I wasn't so sure about a melee weapon for the Clone Troopers so I consulted with the panel and agreed that I give the Clones a vibrodagger. Their weapons are a combination of what they have in the movies and Battlefront II as I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to Star Wars so inform me of any mistakes. The Clones will appear as they do from the prequel trilogy movies and the Gears used will be at the end of GoW2. I hope you all enjoy the battle and please don't forget to fave, follow and review.

For this fight we're bringing in two infantry soldiers from the future when the Clone Troopers of Star Wars shoot it out with the COG Gears from the Gears Of War game series.'' DeadAliveManiac said with pure excitement present in his voice.
''These are two highly trained soldiers of the future we're bringing in and the motivation they have for fighting their respective enemies is off the charts. The Clone Troopers are fighting the droid army throughout the galaxy whereas the COG Gears are fighting for humanity's survival against the Locust Horde.'' Zivon96 seconded.
''We're gonna see different technology where the Clones are bringing in plasma bolts in their guns and the Gears are using standard bullets but the uses and killing power of them are similar in many, many ways. Sure the Clones have laser weapons but the Gears are very ferocious in combat and they have to be. This is a fight that will come down to how each group uses their weapons and it will definitely get bloody.'' MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior added.
''Two popular franchises, two highly trained and deadly infantry units meet in a guns blazing battle! It is definitely one of the closest fights we have so far in this fic so let's get this started.'' Its Rice Man concluded.
Clone troopers, also known as Republic troopers, Republic troops, Republic soldiers, and nicknamed the "Boys in White," were highly trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. Representing the future of galactic warfare, clones were designed to be far superior to battle droids. During the last years of the Galactic Republic, clones formed the backbone of the Republic Military that waged war against the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Clone Wars was named after the Republic's clone army, which became symbolic of the conflict that had spread throughout the galaxy after a millennium of peace.
''They are all clones of Jango Fett which is where their great skill in battle comes from. They brought the droid army to its knees but soon reformed into the Galactic Empire and became the horrible shooters the Stormtroopers. They will no doubt give the Gears a real fight.'' Rice Man explained.
The Clones Troopers brought with them a futuristic arsenal that allowed them to defeat the mighty droid army.

But today the Clones will confront a tough adversary, one that isn't made up of drones, but of soldiers who fight their opponent with unmatched ferocity.
The Coalition of Ordered Governments Army or the COG Army was the main branch of the COG Armed forces and the primary basis for the authoritarian COG society. The Infantry was the backbone of the COG Army, Gears soldiers mostly came from Tyrus, South Islands, and Kashkur. The Gears were the standard frontline troops while the recently introduced Commandos, or the Special Tactics Group who were the behind-enemy-lines special forces troops during the Pendulum Wars. Gears soldiers were also trained in amphibious combat and as paratroopers.
''They've fought in many battles and the most noticeable of those was their war against the vicious Locust Horde and they had to be tough to fight a heartless enemy like that. The Clones are gonna have their hands full with these tough as nails soldiers.'' Rice Man explained.
The Gears used a very advanced arsenal of weapons that permitted their triumph against the vicious Locust Horde.

