Episode 298: A Deadly Alliance: Fire
We open up to when Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined Amy, and the Pokémon has returned to the real world after defeating the Dark Masters and the Demon Lords and saving both worlds from total chaos and darkness.
"Man, that was quite an experience," Ethan said.
"It sure was. It was like being in a video game," Max said.
"Yeah, except it was real," Brendan said.
"Well, it was quite a thrill ride," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
Everyone stepped out of the Pokémon Center and they prepared to take off for their next destination. The group made their way for the ferry to get to Mossdeep City. The DigiDestined were going on a separate boat.
"It was awesome to hang out with you again, but you sure you can't stick around?" Sora asked.
"We're sure, Ketchum. We're going to explore the islands around here and have a look around," Tai said.
"But we'll meet up with you later," Takato said.
"You too, guys," Brendan said.
With that said, they said their goodbyes to their friends and boarded the boat to get to Mossdeep City, but it turned out that it wasn't going directly to Mossdeep City, but over to the next island instead. But it was okay since it gave Sora some time to train for his next Gym battle. When they arrived to the first island on the way, the group departed from the boat and they get approached by a couple of young women.
"Excuse us, but wouldn't you lot be interested in some deep-sea diving?" One of the young women asked.
"We're looking for some volunteers who are interested," the other young woman said.
"When you say, Deep-sea diving, you mean to see Pokémon that live in the ocean and stuff?" Lyra asked.
"That's the one," the second young woman said.
"You know, it could be loads of fun, so why not? We should go for it," Max said.
"If it's an excuse to see some deep-sea Pokémon, then I'll take it," Sora said.
"Radical!" The first young woman said.
"We'll meet you over at the dock," the second young woman said.
With that said, the group have made it over to the dock with some other volunteers, wearing frogman wetsuits. The instructor came to the scene. She is another young woman with long red hair.
"Well, it looks like we got us some new faces here. To all you new faces, my name is Lola, and welcome to Lola's Pokémon exploration. As you know, we can find Pokémon just about anywhere. We see them in the sky, we see them on the land, and we even see them in the sea. It is my belief that there are Pokémon in the ocean that hasn't been discovered yet, so you're asking yourselves, 'Am I going to get lucky and see a new species of Pokémon in the ocean?' Well, we'll find the anser to that when we go under and see the world below," Lola said. Everyone all talked among themselves at Lola's enthusiasm. Everyone got on a boat and made it to a spot to dive in. "This is a good spot. Okay, everyone, remember what we're here to see and you'll be fine. And let's try not to get lost, shall we?" Everyone put on their oxygen tanks and dove down in the ocean below. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill dove underwater and explored the world below the water. They were amazed by the Pokémon that were swimming by. There was a school of Magikarp swimming by as well as a school of Goldeen and Seaking. Swimming by is a small group of Relicanth and a new Pokémon they haven't seen before.
It is a fishlike Pokémon with a relatively flat body in the shape of a heart. It is primarily light pink, with pale lips and circular markings on its cheeks. Its body is covered in heart-shaped scales. Fascinated, Kairi took out her Rotom Phone encased in a protective structure and scanned it.
Luvdisc, the Rendezvous Pokémon
Type: Water
Luvdisc's heart-shaped body is a symbol of love and romance. It is said that any couple meeting this Pokémon is promised a loving relationship that never ends.
"A loving relationship that never ends," Kairi said in her thoughts.
The group continued to swim through the ocean as a Sharpedo darts by Kris and Lyra as a Staryu swam past them.
Meanwhile, Zell and the Elemental Bosses are getting their next plan of attack into affect.
"Fue, you up for a chance?" Ozean asked.
"Oh, I'm more than ready, Ozean. I'm going to finish what that stupid rock-head Rokku couldn't," Fue said.
"Hey, I'm right here, you know!" Rokku said.
"Remember, we can't afford another slip up," Ozean said.
"Sora Ketchum, you're mine," Zell said in his thoughts.
Back with the group, they emerged from up from the water and back on the boat along with the other divers.
"Sorry that they didn't get to see some new Pokémon, but at least we had some fun, right?" Lola asked.
With that said, they returned to the island and they decided to take some time to train. Sora and Kairi did some fishing and then Kairi has reeled up a Luvdisc.
