The nighttime, when the bright moon was enveloping the whole island with the white, pleasant light, was for both, Hiccup and Toothless, the favorite part of every day. While for the man such a reflection existed since the day he was born, the woman only recently found out about the advantages of it.

It turned out, surrounded by the darkness, the island was the most peaceful, the quietest place, ideal for a relaxing hike, or even, decerebrating moment. Obviously, it may seem startling, to just walk through the gloomy, treacherous forest, but not when there is a partner, that clearly is capable of warding off even a bear.

Consequently, it wasn't anything surprising that the two of them were having such strolls at least twice a week, and also today. Holding each other's hands, they wandered forward, swinging their connected arms, playfully.

While the woman was gazing around, amazed by the beauty of the blackness, the man was gaping straight at her, astonished that, despite changing, the stars were still visible in her eyes, sparkling dazzlingly. Eventually, she peeked at him and grinned, detecting his stare on her.

Flushed, Toothless grunted and attempted to wander her thoughts away from the awkward event, by asking, "What was that word again? Vegratian?"

"Vegetarian," she corrected him, lifting the corner of her mouth, agreeing on a rather peculiar distraction. "It is when ya don't like meat."

"And you are that vegetrian?" he inquired, and after Hiccup nodded, frowned confused. "Since that, why are you saying that only now?"

"Well, because it's nothin' to be proud of," Hiccup muttered, correcting the placement of the sunflower, whose stalk was tucked behind her ear. "I mean, imagine seein' my father deny chicken. That would be weird."

"Maybe, but from what I remember your name isn't Stoic, but Hiccup," Toothless spotted, narrowing his eyes at her. "Also, haven't you eaten meat just a week ago a chicken on lunch at the clubhouse with us?"

"Ya think why I have left earlier than anybody did?"

"That's why you refused when I proposed hunting bigger animals?"

"Yeah," she confessed and gazed at him, embarrassment transforming her face. "I'm sorry-,"

"Why would you apologize?" he interrupted, stopping the two of them on the spot. "There is nothing you should be sorry for. If anything, I should be sorry for forcing you into eating something that you don't like."

"Don't ya dare apologize, Toothless. I don't blame ya for anythin', and neither should ya," Hiccup warned, hardening her expression. "The truth is I, maybe, should've told ya about it earlier, but I just felt," she paused, hugging herself tight.

"Freckle, there is nothing shameful about being you," he assured, and pushing with his hand the back of her head he pressed her forehead against his chest, hiding his nose in her auburn hair. "You are perfect."

Afterward, she just sighed, before gazing to the side and calling, "Toothless, look," wide-eyed at the sight she witnessed.

The spot on which Hiccup pointed with her head was a spectacular, lake panorama, surrounded by dark trees, in which's water was reflected the huge, blank moon. Covered by white lilies and green, wet grass, that vista gained a natural beauty, which easily could've been compared to the view they observed while each time stepping inside the cove.

Eventually, after surveying it for a longer period, the woman glanced up at the man, who lifted an eyebrow at her while she grinned, mysteriously. Moving forward toward the water, Hiccup soaked her hand in sweet, warm liquid, before proposing.

"What will ya say about enjoyin' this wonderful day a little more?"

"What exactly you're suggesting?"

"Let's make it a wash day," Hiccup offered, and with a swift move took off her shirt, revealing the white bandage encircling her chest. "Or maybe ye're too scared of unknown water, old man?"

"Old man?" Toothless snorted, crossing his arms. "We're the same age, smartass."

Thereafter, the only thing Hiccup has done was roll her eyes at him, before untying her shoes, from either of her feet. In the meantime, Toothless was about to undress too, but instead of doing that, his eyes locked on Hiccup's figure.

Despite the fact that a lot of time passed since he has swam with her for the first time, nothing changed about her. Hiccup's sculpture was still skinny, maybe even a little more because of that rather alone, depressing time, the same hair, loosely tied into a braid, was brushing her back with each movement she made, while, she was bent forward, making it impossible to glimpse her face for him.

Just as Hiccup unknotted them, Toothless understood how embarrassing his staring must have been, but even so, he didn't do much about it, only felt the blame inside himself and ignored it. The truth was he still couldn't believe his luck, how he managed to gain Hiccup's love, so whenever he got a chance, he just gaped, questioning the reality around him.

The fact that his beloved woman, his partner, and hopefully his future mate, was here, every day, whenever he woke up, whenever he ate, whenever he needed, always, was like a dream. Everyday day was like a dream, and he would hate to wake up from it, every day with Hiccup was just splendid, the same as this moment, at least until her bandage has fallen.

