Episode 3: Family Reunited
It has been a few weeks, yet still no sign of my family. I have been searching for them, high and low but I got nothing. No sight of them, whatsoever. I am frustrated. Angry. Sad. Why did Scar have to go to war with my family? Why did I have to lose them? I am sitting at the table at the Library of Legends where I have been living for the last few weeks, sitting at a table, drawing a picture of my family. Tears dropped down onto the page as I was drawing. I miss them so damn much. I would give anything to be reunited with them.
As I was humming along to the song I was listening to called Don't Blame Me by Taylor Swift while drawing, my friend, Emily walked up to me. "Whacha drawing there, Lana?" Emily asked me. I yelped with fright, quickly covering up the picture.
"Ahh! No looking!" I cried.
"We're just curious, Lana. We won't laugh at you or anything." Emily assured me.
"I used to be the same way too. I never liked showing other people my drawings." Lily said.
"You don't have to show us if you don't want to," Chloe said while placing a hand on my shoulder. I took a deep breath while gripping Chloe's hand tight for assurance. Maybe showing my friends my drawing will help me find my family.
"Okay. Here's my drawing." I said. I removed my hands to show them. They looked at my drawing with amazement.
"Wow Lana, this is amazing! Is this you're family?" April asked me.
"Yes," I said.
"Don't worry, we will find your family I promise," Chloe said.
"In the meantime, I brought us some food. Who's up for some dinner?" Kelsey said while taking some food out of her bag.
"Me!" I shouted excitedly. My friends laughed.
"Chow down, girl!" Kelsey said. I dug in the food immediately, not wanting to miss out on anything. I had a good time with my friends. We laughed, joked, and played games. Soon, it was time for bed. As I was settling in my bed, getting comfortable, Emily was reading to me one of her favorite fairy tales called Cinderella. After she finished reading, Emily tucked me in bed.
"Goodnight Lana," Emily said.
"Goodnight Emily," I said. Before Emily left, I spoke up. "Emily?"
"Yeah?" Emily asked as she turned her attention towards me.
"Thank you. For everything." I said.
"No problem. I'm here for you. Always. Goodnight." Emily said. With that, she left, closing the door behind her and turning the lights off. When I was alone, I pulled the blankets over me, snuggling with my Luna plush from Sailor Moon. As I closed my eyes, I hoped that someday soon, I would find my family.
I was woken up the next day when I felt someone shaking me. "Lana. Wake up." April said. I groaned, turning over and swatting her hand away.
"Let me sleep. Five more minutes." I said groggily.
"We have a surprise for you if you get up. I think you're gonna like it." April said. I woke up slowly, looking to see April standing next to my bed.
"Hi April," I said, still groggily.
"Hey, Lana. Get dressed, then come downstairs, okay?" April said.
"Okay," I said. When April left, I got out of bed to get dressed. I got my RWBY Blake T-shirt on with black leggings. I put one of my grey sweaters on, then I combed my hair and pulled it in a ponytail. Before I went downstairs, I looked in the mirror to see the visible scar on my right eye. I traced my fingers along the scar. It was a reminder of the abuse I endured over the years at the hands of my husband. I saw the torn top half on my left ear too.
I got that from my father a long time ago, back when I was a kid. When and if my family does return, I am hoping to God that Scar and Zira do not come back. I do not want to go through abuse again. As I was lost in my thoughts, I heard Kelsey calling to me.
"Yo, Lana! Get down here! Your surprise is waiting for you!" Kelsey called.
"Coming!" I called back. I quickly went downstairs, wanting to see my surprise. When I got downstairs, I gasped with shock, putting my hand over my mouth. There, in front of me stood my family. Everyone was here. My mom and dad, Uru and Ahadi. My brother Mufasa, and my sister-in-law, Sarabi, as well as my nephew Simba, and my wife, Nala. There was Aunt Sarafina as well as Kovu and Kiara. Unfortunately, Zira is there. As well as my husband, Scar. I was not happy to see them, but I was happy to see everyone else.
