She had wanted to know who her biological parents were. That was the original goal. But the researcher in her wanted more from the results. How detailed was this potion? How did magic work, well, it's magic? How did it affect the different blood statuses? The list went on. Which meant she needed some volunteers to take the blood potion so she could exam them.

Luckily, Professor Snape had been wanting to test her in advanced potions for a while now. They were only 3rd years, and he was positive that if she just started questioning things instead of just trusting what a book says, she could be at his level one day. This might be his only chance to see if she had the potential for a possible apprenticeship.

He made the announcement to each class about a research project that needed volunteers. There would be a sign up sheet and the student who go through with it til the end will earn 50 points for their house.

For Miss Granger herself, after setting a date for the potion to be distributed, he wanted her to write an essay about the potion, its ingredients, uses, and cons as well as a practice run of the potion that he would use on Professor Sinatra (who volunteered as she had been adopted herself) before the big day.

In the end there were enough volunteers to need the Great Hall. All the Heads of Houses stood ready along the tables to answer questions and what not. Professor Dumbledore was the only one absent as he had been stuck in a locked down Wizagamot session for the past week as what annually happened. Personally, Snape was relieved he wasn't here. Dumbledore tended to try to control things he didn't need to be controling. For example, his eyes went towards the Gryfffindor table and its current generation's Potter. Boy was about to see his whole family tree. Direct and extended. He might gain family support after this if that was what he chose.

With a wave of his wand, a bell sound was heard through the Great hall. Sheets of parchment were placed in front of all the students which the more he looked through the room, he guessed most of the school to be here. He was glad he and Miss Granger had made enough of the potion. Together they passed the small vials out. Once done, they stood side by side at a table set up in front of the Head table. Together they showed everyone what to do.

Drop blood into the vial. Swirl it 7 times. Pour it on the parchment. Wait for the results. Easy. It takes a minimum of 10 minutes for the results to begin to appear.

Once the waiting began, the Heads went to their house tables to give out the points to each individual for participating.

Harry was sitting between Ron and Ginny and across from the twins, Lee, and Oliver. They were excited more for the points that they were for the blood test. Well Harry was curious but wasn't expecting much. If there was more to it, he wouldn't be with Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon now would he?

Excitement was starting to spread now as the results began to appear. He smiles at the sight of his full name with his parents. And then...and then...what the fuck?!

He looks up startled by sounds of outrage and upsettness. Ginny was right next to him so he looked at her first. She was crying. Across from him, the twins were looking at their results in shock and disbelief. He looks back down at his own results. It had completed itself.

The Great Hall was empty of the crowds of students except for a select few from each house. While not all of them were, many were quite distressed.

Minerva looked across the tables towards Severus who was under his own crisis. He was sitting across from Harry Potter and Ginevra Weasley. His children. His and Lily Potter nee Evans children. She would say she was shocked James Potter was not Harry's father but deep down she had long ago repressed her questioning of Lily's pregnancy as no one wanted them answered. She had known James Potter could not preduce children after a prank gone wrong before he had started dating Lily. The surprise was that Severus was the biological father and that there was a second child. She had no memory of Lily being pregnant a second time. She suspected Albus was involved as he was the one to place Harry with Lily's sister. The question was...why hide the existence of the other child.

At another section of the table, the Weasley twins and Hermione Granger were huddled together trying to learn their own truth. They were the children of the triad couple Fabian and Gideon Prewitt with their wife Camille Delacour, younger sister of the current Lord Delacour in France. Miss Granger was full of questions on not just triads but what her parents were like. She, herself, did her best to answer what she could.

Three of the Weasley children were not biological Weasleys...Molly and Arthur were in for some questioning. She suspected blood adoptions were involved based off the results she had read this day. For them to appear as Potter's and Weasleys on the parchment...

She watched as other children in other houses who either learned their unknown parentage or just learned their were adopted processed their own information with their Heads. Only one Slytherin had been affected at least. Draco Malfoy had a sister as well he did not know about. She checked on them from her view point. Ravenclaw Lisa Turpin and Slytherin Draco Malfoy were talking at a considerate speed as they shared life stories and what not. Both set of parents were on their way. The Malfoys had no memories of having a child. But there was a blank in their memories that was suspicious. Hopefully the Turpins would have some answers for them.