"I 'm gonna catch myself a Luvdic!" Kairi said, turning to Angel. "Okay, Angel, go for it!" Angel nodded and stepped in. Luvdisc fired a Water Gun right at the female Eevee. "Dodge with Quick Attack!" Angel dashed right at Luvdisc and lands a hit. Luvdisc attacked with a Water Pulse and lands a hit onto Angel. "Use Swift!" Angel fired a Swift at the Rendevous Pokémon, landing a hit. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and lands a hit onto Luvdisc. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Luvdisc flowed inside and flowed inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm it. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Luvdisc with her or send it to Professor Oak's lab. She chose to send Luvdisc over to Professor Oak's lab. "And I got my on Luvdisc."
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
"Good work, Kairi!" Sora praised his girlfriend. He suddenly felt a tug on his fishing pole. "Whoa! I got something!" Sora started to reel it in. It felt heavier than he originally thought and he knew it as a big one by ho heavy it felt. "Kairi, it feels like a big one! Gimmie a hand!" Kairi helps Sora pull it in and it shows that it's a Relicanth. "Hey, a Relicanth!" Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go for it, Grovyle!" His Pokéball opened and Grovyle came out and placed his twig in his mouth. "Grovyle! Use Leaf Blade!" Grovyle rushes at Relicanth with a Leaf Blade, but the Longevity Pokémon with a Leaf Blade, ready to strike. Relicanth rushes at Grovyle with a full force of its body and collides against Grovyle's Leaf Blade.
"He just just Head Smash, but shouldn't he have taken damage? Unless Relicanth has Rock Head," Kairi said.
"Grovyle! Use Bullet Seed!" Grovyle fired a Bullet Seed right at Relicanth, landing some hits on him. "Use Dragon Claw!" Grovyle slashed at Relicanth with a Dragon Claw, dealing some damage. "Leaf Blade again!" Grovyle slashed at Relicanth with Leaf Blade and he makes a splash in the water. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Relicanth flowed inside it and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Relicanth with him. He chose to send Relicanth over to Professor Oak's lab. "And I got myself a Relicanth."
"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"That was a onderful catch, Sora," Kairi said proudly.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said. He and Kairi moved in and gave at each other a kiss on the lips. As soon as they parted lips, the couple started to make their way back to their friends.
Little do they know, Zell and Fue were spying on the couple, having to find them again.
"There they are. They're alone, and they're vulnerable," Fue said.
"Works for me," Zell said, summoning his Keyblade. Fue took out her to daggers and summoned a wall of fire around Sora and Kairi. Pikachu and Angel are out of the flame wall and shocked to see it.
"What's going on?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Come on, you know better than that, Ketchum," a familiar voice said. The voice was actually Zell, holding his Keyblade and Fue, holding her daggers.
"Zell!" Sora exclaimed.
"Fue!" Kairi also exclaimed.
"I was hoping that I would see you again. You and I have a score to settle," Fue said.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel also said.
"Pikachu, Angel, go back to the others and bring them here!" Sora said.
Pikachu and Angel complied with Sora and they went off to find the others and bring them over. Sora and Kairi summoned their Keyblades, ready to engage their opponents.
"There's no running away this time," Zell said as he rushes over towards Sora, but he blocked. Fue rushes at Kairi and attempts to slash at her, but she managed to dodge from left to right.
Back with Pikachu and Angel, they made it back to the others. Riku could tell something was wrong, because he didn't see Sora or Kairi with them.
"Pikachu, Angel, it's about time you got here. Where are Sora and Kairi?" Riku asked.
"Pika! Pika, Pika, PIka, PIka!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee, Eevee, Eevee!" Angel said.
"Something is definitely wrong here," Riku said.
"You think they could be fighting Heartless?" Lisia asked.
"Seems like it to me, Lisia," Riku said.
"If they are, then we gotta help them," Lyra said.
"You're right, Lyra," Riku agreed. "Lisia, Max, you two stay here, because we don't wanna put you in harm's way."
"Don't worry, we'll stay behind," Lisia said.
"After what we saw in the Digital World, I'm not taking any chances," Max said.
"We ask that you be careful," Lisia said.
"We will," Riku assured Lisia and Max. He turned to Pikachu and Angel. "Okay, guys, you lead the way." Pikachu and Angel nodded and they ran ahead, so Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill followed them.
