Clone Ness was bored. He was in the bunker again just watching Mario do whatever on his laptop. He took out his phone and texted Leaf.

Ness: "Hey what's up

Leaf: "Oh hey! How's the mission?"

Ness: "I haven't done it yet."

Leaf: "Why?"

Ness: "Nervous."

Leaf: "You got this!"

Ness: "Thanks. I just wanted to get my mind off of it. The imposter is no joke."

Leaf: "Are you sure you don't want my help?"

Ness: "Nah I'm good. I just wanted to talk to you."

Leaf: "Haha! I'm flattered."

Ness: "I can't stop thinking about you."

Leaf: "Me too…"
Ness: "I promise I'll be back."

Leaf: "When you get back can I see you?"

Ness: "Of course!"

Leaf: "Please come back ok!"

Mario turned around and stared at Clone Ness. The clone realized he had been caught. He put away the phone on his backpack and gave Mario a cheeky smile.

"Who are you texting?" Mario raised a brow.

"No one."

"Ness, give me your phone."

Ness rolled his eyes and handed Mario the phone.

"Ness, why are you talking to Pokemon Trainer?" Mario asked.

"Uh… Ok look I might have gone for a walk last night."

"You left without my permission?!"

"Um, yeaaah. But hey! I made sure to get her on our side."

Mario walked over the clone and slapped him across the face. The clone looked unphased. He stared at the floor and covered his cheek.

"I am your master, don't you dare go against me again," Mario threatened.

"Yes, sir."

"Here," Mario tossed the phone back to him.

The Clone caught and gave him a confused look.

"Don't give out our plan or else," Mario warned.

"Y-yes, sir."

Little Mac knocked on Kirby's door. It's been two days since he hasn't seen her. Her door was locked and she never answered. He worried if she's purposely ignoring him now. Did he do something wrong? He asked around if anyone had seen her, but they either ignored him or said no.

He gave up and went back to his room. That's when he saw a letter in front of his door. He opened it up and read it:

Dear Little Mac, I'm sorry, but it's not working out. In fact, Smash isn't working out. I feel like I don't belong and that I don't deserve you. I create too many problems. I have decided to go back to Popstar and leave Smash forever. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Goodbye.

Kirby

Little Mac's heart couldn't stop pounding. She's leaving? She broke up with him and left? No, she wouldn't do that! Then again, she has been troubled. If only he could do something! She's gone… Popstar sounds too far away. He cried all day. He hasn't left his room since he got the letter. His whole world is gone. She was his everything. He definitely did something wrong, but he didn't know what. The only thing he could think of was that he was a bad boyfriend or maybe the others finally got to her and drove her away. Now he has nothing.

Samus felt bad when she broke up with Sonic. He looked like he really wanted them to stay together. She felt flattered. She wondered if what she did was the right thing, but she's made up her mind. He's not the same and she wants her Little Mac back. It had to be done.

Samus made her way back to Little Mac's room. Mario said that they had a plan to get rid of Kirby and she hasn't heard anything from the pink bitch in a while. She suspected that Mario finally got rid of that trash. Little Mac should be upset, so this is the perfect time to take advantage of his emotions. She knocked on his door, but he didn't answer. It's fine, she can always lockpick it again, but she decided to knock one more time.

Knock Knock!

Little Mac answered. His eyes were puffy and red. Yes! It worked. Whatever Mario did worked! Alright, it's time for her charm to work its magic.

"Little Mac, are you ok?" She frowned.

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to apologize to you."

"Apology accepted." He was about to shut his door, but she caressed his face.

"Samus please, don't do that."

"I'm worried about you."

"I'm fine."

Samus barged in his room without permission. Now is her chance to get her boyfriend back. He's lonely and weak at the moment, this shouldn't take long.

"Little Mac, I know you don't want to be alone."

"Samus, please get out of my room."

"No. Being alone is not the answer. You need someone to talk to."

"You're just going to call me names if I open up to you."

"I promise I won't. I've been doing a lot of reflecting lately. I've been a bad person to you. Let me make it up to you."
"I don't-

"Please, give me one more chance. I'm not going to beg you to get back with me. I only want to be here for you."

"I… *sighs* ok."

"Thank you. Now tell me what's wrong?"

"It's Kirby, she left."

"She dumped you?"

"She left smash."

"She's gone gone?"

"Yeah."

"What! Why?"

"I don't know. I think it's my fault."

"There's no way. I don't think it's you, Little Mac. I think it's because of her new form. She's been dealing with a lot since she changed."

"That's true…"

The two had a long talk about relationships. She seemed to finally change. She didn't look angry all the time like she used to. This got Little Mac thinking that maybe he could be her friend again. He'll never be with her romantically again, but as friends it wouldn't hurt.

