back, basking in the sunlight, " Take it slow like everyone else does."

"A dwarf reaches adulthood at a hundred years. For an elf, that puts you as still a child. And finally, that is a lifetime for a human if they are even lucky to reach that point", Romeo retorts while focusing on the Fairy Tail guild hall, "Humans don't have time to sit around and wait."

"And yet that is exactly what you are doing", Rhew points out.

Romeo takes his eyes out of the binoculars and turns to face the Ice Spirit. He opens his mouth to reply only to stop upon realizing that he didn't have a comeback whatsoever. Luckily for him, Rhew was above such emotions as smugness so the wolf merely returns his attention to the town.

"Something is going on at the guild hall", the wolf said.

Romeo immediately returns his attention to the town but finds that while the binoculars were magically shielded to prevent sunlight from flashing off their lens and allow him to see in the dark, they were only slightly more powerful than normal binoculars in terms of range thus they couldn't give him a good look of the guild hall. So instead he places a hand on Rhew's neck, the cold having no effect on him.

"Mighty Spirit of the frozen cold, I ask that you lend me your sight", he recites.

"Then I shall give it to you", Rhew replies as his eyes flash white along with Romeo doing the same.

Within moments, Romeo could see every nook and cranny of the exterior of the guild hall, even the small scratches in the bell at the top of it.

"Hey Rhew, focus on the front door", Romeo says and the wolf moves his head down, thus moving his line of vision in the process. This was one of the few flaws with Romeo using "Shared Sight" with him as being a predatory type animal, his field of vision was limited and had to be focused on certain areas. Luckily, the range of his eyes more than made up for it.

It was then that Romeo, through Rhew's eyes, notices bursts of ice, fire, the occasional sword, and metal spikes all coming busting out the sides and couldn't help but grin.

"Is your guild under attack?" Rhew questions.

"Did someone say the word fight?", Kasai says as he rolls over with an exhilarating expression on his face.

"No, my guild is not under attack. They are just up to their usual shenanigans", Romeo laughs.

"I fail to see how committing costly destruction of property can be funny", Rhew said before suddenly snapping his head to his right toward the woods as did Kasai, "Someone is approaching our position."

Romeo instantly tense up, his smile gone and his "Shared Sight" link now broken "Can you describe them?"

Rhew closes his eyes and listens, while Kadai sniffs the air every few moments.

"A single person going off of the heartbeat", Rhew states.

"Female, judging by the slight perfume they have on", Kasai adds, "Or a feminine male. You humans and elves tend to be like that. Never seen a dwarf do that though."

"Moving on", Rhew interrupts, "Light footsteps, though she is making no attempt to be stealthy. Almost certainly a child then; they also seem to be sniffing the air quite a bit as well."

"One more thing, she reeks of dragon and fire", Kasai finishes.

"Dragon and fire? Sniffing the air a lot? A child?", Romeo repeats in his head before quickly coming to a possible conclusion, "I was right about Asuka, don't see why I wouldn't be right about this."

During his adventures, Romeo learned that coming to a swift conclusion with the evidence presented to you could mean the difference between life and death. Now while he wasn't always entirely right in his theories he was rarely entirely wrong. He also learned you had to take decisive action right then and there in order to deal with some matters.

"What do you want to do, Kit?", Kasai questions, "She is almost certainly heading directly toward us."

"Return to your realms, I will deal with this myself", Romeo orders as he sits up and crosses his legs, pulling his hood over his head.

"That's the way you want to play it?", Kasai asks.

"I'm pretty sure I can deal with a child", Romeo replies.

"Need I remind you of the incident at the Dayanan Temple in the Weyu Jungle?", Rhew spoke.

"That kid had the power of an archdevil flowing through his body, so that doesn't count! Now get going!", Romeo barks and a magic circle appear under both Kasai and Rhew respectively and they vanish upon a column of fire and ice shooting upward out of them and receding, leaving him alone just moments before someone appears out of the forest, some ten yards from Romeo's position.

