Hey thank you all for reading the first arc of kitsune of the leaf! This is my first fanfic so I still little nervous posting it! I want to say my thanks to ll the readers out there and a special thanks those who review and leave a comment on my chapters.

Before I get ahead of myself I did edit some things in previous chapters nothing major though, just minor edits I made for the story;

1 chapter 3: Rumiko's description
"blonde haired fox girl" to "orange haired fox girl" Rumiko's design/description along with all the other yokai weren't finalized yet. But when Rumiko's was I changed her hair color.

2 chapter 3: Tanjiro's magic
"Fire and lightning" to "wind and lightning" oni are already known for both fire and lightning (and while Akira will use more than just that those are her main two) so I wanted tanjiro to know some different magics to make him more unique.

3 all chapters: cleaning up dialogue and some errors

Last time I mentioned that this series was supposed to be a crossover. I gave hints as to what series it was but no-one guessed what it was or any series at all T_T.

The series was the touhou project series! The series was going to be completely different at first. When I first started planning this fic out it was going to be heavily based on one of the fics that got me into reading naruto neglected fics "The Dragon Container" by the user NarHina. But as I was planning it out two things happened
1 ) I realized that crossover would work better without the neglect part as each distracted from the other.

2 ) they way I planed it (naruto having both Ran and Yukari Yakamo sealed inside him, him slowly becoming a kitsune while also getting Yukari's powers to control boundaries like Gaara has his sand) meant naruto would molly-wop Menma even with a full 1 tail cloak. (and in both "The Dragon Container" and my original story Naruto had a toxic rivalry with his brother)

I might do an omake or something with what the original story was when I finish both stories (this one and the touhou crossover) because I still have some ideas on how that story would go that I like. But it would not be a whole fic more like a bunch of snapshots into that universe.

Its funny how different my story is now compared to when i started to plan things out, Menma and Mito are completely different, (and less relevant, sadly but that will change soon) the yokai are all original and the plot is almost unrecognizable to what it was going to be.

Thank you! Remember Minato and Kushina aren't themselves right now, their thought process is being constantly subverted by Danzo's curse. I agree they didn't do right by Naruto, but it's not something they would do in the right state of mind. they will make it u to him in the future.

Well, honestly, Jiraiya or Tsunade could have jumped in there, too. But they didn't either. At least coming from Naruto, everyone will see how unified the family supposedly is.

Actually tsunade and her brother didn't go to the festival. Naruto menma and mito had to leave the festival to find her and Nawaki to give him the candied apple. thats how naruto got sepperated from them when he stayed back with her. But Jiraiya, well he could've but maybe he didn't want to…(Im not good at being coy Im sorry.)

Oh? kinda surprised they were able to handle taking down Danzo so soon. Akira really is very good.

Akira had a lot working in her favor:
Danzo has never encountered magic, let alone yoki magic. There are things she did like the clones using dead bodies that Danzo never could have expected. How could he know reports were stolen when they were duplicated? Why would he even think they were when there was no way for him to sense the magic used? As far as he knew everything was in order.

Danzo was distracted by the Uchiha rebellion to worry about his supposed brainwashed troops. An upcoming civil war takes enough time away from noticing his troops acting a little weird. Especially if the most well ajusted one of them was Sai

Danzo was careless. Both in my story and in the anime + manga he never realized Sai was 'compromised' until the five kage summit. never realized kabuto betrayed him and the leaf until he Orochimaru's invasion. He never cared to check his troops, so now Akira kinda just waltzed in and started undermining him like he did to everyone else.

Danzo never trained anyone other than Yamato personally, so when Akira and Umi's clones started teaching the kids they were easy to turn into the biniru clan's personal fighting force.

Danzo though he was untouchable. And for the most part he was but only because his opponents were too nice. He was the only one who cheated in the politics game before so it blindsided him when Akira just said 'fuck it' and cheated back.

Good, Danzo deserves no opportunity to slip away, just like Orochimaru.
I wanted Danzo to be dealt with early on in this story. I think he is a good villain and want to explore him further in other stories but his M.O. just didn't fit anything other than a catalyst for Naruto's neglect. Also I kinda get tired of the trope of Danzo doing something blatantly treasonous but being save by the elders/ the council/ no evidence that anime filler started. So it was cathartic to just give him no escape.

Not sure how or where this plot is going. I re-read it twice, still can't see where will it lead. The way Naruto was neglected is cooler than other ones. Sad story, but hope u continue. Also hope if Naruto finally forgives after knowing why his life became that way.
and here I thought I was too blatant with my foreshadowing haha. With both danzo and the curse mark gone Naruto's relationship with his parents will be changing soon. Thanks for the complements! the fact that you re read it twice astounds me. :) and don't worry I'm still continuing this just want to focus on school, work and stuff as well!

Heres a question for you guys please respond if you can: Im changing this series to a monthly release because my life is super hectic between work college and other stuff would you guys like me to release another story alongside this one? It would be the Naruto x touhou crossover I talked about earlier. I have a few chapters drafted but haven't touched it since, so its not going to be released right away. Tell me your thoughts and thanks guys!
