Chapter 24: A Tale Of The Past! How Izuku And Katsuki Met Their Former Teacher!

In Musutafu, Izuku and Katsuki were watching Michael's fights alongside their classmates. A few of their teachers were watching as well.

Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead) - "Surprised that Michael can still fight as well as he could back then."

Toshinori Yagi (All Might)- "Agreed. Young Michael is still as strong as ever."

Principal Nezu - "And he still has that super high IQ of his as well."

Suddenly the elevator doors opened up to reveal Shoto's father, Enji Todoroki, aka the current #1 hero in Japan Endeavor, along with his wife Rei and their other kids Fuyumi and Natsu.

Shoto - "Dad? What are you, mom, Fuyumi and Natsu doing here?"

Rei - "Your dad wanted to come over and help support Michael in any way possible."

Toshinori (All Might) - "Is that true Enji?"

Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) - "Yes, it is Toshinori. I owe Michael a lot for helping me become more of a family man, as well as learning to balance being a hero as well as a husband and father."

Mina – "By the way Izuku. How much do you see Michael and Soul becoming a couple? Cause I think the two of them look massively cute together."

Izuku - "The possibility is there to find Mina."

Ochaco - "It is?"

Katsuki - "Pretty much. When Izuku and I were with the party for that small stretch of time, we both saw how worried Soul was for Michael's safety and health after Rensho nearly killed him during Akzeriuth's destruction. Then she got super happy at seeing him up and walking again afterwards."

Izuku - "Don't forget how upset she looked when Michael was seemingly killed by Hassan crushing his heart during the fight at the manor. Then she was super relieved when he got back up from that."

Katsuki - "Hell, you and I were both just as shocked about it."

Izuku - "True."

Eijiro - "Speaking of Michael. Think you two could tell us how you both met him and became his students?"

The 2/3rds of Michael's former pupils shared a quick glance with each other, then nodded in agreement.

Izuku/Katsuki - "Sure."

The rest of 1-A, and all of 1-B, cheered at hearing that.

Izuku - "I'll go first since I became Michael's student before Kacchan did."

Denki - "What made you take longer to be Michael's student Katsuki?"

Katsuki - "Let's just say that I was a stupid idiot back then."

Everyone - "Ok then."

-Musutafu, Japan, 12 years earlier-

Izuku - "I was four at the time, and I had just found out that I was quirkless too. One day on my way home from school, I came across Kacchan and a few of his 'friends' attacking another quirkless kid like me. I had jumped in front to protect the other kid."

Izuku (Age 4) - "That's enough Kacchan! Leave him alone!"

Katsuki (Age 5) - "You wanna pretend to be a hero? Guess you really can't do that without a quirk Deku."

Young Izuku flinched in fear as young Katsuki walked towards him.

Izuku - "When suddenly, he appeared."

Suddenly an energy blast went off in front of young Katsuki.

Katsuki (Age 5) - "What the-"

? - "3 kids with quirks bullying on 2 quirkless ones huh? Good grief. Talk about pathetic."

All 5 kids turned towards the source of the new voice. There was a black-haired boy sitting on top of the jungle gym, watching the scene before him playing out before finally deciding to speak up. The boy then jumped down.

Katsuki (Age 5) - "And just who are you supposed to be!?"

The boy ignored Katsuki and his lackeys, silently walking over to Izuku and the boy he was protecting.

? - "You 2 ok?"

Izuku shook his head.

Izuku (Age 4) - "We are now thanks to you big guy. Um, what's your name by the way?"

The mysterious boy sheepishly scratched the back of his head.

? - "Oh right! Sorry about that. Name's Michael. Michael Masi. And the reason that name doesn't sound familiar is because I'm from across the Pacific Ocean in America."

Izuku (Age 4) - "But how do you know Japanese so well?"

Michael (Age 6) - "I've always been a quick learner."

Katsuki (Age 5) - "DON'T IGNORE ME, YOU EXTRA!"

Katsuki suddenly attacked Michael using his explosion quirk. Michael then slowly stood while continuing to smile at Izuku and the other boy.

Michael (Age 6) - "Give me a sec."

Then before Katsuki could even blink, Michael spun on the spot and threw a punch, which nailed Katsuki square in the face."

Michael (Age 6) - "Shut Up! You're That Damn Annoying!"

Katsuki then crashed into a pair of garbage cans, clearly knocked out. His lackeys then picked him up and ran away.

Michael (Age 6) - "Cowards."