Mid-Range: Lancer Mark 2 Assault Rifle
Long Range: Longshot Sniper Rifle

These two infantry forces had two different weapons when things got up close and personal. First and foremost the Clone Troopers will reveal their blade which is favored by many across the galaxy. The vibrodagger.
''This is a weapon that is very popular within our galaxy. The vibrodagger as its name suggests creates rapid vibrations which helps increase its cutting ability without much force exerted from the user. It was single edged, weighed 2 pounds and measures in at 14 inches and made of durasteel.'' explained Clone Trooper Captain Rex explained.
''We'd like to see you demonstrate that for us with these ballistics gel torsos representing a COG Gear? One will be bear and the other will wear the standard COG armor and you will have 15 seconds.'' DAM said pointing toward the target.
''Certainly.'' Rex said with a smirk.
''Okay Rex on 3...2...1...cut em up!'' DAM called out.
Just as DAM gave the signal the blade began to let out a very low humming sound and Rex took the dagger and jammed it into the gut of the unarmored torso and proceeds to carve his way through the gut pulling out a piece of intestines among the blood being spilled. He then pulls the blade out and jams it into the target's skull with a crunch before pulling it out again and makes his way toward the armored target and thrusts the blade into the abdomen only for the blade to bounce off and it left only a moderate scratch just as DAM called time.
Zivon then made his way over to check the damage.
''For the first strike you stabbed this guy in the gut and basically carved your way through his body managing to pull some intestines out and with the amount of blood we're seeing here he'll bleed out and you can watch him die a slow death. The second strike is a no brainer, literally because you jammed that blade down into the skull and struck the brain for an instant kill.'' he then made his way over to the armored torso, ''I'm not seeing anything significant here except the scratch and judging from how hard you struck him he wouldn't really feel the hit and he'll be left laughing at you.''
''We may not be able to get through that armor with a blade but I'm sure our plasma weapons will.'' Rex said.
''Not only will we be laughing at that, COG Gears will laugh after we've sawed you and your Clones to pieces.'' COG Gear Marcus Fenix commented.
''Think you can do better?'' Demigod asked.
All Marcus did was nod.
The COG Gears respond to the vibrodagger with a weapon so unexpected that it will be the last thing any opponent would see. The chainsaw bayonet.
''This is the chainsaw bayonet attachment on our Lancers. It functions through a motorized chain mechanism with a weight of 2 pounds measuring at 18 inches and will slice and dice any fucker unlucky enough to be at the business end of this thing.'' Marcus explained holding the Lancer Assault Rifle which had the bayonet permanently attached to it.
The entire panel and even Rex cringed at the sight of the weapon as its appearance itself was intimidating.
''Damn, that looks very scary We have an idea on what that would do to a human body so we're gonna go straight to having you test it out on the armor worn by the Clones.'' DAM said pointing at the test set up.
Marcus nods and gets into position and without saying a word he revs up the chainsaw bayonet and charges straight for the stand in. DAM was appalled at how Marcus didn't wait for him to give the signal leaving the entire panel and Rex to just watched as Marcus let out a loud feral roar as he puts the chainsaw against the armored torso and much to the surprise of Rex the bayonet was sawing its way through the armor like swiss cheese. Marcus continued to saw his way through the armor and torso in a rather bloody and gory spectacle and after a minute or so has passed he sawed the upper part of the torso in half leaving the sawed piece to fall uselessly onto the floor.
''I think I made my point.'' the now blood covered Marcus declared.
Zivon then made his way over to assess the gore.
''Holy fuck, it looks like a train ran this guy over! You literally took that bayonet and sawed him clean through his torso and from what I can see from the wound itself you're sawing through multiple vital structures such as the aorta, lungs and heart and the thing to this is that he isn't instantly dead. He'll be alive and aware of what is going on with him and he'll pretty much watch you saw him in two.''
''Any Clone who gets in our way we're gonna saw them right in half.'' Marcus said.
''That's if you can come close to us with a clunky weapon like that.'' Rex rebutted.
After testing out the melee weapons of these two infantry forces which one does the panel believe take the edge?
''I think we're already decided on this matter. The chainsaw bayonet can slice through the armor of the Clones and the Clones themselves along with it.'' DAM explained.
''Sure you'll have to carry that clunky rifle to use the bayonet but the trauma caused by it is off the charts! I side with the COG Gears on this one.'' Zivon seconded.
''The vibrodagger may be lighter but the chainsaw bayonet's damage potential dwarfs it by a lot so it wins here.'' Demigod added.
''We're unanimous then, edge to the chainsaw bayonet.'' Rice Man concluded.
In melee weapons, the edge goes to the COG Gears for their chainsaw bayonet.
Coming up, both sides bring out their favorite pistols and then later two deadly rifles battle it out.