It's been 2 weeks since the research experiment. Hermione smiles to herself as she sits between her brothers. She had not expected to gain twin brothers at all. She had always wanted siblings but her parents had already been too busy even with her to consider adopting a second time as much as they wanted to. Fred and George, well Emile and Gabriel was their actual names, were coming home with her for Christmas. None of the Weasleys/non-Weasleys were going home. And there was nothing Molly and Arthur could do about it at the moment. As well as apparently the Headmaster. That had been an interesting twist.

The children were staying at Hogwarts. Harry and Ginny were going to be staying in professor Snape's rooms for the holidays. Impressively, Ron was quite supportive if a little sympathetic towards who their father was. Ron and Percy were staying at Hogwarts out of respective for the twins and Ginny. Of being lied to. Bill and Charlie as well had written to their siblings to let them know they will visit them at the school and will also not go home for the holidays. She had heard Ginny wanted to go with Harry for the summer while Snape worked on the Ministry to give his rights as a parent and gain guardianship of his children. She was curious how that will go. She hoped the best for them. And that Harry didn't have to go back to his relatives.

"Galleon for your thoughts, little sister?" Fred/Émile looks down at her in question. She giggles at the little sister part. They have not called her Granger or Hermione since they learned they were siblings. It was quite endearing.

"Just thinking about everything that has happened all because I couldn't just settle for learning my parentage alone." They smirk at her answer. This wasn't the first time they have had this discussion.

"Again, I'm glad you did. Snape says tomorrow the potions will be ready for us all to take that will remove the physical changes given to us after the blood adoptions."

"McGonnagall also says our correct titles and names will be placed upon us by the end of next week. So many adoptions of children from families thought to have died out from the last war has the Ministry working fast to fix this as best they can." George/Gabriel continues.

"As well they should. Nothing wrong with being Prewitts. We will be gaining our heir rings. Something mum..."

"Molly."

"Right, Molly was planning on not telling us about." Émile frowns at that. Hermione frowns for them. She had long ago accepted she had been left in the muggle world to be adopted. But the twins...had been lied to. Molly Weasley easily could have just taken in her nephews (technically and niece but now was not the time for that) and raised them like her own. She could have left their names and appearances. And told them stories about her brothers, their fathers. Her actions, to make it worse, were not to dismiss the deaths of her brothers...but to diss their wife. Molly had not liked the pretty french girl they married. So what better way was to remove her existance from the Prewitt children than to remove her existance from her own children.

"Has anyone figured out how to remove the glamour on you Mione?" Ron asked from across the room where he was playing chess with Harry and Ginny. The duo were discussing their winter break plans. As soon as their own changes were made from the blood adoptions, they were going to request name changes. Harry was keeping Harry but lengthening his name. Harrison Samuel Prince was his choice. Ginny was not going to keep Molly's middle name. She had cried for days at the betrayal. Molly and Arthur had known she was a Potter. Molly had always wanted a daughter and had looked longingly at Lily and her daugher when they met the new baby. She was already a red head like her mother. So when Dumbledore presented her to the Weasley couple, there was no way she was going to refuse the offer. The blood ritual changed her red from Lily's to Weasleys and her green eyes to blue like Arthurs. Plus the fact that Molly filled her head with Harry Potter stories leading her to have a crush on him this whole time... she had locked herself in her dorm room for a full day to come to terms with this new reality.

"Yes, we have to go to Gringotts to get it removed. It's tied to my core and their healers are safer to use. We'll be going the day we leave for the break. Professor McGonnagall is taking us and then dropping us off at my parents after." She answers.

"That's good. Bill and Charlie are coming in on the second day of break to take the blood potion with Percy since he had not taken it the same day as us. I can't wait to see if I'm an only child or not."