"Lana!" My family cried, running up to me. They tackled me with big hugs. I hugged them back tightly, not wanting to let go. I sobbed tears of joy. After so long, I have finally found them.
"We missed you so much!" Uru cried.
"I missed you guys too." I sobbed.
Nala kissed me. "It's okay baby, we're all here now." She said.
"I'm glad," I said.
"We're glad too. Glad you are safe." Mufasa said. I turned to my friends, with a big smile on my face.
"How did you guys find them?" I asked.
"We went through the book portal, and we ran into them," Lily said.
"Was it at Pride Rock?" I asked.
"No, it was somewhere else," Chloe said.
"Oh okay," I said.
My father, Ahadi looked at my friends. "Thank you guys for taking care of my daughter," Ahadi said.
"It's no problem," I said. I wanted to chat with my family, to reconnect with them after being separated for so long. But my husband, Scar had other plans.
"Lana! Come with me." Scar said with a low growl. I knew better then to disobey so I went with him as he led me outside of the hut and out in the open of the Library of Legends. My family did not intervene because they did not want me to get hurt. Once we were alone, Scar pinned me down.
"You little brat! Why did you have to run away, huh?!" Scar yelled while punching me in the face.
"It's not my fault! It's your fault! You were the one who put our family at war because of your jealousy!" I yelled. Scar growled, slapping me hard across the face.
"Enough!" Scar yelled. Scar got off of me. He sighed, then said, "Since you clearly cannot follow the rules, I think it is time we made some changes around here. Time to put this back on you." My eyes widened in shock when he held up the black shock collar.
"No! Please don't make me wear that again!" I cried.
"Too bad. I am your husband, and what I say goes. Now hold still." Scar said. Scar held me down while he put the shock collar around my neck. He fastened it on tightly, making it hard for me to breath. Scar gripped my chin tightly while smirking.
"There. Now you are mine again." Scar said with a low growl. He planted a kiss on my cheek. "Now run along to your little friends. Remember. Do not tell them about what I do to you. If you do, I will kill you. Or worse." He said, his voice dangerously low. I was too scared to speak up, so I could only nod. Scar walked away. I hate him. I wish I didn't have to be trapped in this stupid marriage.
I saw my friends and family, walking outside with concerned expressions on their faces. "Woah Lana, are you okay?" Kelsey asked.
"What did he do to you?" Lily asked, her voice quiet.
"I-It's nothing." I stuttered.
"Come on, Aunt Lana. Tell us." Simba urged.
"No!" I shouted. I didn't want to tell because I did not want to put my friends in danger.
"Okay. We can talk about this later." Nala said. I sighed with relief. I know Nala was not gonna leave me alone about this, but at least I got a break from the conversation. I changed subjects so I could quickly forget about the subject.
"Do you guys want to see Pride Rock? I know you guys have seen some of it, but I want to show you more of it." I said.
"Sure! We'd love to see more." Chloe said.
"Mom? Dad? Is that okay with you?" I asked.
"I don't see why not," Uru said.
"Sure, as long as you do not go to the Shadow Lands," Ahadi said.
"Yay! Okay, come on guys, let's go!" I shouted, running to the bookshelves. Time to use the bookshelf like my friends taught me. First, push the book to the right... then to the left... and open! Me and my friends fell through the portal, with my family following behind. When we landed, I landed on two feet, a perfect landing. We were in my room, where my bookshelf was since it was the only bookshelf in Pride Rock. My friends looked around my room, amazed by all the superhero decorations and planets decorations in my room.
"Wow Lana, this room is amazing! I love the superheroes!" Lily said.
"Thanks! There is more. Come on, I'll show you!" I said. I beckoned my friends to follow me. We went outside where Pride Rock stood tall and proud.
"Oh wow," Chloe said.
"This is like a real-life fairy tale!" Emily cried. I showed them around Pride Rock, telling them my duties as Queen. I told them the story of how I married Nala after the battle with Scar. Nala married Simba as well, and we all became a happy couple. Kelsey turned her attention to the dark Shadow Lands.
