"Do you want me to carry her upstairs?" asked Yuki. Kyo shook his head. "No, I got her." He said as he went to reach for her. Yuki looked at him. "What about transforming?" he asked. Kyo picked her up and she cuddled into his chest. "Not a problem," he said. "No, big problem." said Hatori, walking around the car to them.
"When did your bond break?" asked Hatori as they walked up the stairs to Shigure's. "Yesterday." Hatori stopped and looked at him. "And you didn't care to tell the others?" Kyo stopped and glared at Hatori. "I'm not the only one that broke their bond. And what the hell does it matter? I don't have to bow down to Akito now."
"Yes, but what caused you to break your bond?" asked Hatori. "It's none of your business." Hatori walked over to him. "If you gave yourself to Tohru and that it was that that broke the bond then Akito will know that she's alive."
Fear coursed through Kyo. "I am sure that she felt the bond sever." Kyo walked upstairs and laid Tohru on her bed and tucked her in. He cracked the door in case she needed something. He walked back down the stairs and they all sat in the main room.
"What is the problem Hatori?" asked Shigure as he joined Hatori, Kyo, and Yuki. "Kyo's bond severed yesterday." Shigure looked at Kyo with surprise. "How?" asked Shigure. Kyo looked at Shigure. "It's not important how." he said.
Hatori sighed. "I already told you that it matters." They all looked at him. "If you severed your bond because you picked Ms. Honda then I'm sure that Akito felt it. She felt the same thing that she felt when mine severed," said Yuki.
Kyo looked at Yuki. "And I doubt that she is assuming that you just broke the bond on your own. She will come after Ms. Honda again." Kyo ran his fingers through his hair. "Dammit even though I'm free from her I'm not. I still have to live in fear that Akito is going to come after Tohru again."
"We need to get her out of here. There is nothing else we can do. As long as Akito has this grudge against Tohru we don't have a choice but to run and hide her." said Kyo. "But you know that she won't leave. We already tried to get her out of here." said Yuki.
"Then I will make her come with me. We can't stay here. It's too dangerous." said Kyo. "No." Kyo whipped around and saw Tohru leaning on the door. Yuki rushed over and helped her sit down at the table.
"I'm not going to run away." said Tohru. She looked at Kyo. "That's not a life. I'm not going to live a life of looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life. I won't break my promise to mom. And I won't leave my friends because Akito doesn't want me to be with Kyo. I'm going to stay here and fight."
She looked at everyone. "Not just for Kyo. But for all of you. And for how you want to live. You all deserve a life outside of Akito and the Somas. And I won't stop till I free all of you." Kyo sighed angrily and walked outside.
Tohru looked at Yuki. "Help me up?" he nodded and helped her up and she went after Kyo. She opened the door. She looked around. She sighed. She knew where he was. And she knew that she wasn't going to be able to get up. She walked to the ladder.
"I can't come up there to talk to you. Will you please come down so we can talk?" she asked. No answer. "Kyo, you can't be mad at me. I don't want to live a life on the run. And you don't deserve it either. No one does." No answer.
Tohru sighed and she walked back into the house. "Ms. Honda, you should go back to bed. You shouldn't be up right now." said Yuki. Tohru nodded and she went to her room without a word. Yuki sighed heavily and looked at the roof.
"You two boys really don't have a reason to hate each other anymore." said Hatori. "And I think that he needs to hear from someone else." Yuki rolled his eyes and nodded. He climbed the ladder and walked over to Kyo.
Kyo rolled his eyes and turned away from Yuki. Yuki rolled his eyes and sat next to him. "Look, I already know that you're going to say that I need to respect Tohru's choice. But if I have to MAKE her leave then I will. I won't give Akito any more chances to kill her."
Yuki looked at him. "Before you rip my head off let me say this. You are acting a bit like Akito." Kyo shot up and glared at Yuki. "What the hell does that mean!? I can't believe that you said that!" Kyo went to punch Yuki.
Yuki caught Kyo's fist and pushed him hard away from him. He slapped Kyo upside the head. "You are acting like Akito in the fact that you are going to force Ms. Honda to leave. She deserves to have the right to choose whether or not she gets to stay or go. It's easier for you to leave. But think about it, Ms. Honda's family is here. This is where her mother is buried. Where her friends are."
"All I'm saying is give her the chance to explain why she's deciding to stay here." Kyo looked at Yuki. "I hate you. And I hate it even more when you're right." said Kyo with a smile. Yuki returned the smile. "I know you do, you stupid cat." he said with a smirk.
Kyo walked to Tohru's room and knocked on the door. "Tohru? Can we talk?" No answer. He knocked again. "Tohru?" he opened the door. The room was empty. There was a piece of paper on her bed.
Kyo picked up. Fear coursed through him. "Dammit Tohru!" he whispered in panic. He took off from her room. He ran down the stairs. "What the hell did you do!?" yelled Kyo in anger as he glared at Hatori.
"We did what she wanted us to do. We honored her wishes." said Hatori. "WHY!?" screamed Kyo. Yuki came into the room. "What's wrong now?" asked Yuki. Kyo looked at Yuki. "This asshole helped her get to the main Soma Estate!"