"I hope you're right..." They almost didn't hear Percy but he was just loud enough they did though most on the Gryfffindor room had not. They stared at him not so surprised. He was not so different from his siblings if you really thought about it. He was different true. He acted more like Hermione yet more strict. Really more Slytherin. They knew he wanted to know if that was just him or if it was more complicated than that. While he had always loved his family, they had not always made him easy to be loved. Molly had only ever been happy about his grades and that he was planning on joining the Ministry after graduating. They were distant outside of that. None were often interested in what he had to say.

This might be his chance to gain that acceptance he was looking for somewhere else.

It had not taken long for the news of the project and its outcome to reach the Daily Prophet. The results of that had upended Albus Dumbledore's life as it became quickly clear he was involved in one or another with many of the switched placed children. Specialist had been sought to repair blocked memories. Mysteries solved that had been left abandoned years before after failing to figure out of for so long. It was mainly about the Potters as they were the heroes of the first war but he got trouble for some of the other families who tinkered with. Including the Malfoys.

Rumor was Dumbledore might be removed as Headmaster if he crosses any lines in the near future. He had already been removed as Chief Warlock after the 'Potter Fiasco' as they call it. The results of Ginny having surfaced had started the investigation on Harry Potter that the Ministry had been looking for for years. Against Dumbledore's will, he had been forced to unseal the Potter wills that he had sealed in the first place. It was what Snape was using now to gain guardianship rights of his children.

James and Lily Potter had shared the truth of everything in their will. Including something unexpected. Sirius Black was not their secret keeper. Peter Pettigrew was. Which meant the dementors had been taken away from Hogwarts and a trial was set for Black after the holidays. The day they caught him (as a black dog no less) to bring him in to hold until the trial had been just as exciting as he had jumped on Ron before they could reach him and tore out Scabbers from his pocket. He had went with them with the rat in his mouth, not obeying to let it go. Before everyone's eyes Scabbers had turned into a man to get out of the animangus's mouth. Peter Pettigrew. They took him down too and had an awaited trial as well.

"We should go see Luna," Ginny stands up. The group nods, standing up to follow her.

Luna Lovegood was actually Luna Lupin. The Defense Professor had been shocked but also had been able to at least clear some of that mystery. He had dated Pandora back in school. During the war, they had been talking of getting married. However, for reasons he didn't say (to them) they had broken up. Not long after, he had read in the Daily Prophet that she had wed Xenophilius Lovegood.

It was easy enough to connect the dots. Luna had taken it hard to learn her father was not her read dad. He had visited on the weekend after, to talk to her about it.

They found her outside sitting on a short wall looking towards the forest.

"How are you doing Luna?" Ginny hops up next to her. The group spreads out around her, the twins transfiguring some rocks into chairs and Hermione using her bluebell flames to remove the snow around them in the courtyard before settling the blue flame in the middle of them to help keep everyone warm.

"Good. Daddy is rebuilding the house. He wants Professor Lupin to have his own room. He can't legally be part of my guardianship but Daddy doesn't care about that. They will be co-parenting. Apparently it's a muggle term." She explains when a few of the group look at her in confusion.

"Co-parenting is when the parents are neither married to each other nor in a relationship together. They still work together to be parents to their child. Her fathers are going to work together to take care of her." Hermione explains it better to them. They all nod in understanding, happy that Luna's going to have 2 parents once more.

"Yes. It will make it easier on Daddy when he leaves to look for sighted creatures. He doesn't like leaving me at home alone during the summmers but sometimes it is not safe for me to go with him."

"Why can't Professor Lupin legally be your guardian?" Ron couldn't help asking.

"Why, he's a werewolve of course. He was bit as a child by Fenrir Greyback. He doesn't like people to know. Makes it hard on him to find work." Hermione had suspected as much but had not said anything after doing the essay Professor Snape had given them that one time.

"A werewolve?! But doesn't that mean it's not safe to live with him then? How is he here teaching?!" He panicks.

"Oh Ronald! He only turns on the full moon. He goes somewhere else to change into his wolf!" Hermione couldn't help snapping at him. "You didn't really think the shrieking shack was haunted did you? It was built for him when he went to school here."

"Snape...um, my dad says he brews Wolfsbane for him every month." Harry blushes a bit red at the slip, still getting used to it. "As long as he takes it, Professor Lupin keeps his mind and his memories."

