Welcome back everyone. For this chapter and the next, we'll have some villains take center stage this time, starting off with one of the main villains of GranBlue Fantasy, Chaos Bringer, better well known as Beelzebub as the fighting game Spin-Off, GranBlue Fantasy Versus revealed him as.
In regards to fighting game bosses, Beelzebub is a pretty cool and wicked villain, but compared to other fighting game bosses (at least on the Normal Difficulty), he's nowhere near as brutal. However, in RPG Mode, he is a pretty fun and epic boss fight, not to mention his theme 'Existence' is so AWESOME!
Granted, he's not my favorite GranBlue Fantasy character (Charlotta, Zeta and Lowain take the bill!), but he is a cool antagonist. I just wish GranBlue Fantasy Versus' story would continue instead of being in a hiatus like cliffhanger...
Anyway, so what does a Primal/Astral hybrid want with the Hollow Night? Well, I can assure you it won't end well for Kanzakai, but let's see how out first villain Guest handles things.

Animations
Intro 1: Beelzebub stands before his opponent, staring with a red glint in his eye. He then removes his cloak with one of his wings extended to threaten his opponent before going into his fighting stance.
Intro 2: Wings blows out from beneath him as he removes his cloak and after covering his face, he gets into his fighting stance.
Round Loss: Beelzebub stands up, hunched over with his eyes blank, cleary angry in disbelief that he underestimated his opponent.
Time Over Loss: Looks at his hands in utter shock that he lost by a technicality.
Round Victory: Floats slightly off the ground with both of his metal wings extended upward.
Match Victory: Turns away from his defeated opponent as he puts his cloak back on. An image cut-in appears on screen to show Beelzebub smiling evilly as a red glint appears in his eye.
Infinite Worth EXS Match Victory: After the opponent is atomized by Chaos Legion, Beelzebub breaks out into maniacal laughter over killing his opponent.

Vs. Merkava: "No matter what you say you are, a beast is still a beast. Worthy only of extermination."
Vs. Byakuya: "You're less of a fool than the others. You'll make decent fuel for my chaos matter."
Vs. Eltnum and Akatsuki: "You're not from around here. It matters not, for in the end, you're another gnat swatted down by my wings."
Vs. Beelzebub (Mirror Match): "Here I thought you might actually be a challenge. But you were just a pale imitation... and a waste of my time."

Linne: "You're Chaos Matter gave me a little pause, but that overconfidence proved to be your big mistake. Not to mention, your final one."
Waldstein: "Your bravado was only that, bravado. You may possess otherworldly tricks, but in the face of sheer power, you broke easily."
Carmine: "Hahahaha! Where did all that trash talk go!? Just goes to show you what happens when you underestimate me!"
Orie: "To think there's a monster that can threaten a Re-Birth... Well, at least with this monster's death, Adelheid will have nothing to fear."
Wagner: "To think I was nearly pushed this far, but in the end, you were put down by a race you viewed as inferior. Reflect on your flawed views in hell!"
Gordeau: "You're the only other person besides the Crimson Knight that REALLY irritated me. I'm gonna make sure you never see another day."
Hilda: "I beat him? I won!? I WON! I, I mean of course I won! As if I'd ever lose to the likes of you!"
Merkava: "While I don't enjoy consuming the EXS of others, I will make an exception for you."
Byakuya: "Well, you certainly struck terror into me and sis, but I bet you make a fine hors d'oeuvre in the meantime."
Byakuya (Alternate): Tsukuyomi: "This is what happens when you don't treat your opponent seriously. Byakuya, silence him and please take your time."
Eltnum: "I'm not gonna mess around this time, for even I know you're dangerous. Hermes, obliterate this homicidal god wannabe!"
Akatsuki: "You are nothing more then a maniacal mad man intent of destroying everything! With this one strike, your end will be decided!"
Super Attacks
EXS Attack - Anthem: A command throw that if activated near the opponent, Beelzebub will absorb the opponent and then throw them across the screen as a black spear.
Infinite Worth - Black Spear: Throws an invincible projectile across the screen. It will cause more damage when done at close range and holding the button down will delay it's release.