Lucas was finally done. Mario has done it. He broke the shy blonde boy. He's finally ready to be sent out. It took longer than he would have liked. The other smashers are probably freaking out about it. Mario needed to be more careful. If he kept kidnapping people, they might start to catch on.

Mario created a story for clone Ness to tell the others. He roughed up Ness to look like he's been through hell. He made sure to do the same to Lucas as well. The boys are finally ready to go back to the mansion and continue life as normal. Although he was a bit worried about Clone Ness. He doesn't act right. He's smart like Ness, but he seems too confident. Mario reminded Clone Ness to act like the real one. The clone agreed, but Mario was still worried. He better not fuck this up.

Mario sent the boys away. Now he needed to contact Villager. He called him. Villager picked up and greeted Mario.

"Hey, Mario," Villager said.

"Are you still sick?"

"No, I feel a lot better actually. I made the break up letters like you asked."

"From both parties?"

"Yeah."

"Well, did they break up?"

"They did."

"Perfect, with Little Mac out of the picture, that pink slut no longer has any allies."

"Yup."

"You're awfully quiet. Are you sure you're ok?"

"Yeah, sorry. I'm a bit busy. Oh also, I got Kirby to leave Smash."
"Y-you did? How?"

"I've been sending fake letters from every smash character about how much they hated her to her door. She couldn't take it anymore and left."

"She went back to Popstar?"

"Yeah."

"Holy shit! I knew you were the right person to work with!"

"Yeah, anyway I gotta go."
"See ya."

The two hung up. She's gone. She's actually gone. This makes his job a lot easier. There's no way she can tell Peach about the kiss. Yes, now he can have full control of everything. It wasn't even about the kiss anymore. He has pets now! He has full control of his brother, Lucas, and he has clones that work for him. He's a God! In fact, if he could take Master Hand's job. He could run the entirety of Smash. Heck, get Waluigi on the roster! Yes, he could create a brand new smash world. He could make it where he's the main hero instead of him and Kirby taking turns being the main character. This is perfect! He can rebuild smash and make it perfect. He has to do it.

Finally! Mario gave Clone Ness him permission to finally take Ness's place. He can finally be in the smash mansion. Mario gave the Clone Ness's keys to his room. He grabbed Lucas's hand and opened the large doors. The mansion looked amazing! It was so big and it looked so high class. Wow, so this is the smash mansion.

The other smashers that were walking by dropped their things and went straight for the two. They started asking a ton of questions. Lucas cowered behind Ness. He simply smiled at them and explained that Lucas went to go save him. Unfortunately Lucas got captured, but Ness came back and rescued him. It was a close one! They barely made it out alive. The other smashers asked where they were. Ness told them that they were in a dungeon somewhere in the mountains. Of course he pointed in the direction opposite to where the real prisoners were located. The others wanted to go there and find it already, which Ness gladly let them go. He knew they wouldn't find anything. In fact, they would get lost and give up.

Ness and Lucas watched the other smashers go to the direction he pointed at. Hmph! Sore losers, they don't realize they're going the wrong way. Whatever, it's time to explore the place. Ness of course lied to Lucas and said he forgot where his room was. It's been so long ya know. The blonde happily led Ness to 'his' room.

Ness thanked Lucas and gave him a hug. He blushed and left to go back to his room. All he could remember is that he went to Villager's party and they ate cake. Everything else became a blur. Then Ness went missing. He went to go save him, but then the imposter took him. Then Ness saved him! That's all he could remember and that Mario gave them a place to hide for a bit. He's just glad that everything is back to normal. Well, almost. He wished that he could tell Ness how he felt about him, but he'll do it when the time comes.

Kawasaki kept singing and at one point Gordon Ramsay started crying again. Ness didn't blame him. Being stuck here with Kawasaki was hell. He didn't understand what was truly happening to them. He acted like this was one big joke. The rest were struggling and miserable. Only eating cat food and sleeping with no bed. Everyone felt exhausted. Ness could feel himself getting skinnier and skinnier.

How long has he been here for? 4 months. It's been 4 months. Has it? It feels longer. It feels like he's been trapped here for a year. 10 years even! This was absolute hell. The worst part is that no one wanted to work with him. Sure Ness messed up quite a bit, but they didn't even want to give him a chance. He was a laughing stock to them. He decided to give up on them and try to find a way out on his own, but it's frustrating. Why didn't they want to help him figure out a plan? It's so frustrating! Ugh, Kawasaki keeps singing! It's messing up his thinking. He can't think.

Ness: "Kawasaki, please stop."

Kawasaki: "Oh, I'm sorry. Was I too loud?"

