The next day, Raven had taken Draculaura to the local mall to do some shopping.
"I thought humans and monsters didn't get along but I've seen a lot a humans shopping at the monster stores," said Draculaura while they left a monster coffee shop. They were carrying at least three bags in one hand while holding their drink in the other.
"There's still some problems, but things are getting better," said Raven.
"Ugh, it's a tradisty if you ask me," said a woman standing nearby.
"And do your parents know you're out with this… thing, young lady?" she asked while looking at Raven with a disgusted expression.
"I don't see where that's any of your business," said Draculaura.
"Raven is a friend, unlike some snobbish old goat who thinks it's alright to stick her nose into other people's business," she said.
"Why I never," said the woman before storming off.
"Sure you have, it's why your husband left and your kids don't talk to you anymore," called Draculaura after the woman, making her face go a bright shade of red as she continued to leave.
"Thanks Draculaura, and that was a sick burn you gave her," said Raven.
"Oh, it was all true, it doesn't take much magic to figure things out about someone else," said Draculaura as she turned to look at the vampire and revealed that her eyes were glowing.
"That was awesome," said Chad as he and Clair walked over to the two before Raven could respond to the witch.
"Hey guys, I didn't see you over there," said Raven.
"We were about to step in when your new friend here owned that woman," said Clair.
"I sometimes have a wicked side to me," said Draculaura.
"Especially when it comes to my friends being mistreated," she said.
"And there's nothing wrong with that," said Raven.
"So, is she a new student at Monster High?" asked Chad.
"Not really, it's a long story," said Raven who had no clue where to begin with telling them the story.
"How about you tell us while we get something to eat?" asked Clair while pointing at the food court.
"I think that works," said Draculaura after sharing a look with her vampire friend.