Infinite Worth EXS - Chaos Legion: Once the Flash Field connects, Beelzebub will u leash an onslaught of deadly thorns, sending the opponent sky high. Beelzebub then flies up and unleashes a point blank blast of Chaos Matter. His opponent will fall back down if it's a round point or doesn't defeat them in a match point, but it it does defeat them during Beelzebub's match point, a special victory animation will play for Beelzebub.
Unique Traits
Shadowstep: Beelzebub's Force Function will warp him a fixed distance forward. Useful for advancing toward the enemy, dodging a project while closing the gap or escaping a corner.
Hilda Arcade Story Interaction
*Hilda runs into a Hooded figure and instead of acting like her usual self, instantly recognizes the danger and malice this figure gives off*
Hilda: "!?"
Beelzebub: "Hmmm..."
Hilda: "This power... it's not EXS, but it's... unbelievable!"
Beelzebub: "So, you can sense my power, can you? I suppose even a fly like you can tell when you are outmatched."
Hilda: "What did you call me!?"
Beelzebub: "A fly. That is what you are, just like every other gnat who's called an "In-Birth"."
"I figured sense you're the captain of Amnesia, you might be worth my time, but it would appear I was solely mistaken. I suggest you get out of my sight... or face death."
Hilda: "I'll admit you have power, but if you think I'll just stand here and take this insult from you, you've got another thing coming!"
Beelzebub: "There's a difference between bravado and bravery. You have none, just stupidity and foolishness."
*Beelzebub removes his cloak, showing off his power*
"I'll make absolutely sure you die slowly and painfully."
Hilda: "You took the words right out of my mouth! Tremble before the might and power of HILDA THE PARADOX!"
*The scene transitions to the fight*
Beelzebub Arcade Story
Prologue [Location: Altar of Light and Dark]
*Beelzebub, The Chaos Bringer, mysteriously finds himself in an unknown location sometime after teaming up with Gran and Djeeta in defeating and chasing away Belial. After taking a glance around, he realizes he's no longer in the Sky Realm or the Crimson Horizon, but another world entirely*
Beelzebub: "Hmmmm..."
"This... isn't Pandemonium, The Sky Realm or even the Crimson Horizon."
"Last time I recalled, me and the Singularities drove off the Serpent into the void where Lucilius resides. I then remained on Pandemonium for me and the Singularities could not finish what we started without destroying all of causality."
"Is this another warping of space time or a sign of something in grand design for me?"
"There appears to be an influx of power flowing around in this dimension."
*Beelzebub turns toward a floating Gate behind him, which catches his interest*
"This door apparently has an immense amount of power. Whatever it is, it is staggering."
"Perhaps..."
"If I can't reshape the Sky Realm, then maybe I should reshape this world in my own vision."
"I don't know if you can see where I am Lucilius, but now... I will initiate my plans here. I will become the King of all Creation here!"
"And since I am the only Singularity in this unknown dimension, no one will stop me!"
"Ahahaha... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
*As Beelzebub laughs in triumph of his own plans, the 1st Stage, with the first Pre-Set Opponent, loads up*
Stage 1
Vs. Hilda [Location: Altar of Light and Dark]
*As Beelzebub laughs, Hilda rushes into the Altar upon hearing him and is both surprised and angered that he's in the Altar without her noticing him*
Hilda: "What!? You! How did you get in here!?"
*Beelzebub turns toward Hilda and despite his cloak hiding most of his face, instantly puts the woman who was angry with him into a sense of fear in his presence*
Hilda: "What in the world!? You don't have any EXS powers and you're not an In-Birth, yet you have this much strength!? Just, what ARE you!?"
Beelzebub: "Are you a resident of this world? So these In-Births are this world's people and they utilize this EXS?"
"But I must say that by looking at you, you severely disappoint me..."
Hilda: "Disappoint you!? What do you mean by that!? I'll have you know that I am the leader of Amnesia, the STRONGEST of this group!"
"And, you're standing near the Gate to the Abyss, one of the things I need to attain immortality and I refuse to let you take it!"
