Chapter 3
The next morning, Victor was at school. "Alright class, today we are learning about what a friend is," says the teacher. "Can anyone tell me, what is a friend?" The whole class puts their hands up, then the teacher says: "Victor? What is a friend?" Victor stands up and says: "A friend is, someone who's nice to us." "Well done Victor. A friend is someone who's nice to us. I have an idea. Why don't we draw a friend?"
The teacher walked around the classroom and handed pieces of paper to the students. Victor stared hard at the paper; he didn't know who to draw. "I don't have much friends. What do I do?" Victor thinks to himself. "Victor? Is something wrong?" says the teacher. "I'm sorry, I don't know what to draw miss," says Victor. "It's okay, you don't have to draw a friend. You could draw anyone you want. Just don't be scared to tell me, okay?"
Victor nodded and looked back at the paper. He then remembered what The Wolf said to him last night. "Oh yeah, don't be scared," says Victor. He grabbed a crayon and started to draw on the paper. After a few minutes, the teacher says: "Alright class, let's see what you drew." One by one, the students showed off their drawings. "Alright, Victor? Who did you draw today?" says the teacher.
Victor stood up and showed everyone a drawing of The Wolf. "This is my friend, Mr. Wolf," Victor says proudly. "Oh, is he like your imaginary friend?" says the teacher. Victor nodded and said: "Yeah, he told me that I shouldn't be scared. Instead, I should be brave." "Why would he tell you that?" Victor takes a deep breath and says: "Well, my mommy and daddy fight a lot and that scares me."
The teacher looks at Victor with a worried face and says: "What do they fight about?" Victor suddenly froze, he knew he shouldn't tell anyone about his dad, because he could get hurt. "I don't know," Victor says sadly. He then sat down at his desk and stares at the drawing. Suddenly, the bell rang and the teacher says: "Alright class, time for lunch. As you leave, can you pass me your drawings?"
Whilst the class leaves the room, Victor stares at the drawing and thinks to himself: "I know what I have to do. I have to brave. I can do this." Victor grabbed a pencil, flipped the paper over and wrote on the back. "Victor? It's time for lunch," says the teacher. "Yes miss," Victor says before returning to the paper. After he finished writing, Victor walked over to the teacher and gave her the paper.
"What were you writing Victor?" says the teacher. Before leaving, Victor looks at the teacher and says: "I'm not supposed to tell anyone. Daddy would be mad if I did." When Victor left the classroom, the teacher looked at what he wrote. Her eyes widened at what she was reading. Victor had wrote everything he knew about The Nightmare Cartel; especially about his dad.
The teacher quickly locked the door and sat on a chair. Whilst starring at the paper, she got out her phone and called the police.