"Woah, what is that over there?" Kelsey asked.
"Those are the Shadow Lands," I said.
"That place is off limits," Mufasa said firmly.
"Why?" April asked.
"Because there are dangers there. Dangerous animals you do not want to mess with." Simba warned us. I continued on with the tour, showing my friends the rest of the Pride Lands. My friends were amazed, their mouths dropped open.
"This place is so huge, it's like a giant soccer field!" April cried.
"Wanna race?" I asked.
"Yeah!" April shouted.
"Let's use our Glitter Powers and see how fast we can race each other with our powers!" I said.
"Okay, bet!" April said.
"I'm sorry, hold up. Glitter Powers?" Nala said, confusion written on her face.
"Uhhh... it's where we transform into superheroes and use our powers to fight evil!" I said nervously.
"Fight evil!?" Nala shouted.
"Uh-uh! No way am I letting my wife be a superhero!" Scar shouted.
"Come on Scar, you ruin everything!" I shouted. "Let me at least show you my cool outfit. Candy, can I show my family?" I asked.
"Yeah, as long as they keep it a secret!" Candy said.
"Okay, here it goes! Insert Glitter Charm!" April and I yelled, inserting the Glitter Charm into our Glitter Pacts.
"Activate Glitter Charm!" The voice said.
"Glitter Force Makeover!" We yelled. A magical Glitter Puff appeared. I took the Glitter Puff and tapped it on my arms.
"Glitter Bands!" I yelled. Glitter Bands appeared on my arms.
I tapped the Glitter Puff on my legs next. "Glitter Boots!" I yelled. Glitter Boots appeared on my legs. I tapped the Glitter Puff on the rest of my body to create the rest of my outfit. A bow appeared. Next came my big hair. "Ah!" I yelled when my big hair appeared. My eyes changed color from green to light purple. I giggled and tapped the Glitter Puff on my cheeks to apply some power.
Next, April did her transformation. "Glitter Force Makeover!" April yelled. A magical Glitter Puff appeared. April took the Glitter Puff and tapped it on her arms.
"Glitter Bands!" April yelled. Glitter Bands appeared on her arms.
"Glitter Boots!" She yelled. Glitter Boots appeared on her legs. She tapped the Glitter Puff on the rest of her body to create the rest of her outfit. A bow appeared.
"Spring has Sprung!" April yelled. Next came her big hair. She tapped the Glitter Puff on her cheeks to apply some power. We both landed on the ground when we finished transforming.
"A force as strong as life itself! I'm Glitter Spring!" April yelled, doing her pose.
"Hopes and dreams, the power of belief! I'm Glitter Wish!" I yelled, doing my pose. When I was in full costume, my family admired our outfits. Scar looked at me with a glare. He was silent for a while, then he spoke up.
"If you win this race, you can be a Glitter Warrior or whatever the hell it is that you do," Scar said.
"Okay. First one to Pride Rock and back." I said.
"3... 2... 1... GO!" Kelsey yelled. Spring and I took off, our speed increasing as we were getting closer and closer to Pride Rock. Spring summoned her Glitter Powers with her Glitter Spirit.
"Glitter Force... Sparkle Shot!" Spring yelled. Spring kicked her Sparkle Shot at me, knocking me down. I growled with frustration as she sprinted past me. So she wants to play it that way, huh? Well Spring, you're in for a surprise. I summoned my Glitter Spirit to summon my powers.
"Glitter Force Sparkle Star!" I yelled. I shot my Sparkle Star at Spring, blinding her. I quickly sprinted past her. My family cheered me on as I got closer and closer to the finish line. Come on, almost there. Just one more step and... I did it! I won the race! I jumped up and down with victory. I won! I can be a warrior!
"Lana is the winner!" Kovu announced.
"Nice job, Aunt Lana," Simba said.
"Thanks," I said.
