Chapter 3: Reindeer Games:
Rudolph's POV:
Well, I'm older now, but now I have to wear this silly thing on my nose. It's not very comfortable, but Dad insists because Santa's reindeer keep judging me.
Hermey's POV:
Mr. Jingle threatened to fire me if I don't be like the other elves.
Hermey: Why am I such a misfit?
I am not just a nitwit
You can't fire me, I quit
Seems I don't fit in!
Rudolph's POV:
It was time for the Reindeer Games.
"Alright, young reindeer," says Blitzen, "the Reindeer Games require speed, strength, and you have to show me you're worthy to fly. Now, you have to run this obstacle course. We don't want any mess-ups! Got it?"
We then went through the reindeer games, and I was doing great. I went through the obstacles, and I won!
"Way to go, say, what is your name," asks Blitzen.
"Rudolph, Sir," I said.
"Rudolph," says Blitzen, "that's funny, Rocky's son's name is Rudolph." The thing that covers my nose fell off. "You?"
"Is there a problem," I asked.
"Look, Kid, I hate to be the one to tell you this," says Blitzen, "but we have an image to keep. That nose is too weird! And I'm afraid you can't play any reindeer games!"
"But that's not fair," I said.
"I don't write the rules," says Blitzen.
"But your name's on the book," I said.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... you can go now," says Blitzen.
. . .
Rudolph: Why am I such a misfit?
I am not just a nitwit.
Just because my nose glows...
Why don't I fit in?
