Ace woke up in his bed and glanced at his clock, he noticed it said '8:21'. Upon seeing this, he immediately jumped up and got his uniform on before rushing to the elevator. He went to the ground floor of the lookout and hopped out, immediately being greeted by Marshall.

"There you are, I've been worried you'd never wake up." Marshall said to him.

Ace rolled his eyes. "Sorry uncle, I must've wasted a bit too much energy yesterday and slept in." Ace replied. "Do you know where dad is?"

"He's in the kitchen with Ryder discus-." Marshall got cut off.

"Alright thanks!" Ace said while dashing toward the kitchen.

"No problem..." Marshall said as he watched him almost disappear before him.

"That kid is a speed demon when he needs to be." Zuma said from the couch. "He heawd the wowd kitchen and was gone befowe you even finished youw sentence."

Ace entered the kitchen and saw Chase and Ryder sitting at the table drinking Coffee and discussing something while gesturing to a blueprint sitting on the table.

"Hey dad." Ace said as he walked in.

Ryder immediately grabbed the weird blueprint and rolled it up, then hid it in his jacket. "H-Hey Ace." Ryder said to him.

"Hey son." Chase said while sipping his coffee.

"What was the blueprint about?" Ace asked.

"It w-was... uhh..." Ryder tried to think of something.

"Nothing." Chase said, staring at Ace.

Ace could tell from Chase's expression that 'nothing' meant 'none of your business', so he didn't push further. Ace went over to his food bowl which was the only food bowl that still even had food in it and began eating.

"So, I see you're finally awake." Chase said.

"Yeah, sorry for sleeping in so late. I didn't miss anything right?" Ace asked.

"Not much, Zuma jokingly hit on Rocky, not that Rocky even noticed, then Marshall plowed through everyone in the elevator, then Skye joked about something from last night that I don't remember. And that's about it." Chase replied, taking another sip of his coffee.

"No missions yet?" Ace asked him.

"Nope, though me and you could go down to the police department and begin training anyone who joined the ABPD recently." Chase proposed.

"Sure, it's something to do instead of sit here and count ceiling tiles all day." Ace said as he finished eating.

"Counting ceiling tiles?" Ryder questioned.

"Yep, I didn't finish counting them but there's a least twenty something in the main room." Ace responded.

"Wow, next you're going to tell me you counted all the power outlets here." Ryder said, jokingly.

"I might." Ace replied.

"Already did that, 36." Chase said.

"Or not... Dad beat me to it." Ace said.

"So, we going?" Chase asked Ace.

"Hmm? Oh yeah, let's go." Ace replied before dashing out of the room.

Chase looked at Ryder, and Ryder looked back at him. "You may have adopted him but it definitely seems like he's your biological son." Ryder whispered to the shepherd.

"When will... 'It' be done?" Chase asked, referring to the blueprint.

"According to Rocky, probably tomorrow." Ryder replied.

"Alright good, can't wait to have a new friend around here." Chase said before slowly following behind Ace.

The two shepherds were at the door of the lookout when they heard Zuma call to them. Ace turned to him to see what he needed.

"Whewe you two going?" Zuma asked.

"Adventure Bay Police Department, to train the new recruits." Ace replied.

"Oh, you weren't lying about that? Alright." Zuma said before continuing to watch TV.

Ace and Chase left the lookout and began their walk toward the police station, as they crossed the bridge to enter Adventure Bay they stopped and looked at the bay that bordered the town. They stared at the horizon for a few minutes before continuing their journey. After a few more minutes of walking they finally made it to the blue and white building that housed the towns police force, the two shepherds entered the building and were immediately greeted by all the staff.

"How many pups are we training today?" Chase asked.

"Standard amount, only 6." The front desk responded.

Chase then turned to Ace. "You ready?" Chase asked.

"Yep." Ace responded.

Meanwhile, on the Mountain

Jake, Everest, and Sarah were all stuck in the resort due to a storm on the mountain. While Jake was cleaning up around the resort, Everest was with Sarah, chatting. He insisted on her interacting with the new pup. So she did, telling her about the surrounding region. Eventually their conversation shifted toward the PAW Patrol, and Sarah learned that Everest worked for them.

"Do they assist you two around the mountain?" Sarah asked.

"Not really, we can handle the mountain by ourselves and only need their help occasionally." Everest replied.

"You sure you can handle it?" Sarah questioned, referencing yesterday when they returned to the resort, exhausted.

"Okay, normally we can. Sometimes we could use help but we get it done by ourselves nonetheless." Everest responded.

"Maybe you should hire someone else to help, I'm sure someone around here would be happy to assist you." Sarah said to her.

"I'm sure we will, eventually." Everest said back.