Instantly, he turned away, tightening the cross of his arms, while Hiccup snickered, "What's with ya?" and asked from behind his back.

"You have-," he stopped, once his throat dried and he couched, suddenly. "You have dropped something."

"Why, yes," she confirmed, sounding as if she was about to burst into a giggle. "As a matter of fact, on purpose. Does it bother ya?" she questioned and groaned, when he nodded, cautiously. "Come on, honey. We're a couple, there is nothin' wron' with seein' each other naked."

"I know, I just was caught by surprise."

As a reply to his quiet clarify, Hiccup hummed agreeing, before throwing down something, that sounded like a pile of clothes. "If so, then turn around now. No surprises about what ya will see," she added, but Toothless's back only tensed, when he shook his head, unable to move. "Alright, weirdo, stay there as long as ya would like, but I'm goin' into the water."

Subsequently, he heard the following after it splash into mentioned water, but even so, didn't find the courage to glance at anything else, but before himself. Unfortunately, the place wasn't as interesting as it might seem by the present lake because after staring at the two boulders before himself blankly, he got bored, fast.

It appeared that Hiccup too, because eventually, she called after him, "Toothless, I have to say ya somethin'. Come here, I promise ya won't see anythin'," and swore, when neither of his muscles moved.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

Consequently, after a rather awkward trade of statements, Toothless exhaled but did as ordered and gazed in her direction. Fortunately, instead of seeing forbidden, he only witnessed her being covered by opaque water from the neck down, leaning on the stone, lake's border.

Because of that, he walked to her, while she admitted, "I have lied to ya in the past," smiling awkwardly.

"Nothing new," he joked and kneeled on the ground just in front of the water, while her eyes leveled his feet. "What about this time?"

"First of all, that was the only thin' I lied to ya about, so ya have no right to laugh about it," she grumbled, glaring at his amused eyes. "And now, I lied, because the truth is, people are actually always washin' naked. It's even more hazardous to do it on clothin'."

"Oh really," he mocked, frowning while smiling. "You expect me to believe that?"

"I'm serious. The clothes are dryin' longer than the skin does, so when the human body is left on the cold wind, which on the Berk is almost unavoidable, in the soakin' clothin', there is a risk of dangerous hypothermia, and hence, death."

"If so, then I'm almost certain in exchange for not seeing me naked you endangered our lives?"

"That would be correct," she verified, pressing her lips together awkwardly and tapping her fingers into the grass in front of her, while Toothless squinted his eyes. "Anyway, are ya comin' or are ya not?"

Abruptly after, Hiccup pushed herself backward, floating on her back for a second, giving him a view of everything, from her beaming, pleased face to her bare chest, ending with the knotted thighs. Hence, he knew nothing, his brain overloaded, and he felt as if it started melting, but one was certain: this image burned out in his head, already.

Subsequent to it, Hiccup dived into the water, forgetting about the flower attached to her ear, which began drowning, and leaving flushed as never Toothless alone, gasping panicky when she disappeared. Later on, her head broke the surface, and she brushed off her face some glued to it hair, before gazing at Toothless, smiling brightly.

"Ya still didn't answer my question," she pointed out, holding onto auburn strands. "Ye're makin' that situation more awkward than it should be."

The man didn't reply, panting soundlessly, while ricocheting everything else, but not at the woman, who began getting worried and frowned at him, concerned. Ultimately, she swam just a little forward toward him, and instantly at the movement, he stood up, with his back straightened and tensed at each of his limbs.

Inhaling, Toothless made an effort to calm his racing heart, unsuccessfully. He shouldn't behave like that, he knew and only proved that glimpsing Hiccup fretting consoling, although resulting in the opposite effect. Consequently, he finally found in himself the courage to look at her, grunt, and command.

"Turn around."

"Why?" she asked, but understood shortly after when he grasped both sides of his shirt, nervously. "Are ya seriously ashamed to-,"

"Hiccup, please," he begged, skimming at the ground fast, before again gaping at her. "I've done that for you, please, return a favor."

"Alright, alright, if ya insist," she gave up and listened to him, pivoting away, afterward muttering, staring into empty liquid. "Ya know that I wouldn't mind if ya peeked at me a moment ago. Actually, I hoped ya would," she giggled and exhaled defeated, when he remained silent, and the only voices around were the ones of his crumping clothing. "I thought ya would like to."

"It's not that," he replied, quietly.

"Then what's it?"