"He wouldn't have to if he accepted his wolf..." Luna adds in. They all turn to her expectedy. "His shifting hurts and leaves him scared. He is scared of his wolf. He fights merging with the wolf to be one. If he did...he would not only have a less painful shift, but the potion wouldn't be necessary. He'd be one with his wolf."

"Have you told him that?"

"He's not ready yet but we talk. He might attempt this summer. Right now, he feels safer just taking the wolfsbane. It makes him sleepy. He naps once he is shifted." She shrugs. Her usual dreamy look was not as strong in her eyes at the moment. Everything that's been happening was going to take a minute to fully accept and embrace. The twins took that moment to suggest they all go to the kitchens for some hot chocolate. It worked to bring up everyone's spirits and the elves were excited too to hav children to care for.

Summer was full of potential. Hermione beams up at the sun as they walk to the train. her friends and siblings were full of their own excitement.

The year had been rough for them but they had all made it through. Changes had been tough but they were still standing.

Hermione and the twins had gotten their features they were born with back, much like everyone else who needed it. They were strawberry blond now with saphire blue eyes. The boys had thickened up a little in physique. Hermione's curls were more wavy than curly now, she shot up a few inches and her curves popped out a bit. She was still young so who knows what will happen as she aged.

Harry and Ginny now had matching bright green eyes. Harry was the perfect balance of Severus and Lily while Ginny was nearly exactly Lily's mini me. Severus Snape had won custody of them and together the trio family had gotten some name changes. He had to accept his Lord title in the process that he had avoided for years but anything for his children. Severus Emmerett Prince was the proud father of Harrison Samuel Prince and Natalie Camellia Prince.

Lisa Turpin was back to being Casseiopia Narcissa Malfoy. She was as blonde as her twin brother and happy to have a new family. Sadly, her adoptive family had easily let her go but the way she explains it, better she knew now than later how they felt.

Hermione and the twins were taking Ron and Percy with them to Prewitt Manor where Hermione's adoptive parents, the Grangers, were already moved into. Ron just wasn't ready to go home just yet. Molly had attempted to argue but Arthur stopped her, understanding he needed space. Percy, Bill and Charlie had made due on their promise to take the blood test during the winter holidays. Bill was a Weasley, just not Arthur's and Molly's but instead Arthur's brother's Septimus who had died during the war. He was heir to the Weasley name and had not been blood adopted by Arthur and Molly much as she had wanted to. They had been made his legal guardians til he was of age. They had simply kept out the part of Bill being the next in line because his birth father had been Lord Weasley. Bill has already claimed his title and was back in Egypt. They didn't know when he would come around. He left on partial okay terms with Arthur but Molly.. may have said some things that didn't settle well for the new Lord Weasley.

Charlie was the son of 2 american purebloods that had died in an accident in muggle London. He had been found by the Ministry after doing accidental magic in the foster home he had been placed in. They had not bothered to learn about the case the muggle were working on to get him back to his family and obliviated the foster family and case worker before asking Dumbledore to help find him a family. Since learning this, he has been in contact with his american relatives and has plans to meet them in person come August. Arthur again, had been the bridge to keep in communication. He wasn't angry at them, just wished they were honest. At least they should have told him when he came of age. He's back in Romania for now.

Percy...was relieved. He was also not a Weasley. His parents had been 2 teens at Hogwarts who had not been careful. Bright and brilliant students, they had not wanted to the truth to be out so had been careful to cover the pregnancy until birth when they had put him up for adoption. He has since also written them. As they were on the mainland, living 2 separate lives, they were working on a time to meet. His father has made comments in his letters that has them believing he may take over guardianship of his son. His mother was married and has children with her husband. She wants to meet him but that might be all that happens. Percy didn't mind. He was just happy to know the truth and now he doesn't feel so alone. The potion to remove the blood adoption features had left him with his same eyes but he was no longer a red head. It was somewhere between dirty blonde and chestnut brown. It looked really nice on him. His jaw line had adjusted a bit and he had no more freckles. Hermione couldn't help crushing on him a bit. She wasn't the only one either.