"Oh yeah, this is definitely Natsu's kid", was the first thought to come to Romeo's mind as he got a good look at the girl. She had the Fire Dragon-Slayer trademark pink spiky hair with chocolate brown eyes. She was dress in a button-up vest composed of black and white coloring while also wearing a pair of matching shorts that went down to her ankle. Around her neck was another signature item of Natsu, his famous white scarf.

"She looks to be around nine years old, so she was likely born around four years after I died.", Romeo thought while noticing the girl was staring at him intensely, "Speaking of pink hair, I have to remember to pay a visit to Margaret Town while I'm in Fiore. I own that bitch an ass-whopping or two."

Romeo was snap out of his thoughts by the young girl suddenly pointing a finger at him and declare in a voice that resounds throughout the area…

"Hey mister, hand over the fire!"

The wind blew a couple of leaves through the air as Romeo merely look back at her while still sitting cross-legged with his arms folded. After a moment, he tilts his head to the side with a quizzical expression on his face though he knew the girl couldn't see it.

"I'm sorry, what did you say to me, little girl?

The girl growls and the former Rainbow Fire mage swore he saw fangs in her mouth.

"What are you, deaf? I said hand over the fire you had!"

"She definitely inherited Natsu's level of tack.", Romeo thought before speaking, "Kid, as you can see I don't have any fire on me."

"Don't lie to me! I definitely smell the fire from over here! It was the best smelling fire I ever smell!", the girl declared, "Now hand it over, I'm hungry!"

"Did she smell Kasai?", Romeo wonders, "Kid, why don't you run along home? I'm sure your parents are looking for you", and with that Romeo stood up, turn around, and began walking away. He did this fully expecting the girl would take the hint and leave him alone.

What he was not expecting was to hear the words….

"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!"

Romeo looks over his shoulder in time to see a stream of flames coming straight for him. Acting quickly, he grabs one of the sides of his cloak and wraps it around his entire body just in time as the spell collided with it. Red runes began to glow all across the cloak and the flames quickly began to disperse, spreading outward and sizzling out upon doing so.

"What the?", the girl cries out just as Romeo flings his cloak back.

"Okay, that was uncalled for, kid! All I told you is that I don't have any fire! Now stop this little game of yours and go home!", Romeo shouts while thinking, "How in the Endless Abyss is she able to use such strong magic at such a young age? I couldn't use barely make a fireball when I was nine!"

Instead of the girl backing down, she did the exact opposite and took an offensive stance with her hands and feet becoming encase in flames.

"Not until you give me that fire!", she roars.

"This has to be a joke, right? Some cruel jest created by fate? Am I really going to be fighting Nastu's daughter my second day back?", Romeo thought just as the girl launches herself at him.

"FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!"

Back at the Connell's residence, Asuka was just coming out of the door after saying goodbye to Shinji and Rei and was down the stairs and on the main street of Magnolia. Her destination was the guild hall where a flesh new stack of jobs just came in this morning and was being hung up for everyone to choose from and if she hurries she might be able to snag a good one.

Due to her exhaustion from everything that happens to her last night, as soon as she got out of the shower and her face hit her pillow she was out cold until the next morning, so much that her mom had to wake her up. Though during the times before and after that she found her thoughts clouded by one single question.

Just who the hell was that stranger last night?

She has seen strong mages before, growing up in Fairy Tail it was a given. Hell, the guild's allies had mages on par with them and more powerful mages were flocking to their alliance all the time. But Asuka has never heard of a single person, mage or not, taking on an entire tribe of thirty-something Vulcans by themselves without magic or magical item. That man last night was like death incarnate and if he wanted to hurt Asuka after he was done with the Vulcans there would have been nothing the cowgirl could have done to stop him. She truly felt that even with two sidearm and a rifle she would have been helpless against him.