"I'm not sure," he answered and Hiccup heard how the material of his clothing hit the ground. "I'm just," he paused, while the water around her waved, making her certain he slid inside it, "nervous. I had never been in such a position, before."

"Neither I was, and that's why I want ya to stop freakin' out, I want us both to enjoy this moment and not be scared about it," Hiccup acknowledged and looked to the side, avoiding his sight behind herself. "Can I look now?"

"Yes," Toothless responded, after a rather awkward silence, followed by his mumbling. "Yes, you can."

Consequently, Hiccup turned around and lifted the corner of her mouth at the view of Toothless's head, almost as if it floated on the water without a body. Instantly, glimpsing her reaction, he dipped even more, hiding his nose in a liquid, probably hoping to hide his blush, unsuccessfully, because it has traveled to his forehead, already.

Afterward, without any hesitation, the woman dove into the water and swam forward, surfacing just before him. Giggling, she scanned his surprised self, how he drew farther from her, and whisper-shouted, almost as if he was offended.

"Hiccup!"

"What?!" she pretended to be him, and rolled her eyes, when his eyes leered at the water and back at her, swiftly. "I didn't see anythin', I promise! Or maybe, ye're worried that I saw somethin' I shouldn't, for example, hidden, not removed pants."

"I do take off my pants and I'm not worried about you seeing me."

"Oh really?" she inquired, leaning forward toward him, and glimpsed how he inched away, pressing his back into a stone border, closing up her expression. "Okay, that's enough," she droned, stepping away and furrowing while gazing into the water. "It's gettin' ridiculous. Let's just get out of here."

"Hold on, before we do," he reacted fast, knitting his brows guilty when she googled at him. "Are you mad at me? Because I didn't-,"

"No, no. I'm not. It's just," she interjected and paused, inhaling soundly. "That whole situation, this was supposed to be somethin' enjoyable for us. I want to initiate contact, initiate somethin' more, somethin' different from the usual, but ya don't want it...and that's okay," she conceded, giving him a smiley, weak, once-over, before staring somewhere to her right. "It's somethin' we both should agree to, and I can't force ya to that, I'm sorry."

"Who said that I don't want that?" Toothless queried suddenly, receiving from Hiccup a rather confused expression. "I know that you could've taken it from context, but I do want to do this, I would love to do this. I'm just frightened, you know? I have no idea about this, I never had a chance to learn about it, and I don't want to fuck this up."

"It's okay to be frightened about it," she declared, moving toward him receiving none of his denials, and leaned her hands against his shoulders. "If ye're so unsure about it, then let me lead ya."

Right away, she griped his skin and pushed him forward toward herself, and provoked a kiss, which Toothless only returned, instinctively and naturally. While their tongues began knitting around each other, Hiccup reduced the distance between them, crushing her breasts against his chest, on which Toothless tensed shocked but loosened after the second.

It was at that moment when the whole world disappeared, leaving them both only with the taste of each other, the feeling of warmth of both their bodies, and a little cold, but at that point cooling down, water around. After a few minutes, when Toothless's fuming brain obscured any thinking, Hiccup broke the kiss and gaped at him, before whispering into his ear.

"Give me yer hand."

In the response, or rather as a lack of it, Toothless stared at her blankly, not understanding even one of the words she has spoken. Raising a brow at his unconscious self, Hiccup grinned, before taking by force his numb arm and positioning it on her side, next to her stomach.

"Whenever ye'll want to, ya can slide it up."

Before his mind could even realize what she had meant, Hiccup bit onto his earlobe, and he didn't even notice when her mouth appeared against his lips. If every day with Hiccup is a dream, this moment must have been fucking after-death paradise, he stated, deepening the contact, finally able to move by himself.

Slowly and barely, he was moving his hand upward, but it was in such a gentle way, that neither of them sensed it, until his hand stopped by the curve of her chest. It was then that his limb froze and only his two, longest fingers touched it, before impatient Hiccup, not ceasing the kiss, grasped his wrist and without any warning moved his palm to the top of her bosom.

Afterward, with cocked brows, Toothless experienced a brand new part of his partner's body, expanding his fingers away, although keeping the middle of his hand against her, which could've felt her nipple, surprisingly warm and really hard nipple, underneath it.

Fortunately, instead of being stunned as he was earlier, he accepted the way of things and gripped her skin, before caressing it. Immediately, Hiccup whimpered, tightening her hold on Toothless's shoulder, because of which in between kisses, he asked, swiftly and quietly.

"Is it okay?"

