The two arrived at Laxus's house. Mira was not happy about the way Laxus was treating her, something was off. Yes, Laxus is normally rude but not like this and definitely not towards Mira. "Laxus, please let go, I'm not going to leave," she says, as they enter the house. After hesitating for a few moments, Laxus finally let go, "make yourself at home." Mira went and sat down on the couch, frowning. She didn't like the way he was acting, she could always transform and get herself out of here but she didn't want to do that if he wasn't going to hurt her. Yes, he has a bad past but that's all that is, the past, it doesn't matter anymore.
"What're you making?" Mira asks, trying to make conversation.
After locking the door, Laxus turns to her, "I was thinking we could eat steak and potatoes," Laxus says, "something simple so we have more time to spend with each other."
"Sounds good," Mira nods, eyeing the door. "Laxus…Are you ok?"
Laxus turns to her, "I'm better than ok now that you're here."
"You're just acting weird."
"I don't think I am," he says, walking over to sit beside her once he got everything on the stove.
He pulled Mira onto his lap and leaned against a throw pillow, "W-what are you doing?" Mira squeaks, blushing slightly.
"Spending time with my favorite person, obviously." He scoffs like it should have been obvious.
"Why am I in your lap though?" She asks, smiling at the comment about her being his favorite person.
"I want you in my lap now, get over it," Laxus huffs, wrapping his arms around her tightly. Mira decided to just melt into his warmth. A few minutes later, Laxus moved Mira off him so he could go check on the food. Only a few minutes later was it that the food was done, he plated it up and brought it over to the couch. "Here."
"Thanks," Mira says, taking it from him. The two of them ate in silence, not really sure what to say to each other. Laxus really just wants to cuddle with her. They both finished eating pretty fast since they were both hungry and Laxus immediately pulled her back into his lap, smiling. Laxus honestly didn't know why he was being so clingy but at this point, he didn't care, all he knew was that had to be with her. He didn't know if he'd even survive without her, obviously he's being dramatic…right?
The human part of Laxus told him what he was doing wasn't natural but unfortunately the dragon part of him was more powerful and honestly didn't care in the slightest what the human part thought. He held onto Mira tightly, not tight enough to hurt her but tight enough that she couldn't get away, well unless she used her magic but he didn't expect her to use her magic on him.
"Laxus," Mira says, looking up at him, "this is weird, you've never shown any interest in me and now we're cuddling."
Laxus didn't answer, he wasn't sure how to answer, the dragon part of him told him to lie to her, she didn't need to know the truth, the human part doesn't even know the truth. "Can you stop questioning me?" Laxus responds.
"I'm just going to go," Mira mumbels, attempting to stand up only to be pulled back down roughly by Laxus.
"You're staying."
"Let me go!"
"No!"
Mira glares, "Laxus, let me go, now!"
"Mira…you aren't leaving, I need you here! I'm not going to let you leave!"
"I really didn't want to do this…" Mira sighs, before using her Satan Soul takeover, "Explosion punch." She says, making sure to dial it down a few notches. Her only goal was to knock him out, not hurt him. Even if he is acting weird, she still cares for him.
Unfortunately for her, Laxus is quick to counter attack, "lighting dragon iron fist!" he shouts, canceling out Mira's attack. Mira used this distraction and ran to the door, unlocking it as quickly as she could and running out the door, using her Satan Soul to enhance her speed. Laxus didn't let this faze him though as he ran out after her, the dragon side of him getting angry.
"Mira!" Laxus bellows, catching up to her, "come back to my place!"
"Laxus," Mira says, looking behind her. "I don't know what's gotten into you but I want to go home, please!"
"You can come to my place, let's go." He says, grabbing her wrist tightly. Laxus made eye contact with her, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, "please?"
Mira, who could have easily fought back, felt defeated. "Can you at least not hold my wrist so tightly?" She asks, softly.
Laxus looks down, "sorry Mira," he says, releasing his grip on her wrist.
Mira looks at him, "Laxus…I don't know what's going on with you but we'll talk about it in the morning. Do you think I can go home now?" She asks, hoping she can get through to him.
Something inside Laxus switched, he growled and grabbed her wrist tightly again, pulling her back to his place, not caring who saw. Everyone knew who he was, no one messed with him…unless they were idiots. Mira tried to get away each time but ultimately failed since his grip was so tight. They arrived back at his place and Laxus dragged her inside, locking the door behind them. "Let's go to bed," he says, finally letting go of her wrist.
"Sure, I'll just sleep on the couch," she says, very confused as to why he wanted her there if they were just going to sleep.
"No, you're sleeping with me tonight," He says, once again grabbing her wrist and pulling her towards his bedroom. Mira sighed, figuring she had no choice and laid down on his bed, getting as close to the wall as she could. Laxus, who was happy he finally won, wrapped his arms around her, making sure not to squeeze her too tight as he closed his eyes. Mira sighed as she stared at the wall, slowly melting into his warmth. She knew this was probably a bad idea but she did want to be with him, she really liked him and wanted more in the future but she didn't want it to always be like…this…