The two continued chatting for the next few minutes until Jake and Everest received a call that someone needed help on the mountain, yet again. They grabbed their jackets and Everest grabbed her puppack then they rushed out of the resort.

The weather was harsh on the mountain; visibility was horrible, and it was far below freezing. Despite the horrible conditions, they moved onward toward the location of the signal. It was hard to locate it exactly due to the storm, but eventually it led them to a large, steep hill going downward. Jake and Everest looked at the sharp decline and knew it would be risky. Luckily, Everest had packed a pair of climbing pickaxes for occasions like this. Unfortunately, she only had one pair, so she'd have to go down alone. As Everest descended, Jake told her that he'd find another way down and meet her at the bottom.

Eventually, Everest made it down, packed up the climbing pickaxes, and tried to call Jake over her puptag. Unfortunately, the connection was horrible due to the storm. However, somehow, the signal was still broadcasting, so she decided to meet Jake at its location.

At the lookout.

Ryder and Rocky were hard at work developing the robotic canine once again. The main body of it was complete; now they were just coding it and making sure the commands actually worked. The last thing they wanted was for it to end up like Robopup did when Ryder first built him. They didn't yet have a name for this new member, but they didn't really care about naming it for now; they just wanted to make sure it worked. Maybe the other pups would come up with a name for it when it was finished.

"I understand most of the code but what's that line for?" Ryder asked while pointing at one of the lines of code on the computer.

"That's a backup command in case something goes wrong, it'll immediately cause it to shutdown upon receiving it. It's only meant to be use in worst case scenarios." Rocky explained.

"And this one?" Ryder asked, pointing to another line of code.

"That's Uhh, t-that's one not impor-" Rocky got cut off by Ryder's puppad.

Ryder lifted his puppad and saw it was Jake calling him.

"Hey Jake, what do you need?" Ryder asked.

"Hey Ryder, we need assistance up here. We received a signal requesting help, so me and Everest went to locate them but we got separated in the storm here and I can't find her." Jake told him, clearly worried.

"Don't worry Jake, we'll be there soon!" Ryder said before calling all the pups. "PAW Patrol, to the lookout!"

Rocky looked down at his puptag as it glowed and he heard Ryder's voice through it. He looked up at Ryder and smiled. "Ryder needs us!" Rocky said, jokingly.

Ryder giggled a little as the two left the room and went to the elevator; the rest of the pups joined them in the elevator, before Marshall slammed into all of them. After laughing it off, they continued their climb to the top of the lookout, stopping halfway to get their gear on before continuing to the top. When they made it up, everyone jumped into formation, while Ryder went to the large monitor. Everyone sat silently, waiting for Chase to say his line before noticing he and Ace were missing.

"Where's Chase?" Skye asked.

"They'we at the police station, they'll pwobably be hewe soon." Zuma said.

The pups then noticed the elevator start descending back down, presumably to pick the two missing pups up. Then eventually return to the top with them in tow, Chase and Ace joined the rest in formation.

"PAW Patrol, ready for action, Ryder sir!" Chase said to his leader.

"Thanks for coming quickly pups, We've received a call from Jake that they needed backup. They got a signal that someone needed help on the mountain, him and Everest went to locate the signal but got separated in the storm and now Jake can't locate her." Ryder told the pups.

"We need to save her!" Marshall said.

"He definitely has a thing for her." Ace whispered to Chase.

"Yeah, hundred percent he does." Chase whispered back.

"That's right Marshall! For this mission I'll need... Chase! I'll need you to use your megaphone to try to call out for her in the snow, maybe if she hears you she'll try to signal her location to you somehow." Ryder said.

"Chase is on the case." Chase responded.

"Next, I'll need... Marshall! I'll need you to be ready to help with any injuries in case either Jake or Everest get injured in the storm." Ryder said.

"I'm fired up!" Marshall responded.

"I'll also need Ace, you assist Chase in searching for Everest." Ryder said.

"Stabsgefreiter, reporting for duty Mannschaftskapitän!" Ace responded.

"Alright! PAW Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder said before sliding down the firepoll next to him.

Chase, Marshall, and Ace slid down the slide that surrounded the lookout and landed in their respective vehicles. Ace's vehicle was more armored and heavier than the other pup's vehicles, being modeled after the TPz Fuchs used by the Bundeswehr. The reasoning for Ryder choosing this likely being that Ace was already familiar with this type of vehicle, but nonetheless, it being significantly heavier would help immensely if the storm got worse.