"Yes, yes," she answered whispering, and paused, crushing her lips into his. "Don't stop, love."

As ordered, he did and it wasn't even a moment when her whining under his touch got so loud, that it scared some of the birds off the trees. Eventually, his fingers, middle one and pointing occurred to be at each side of her nipple, and as he squeezed it, Hiccup moaned, stopping the contact of their mouths, and leaned her forehead on his neck, tightening her eyes.

"Everything alright?" he mumbled, himself panting, and despite glimpsing her nodding, he loosened every hold he had on her, witnessing her dark, scarlet, sweaty face and still firmly shut eyelids. "Are you sure?"

It was a snapping point for Hiccup because after that question she leaned backward, glancing somewhere away, while disappointment transformed her face. Without the need to analyze the movement, Toothless took away his hand and muttered, ashamed.

"I ruined it, didn't I?"

"A little bit, yes."

Subsequently, she wanted to step away, but he didn't let her, encircling his arms around her middle, pressing his torso into hers, whereas her breasts freely grazed his. "I'm sorry," he apologized, tensing his hold, as if he was afraid that the moment he'll let go of her she'll disappear forever.

"It's fine, honey," she murmured, and frowned at him, while the concern clouded her features. "I would just like to know what goin' on with ya. From where does that unsureness come?" she retorted, peeking at him, seriously. "Ya don't have to do that if ya don't want to."

"I want to, I swear," he pledged, trying to bring her closer to himself, but Hiccup only pushed him away, pressing her hands into his chest. "It's more complicated than ya may think."

"How's that?" she snarled and glared at him, snappily. "Honestly, I would have never guessed ye'll behave like that. I mean, ye're Night Fury, the dragon, animal! I thought ya would just act by instinct."

"By instinct, you say?" he repeated and narrowed his eyes at her mysteriously, making her shiver on the back. "Would you like to see what it wants me to do?"

Her nodding was as if she passed judgment on herself because unexpectedly, he gripped her strongly, turned around, taking her with himself, and pinned her back against the same stone, lake's border, keeping her there by her upper arms. In the meantime, he leaned over her, gaping at her like he was never before, hungrily, like a predator looking at its prey, and she turned crimson, feeling him against the inner side of her thigh, hard.

"Fast and strong, so you'll moan loudly enough that your fucking cousin will hear us all the way from here in his bedroom," he growled into her ear, lifted both her arms over her head, and tacked them by keeping her wrists with his one hand, while the other one gripped her thigh and squeezed it to his side. "For the whole, damned time I'm trying to hold myself, just so as not to spook you, but the truth is I'm close to madness. Not only do I have to fight off my instinct, the urge to just fuck you like a quoted animal, but also you're not making it easier to refrain, at all," he uncovered and smirked sizing her up, her struck dumb self. "So, now that you know, say my beauty, would you like me to go beastlike on you? Should I listen to my instinct, finally?"

Exhaling shakily, Hiccup didn't flinch away, conversely, leaned closer, whispered, "I always liked mister instinct," and relaxed her body, letting him take charge of her.

Afterward, before doing anything else, Toothless smiled at her gently, kissed her temple softly, and just then, his expression closed up, allowing his instinctual sense to take over himself. Cupping her thigh harder, just underneath her ass, he held up her bottom half to his hips, however, nothing had begun, because suddenly, he glistened at the trees, furiously.

Half conscious, soaked in sweet lake water and salt sweat, Hiccup knitted her brows at him puzzled, and it was eventually, that she understood, hearing the rustle of leaves of bushes. Panting, she gazed at Toothless, unable to move and think, wishing the man has some answers, but he just looked troubled at her, creasing his forehead.

Ultimately, it occurred that the guilty for the whole fuss was Tuffnut, who revealed himself wearing a bright grin and carrying the leather towel in the arm. Consequently, his eyes glimpsed Toothless inside the water, with his arms spreaded and leaned on the lake's border behind himself, and the blond-haired man brightened.

"Who do we have here? Night Fury itself!" he cheered, while his eyes gleamed, excited. "So, ya found mine hidin' spot, didn't ya?"

Expanding his back by stretching his blades, Toothless replied, "It appears so," glancing anywhere else, than at Tuffnut in front of him.

While the twin reacted by chuckling, little did he know that there weren't actually two of them, but three, because the female, curled figure, also known as flushed Hiccup, hiding behind Toothless's broad back, trying to calm down her loud puffing. Unaware Tuffnut of that undressed his shirt, and dropping it on the ground inquired.