Beelzebub: "Immortality? Surely you jest. Why take away the challenge and hard work of it all?"
"Then again, when you have lived as long as I have, it is rather meaningless."
"Looking at this gate, I assume this is the reason why I have been summoned here?"
Hilda: "What? You mean you're not from this world!?"
Beelzebub: "Apparently so. Sense I am no longer in the Sky Realm, I may as well become the King of All Creation here and this Gate may as well serve as my canvas."
Hilda: "You're mad! I only wish to bring more freedom in the Hollow Night, not destroy it!"
Beelzebub: "Says the one trying to cheat death, but if you desire to stop me, you are more then welcome to try. Just know if you decide to bear your fangs at me, you will perish..."
Hilda: "Enjoy those words, as I skewer you in the darkness, your final thought will that Hilda the Paradox is victorious! NOW DIE!"
*Beelzebub removes his cloak as he prepares to kill Hilda*
Beelzebub: "Know this, once I'm done with you, my name, Beelzebub, will be known among these gnats. Now, begone."
*The scene transitions to the fight*
Stage 3
Vs. Seth [Location: Sleeping Fountain Plaza]
*Beelzebub, with his cloak on, arrives at a fountain in the middle of a Plaza, where he meets with a young man who didn't even notice him until he drew close*
Seth: "!? This presence! I didn't even notice him until he came close to me!"
Beelzebub: "So, this is one of the In-Births? They are different from the regular humans littering this world."
"Aside these powers gained from this "Hollow Night", they are just as pitiful as the regular humans here."
Seth: "You seem certain of yourself, just who or what are you?"
"Wait... strange hood, gravely voice... are you the one who killed Paradox?"
Beelzebub: "And what if I am?"
Seth: "Amnesia fell apart instantly, saying that a monster named 'Beelzebub' killed their leader and has obtained the Gate to the Abyss. I thought they were deluded, until I confirmed it from one of their top soldiers."
"I never thought that a man with no EXS powers would do something like this. If you were an ally, I would say you've done us a favor. However..."
Beelzebub: "However what?"
Seth: "The fact you've taken the Gate for yourself shows that you are no different from Paradox. The only difference is that you are a more legitimate threat then Paradox wished she could be. Therefore, I will guide you to Hades with my blades."
Beelzebub: "A lowly gnat like you intends to send me to oblivion with those lowly weapons? Don't make me laugh."
*Beelzebub removes his cloak, almost impressed by the young man's bravery*
"I will admit that I respect your bravery, young man. While you were shocked by my power initially, as you should be, you decide to stand your ground instead of hiding behind false bravery like that Paradox woman did."
"However, you've chosen death the moment you drew your weapons against me. Now you will join Paradox and the other fool who dared challenge me."
Seth: "You've only fought inexperienced weaklings. That was how you attained victory so far. Now that you are fighting someone with experience, your luck has run out."
Beelzebub: "I will savor the look of confusion on your face as I prove to you that you are just as worthless as the other two flies I swatted."
*The scene transitions to the fight*
Stage 6
Vs. Waldstein [Location: Abandoned Building]
*A hooded Beelzebub arrives at a broken down building, continuing his extermination of In-Births who dare challenge him, only to come face to face with a monstrous looking man of imposing stature*
Waldstein: "Halt right there! You... you're the one people refer to as Bee-Ze-Bob?"
Beelzebub: "..."
Waldstein: "I'm correct then. I never would've thought that a scrawny man such as you would have slain Paradox, but now that other In-Births are dropping dead, that only proves how dire the situation has become."
Beelzebub: "Hehehe... and here I thought you were nothing more than an idiotic bug. You appear capable of understanding when you are outmatched."
Waldstein: "You may be strong, but now you are in the face of someone who knows what true power means."
"That and if you were able to strike down Paradox long before anyone else could, that shows you are indeed a powerful for that will be satisfying to battle against!"
Beelzebub: "You desire to test your strength against me? What a stupid way to die."
Waldstein: "Ain't nothing stupid about it! While I don't intend to die until i see my duties fulfilled, if I had to give up my life to ensure The Princess of the Night Blade continues her mission, then I would be content."