Clone Troopers, the fearless soldiers of the Galactic Republic who faced and defeated the mighty droid army. COG Gears, humanity's answer to the vicious Locust Horde who fought for the human race's very survival.
When these infantry units needed short range weapons to take out the enemy they came with the best products made available to them. The Clone Troopers bring in the DC-17 Blaster Pistol and for the COG Gears they come in with the standard issue MX8 Snub Pistol.
''The DC-17 Blaster Pistol was a heavy blaster pistol wielded by the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. It weighed 6 pounds and unlike the firearms in your world these do not have bullets but will overheat if fired 10 times non stop.'' Rex explained.
''Very good,'' DAM said before turning to Marcus, ''And you Marcus?''
''For me I bring in the MX8 Snub Pistol which is the standard issued sidearm of the COG Army. It's not the strongest weapon in our arsenal but for years we've trusted this weapon which means it's doing something right. It weighs 5 and a half pounds and has a mag size of 12 and the bullet it uses is called the Kal .50 which is similar to the Action Express bullets in your universe.'' Marcus explained holding the pistol for the panel to see.
''These weapons look like they can do some serious damage and to test out the lethality of your pistols we're gonna have you both test it out in a shooting gallery scenario. Marcus you can go up first.'' DAM explained.
Marcus nodded and got into position.
''Okay Marcus on my go. 3...2...1...Fire!'' DAM shouted out.
The first target came into view and Marcus wasted no time in aiming his weapon and fired 3 shots into the target's torso leaving deep, bleeding holes where the rounds went. The second target, this time wearing the armor of the Clone Troopers came into view and he set his sights on it and fired a 2-round burst into the chest portion of the armor leaving holes where the bullets were with blood seeping out of the wounds. The two targets went out of view and soon they both came back and Marcus emptied the rest of his magazine into them with more bullets going at the armored torso.
Nodding, Marcus lowered his weapon and watched as Zivon made his way over.
''I can tell these bullets your pistol is using is very powerful and it does look like it'll kill. The areas you are hitting are the heart and lungs respectively for the unarmored target and those are kills. The armored target took a few rounds to the chest as well and struck areas like both lungs and the aorta and hitting that sucker will cause instant death and the armor failed horribly against such a powerful round.'' explained the good doctor.
Rex walked over and shook his head in disapproval.
''These are more graphic kills but a kill is a kill. What my blaster pistol can do will make this look like child's play.''
''Think you can do better?'' Demigod asked earning a nod from the Clone.
Rex took his DC-17 and got into position after a new set of targets were set for him and he looked to DAM for the signal.
''On my go Rex, 3...2...1...Fire away!''
Rex aimed at the first target when it came into view and fired 4 shots. One hitting the target in the face and the other hitting it square in the chest leaving charred holes in said locations and waits until the second target comes into view. A few seconds later the armored target comes into view and he fires several shots into the torso hitting the helmet and chest portion of the armor leaving smoking holes where he aimed at before the two targets came back into view he fired a quartet of shots into each target before his weapon overheated.
Zivon then makes his way over to assess the damage.
''From what I'm seeing so far you've hit the targets in areas that will either be an instant kill or a quick kill. You've hit the armored target right in the spleen which loves to bleed but since you're using plasma weapons the heat it generates actually cauterized the wound so he won't be bleeding at all. I can see that the helmet did nothing to protect the wearer either and you've got him right through the eye for an instant kill. The unarmored has his heart and aorta fried too for another kill.''
After comparing two deadly pistols, where do the panelists stand in the end?
''I think I'm calling this one even because even with the subtle differences in the types of rounds they fire they both did so much damage for me so I have to call it even.'' DAM started off.
''I disagree there and give it to the Clones. The Gears need to bring in magazines for more rounds whereas the Clones' pistol recharges itself after each shot plus I found the plasma bolts more damaging and gruesome.'' Zivon countered.
''For me I call it even for the same reasons as DAM. Sure the DC-17 doesn't need magazines but they both can get through the opposing armor with no problems.'' Demigod said.
''I'm with you two as well. Both groups are equally skilled with their sidearm and whoever gets that first shot gets the kill shot. Edge even.'' Rice Man concluded.
In short range weapons, the edge is even.
Coming up, we bring out the favored rifles of these infantry forces and then later two high powered snipers come forth.