"Ya don't mind a little company, right?"

"Actually I do. I would prefer to stay by myself. Alone. Without even a little company," Toothless objected, feeling the Hiccup's hot breathing behind himself, which send a shiver down his spine. "Just go away, please."

"If I'm botherin' ya, ya can always just leave."

Thereafter, Toothless turned his head to the side, pursing his lips together awkwardly, making the woman witnessing it sure that Tuffnut just nude himself. In the meantime, his eye caught a glimpse of Hiccup who lifted a corner of her mouth momentarily, awkwardly and reassuringly, and he responded with the same.

Later on, audible was a loud splash of water, and surfacing after jumping into the lake Tuffnut inhaled, before snorting. "So, ya stay?"

"I guess."

"Nice of ya," Tuffnut contented, leaning on the opposite border to Toothless's lake's border, and hummed when the realization dawned on his face. "Ya know, that's the first time have had a chance to spend time only in two."

"Really?" Toothless crooned, holding himself back so as not to burst into a laugh, and guessing from the sounds from behind him, Hiccup did too. "That's interesting."

"In that case, I can finally ask ya these questions I have waited with for these months," Tuffnut proposed, while his eyes shined with enthusiasm. "Ya don't mind, right?"

"Right," Toothless muttered, stroking his eyelids, before sighing. "Let's just get over with this."

Unfortunately for both of them, what was hoped to be ten minutes of questions was two hours of unnecessary babbling coming from the most irritating creature in the world: Tuffnut. As it turned out, the twin held in himself those ask since the first day he actually found out about the Night Fury, but alas, he chose this day, this inopportune day, to reveal them.

The worst of all wasn't even the amount of them, the surprisingly large amount, but stupidity of theirs, resulting in both their boredom after just a few minutes. It got to the point that Hiccup didn't bother herself with being caught, and she began scraping off some flaws on Toothless's back, like scabs and little spots, playfully.

By some next time, when her fingernail mistaken the mole for another pimple, the man muttered sharply, "Just a minute more and we'll do it on his eyes," resulting in Hiccup's awkward smile and her leaving his poor, tensed, back nerves alone.

Eventually, it all came to the moment, when Hiccup was slowly falling asleep while relying on the cold grass of the lake's border. Through that, she could've heard the conversation going on between the two men, but ignoring it, fast, she lost track of their words, and also, any touch with reality.

Ultimately, she was rekindled, once feeling a grip of a large hand on her shoulder, which shook her, gently but in the same way stimulating. Gazing at the owner of it, Hiccup glimpsed Toothless grinning, and while she wiped her eyes, he started.

"Tuffnut left."

"He did?" she mumbled, straightening and yawning. "When?"

"Just a second ago. He took his towel, wore pants, shoes, and left," he explained, and while Hiccup nodded, he bent, so as to level his eyes with hers. "Well, I know you're tired, but if you would like to, we can always continue what he has interrupted. We don't have to, but we can."

"I'm all awake and yers to take," Hiccup replied and giggled, beaming. "It rhythmed."

"You're so adorable it's almost a shame to fuck you," Toothless noted, encircling his arms around her hips, bringing her closer to himself. "But I will anyway."

Subsequent to that, they kissed and it seemed that the world around became a safe, wonderful space, that the evening couldn't get any better, and it didn't, predictably. What forced them to break apart was a gasp, shocked and terrified gasp, and gazing in the direction of its creator they glimpsed shirtless Tuffnut, who forgot his shirt, wide-mouthed.

His eyes, instead of looking at their faces, were actually gaping at the point just under them, or rather Hiccup and Toothless immediately understood what was happening. Instantly, he tensed his grip on the beloved woman and pressed his body to hers, just so as to cover her private parts, but it was too late because Tuffnut fainted either way.

Consequently, hissing, Hiccup observed his impact while Toothless looked at it, indifferently. "I don't know how about you, but I'm fine with it."

"No, no," Hiccup objected when Toothless leaned forward to kiss her. "Don't exaggerate it, I won't do that in front of a corpse, neither unconscious nor dead."

Afterward, Toothless gaped at her, beggingly, with his eyes being round and pouting, innocently, but Hiccup only shook her head, narrowing her eyes at him. To that, he only sighed, last time tilted his head questioning, and glimpsing her another denial sighed.

"Alright, alright," he grumbled, and Hiccup, as a reassuring gesture, cupped his cheeks with her hands and kissed his nose. "Next time," he added, pressing his forehead to hers, to which Hiccup responded by beaming.