Back to the fight between the couple and their opponents, Sora and Zell kept on clashing their Keyblades at one another as Kairi casts a blizzard spell at Fue, but she dodges it and threw her daggers. Kairi casts a reflect spell, blocking the daggers just so they don't stab her. Fue calls her daggers back and she swings them again, but emitting flames this time.
Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, and the Pokémon rushed to the scene and they see the fight taking place.
"What the heck?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Look! It's Zell!" Brendan gasped.
"Yeah, and look who's with him!" May said.
"Who's she?" Kris asked.
"She's one of those Elemental Bosses we told you about! Her name's Fue, and her element's fire," May explained.
Zell swings his Keyblade at Sora, making him duck his head and then he casts a thunder spell, hitting Zell on the mark. "You'll have to do better than a childish magic trick to beat me!"
"Okay, how about this?" Sora asked, throwing his Keyblade while it's emitting ice. Zell managed to dodge, but Sora kept on throwing it again and again, until it landed a hit on him. Sora then rushed at him with his Keyblade in front, landing some hits. "How did you like that?"
"Not bad, but not good enough," Zell said as he lands a punch on him.
Fue unleashed a burst of flames at Kairi, but she managed to cast a reflect spell, making it bounce off. Kairi then casts a crystal spell, hitting her. Kairi then came at Fue to strike her, but Fue blocked with her daggers. Kairi and Fue kept up the pace, but Fue managed to push Kairi back.
"I'll admit, girl, you're a lot better than I remember, but don't let it go to your head, because I plan on burning you alive," Fue said.
"Not unless I put your fire out first! Water!" Kairi shouted, casting a water spell, hitting her.
"It's going to take more than just water to put out my fire!" Fue shouted as flames surrounds her and she unleashed a stream of flames at Kairi, but she jumped out of the way in a cartwheel. Fue rushed at her and gave her a kick in the stomach. Zell pushes Sora back, making him land on his back.
"Sora, are you okay?" Kairi asked ith concern.
"Yeah. You?" Sora asked.
"I took worst hits than what she could dish out," Kairi said.
"Well, it's about to get even worst for you," Fue said.
"Time to die!" Zell said, raising his Keyblade up in the air and build up some dark energy. He sent it right at Sora and Kairi, hoping it'll finish them off, but Wes, wearing his hood came rushing to the aid of the couple and used his two Keyblades to block while Rui came to the couple and casts a cure spell to heal them both of their injuries.
"Glad we came just in time," Rui said.
"You again," Sora said.
"Why are you helping us?" Kairi asked.
"There's no time to talk now. Right now, we'll have to deal with these two," Wes said, holding the Colosseum of Light ahead of him.
"Who are those to jokers?" Fue asked.
"I don't know, but they're going to pay for butting in like this!" Zell exclaimed, running towards them, lifting his Keyblade up. Wes blocked with both of his Keyblades and pushed back with all of his strength. Zell growled in anger and frustration, glaring hatefully at the hooded figure. "If you're friends with Sora Ketchum, then get ready to die by my hands!" Zell gave out a loud scream as he rushes at him. Wes swings his two Keyblades and clashed against his.
"Tell me. Why do you want to get rid of him so badly?" Wes asked.
"Because he ruined my life! He crushed the dream I had to join the greatest criminal organization in all of Kanto! I would have been feared by all Trainers, and then Sora Ketchum came along and ruined everything! He took my dream away from me!" Zell said.
"You wanted people to be scared of you?" Sora asked.
"I did, because I was picked on relentlessly when I was a little kid! I was their own personal punching bag! Everyday in my youth was exactly the same! My bullies made me feel small! They belittled me and made fun of everything I liked! It was enough to drive me into revenge! I would steal the Pokémon from the ones who bullied me when I was a little kid and make them suffer like I did! My revenge was all planned out until you came along and destroyed them! And that's when I realized that you're no different than everyone else! And now I'm going to destroy you! Here and now!" Zell roared as he unleashed a blast of darkness at Sora, but Kairi casts a reflect spell to protect her boyfriend.
"Is that what this was all about? You wanted to get some payback from the kids who bullied you your hole life? You should have realized that revenge is not the way to get what you want. It won't make anything better, it'll make it worse, and then, you'll be no different than the kids who picked on you, Zell," Kairi said.
"She's right. I'm sorry about all that when you were a little kid, but if you go down that path, then you're the bully," Sora said.
"I don't want your pity or your lecture! I want you to disappear!" Zell yelled as he unleashed a black ember at the couple, but Rui uses the Star Seeker to save them. Sora and Kairi were ready to engage Zell and Fue again when they suddenly get new Keyblades.