When these two infantry forces fought their enemies at long range they relied on the standard issue, and trusted assault rifles bestowed upon them. Up first will be the Clone Troopers with the DC-15A Blaster Rifle.
''The DC-15A Blaster Rifle is the standard issue weapon for the Grand Army of The Republic and it was a weapon that can easily take down battle droids in one shot. It measured 4 feet in length, weighed in at 9 pounds and used tibanna gas cartridges. There were other variants such as the DC-15S which was shorter and the DC-15X sniper variant but the A was the most used one.'' explained Rex.
To test out the performance of the DC-15A, the panel has set up a killhouse filled with 4 targets dawning the COG armor. Rex will have two magazines to complete the test.
''On my mark Rex, 3...2...1...go!'' DAM shouted out.
Rex kicked the door to the killhouse and was immediately greeted by the first target and wasted no time in firing a burst of 3 rounds into the target's chest leaving smoking holes in the armor. Pushing the target out of the way Rex makes his way towards the first room and peeks inside to see no targets but a second later the second target popped out through the open window and the Clone, much like the first target wasted no time and put the target down with 4 shots to the face with 3 hitting the chest and the last hitting the target square in the face.
''He's getting through that smoothly.'' Demigod commented.
With that taken care of Rex continued to make his way through the house and after scanning a few rooms he found nothing but making his way at the end of the hallway he kicks the last door open and was immediately greeted by the last two targets and with great skill the Clone let out rapid bursts of plasma bolts at both targets hitting them square in the chest and face leaving smoking holes much like the previous two targets and the Clone raised his hand.
''I'm done!''
Zivon then entered the killhouse to assess the damage.
''Man, the smell of burnt flesh is worse than smelling lots of spilled blood. Those plasma bolts really are doing worse damage than average bullets because as we've said before you're killing them from bleeding them out with bullets, you're killing them by frying them on the inside! These targets are taking shots in various places such as the lungs, the aorta, the heart and the brain with those headshots which are all fried. They're all dead and the armor is failing them miserably.''
''We've never seen anything like this until this episode and so far we're really impressed with the performance of your plasma weapons.'' DAM commented.
''Yeah well his weapon is really long and to navigate an enclosed space like this with that clunky thing is gonna get him killed. I have a weapon that is shorter and can do the same damage.'' Marcus interjected.
The Gears respond to the DC-15's deadly plasma bolts with their own tried, tested and true assault rifle.
''The Lancer Mark 2 assault rifle was a weapon that was so effective that even the Locust enjoyed using them. It measures 36 inches long, weighs in at 9 pounds, fires the 7.62x51mm cartridge and a magazine size of 50 and shoots in the full auto mode.'' Marcus explained.
''Okay then it is the same test for you Marcus. Your killhouse has been made to look like a Clone Trooper outpost containing 4 inside just waiting to die and they'll be wearing armor.''
Marcus nodded and got into position and looked to DAM for the signal.
''Marcus on my go, 3...2...1...kill em all!'' DAM shouted out.
Marcus literally kicked the door right off the hinges and was greeted to the first target and fired a quick burst into its face destroying the helmet before he moved onward. He then ran toward the first door and smashed his way through it. Seeing the second target he wasted no time in putting multiple rounds in the chest piercing the armor and face before kicking it over amusing the panel and Rex.
''He's aggressive as all hell.'' Zivon commented.
''You have to be when fighting the Locust Horde, just gotta be nastier.'' Rice Man said.
With the target dealt with he makes his way toward the door at the end of the hallway and again kicks the door off the hinges and fires the rest of his magazine into the last two targets in a hail of gun fire while yelling. A few seconds later his weapon finally clicks empty.
Zivon then made his way over to assess the damage.
''Much like with your armor against the DC-15 your weapon is making mincemeat of the clone armor. The size and power of the round shouldn't surprise me though since you also were able to kill them THROUGH the armor. The helmet faired no better than the body armor and you're ripping the faces to shreds. You're hitting them in places like the heart, major arteries and the lungs which will kill the targets instantly or fairly quickly.'' the doctor explained.
''I noticed that he breezed through it faster at 40 seconds compared to Rex with a minute and 12 seconds.'' DAM commented.
''For me it is better to get the job done as fast as possible while being efficient.'' Marcus said.
After testing out these deadly rifles, which ones do our panelists believe takes the edge?
''I think I'm siding with the DC-15 even though it is the longer weapon the plasma bolts frying your insides is what wins me over.'' DAM started off.
''Wrong you imbecile, the DC-15 cannot fire in a full auto mode since it is unstable doing so. The Lancer fires a powerful cartridge that's a least comparable to the DC's plasma bolts and the Clone armor is not protecting them from that.'' Zivon countered.
''I find myself agreeing with Zivon. Sure the DC is more powerful with the plasma bolts but the fully auto nature of the Lancer will keep the Clones pinned down for longer allowing the Gears to overwhelm them. Edge Lancer.'' Demigod seconded.
''I think I agree with the Lancer taking this, the DC is also really long which will make it more cumbersome. I understand the Lancer is thicker and more bulky but the length of the DC is going to weigh the Clones down in the end and make maneuvering in tight spaces a bad time. Edge Lancer.'' Rice Man concluded.
In mid-range weapons, the edge goes to the COG Gears for their Lancer Mark 2 Assault Rifle.
Coming up, these two infantry units bring out their long range snipers for dominance and then later two powerful explosives come forth for a bang!