"Besides, if I am to die, then what better way to go out with nothing other then a warrior's death!"
Beelzebub: "Hmpf... at least you are honest. If you wish to die a warrior's death..."
*Beelzebub removes his cloak, preparing to give Waldstein everything he's got*
"Then it is a warrior's death I will give you."
Waldstein: "Don't be so quick to decide what will happen! There may be a chance you'll die and I will live to see tomorrow or there may be a chance we'll both die!"
Beelzebub: "As unlikely as my death will be, there is always that possibility. You might be the strongest opponent so far, but at any rate..."
"I will destroy you just like everyone before you and those who will join you afterward."
Waldstein: "Alright! Let us both charge forth to our bloody end!"
*The scene transitions to the fight*
Stage 9
Vs. Hyde [Location: Crimson Parking Lot]
*A hooded Beelzebub is nearly done with exterminating most of the In-Births and the few random creatures who oppose him. As he wanders around a parking lot, Beelzebub recounts the last few words Hilda said before her death*
Beelzebub: "Well, it looks like i have destroyed most if not all who opposed me and the ones that didn't made the right decision and fled instead."
"However, The Gate to the Abyss may prove useful to me. Not for it's immortality, but for the vast powers it could give me instead."
"Yet, if what Paradox said was true before I killed her, I need a weapon known as the "Insulator" before I can open the Gate."
"That means I must swat down one more In-Birth, specifically the one who carries the weapon."
*As Beelzebub thinks about his next course of action, a young man with blonde and black hair shows up, completely incensed at the hooded man before him*
Hyde: "YOU BASTARD!"
Beelzebub: "Hmmm..."
Hyde: "You're Beelzebub, right!? You're the psychopath who's been running around killing every In-Birth who came your way, am I right!?"
Beelzebub: "And here I thought I've shown the ones who fled not to trifle with me."
Hyde: "You bastard! How dare you!? You know, I've never shown hatred toward anyone, including that Seth punk, but now he's dead because of you!"
"Not only that, but you gone and killed Wald too, plus some of those other In-Births could have been friends of mine! Paradox may have been crazy, but she wasn't as deranged as you!"
"You are the one person I truly hate and resent right now! I'll make you pay for this!"
*Hyde pulls out the Insulator, prompting Beelzebub to take notice*
Beelzebub: "A red blade? So you wield the Insulator?"
Hyde: "Let me guess? You want it for some crazy plan with the Gate to the Abyss, right!? Well guess what, that's not going to happen!"
"The only thing that's gonna happen is you dying right here, right now! I know it's murder! But at this point, I'm willing to live with that fact as long as I stop your rampage!"
Beelzebub: "Really now? You kill me?"
*Beelzebub removes his cloak, preparing to take out Hyde and take the Insulator*
"But can you really say you can accomplish such a thing when I swatted eight other insignificant gnats before you? The only thing you've done is given me the piece I need to reshape this world to my will. With your death, there will be no one to stop my plans."
Hyde: "That won't happen on my watch! I will avenge everyone you killed tonight, yes even Paradox! I'll end this, right here, right now! I WILL DEFEAT YOU BEELZEBUB!"
*The scene transitions to the fight*
Final Stage
Vs. Linne [Location: Skyscraper's Rooftop]
*Beelzebub, without his cloak, on lands on top of a Skyscraper, examining the blade he took from Hyde after utterly defeating him*
Beelzebub: "Hmfp! That boy certainly put up a decent fight and this sword he used certainly gave me some pause, but in the end, I have emerged victorious."
"Now all that remains is to use this blade of the Gate and the power of all creation will be mine."
?: "I don't think so!"
*A little girl appears before Beelzebub, showing fury, but in a more controlled form*
Beelzebub: "I see you haven't ran away with the rest of the rabble."
Linne: "Why would I? Especially now sense you've gone and killed not only Wald, but Seth too and now Hyde."
"You've proven yourself to be more vile and evil then Paradox could ever be."
"All just to be the "King of all Creation"? You weren't funny and you're not funny now!"
