Tohru opened her eyes and looked around. She was in a white room. There was beeping. And there was something in her nose. She looked around the room and her eyes rested on an orange head. She looked over and saw Kyo sitting by her bed, asleep. She smiled and looked at him.

"Oh, you're awake." came a soft voice. She turned and looked at the other side of the room. There sat Yuki in the corner, reading a book. Tohru smiled and looked at Yuki as he walked over to her. "You're here." she said with a smile. She looked over at the window, the gray sky and the rain sliding down the glass. She looked at Kyo and smiled. No wonder he wasn't waking up immediately.

"How are you feeling?" asked Yuki. Tohru looked at her. "Tired. And a little sore. My back is aching." Yuki nodded. "That's to be expected considering what you've been through." Tohru looked at Yuki. "How long have I been asleep?"

Kyo's eyes opened gently and he looked up and saw that Tohru was awake. He shot up. "Tohru! You're awake!" Torhu smiled and looked at Kyo. "I am." Kyo smiled. He leaned down and kissed the top of her head. He didn't care if the damn rat saw. He wanted to give his love a loving kiss.

"How are you feeling? How is your pain? Are you feeling any better?" he shot questions at her. Tohru smiled and looked at him. "I'm okay. A little achy here and there and I kinda feel a little out of it." Kyo nodded and he sat next to her, taking her hand. "Yuki was about to tell me how long I have been asleep." Kyo sat next to her. "You've been sedated for about three weeks." Tohru's eyes widened. She shot up. "Three weeks!?" She screamed, wincing.

Kyo gently put his hand on her shoulder. "Easy. You still need to take it easy. You're not fully healed." Tohru looked back at Kyo. "Where am I?"

"You are in the hospital. But don't worry, this one isn't the one owned by the Somas. As far as we know Akito still doesn't know that you're still alive." Tohru nodded. "What happened?" she asked. Kyo and Yuki looked at each other and back at her. "

You don't remember?" asked Kyo. Tohru looked at him. "I remember talking to you about speaking to Akito. And I don't really remember much else." said Tohru. Kyo nodded. "You spiked a dangerously high fever. You were in a lot of pain too. And we couldn't bear to see you in such pain so Hatori put you into a medically induced coma. There was also some swelling in your brain. That was another reason why he put you into your coma."

Tohru nodded. "I don't remember anything." Yuki walked over to her other side. "You don't have to worry about that Ms. Honda. What matters is that you're better. Your fever broke a few days after Hatori put you under. Then he wanted to continue it to keep the swelling in your brain and to help you manage your pain. Tohru nodded and she laid her head back. She brought her head back. She looked at Kyo. She turned and looked at Yuki. "Yuki, would you mind giving Kyo and me a moment alone?" Yuki nodded. We walked out of the room.

Tohru looked at Kyo. "I've been thinking about that day that I was stabbed." Kyo looked at her and he sighed. "I understand that a lot of things happened before I was stabbed. And there were things said." Kyo sighed and looked at her. She flinched when she tried to sit up. Kyo gently took her by the shoulders and helped her sit up.

"I wanted to apologize for what I said to you." Kyo looked at her. "I was only breaking up with you because it was the only thing that I could think of to protect you. Akito threatened your life and I couldn't be the reason that you were locked away early or worse."

Kyo looked down. "I know that you thought that you were protecting me. But you can't go and take on everything alone. I know that you probably think that you have to put a brave face on and you have to face everything alone so you aren't a burden to others. But that's what we are all here for. We are all here to help you through your problems. And as your boyfriend, I was there to protect you."

"I was the one that was supposed to protect you and keep you safe. I was the one that was supposed to make your battles mine as well. Your burdens are mine. Tohru, you are not alone in this fight. We are all with you." Tohru's eyes filled with tears. Kyo took his finger and wiped the tears from her eyes. He put his forehead to hers. "I am yours, Tohru." Something snapped in Kyo. He gasped and he looked at Tohru in shock. Tohru looked up at him.

"Kyo, what is it?" she asked. He backed away and sat in the chair. 'What the hell was that?' he asked himself. He gasped. "It felt like a fog lifted." Kyo shot up and hugged Tohru. Tohru was shocked and she sat there. Nothing happened. Kyo was still standing there. No orange smoke. No cat.

They separated and they looked at each other. Tohru looked at his bracelet and then back to him. Kyo tore his bracelet off his wrist, all the beads hitting the ground. Kyo looked at his hands. No transforming. No pain.

He looked from his hands to Tohru. He smiled as he looked at her. "I'm free." He said, tears filling his eyes. Tohru's eyes filled with tears. She hugged Kyo. "I'm free, Tohru. We're free," he said with a smile. Torhu smiled as she hugged him.

They separated. "Does this mean that we can be together?" she asked. He nodded. "I'm no longer a Zodiac member. I'm just a human. I'm free from Akito's hold on me." Tohru smiled and she grabbed his face and kissed him.

A blood-curdling scream was heard from the main house of the Soma Estate.