The Clone Troopers, the Republic's fearless soldiers who defeated the droid army. COG Gears, humanity's answer to the vicious Locust Horde.
Both groups were expert marksmen and relied on deadly accurate and efficient sniper rifles to get the job done. For the Clone Troopers they used the DC-15X and the Gears used the highly accurate Longshot Sniper Rifle.
''The Longshot Sniper Rifle was a high-caliber, single-shot, bolt-action sniper rifle. Created by the Coalition of Ordered Governments during the Pendulum Wars. It fired FMJ rounds and weighed in at 10 pounds and it fires one shot before we had to reload. Sure reloading is a pain in the fucking ass but this can stop a fucking truck.'' Marcus explained.
''Very good, and you Rex?'' DAM asked.
''I bring in the DC-15X, a sniper variant of the DC-15A. As a sniper rifle manufactured for the clone snipers of the Galactic Republic through extensive modifications of the standard-issue DC-15A blaster rifle. It has the same specifications in terms of weight and length as the A variants and has a capacity of 5 shots.'' Rex said holding his weapon for all to see.
To test out the lethality of each weapon the panel has set up a sniper's nest where our experts will perch in overlooking an enemy compound. The targets will represent both Clones and Gears for their respective experts with a counter sniper in the surrounding woods for a total of 5 targets.
''Okay men, Marcus won the coin toss so he'll be up first.'' DAM said.
Marcus took his weapon and climbed up the the nest and took a position and waited for the signal from DAM.
''Alright Marcus, fire away!'' DAM shouted out.
Marcus peered into the scope and scanned the compound and set his sights on the main gate where a single clone stand in was standing guard. Taking a breath he fires off the sniper and takes the target down with a shot through the chest piercing clean through the armor. With his first shot spent he pulled the bolt back and loaded in the next round.
''Aw man, that's gonna get him killed in a real fight.'' Rice Man commented.
After loading his second round he looked into the scope and scanned the compound for more targets and found his second target standing behind a window and fires a round straight through the neck of the clone shattering the window in the process. Loading his third shot he finds the third target sitting in a vehicle and wasted no time in taking it out with a shot to the side of the head splattering blood everywhere in the interior of the vehicle. With his fourth shot he quickly spotted his fourth target and drops it with a shot to the chest before scanning the treeline for the counter sniper. Eventually he spots it perched up behind a boulder and fires a bullet through the scope splattering brain everywhere.
''Time! 2 minutes and 10 seconds.'' DAM called out.
The panel then make their way over to the compound so Zivon can assess the damage.
''I'm seeing well placed shots in each target and they are all kills. The rounds went through the armor like a blowtorch through butter and struck them in lethal places. One of these guys is taking that huge bullet straight through the neck which will destroy everything in the neck like the vertebrae and probably would rip through the jugular or carotid. The counter sniper kill is the most impressive since you sent a bullet straight through the scope, into his eye and exploded the back of his skull for an instant kill. Good work.'' Zivon explained.
''Despite the reload time you still dropped everybody and takes the phrase 'One Shot, One Kill'' to a whole new level.'' Rice Man chuckled.
''Yeah, even with that drawback if you're a good shot it's all that matters.'' Marcus added.
''By the time you fired your first shot a Clone sniper can drop you and all your guys before you get your second one.'' Rex commented, ''Now it's my turn.''
After the panel sets up new targets Rex makes his way up to the sniper's nest and waits for DAM's signal.
''Okay Rex, on my go 3..2..1..open fire!'' DAM called out.
Rex peers into his scope and quickly sets his sights on the treeline where the Gear counter sniper was located and eventually he found it perched in the tree tops and fires a single plasma bolt hitting the target square in the face sending it tumbling to the ground below. Smirking, he then aims at the main gate and drops the Gear standing in with a shot to the chest before scanning the compound. He finds a target sitting on a crate and fires a single shot into the chest knocking it backward before finding the fourth target and shoots it in the head. He then looks around for the final target and finds it standing beside a window. Taking in a deep breath he fires off his final shot hitting the target in the head sending it falling sideways from the blast.
''Done!'' Rex called out.
''Time! 1 minute and 1 second!'' DAM said.
The panel then make their way over to assess the damage.
''The damage I see with your sniper is comparable to the wounds your pistol and blaster rifle make and that is scorched and fried insides. The COG armor failed again and you're hitting them in places like the heart, lungs and brains and as I've said a few times before, you're frying those organs for instant kills and you did the same amount of damage in less time.'' explained Zivon.
''Compared to the Gears, we have more shots and we'll drop more of them.'' Rex chuckled.
''Shut the fuck up bitch.'' Marcus growled.
After testing out these two deadly accurate snipers which one does the panel believe takes the edge?
''I like the longshot for being way more accurate and powerful but the reload after every shot crap kills it for me so I give it to the Clones.'' DAM started off.
''The longshot may fire more powerful shots and pierce clean through the Clones' armor, the DC-15X has more shots meaning more kills and the fried internal organs just scares me a lot more.'' Zivon seconded.
''It's simple, the X allows more shots meaning more kills and less reloads.'' Demigod added.
''The Gears are going to suffer more casualties in the long range game with the one shot scenario. The Clones will be dropping more of them every time the Gears miss but I doubt that since the former are amazing shots with their sniper. It may even out in that sense but more rounds wins it this time so the X gets it.'' Rice Man concluded.
In long range weapons, the edge goes to the Clone Troopers for their DC-15X Sniper Rifle.
Coming up, two powerful explosives blow the competition away and then finally our battle between fearless infantry soldiers begin!