Sora's new Keyblade Keyblade is blue and white. Latios' head is the teeth of the Keyblade and the guard is made up of Latios' arms. The token is a miniature Latios. This Keyblade shall be known as Latios Luster.
Kairi's new Keyblade is similar to Sora's new Keyblade, but it's red and white. Latias' head is the teeth of the Keyblade and the guard is made up of Latias' arms. The token is a miniature Latias. This Keyblade shall be known as Latias Love.
"Look at that!" Ethan said.
"New Keyblades," Leaf said.
"Awesome," May said.
"So you got new Keyblades. It doesn't matter, because you're all gonna die!" Fue said, rushing at Sora, Kairi, Wes, and Rui, but the four Keyblade wielders engaged their opponents. Fue attempts to stab Sora, but he dodged as Rui casts a blizzard spell as Wes jumped and swung his two Keyblades at Zell, but he blocked, leaving himself open for Sora's next attack, so he casts a spark spell, hitting him. Zell yelled in pain as Sora and Wes came at Zell and gave him a slash with their Keyblades, sending him flying. Kairi and Rui do the same, casting a double blizard combo, hitting her. Fue has fallen backwards. Both Zell and Fue were beaten.
"This wasn't supposed to turn out like this," Fue said, gritting her teeth.
"You won today, Ketchum, but there's next time," Zell said as he and Fue sank into a vortex beneath them. The flames subsided as Wes and Rui took their leave before Sora or Kairi could talk to them, but their friends came to their aid.
"You guys okay?" Ash asked.
"You gave us quite a scare," Kris said.
"Sorry. Things like this tends to happen," Sora said.
"Yeah, you're right," Brendan agreed.
The Keyblade wielders returned to Max and Lisia who were anxiously waiting for them to come back safely.
"Sora, Kairi! You're alright!" Max said.
"Thank goodness," Lisia said.
"What happened?" Max asked.
"It was Zell and that fire girl from the Elemental Bosses," Sora said.
"Zell and the Elemental Bosses?" Lisia asked, concerned.
"Yeah, and those hoodies came along and lend Sora and Kairi a hand, and they gained ne Keyblades of their own," Kris said.
"Seriously?" Max asked.
"Yeah. It was awesome. And like usual, they disappeared just as they appeared," Ash said.
"Well, they're not from Organization XIII, and they had Keyblades like us, so any idea who they are?" May asked.
"If we did, then we wouldn't be wondering why they're helping us out like this," Ash said.
"Ash is right. There's something going on," Sora said.
Meanwhile, Zell and Fue have come back, injured, so the other three new that they weren't successful.
"So you blew it just as badly as I did, huh?" Rokku gloated as he laughed.
"If you laugh at me again, I'm gonna gut you with my daggers!" Fue threatened.
"Save your energy, Fue. You both had a hard day, and you're going to need your rest," Ozean said.
"And it's going to be my turn next," Luft said, holding his mace.
"Hey, who says that you're going to be next?" Rokku asked.
"Because you and Fue had your chance, and I'll be able to finish what you couldn't!" Luft said.
"You hold it right there! Nobody said that you get a turn!" Fue argued.
"Well, nobody said I couldn't get one, so I'll arm wrestle you for it," Luft said.
"Knock it off. Luft is right. Luft will have his chance, too. And that is going to come as soon as Zell is at a hundred percent," Ozean said.
"Yeah, yeah," Zell scoffed.
"You sure we can trust this guy?" Rokku asked.
"It's my call, Rokku. And it goes," Ozean said.
"I hope it doesn't take too long for Zell to recover, because waiting wasn't my thing," Luft said.
Later that night, the group were getting settled into bed after having an enjoyable meal of spicy rice curry, and some biscuits to go with it. As they slept, Kairi had another dream about Xion and this time, she was with Seth.
"Hi, Kairi," Xion said. She makes Seth wave his little arm and she spoke in a little voice, pretending that Seth was talking, too. "Hello." Kairi giggled, seeing how cute it was.
"Hi, Seth. And you too, Xion," Kairi said. Seeing Seth with Xion just made Kairi smile, because it was like Kairi has a sister, so she walked up to them both.
In the real world, Sora, Kairi, and their friends slept soundly, undisturbed, and this is where we'll leave them for right now.