They had not talked much to the other children affected by the experiment. Different houses and ages mixed with school and not being in the same classes had made it hard to. But all look better now as summer begins. Some families had been repaired...some had been broken...some had stayed the same yet obviously had some differences. All were still at least glad to know the truth instead of the lies.

"Be ready in August guys! Sirius got tickets for everyone for the Quidditch World Cup! We'll be having our own box!!" Harry yells out as they get inside the train.

Hermione was glad to see him so happy. For his sake, Severus and Sirius had decided to work on putting the past behind them. Sirius had apologized for some incident when they were teens and for all the bullying. Harry, Nat, and their father were moving into Prince Manor which was ironically enough...in the same general area as Blackmoore manor, the main home of the Black family. Sirius had claimed his Lord ring upon release of St Mungos, something he had to do after his trial to get better from all his years in Azkaban.

"Whoo!!!" the twins cheer in agreement. They collected a train car for them and all their friends to hand around together instead of grabbing a compartment or two. The Prince elves appeared with multiple trays of food and butterbeer before disappearing back to the Manor.

Hermione picked a seat across from her best friends, pulling out a book on the Delacour family. They would be meeting them at the World Cup. While she has been to France and could speak french, her knowledge of the magical side was bare minimal.

She listened as the boys talked about Quidditch and the new classes they were taking next year. The family situation has seemed to bring something new and motivating to them. They were getting out of Divination. Going to Ancient Runes with her. They had tested out some example she gave them in the common room when they made this decision and learned they weren't half bad at it. She couldn't wait to see them actually do their work.

"How long are you allowed to be away from home?" Nat asked Ron.

"Just til the World Cup. Dad will be there. I'll be going back home with him after. Mum wants to do my school shopping when I get home. Dad says shes been pretty down. Especially after the Easter break when everyone had emptied their rooms." They nodded at that somberly. It had been a hard day when they did that. Arthur had had to be the one to hand over important documents and photos to all his children that rightfully belonged to them. Molly had cried in her room after the children made it clear they wouldn't look at her. "Dad's hoping everyone will eventually come around to forgiving them. He had had just wanted to make her happy when they agreed to all the children offered to them. A big family was her dream. A hard thing to do when the pure bloods only tend to have one or 2 children every generation." he shrugs. None were ready for forgiveness just yet. Not even him. Though it wasn't as tough to think about now. They were more upset on her commentary than that they didn't tell their children they were adopted. They knew she could be judgy but...bloody hell.

"Is the house finished?" Hermione asked. After they all left with their belongings, It had been agreed by Arthur, and Dumbledore (as his way to seem like he's changed his ways though he still lost his place as Headmaster later for other reasons), they took down the Burrow and rebuilt it. It was now a 4 bed, 2 1/2 bath home. It was not a tower of rooms anymore. But a 3 and a half story home. The second floor was Molly's and Arthurs, 2 bedrooms and the 2nd bathroom (the other was in the Master bedroom ) were on the 3rd floor. And the half floor above was all Ron's. A large attic bedroom with a half bath of his own.

"He said it is. Mum had thrown the biggest fit but he did it to keep her from slipping into everyone's rooms to cry and be depressed. It seems to help her to decorate the 'guest' rooms. They'll be ready for anyone to go visit. Dad had a porch built with the extra material left over. Got her a rocking chair. It faces her garden. She sits out there a lot."

They knew it was going to be weird for a while to have a quieter house. Especially for Ron. But the group promised to stay close to each other no matter what. Ron could visit them anytime and (once ready to go to the Burrow again) would go see him.

By the time the train pulled up to Platform 9 3/4, the train cart was half full of sleeping teenagers and the rest between playing chess and exploding snaps. Hermione was wedged between her brothers sound asleep, her book open in her lap. Ginny was between Gabriel and Harry, talking to Luna and Percy who sat across from them. They watched out the window as the train slowed, putting their window in view of some of the adults waiting for them to disembark. They couldn't help chuckling at the sight of a red wearing Sirius waving a flag next to a much annoyed Severus.

"To new beginnings?" Luna smiles at them, her eyes shining.

"To new beginnings!!"