Now the time has come for both sides to bring out their explosives. Up first will be the Clone Troopers with the highly powerful thermal detonator.
''The thermal detonator was a powerful explosive used throughout the galaxy by military personnel, criminals and bounty hunters alike. It was a nuclear fusion explosive that weighed 2 pounds with a blast radius of 6 meters. The thing about this is that it can be turned off by the user making is great for carrying around without worry.'' Rex explained.
''We've seem plenty of explosives before but let's see what that little sphere can do. Here we've set up an COG army cargo truck filled with Gears.'' DAM said pointing toward the vehicle.
''Perfect.'' Rex said with a smirk as he jogs over.
The Clone Trooper presses the red button on the device and hurls it through the back of the truck where the armored stand ins were sitting and quickly runs away to join the panel and Marcus behind a Plexiglas barrier. After a few seconds of waiting the detonator detonates and the entire truck was destroyed in one thunderous blast that rocked the whole area.
''Holy dick!'' DAM called out.
The explosion and fires die down and the panel then make their way over to assess the damage.
''Mother crap, I've never seen an explosion that big from a grenade type weapon. It was so powerful that if blew the truck up to pieces and completely incinerated and vaporized every Gear on the truck including the driver! There's pieces of the stand ins all over the place there's no doubt in my mind you killed everything here.'' Zivon explained.
''Bah this ain't shit because what I have will do the same amount of damage plus it can act as a proximity mine too.'' Marcus interjected.
The Gears respond to the thermal detonator with their grenade on a chain, the bolo.
''The bolo grenade is the standard issue explosive among our infantry units and is designed like a flail. It weighs 1 and a half pounds with a blast radius of 10 meters. Another use of this was to 'tag' enemies with it creating a term among the Gears called 'frag tag'. It can also function as a mine when you plant it against any surface area.'' Marcus explained holding the grenade for the panel to see.
''It's the same test for you Marcus. Here we have a squad of 10 clones on patrol and we want to see what you can do.'' DAM said.
Marcus nodded and got into position and looked to DAM for the signal.
''On 3...2...1...throw it!" shouted DAM.
Marcus stood up from his cover and primes to the grenade before he began to twirl the bolo grenade for several seconds before letting it fly. The weapon spun graciously in the air before landing in the middle of the clone squad and after several seconds the grenade detonates and sends the clone stand ins flying in multiple directions.
''Damn that's nasty!'' Demigod exclaimed.
''Goddamn, your grenade tore through the entire group! The armor failed and I see some shrapnel piercing through enough to kill and if that doesn't kill them the concussive force of the grenade would kill those closest to the grenade 10 for 10 excellent work.'' Zivon explained as he finished checking the stand ins.
''Another win for the Gears, we're gonna massacre these Clones like the drones.'' Marcus grumbled.
After testing out the power and lethality of these grenades where do the panelists stand?
''I'm siding with the bolo grenade because it is much more versatile. You can throw it, plant it on a wall as a mine and the best part, frag tag an opponent.'' DAM started off.
''I disagree and go with the thermal detonator, it's much more simple to use and while options are great the overcomplicated methods of frag tagging someone will get you killed if they are aware you're there. Edge thermal detonator.'' Zivon countered.
''Hm yeah, I agree with Zivon. The thermal detonator just needs to be thrown whereas the bolo needs momentum to get anywhere. I side with the detonator.'' Demigod added.
''I like the frag tag and proximity mine function but the thermal detonator is simple. Toss and kill, the bolo grenade being twirled will get the thrower killed before they can toss it so I give the former my edge.'' Rice Man concluded.
In explosive weapons, the edge goes to the Clone Troopers for their thermal detonator.

Welcome back to the fight club, here we tested out weapons between two of the future's premiere infantry units to determine who is deadliest.
For melee weapons, the brutality of the chainsaw mutilated the vibrodagger.
''It's more destructive and will catch the Clones by surprise. Such an intimidating weapon.'' DAM explained.
Edge: COG Gears
For short range weapons, the DC-17 Blaster Pistol and MX8 Snub Pistol were determined as equals.
''Both cause great damage based on the type of ammo they use and performed similar in the test. It comes down to the man behind the weapon.'' Zivon explained.
Edge: Even
For mid-range weapons, the automatic firing mode of the Lancer outshot the DC-15A's plasma bolts.
''The DC-15A is too long in most cases and if this gets to close quarters the Gears have a shorter weapon with a hidden surprise.'' Demigod explained.
Edge: COG Gears
For long range weapons, the larger ammo capacity of the DC-15X outperformed the accurate oneshot Longshot sniper rifle.
''The longshot needs to reload after every shot which is gonna kill the Gears. The X doesn't have that problem and fires plasma bolts just as powerful as the longshot's rounds.'' Rice Man explained.

And finally for explosives, the simplicity of the thermal detonator proved more useful than the bolo grenade.
''The bolo needs momentum to go places but the thermal detonator you just throw it and you're good. Plus the explosion seemed more powerful.'' DAM explained.

And now our resident computer wizz Metal Harbinger will gauge the x-factors.
''Let's get this metal thrashing mad!" said the metalhead.
''First and foremost I have training and it took me a few minutes to decide the winner but ultimately I went with the Clones. Simply put they are literal Clones of Jango Fett meaning they have his skills in weapons. The Gears are well trained but aren't genetically clones of a bounty hunter who can fight Jedi. Edge 95 to a 92.''
''For operational experience this one was a draw because the Clones have fought throughout the galaxy meaning they'll be in different environments but the Gears have fought in different places too from beaches, urban areas and snowy terrain in that one mission in Gears Of War 2. Both scored a 90.''
''For tenacity the Gears take it this time because they had to fight such a merciless and brutal enemy in the Locust Horde which means they had to be determined to defeat them at all costs for humanity's survival so they got a 94 to the Clones' 80.''
''Next is dominance and this was even because when the odds were in their favor both sides can dominate the droid army and Locust Horde and take complete control of the battlefield despite the numerous casualties they each suffered. Both have an 89.''
''Last but not least we have audacity and this went to the Gears because they freaking took the fight to the Locust Horde's home in the Hollow! Not only did they do that but they won in the end. Gears got a 96 to the Clones' 90.''
With the weapons and x-factors finished Metal Harbinger will input the data and run the simulator one-thousand times pitting 5 Clone Troopers against 5 COG Gears.

''In the end, only one side wins this war. Let's see who it is.'' Metal said hitting the button.