Beelzebub: "As if I joke about this. This will serve as a stepping stone to overthrow and prove my power to Lucilius."
"I don't need immortality compared to Paradox. Why would I, considering I have accomplished so much in one night fall."
Linne: "As the Princess of the Night Blade, I can't let this pass! Now that i know what you are after, I can't let you live!"
Beelzebub: "Ah, so you're the Princess the giant man mentioned. He said he was willing to die for you, so how about this?"
"If you flee now, you will be the one person I will bring into the new world. Consider it a form of respect for that man's bravery."
Linne: "Never. I'd only bring disrespect to Wald if I accepted that offer."
Beelzebub: "Have it your way then. I gave you a choice to honor his bravery, but you chose to spit in my face."
Linne: "That's why for the sake of everyone who died by your hands and for the futures of everyone else still alive, I will strike you down!"
"There will be no escape and no survival for you!"
Beelzebub: "Very well. Please, try to make this somewhat challenging for me like that boy did."
*The scene transitions to the final fight*
Aftermath
[Location: Skyscraper's Rooftop]
*Despite her best efforts, Linne is mortally wounded by Beelzebub and is slowly dying as she shows defiance to the would be king*
Linne: *Cough* *Cough* "N-no..."
Beelzebub: "I will admit you had some fire, but in the end it wasn't enough..."
"But now I realize, you possess some form of immortality, don't you?"
Linne: "And... what if... *Gasp* I do...?"
Beelzebub: "This sword can easily sever that immortality, but my Chaos Matter can also slay an immortal..."
"But why the rush? If your soul goes to another vessel, what better way to condemn you then have you posses another body."
Linne: "You *Cough* monster!"
"Know this... there will be... someone who... will... stop you...!"
Beelzebub: "And I will be waiting for them to try."
Linne: "It would seem... this body's... time has... come..."
"Wald... Seth... Hyde... please... for... give... me..."
*Cough* *Cough* *COUGH* "Ahhhhhhh..."
*With her final breath, Linne's current host body dies, forcing her soul to reincarnate elsewhere*
Beelzebub: "Until we meet again."
*Beelzebub leaves Linne's corpse behind as he makes his way to the Gate of the Abyss*
Ending
[Location: Altar of Light and Dark]
*Beelzebub, with his cloak on, stands before the Gate preparing for the ritual*
Beelzebub: "At long last, my destiny will finally be achieved! With the power of this Gate, I will finally become the King of All Creation and attain my place in history!"
"Now for the final curtain call!"
*Beelzebub cracks open the gate with the Insulator and in an instant, a huge amount of EXS flows into Beelzebub and instead of turning him into a void or a Re-Birth, Beelzebub's powers grow*
Beelzebub: "NOW BEAR WITNESS TO THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA! THIS WORLD WILL BOW TO IT'S NEW KING! ANYONE WHO DARES TO STAND BEFORE ME WILL PERISH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
*Beelzebub is then shown on a makeshift throne smiling triumphantly as Adelheid, the leader of the Licht Kries, prepares to fight him as a young boy in a white cloak observes*
Kuon: "With that, the world was never the same again... in what was to be seen as a pure and unintentional accident, Paradox unleashed a dangerous monster into this world."
"Eventually, Adelheid stepped up to face him, but in due time, his Chaos Matter made short work of her and would go on to kill four more Re-Births, with me being the last known one."
*Beelzebub is then shown charging a sphere of Chaos Matter at Kuon*
"Linne... I only pray you will end this madness..."
Beelzebub: "With this, the last of the Re-Births are gone. Now dissappear!"
*The credits roll as "Paradise Lost" plays*

God damn... I told you all it wouldn't end well. With that, Beelzebub's trip through the Hollow Night has concluded.
In the end, Beelzebub is such a hammy and entertaining villain, if you manage to unlock him or download him in GranBlue Fantasy Versus, you may find yourself having a good time playing as him.
However, he's not the only villain we'll be seeing in the Hollow Night. Next time, we'll be seeing a digital being from the VR world come forth into the world of reality. See you next time!