Ness: "Yes I'm trying to think."
Gordon: "Give it up, kid. We're not getting out of here."

Ness: "Can you shut up! You guys completely gave up, but there's a way out. I know there is. I hate how you guys won't even help me. I… I FUCKING HATE IT! WHY!"

Gordon: "Why would we help the guy that's screwed up multiple times?"

Ness: "Because WE'RE ALL FUCKING TRAPPED HERE! DON'T YOU WANT TO GO BACK HOME WITH YOUR KIDS?!"
Gordon: "I do."

Ness: "Then help me. Please… Help. Me."

Sonic: "Dude, you good? You got loud."

Ness: "No… I'm not ok. I've been here for too long. My dad is dead. My best friend Lucas.. I've been a jerk to him. I should've told him my plan first. He should've been my first option. You guys are right, I'm no genius. I'm stupid and I can't do anything right." Tears started to fall from his eyes.

For once the others couldn't help but feel bad for him. They have been attacking him and blaming him for all the bad that's been happening. They couldn't help but feel guilty about it.

Sonic: "Hey man, I'm sorry. It'll be ok."

Ness: "No, it won't be ok. I'm not ok! This is not ok. Mario took everything from me. He took everything from us. Guys I know I messed up in the past and my plans keep falling. This is why I need you guys to help me. Please, I just want your help."

Gordon: "I get it, kid. I'm not even supposed to be here. I want out of here too, but he literally cleared all the rocks in this cave. He can't do anything."

Sonic: "Yeah, sorry dude. I've tried. I really did. Before you got here, I literally tried digging to see if I could use anything. Of course digging concrete is kind of impossible."

Ness: "Have you tried punching it?"

Sonic: "Yes actually! My strength is gone."

Ness thought about it. Sonic is not only fast, but he could punch mountains. These shackles… What the fuck are they? Where did Mario get these? They look like simple shackles, but Mario definitely augmented them. Ness wondered if he fused them with something from Smash. Think Ness, what's something so powerful that could nullify their powers. Think back. What's been a recurring source in this game that's powerful enough to stop any smasher? Is it subtle? What could it be? What's in these shackles? The final boss in the fourth game used shackles and chains. Wait, everytime they fought something big it took place in the final destination stage. Wait, could it be-

Kawasaki: "Hey Ness, whatcha thinkin' about?"

Ness: "Kawasaki not now."

Kawasaki: "You've been staring at the floor for a while. Are you ok? Are you feeling sad? I can cheer you up. OOOOH THERE ONCE WAS SHIP THAT PUT TO SEA THE NAME OF THE SHOP WAS THE BILLY OF TEA THE WINDS BLEW-

Ness: "Aaaand I lost it. Thanks, Kawasaki. Thank you so much for making me forget."

Kawasaki: "Oh, no problem Ness. I'm always happy to help."
Ness: "I was being sarcastic."

Sonic: "Was it another plan of getting out?"

Ness: "No actually. It was… Ugh, it doesn't matter because I forgot."
Gordon: "Probably wasn't important anyway."

Ness: "Thanks guys, I'm so happy I have this amazing support system around me."

Kawasaki: "No problem."

Mario gave Clone Sonic a call. The fake blue blur picked it up. Damn, right when he was in the middle of studying too. How annoying.

"Yes, sir?" Sonic answered.

"Hey, can you keep an eye on Ness? I want to make sure that he's under control."
"Why?"

"I don't-a want the others to get suspicious if Ness isn't acting like Ness."

"How is he supposed to act?"

"He's a shy nerdy loser. He doesn't have a lot of friends and he's awkward. Stalk him and get back to me. He's supposed to act like that ok. If he acts anything but that, let me know."

"Sure."

Sonic got up from the library. He ran around the mansion. Luckily he's fast so it didn't take too long for him to find Ness. He saw Ness walking around a football field with another girl. Oh no, the boss won't be happy about this. He continued to watch. So far, the two were only walking and talking. Is that fine? Mario said he didn't have a lot of friends. This could be just the one friend though, right? Wait, no, he watched as Ness grabbed her hand and gave her a flirty look. Isn't this how HE was supposed to act?

If Mario found out that Samus broke up with him, Sonic would be in a lot of trouble. Dammit, he needed to get back with Samus. They're supposed to act like the originals. Well Mario only told them to act a certain way, how are they supposed to nail their personalities if they never even met them? Ok, maybe Mario would go easy on him if he told him that.

Sonic took out his phone. He let out a heavy sigh. Ok, he can do this. Tell Mario the truth. Tell him that he broke up with Samus and that Ness is trying to bang. Alright deep breath. Sonic dialed his number.

"Sonic? Is everything ok?" Mario asked.

"Um.. well…"