It was a calm overcast day on the planet of Sera as the evening arrived and we are taken to an abandoned factory on the outskirts of a small town. After landing their shuttle on the planet and setting up a small outpost in the abandoned factory 5 men clad in white armor and helmets were seen around a table with a map of the surrounding area.
These were Clone Troopers who were sent on a scouting mission in hopes of eradicating any remnants of the CIS and claim another victory for the Republic.
Clone Troopers: 5
''So from here we will venture into the woods and head toward the small town further south and clean up any CIS forces here. Let's get ready to move troops.'' the lead clone said.
''Yes sir.'' his men said as they began to gather their weapons ready to head further south.
Nearby in the surrounding trees a COG Army cargo truck was seen driving up to the factory. Sitting in the back were 4 COG Gears armed to the teeth with Lancers, pistols and grenades whereas the driver was armed with a longshot sniper rifle. Recent reports from the higher ups have picked up strange activity in the area of the factory and they were dispatched to see if any remnant Locust forces were in the area.
COG Gears: 5
After several minutes of driving the truck parked in the trees near the factory all the Gears disembark from the truck and loaded their weapons ready for combat. The lead Gear gets his men into a huddle.
''Okay, we're here to scout this place and see if there are any Locust here, call for backup then clean up got it?'' he asked earning a resounding yes from his men.
He then orders his men to advance on the factory as he takes up position on an unattended sniper's nest perched up in a tree and peers into the scope and watches his men head toward the factory. He immediately spots the transport ship the Clones used and radioed the info to his men. Just as they received the info the Gears were already taking positions near the Clones as they continued to gather their equipment and were ordered to hold the position.
The lead Gear sets his sights on a Clone armed with a DC-15A and fires a round piercing through the visor blowing his brains out.
Clone Troopers: 4 - COG Gears: 5
The sound of the shot alerted the rest of the Clones and before they can get their bearings the barking of machine gun fire filled the air forcing them all to take cover.
''Damn! Hostile contacts!'' shouted a Clone as he peeked behind cover to open fire with his DC-15A.
One of the Clones had went up to a second story window during the chaos armed with his DC-15X and looks into the scope to where the Gears were positioned. He sets his sights on a Gear that was prepping a bolo grenade and when the man stood up to begin twirl the explosive he fires two shots into the man hitting him once in the chest and face killing him.
Clone Troopers: 4 - COG Gears: 4
Seeing one of his comrades drop dead with the grenade still in hand a Gear reacts quickly and picks up the grenade and half twirls it toward the Clones. However, since the grenade was already primed and ready a Clone wasn't able to react in time as it landed right behind him and it detonates sending him flying forward a shredded bloody mess.
Clone Troopers: 3 - COG Gears: 4
One of the Clones takes his DC-15A and goes to sneak around the perimeter in hopes of catching the Gears by surprise. He sneaks into the trees and thankfully his remaining comrade and captain were occupying the Gears. Taking cover behind a tree he mounts it and aims his blaster rifle at the Gears and fires off several bursts dropping a Gear who was hit twice in the back of the head.
His body falling over with a thud.
Clone Troopers: 3 - COG Gears: 3
Hearing the sounds of the blaster from behind them the two Gears turn around and aim their Lancers at the Clone and peppered him mercilessly with rounds that practically tore a chunk of the armor from his chest revealing the peppered and bleeding injuries from underneath as he falls over dead and a huge pool of blood forms under his corpse staining the dirt red.
Clone Troopers: 2 - COG Gears: 3
The Clone sniper radios his captain to fall back so they can regroup and counterattack and receiving the call the Clone leader withdrew from his position and headed into the factory. The Gears watched as the lead Clone ran away and tried to gun him down but missed their shots forcing them to go for a reload. The COG sniper gets off from his nest and makes his way over to join his comrades with his Snub pistol in hand.
''Let's go after them. They could be troops from the UIR.'' said the Gear.
The Gears then began to make their way over to the factory and walk up to the front door. One of the Gears then opens the door and before he could proceed to clear the room a thermal detonator lands at his feet. Looking down at the sound the Gears sees the explosive but wasn't able to react in time and is blown to pieces.
Clone Troopers: 2 - COG Gears: 2
The force of the explosion was enough to send the last two Gears falling on their butts and knowing they lost another man they couldn't let that bother them. They were to complete their mission and take out the last clones. The lead Gear helps his colleague up and together they enter the factory only to find it empty. The lead Gear scoops up his fallen comrade's Lancer and together they advance through the building.
They make their way around many machines and conveyor belts and when they arrived at the other side of the room a door opens and one of the clones pop out with his DC-15A and opens fire on the Gears. They were both forced behind cover and the Gear second in command takes his Lancer and looks at the lead Gear. The former nods and knowing what he was planning the lead Gear then takes several pieces of debris off the floor and hurls them at the clone.
The clone is struck in the head with a rock stunning him but he shakes it off and before he can raise his long rifle the weapon was knocked out of his hand and his life came to an end when the Gear takes his chainsaw bayonet and swings it downward onto his shoulder. The clone was soon sawed diagonally in half in a very gory spectacle as blood sprayed everywhere.