Michael then returned his attention to Izuku and the other boy.

Michael (Age 6) - "You both ok?"

Both boys shook their heads.

Michael (Age 6) - Good. Now let's get you both home then."

-Flashback Ends-

Izuku - "After that Michael and I became very good friends. He always helped me with something whenever I needed it."

Tenya - "So when did you become Michael's student?"

Izuku - "A week after I met him. He noticed that I needed a way to defend myself if necessary. He pretty much put me through the same training that Niko's grandfather Chrome did for him."

Eijiro - "And you Katsuki?"

The rest of 1-A and all of 1-B were angry at Katsuki for how he treated Izuku in the past, but they figured that Michael was the main reason for his change in attitude.

-Musutafu 12 years ago, 1 month after Michael starts teaching Izuku-

Katsuki - "I didn't find out about Izuku learning from Michael till a month after I was knocked out. One day after school was let out, I saw the 2 of them meet up and head towards a near-by park. I figured that's where Michael was training Izuku. When I arrived at the park, I saw that Izuku was all alone."

Katsuki rushed at Izuku before the other boy even knew what was going on.

Katsuki (Age 5) - "Die You Damn Deku!"

Izuku (Age 4) - "What the-?"

Then out of nowhere, Michael suddenly appeared and tackled Katsuki to the ground, pinning his arms behind his back.

Katsuki (Age 5) - "What the hell man?!"

Michael (Age 6) - "SHUT UP!"

Katsuki froze at Michael's tone of voice.

Michael (Age 6) - "Just What Gives You The Right To Try Attacking My Student?!"

Katsuki (Age 5) - "Cause he's a quirkless loser!"

Michael just stared at Katsuki like he grew a second head.

Michael (Age 6) - "That's it! All this hate focused on Izuku is just due to him not having a quirk!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?"

Katsuki went to retort, but Michael quickly cut him off.

Michael (Age 6) - "No! You are gonna stay right where you are, shut up, and listen! Now listen to me and listen good boy! Age doesn't matter! Gender doesn't matter! Race doesn't matter! Quirk or not doesn't matter! Anyone can become a hero!"

Katsuki's eyes went wide at hearing that.

Michael (Age 6) - "And sure you have a super strong quirk. But that alone doesn't make you a true hero."

Michael stood up and walked back over towards Izuku.

Michael (Age 6) - "I want the both of you to remember this quote. 'It's not the quirk that makes a hero or villain, but the one using it'."

Katsuki then slowly stood up and left the park.

-Flashback Ends-

Katsuki stood where he was in silence, no one saying anything.

Momo - "So what did you do?"

Katsuki - "At first nothing, just because I was still trying to understand what Michael said to me. After a week passed, I finally came to a decision."

Eijiro - "And your decision was?"

Katsuki - "I decided to accept what Michael said. So, in front of Michael, I wholeheartedly apologized to Izuku and told Michael that I wanted to be his student. And the 2 of us were his students for 5 years till he had nothing more to teach us."

Izuku then snickered.

Izuku - "Remember the one time you decided that we should skip on training for a day, just to see how he'd react?"

Katsuki - "Don't remind me..."

Mina - "How bad can skipping a day of training with Michael be?"

Izuku - "Being honest Mina. Michael took training us very seriously. We were thankful that he found a way to balance training with our school work. But he was never one for us slacking off."

Toru - "But what if you were sick or injured?"

Katsuki - "He was much more forgiving for that. If we slacked off, then whatever we normally did during our daily training, Michael forced us to do 10 times that much as punishment for slacking off. But if either of us were sick or injured, then he would count the number of days we missed training, and after we were back to full health, slowly have us do double training till we got caught back to our normal pace. A few times he even let us pace ourselves to test our own limits."

Shoto - "Wow. Sounds like Michael was a hell of a teacher."

Izuku/Katsuki - "He was the best."

Suddenly a small sphere of light appeared in the middle of the common room.

Fuyumi - "What's that ball of light?"

Tsuyu - "Strange. It wasn't there before. Ribbit."

Then the light sphere got brighter and blinded everyone in the common room. It then disappeared as quickly as it showed up. Ochaco was the first to regain her eyesight from the near blindness of the light sphere. She then noticed that 2 certain people were missing.

Ochaco - "Uh guys. Where did Izuku and Katsuki go?"

Everyone else then noticed the student pair were missing as well.

Shouta (Eraserhead) - "Just great..."