It took a short while, but eventually the three pups, along with Ryder, made it to the resort. Marshall ran inside and began getting ready to treat any injuries they might have sustained immediately upon their return. Meanwhile, Ace and Chase grabbed some helmets from the Fuchs that had headlamps attached to them to hopefully help them see in the storm. They also noted that Everest's snowcat was still parked at the resort, meaning she had gone on foot. Chase began using his drone to try to locate either Jake or Everest, but had no luck due to the weather. However, he did pick up on a signal in the distance; he wasn't sure if it was Jake or Everest or if it was even them in the first place, but he decided that he'd check it out anyway. Ace and Chase got ready one last time before beginning to travel to the signal's location.

Meanwhile, at the signal's location.

Everest made it to the location where the mysterious signal was coming from – a cave at the bottom of a steep cliff. This was good news to her, as it meant shelter from the storm. She entered and began looking around for whoever was broadcasting it; eventually, she found a small device lying on the ground with a red light blinking on top of it. She looked at it confused before hearing a noise behind her. She turned around quickly and was almost immediately pushed to the ground. She tried to get up, but whoever pushed her held her down.

"Let me go!" Everest yelled, still struggling to push them away. Eventually, she succeeded and managed to push them off her. She quickly got up, getting ready to fight. The shadowy figure also stood up and raised its head; enough light came in from the cave opening to reveal the figure to be a Wolf, much larger than any other canine she'd ever met. The wolf slowly approached her, growling. Everest was sure a fight was about to break out, and that she'd lose. Until she heard a familiar voice yell something German from the cave entrance.

"Halt!" The voice yelled, Everest saw the wolf turn toward the entrance and growl much louder.

Bang!

Everest watched as the wolf flew backward onto the ground. She turned toward the cave opening and saw Ace standing there, aiming a G36 at the wolf. Then she noticed Chase standing behind him, holding a handgun. He signaled for her to get behind him, so she did. The three pups quickly started walking away from the cave in the direction of the resort, Chase grabbed his puptag and called Ryder.

"Sir, we found Everest." Chase said to his leader.

"Good, I found Jake not too long ago. Meet me at the resort." Ryder told him.

"On the way, Ryder sir." Chase responded before ending the call. The three pups then began traveling back toward the resort.

Some time later...

Chase, Ace, and Everest all made it back to the resort and went inside. They saw Marshall checking on Jake and declared him mostly fine, with the exception of very minor frostbite. Upon seeing Everest, Marshall's expression immediately changed to extreme worry. He ran over to her and began checking for any injuries while Ace explained what he could. When they heard about the wolf Ace had shot, they all looked shocked.

"Is she alright?" Ryder asked.

"Surprisingly, yes. She isn't injured except for bruising on her head." Marshall told them.

"That's likely from when I impacted the ground after he pushed me." Everest said.

Ryder, Jake, Everest, and Marshall began chatting while Chase pulled Ace aside to have his own small conversation with him.

"You okay?" Chase asked him.

"Yeah? Why wouldn't I be? I wasn't the one that was stuck in the freezing cold." Ace replied.

"No but you did possibly just take the life of another living being, I just wanted to make sure you were alright." Chase said to him.

Ace glanced down at the ground briefly. "It's not the first time I've had to." Ace responded.

"Hmm? You've taken one before?" Chase asked.

"Not just one, many. It's was pretty much my job in the Kriegshunde. After a while you just kinda get used to it." Ace said to him.

Chase opened his mouth but no words came out, him and Ace turned toward the others and just waited in silence until it was time for them to return to the lookout.

At the lookout.

Rocky was in his room working on the robodog once more, he changed code after code and tried command after command until finally, he heard the Iron Canine speak.

"Yes, Creator." The robotic pup said.

It didn't execute the command given yet, but it even responding and acknowledging the command being given meant he was close to completing it. He soon heard footsteps in the hallway and then someone knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Rocky asked.

"Ryder." The person replied.

"Come in." Rocky said.

Ryder entered the room and looked at the progress Rocky had made while he was gone, Rocky excitingly informed him of the fact that the robodog actually acknowledged commands given to it now and that they were so close to completing it.

"How long until it'll be done?" Ryder asked.

"At this rate? A couple hours." Rocky replied.

"Alright then. Y'know, It's getting kinda late. Why don't we finish this tomorrow?" Ryder said.

"Sure, I'm ready to get some rest after today. Tons of progress has been made." Rocky responded.

Ryder nodded and left the room to send the other pups to sleep, Rocky hopped onto his bed and just stared at the roof in silence until he heard all the other pups enter the basement and go to their respective rooms. Rocky then turned to the robodog still laying on the table and smiled.

"Tomorrow, you'll be finished, and the whole team with understand my brilliance." Rocky said before rolling over and falling asleep soon after.

And that's the end of Chapter 2, next time we'll meet the newest member in the PAW Patrol family. I wonder how the other pups will react to them...

Anyways, until the next chapter, Bye everyone!