Asuka shudders at the thought as she walks up to the front door of the guild hall, surprised to see that there wasn't a hole in it….yet. Most people would write this off as nothing but for Fairy Tail, it meant something else. It meant that a fight hasn't broken out despite it almost being noon. It meant that no one has got into an argument. It meant that Guild Master Laxus wasn't in the mood to tolerate them arguing so they didn't. And finally, it meant that Laxus had something important to discuss with the guild and told them all to behave.

"I got a bad feeling about this", Asuka thought as she slowly opens the doors and peeks inside.

It would seem that her gut feeling was right as she found nearly the entire guild, some three hundred members waiting for her, and right smack in the center was the Wizard Saint/Magic Council member/ Guild Master, Laxus Dreyer.

"Come on in, kid", he spoke in a calm voice akin to an approaching thunderstorm, "I got some questions to ask you."

Back With Romeo

"Okay, it makes sense that Natsu's kid is a child prodigy given that he is one of the most powerful mages alive", Romeo told himself, "But the funny thing about being a child prodigy is…", he told himself as he looks at his extended arm to his hand which was holding a tiny ankle in its grasp. Said ankle was connected to a flailing little girl who was swinging wildly with her punches and kicks at Romeo but to no avail, "You are still only a child."

"Let me go! Let me go! I'll get my daddy to beat you up!", the kid screams as she kicks and punches the air.

"It's strange how I'm actually worried about that happening", Romeo thought but he also had to give the girl credit that she was quite skilled in terms of fighting ability. She was quick and agile for her age and even though she didn't land a single hit on him, the Summoner could tell that she was stronger than she looks. Plus her current magic level put most teenage mages to shame. It was a good thing that she wasn't mature enough to be able to cast a spell from her disadvantageous position of being upside down.

In short, there was no way Romeo could have beaten her if he was her age and he would have had a hard time fighting her even back when he was thirteen.

"She's an S-Class mage in the making. I wonder who her mother is. Her eyes look familiar", he thought right before he leans to his left and a snowball goes flying by him from behind.

"You can go ahead and come out now! I already know you have been standing there for the last minute or so!", Romeo shouts before looking over his shoulder at the forest the direction snowball came from. Out from the bushes came a boy wearing a light blue button-up sleeveless shirt who looks to be around the same age as the girl who was wearing a pair of dark blue pants, sandals, and a head full of spiky light blue hair. He seems to be less confident than the girl as Romeo notices that his knees were slightly shaking and he was fidgeting with his glasses.

"Okay, I'm two for two so far. Let's go for three in a row", Romeo thought as he studied the boy, "That was definitely a cold like magic, possibly Ice-Make. He has blue hair so I'm going to go and say he is Gray's son."

"Your dad an Ice-Make mage named Gray Fullbuster?", Romeo asks to which the boy timidly nodded.

"Y-yes, he is. My mom uses Water Magic", he answers.

If the boy could see Romeo's eyes underneath his hood, he would see they were as wide as dinner plates.

"I hardly doubt another woman using Water Magic has made a move on Gray and now that he mentions it that hair looks quite familiar. Wow, I guess all of Juvia's stubbornness finally paid off, good for her", he thought.

"Ur, don't go telling him everything! He is not your friend!", the girl shouts at the boy who seems to flinch back in response to it.

"B-but what else am I suppose to do, Nashi?", Ur asks.

"I don't know but don't go being all nice to him! He's a dark mage after all!", Nashi answers.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!", Romeo shouts, "I am a lot of things, kid, but I ain't no dark mage!"

"Oh yeah, then why did you attack me?", Nashi asks as she crossed her arms, "Explain that!"

"Because you attacked me!", the Summoner argues back.

"Cause you wouldn't give me any of that tasty smelling fire of yours!"

Romeo moves to point out the girl's hypocritical statement when his ears pick up the sound of something coming down straight at him from above.

He quickly flings Nashi over to Ur and looks up in time to see a giant blade coming down on his face.

A/N: I guess the best description for Ur would be he looks like Max from pokemon.