"Good game," Spring said. I smiled. Mine and Spring's outfits disappeared, bringing us back to our normal clothing. I looked at my husband with a smirk on my face.
"Fine, fine. You can be a warrior." Scar said.
"Yes!" I cheered. I looked at everyone happily, but they had concern on their faces. My mother walked up to me.
"Sweetie... I know this is what you want, but I am worried for you. Fighting evil is serious. You could get hurt." Uru said.
"Your mother is right Lana. I do not want you getting hurt." Nala said.
"Please guys, this is what I want to do. I want to help my friends." I pleaded. Uru and Nala looked at each other. Then they turned to me and sighed.
"Okay, Lana. If this is what you want, I support you." Nala said.
"Thanks, Nala," I said, giving her a kiss.
"Please, promise me you will be careful though," Uru said.
"I promise, Mom," I said. The rest of the day was a blur. I talked to my family, catching them up on everything they had missed out on. As I was talking, I noticed Lily was not there. I wondered where she had gone, so I walked away to look for her. I ran around, calling her name. I kept looking and looking for her but she did not show up. Then I found her, in the forbidden place where we are not allowed to go.
The Shadow Lands. I sighed. I had to get her out of there before we got in trouble. "Lily!" I called, running up to her. Lily turned her attention towards me.
"Lana?" Lily said.
"Come on Lily, we shouldn't be here. We need to go, now." I said.
"I was just curious, I was hoping to explore a bit more, please?" She asked me. I thought for a minute, then sighed.
"Fine but we need to be quick. Only a few minutes." I said. I stood by Lily's side as we walked through the Shadow Lands. We didn't get very far though. I heard someone calling my name angrily.
"LANA!"
I gulped, turning around to see my brother, Mufasa. He looked furious. "What the hell do you two think you are doing?!" Mufasa yelled. "You know this place is off limits!"
"I-I'm sorry Mufasa. We just wanted to explore." I stammered. Mufasa slapped me hard across the face.
"Enough of this! We are going home right now!" Mufasa yelled. I whimpered when he picked me up by the scruff of my neck. Mufasa carried me back home with Lily walking behind us. When we got back home, Mufasa set me down.
"There you are. We were getting worried." Emily said when she saw us.
"There is someone here to see you," Chloe said. In front of me stood an orange pixie. He was small and cute. I smiled.
"Who's this cute little guy?" I asked as I petted his head. I was startled when the pixie slapped my hand away.
"I am not cute. My name is Pop, I am the mighty warrior of Jubiland. I do not know the meaning of the word cute." The pixie said fiercely.
"Oh wow. You're handsome." I said.
"Handsome... uh..." Pop said nervously. Pop backed up but fell down as he was walking back. We all giggled.
"He's funny," Candy said. "He's my brother."
When Pop pulled himself together, he walked up to me, holding a book in his hand. "What is that?" I asked. Pop opened the book and showed us the story of Jubiland. As he was explaining the story to me, flipping the pages of the book, I saw pictures that looked a lot like Emily as Glitter Lucky, Kelsey as Glitter Sunny, Lily as Glitter Peace, April as Glitter Spring, and Chloe as Glitter Breeze.
"Wow, all my friends are in this story," I said with amazement.
"Yes. And so are you." Pop said. Pop turned to the next page of the book, revealing me as Glitter Wish.
"Wow!" I exclaimed with excitement.
"You look fabulous," Kiara said.
"This is your story. It is up to you and you're friends to write the ending." Pop said.
"The ending will be a happy ending, right?" I asked.
"Yes, Lana. It will be a happy ending. We will make sure of it." Emily assured me. I hope so, for the sake of the universe.
A/N: Hey everyone, sorry I am deleting some of my older chapters. That is because I was not satisfied with my previous chapters, so I wanted to make this story better, plus I did not want to write those previous episodes. I would rather write episodes that I enjoy more, so I can enjoy writing this story. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed reading this chapter. The next chapter will be posted soon.
