Wendy and Romeo sat down on top of a hill in the park. "I'm starving," Wendy says, unpacking the picnic.
"Me too," Romeo agrees, sitting down beside her. Wendy places down a sandwich in front of Romeo before grabbing one for herself as well. "So why did you want to come up here out of the blue?"
"I don't know, I just wanted to spend time with you," Wendy shrugs, "I didn't want anyone interrupting us though."
"This is a public place though, I'm sure other people will show up," Romeo points out.
A dark shadow crossed over Wendy's face, "no one will interrupt us."
"Um…ok…" Romeo says, scooting back a couple inches. "Wendy, are you ok?"
"Of course I am!" Wendy says, her mood changing completely. In reality, Wendy was not ok, although she doesn't really know what's wrong with her, nor can she stop herself. What she really wants is to take Romeo to her house and cuddle him to death, but would his dad let him? She lives alone so they normally have to go to his house to hang out.
Romeo nods and gives a nervous smile, "so how did your latest job go?"
"It was actually a lot of fun! Although, because it was team Natsu, there was a good bit of destruction and chaos," Wendy chuckles. "What about you? You go on any fun jobs while I was away?"
"Yeah, I went with Cana to a mountain to help find a kidnapped child. It went smoothly and we got the child back safe and sound!"
Wendy didn't like the fact that Romeo went on a job with just Cana, in fact it made her kinda jealous? "That's great…" She mutters, looking at the ground.
"What's wrong?" Romeo asks, confused.
"I don't want you hanging out with Cana, not by yourself at least."
"Wendy, she's older than me, what do you think is going to happen?"
"I don't care if she's older than you!" Wendy growls.
"You know what? You're acting weird, I'm just going to go," Romeo says, standing up. "Thanks for the picnic."
"No, you're staying here!" Wendy growls, standing up and grabbing his wrist.
"Wendy, let go."
"Why don't we go to my place and talk this out?" Wendy suggests, wanting to get out of public.
"You know we can't hang out at your place."
"I don't care, just come on!" She says, dragging him down the hill.
Carla, who was watching from a distance, face palmed. "Damnit, it's just as I expected, it's that season again. Should I go stop her or grab the other exceeds? The season affects all dragon slayers not just one, I should probably touch base with the others so we know who all are affected." Carla decides, flying off to the guild.
"Wendy," Romeo starts, "I don't like the way you're acting. I'm going to go home."
"No you aren't," Wendy says, still pulling him towards her place.
"Purple net!" Romeo says, trying to trap Wendy, unfortunately though, Wendy wasn't in the mood for games.
She casted her spell Vernier which allowed her to easily dodge his attack and turned around, chanting a spell. "Sky dragon crushing fang!" She exclaims. Romeo gets hit and falls to the ground. He isn't injured too badly but it's enough to stun him long enough for Wendy to find his pressure point, effectively knocking him out.
It didn't take too much longer for them to get home but since Wendy lives in Fairy Hills, she snuck Romeo in through her window and laid him down gently on the couch. She then sat on the other side of the couch and waited for him to wake up.
It took Romeo about thirty minutes for him to wake up. "Ugh, what happened?" Romeo grumbles, sitting up. "More importantly, where am I?"
"Romeo," Wendy smiles, looking over at him, "you fell asleep so I brought you to my place. I hope you don't mind."
"I don't remember falling asleep and you know my dad is going to freak if he finds out about this."
"Then just don't tell him."
"I can't do that! It's not right!" Romeo frowns, "what has gotten into you Wendy?"
"Nothing," Wendy shrugs, "I just want to cuddle with you, I've really been craving them, just been too scared to say anything…until now."
Romeo blinked, "cuddles?" They've never cuddled before. They're both very shy and it took them forever to start dating, they haven't gone any further than going on dates though. He wasn't sure what was going on but he knew there was definitely something wrong with Wendy, she wasn't acting like herself.
"Yes cuddles!" Wendy exclaims, laying her head on his lap. Romeo will admit, it did feel nice. He gave her a small smile and ran his hands through her soft, long blue hair. Honestly, he didn't know why he did that, it just…felt right in the moment. "You should stay here tonight," Wendy mumbels, closing her eyes since it was like midnight.
"Wendy," Romeo sighs, "you know I can't do that…My dad will go insane, plus you live in Fairy Hills, I'm not supposed to be here and if we get caught, you could be evicted!"
"Natsu never gets caught when he goes to Lucy's," Wendy mutters. "Just tell your dad that you're on an overnight job."
"I have a better idea that doesn't involve lying to my dad," Romeo says, grabbing his lacrima.
The lacrima rings a few times before his dad picks up, 'Hello?'
'Hey dad, I was just wondering, could I possibly stay at Wendy's place tonight? Wendy is feeling off and I wanted to make her something to eat and help her feel better without making her go somewhere.'
His dad hesitated for a moment before sighing, 'fine, just don't do anything you'll regret, and if everything goes ok, I might let you do this more.'
'Really? Thanks dad!' Romeo exclaims, before hanging up.
"You still lied to your dad," Wendy points out, looking up at him.
"No I didn't, you aren't feeling well. You're acting weird and clingy."
"I feel fine, I don't know what you're talking about!"
"You're being very clingy and you're acting very jealous because I told you about that job with Cana! You're obviously not fine!"
"Whatever," Wendy mutters, rolling her eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me!"
"Can we just go to sleep? I'm tired." Wendy mutters, grabbing Romeo's hand in hers. Romeo was blushing red at the amount of physical contact Wendy was giving him, he really wasn't used to it. Although, he couldn't say he didn't like it, in fact he loved it! It made him feel really happy inside. He continued to play with Wendy's hair as he grabbed a blanket off the end of the couch and covered up the two of them, also falling asleep.