The blood covered Gear shook some of the gore off of him as his captain came to join him and together they both advance down the hallway which was now covered in clone bits. They then reach a control room and find a radio on the desk. The lead Gear tries to use it but was greeted by static and he shakes his head in annoyance.
''We got to find the last one and take him out.'' said the Gear.
Just then the sound of a door opening filled the air and both men jump at the noise only so see a metal bucket rolling into the room from the door. The Gear captain ordered his man to check out the room just in case as he attempted to radio for help once more. Taking his Lancer he makes his way into the room and finds an empty office space. He hears a noise from the closet at the end of the wall and goes to check it out with his chainsaw bayonet revved and ready.
He quickly opens the door and was taken by surprise when the final clone leaped out and knocked the Lancer from his grip and quickly kicked him to the floor. Taking out his vibrodagger he brings it down onto the Gear but he manages to catch the weapon just above the visor to his eye and both men struggle for control of the weapon. The Clone uses all of his strength and jolts his entire body forward putting all his weight into the attack and overwhelms the Gear sending the knife plunging through his visor right into his eye.

Slowly getting up the Clone takes a minute to catch his breath but the commotion did not go unnoticed by the last Gear who barges into the room and opens fire with his snub pistol. A stray round hits the clone in the side but thankfully it was a graze. The pain was still enough to send him reeling to the ground and the Gear went to finish him off but his gun clicked empty.
Taking his chance the clone threw his vibrodagger at the man's chest but the armor causes the blade to bounce off harmlessly. With his weapon loaded he aims at the door the clone ran out of only hitting the door itself in the process. Growling in anger the Gear gives chase and the door takes him to a catwalk. Looking at the ground below he saw the clone running through the yard and he gives chase. The Gear makes his way through the crate filled yard with his snub pistol ready to take out the clone in a moment's notice and hears footsteps behind him.
Turning around he fires a shot at a threat he thought was behind only to be greeted with silence. Thinking nothing of it he continues through the yard and from behind a container in front of him was the remaining clone with his DC-17 blaster pistol at the ready. The clone waits for the man and just as the Gear's arm and pistol appeared from around the corner the clone quickly reaches for the weapon and shoves his arm downward causing the Gear to shoot out of reflex.
Like with the Gear before the clone found himself wrestling for control of the situation and both men were trying their hardest to aim their respective pistols at their enemy's face. Taking the initiative the Gear headbutts the clone with enough force to break off a portion of his visor. The clone was reeling from the force of the hit and looks up to see the barrel of the snub pointed at his face.
With lightning fast reflexes the clone ducks downward just as the snub goes off but the Gear anticipated the move and kicks the clone in the chest knocking the wind out of him. The Gear kicks him again sending him falling on his face. The Gear then goes to finish the fight and stands tall over the man and aims his snub pistol at the clone's exposed eye. Before the Gear can fire the clone takes his blaster pistol and quickly fires two plasma bolts into the Gear's face.
The Gear's head jerks upward from the shots and he stood there for a second before he falls back. The clone slowly sits up and notices the two smoldering holes in the mouth portion of the Gear's helmet.
He was dead.

Catching his breath, the clone gets back on his feet and takes one last look at the fallen Gear. He then raises his blaster pistol into the air and shouts; ''FOR THE REPUBLIC!''

Following a close but brutal battle between the future's greatest infantry soldiers it would be the Clone Troopers who rose from the ashes with over 53.1% of the wins versus the Gears with 46.9%. It was thanks to the slowly recharging plasma weapons and DC-15X that carried them to victory.
''The Gears were incredibly brutal to the Locust Horde but they came up short because their bolo grenade needed to be twirled before they can send it downrange and their single shot longshot sniper rifle ultimately costed them the match.'' DAM commented.
''In the end the Clones were better trained and better armed for this fight. The Gears however proved to be serious threats with weapons like the Lancer in fully automatic and the nasty chainsaw but it just wasn't enough.'' Zivon added.
''I knew it was gonna be a tough fight but in the end the powerful plasma weaponry of the Clones is what got them victory. The Gears only real advantage was the chainsaw and Lancer.'' Demigod said.
''The Gears matched the Clones with their pistols but when it came down to it, if your grenade needs to be spun around and your sniper needs to be reloaded after every shot it will matter in the end. This win goes to the Boys In White.'' Rice Man concluded.
''This is bullshit, there's no way we'd lose to these Clone sissies.'' Marcus growled in anger.
''I am glad we won in the end and I'm sure the Gears could take on the droids but when you put them against us we're the deadliest warriors.'' Rex proudly declared.
(The surviving Clone leader was seen standing near his shuttle from the beginning of the battle. Hearing a noise from above he looks up to see more transport shuttles descending onto his location. The invasion of Sera has now begun.)
