Hello, everybody and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last episode, Ash and his friends entered a PokeRinger competition, where Ash's Taillow ended up evolving into a Swellow, earning Ash the victory, in his first time doing it! Anyways, we are nearing Fortree City and the sixth gym badge, but first we have a major confrontation with the evil teams, as well as another evolution for one of our protagonists! Who will it be? Well, let's find out!

Subject: The Weather Institute

Hey there, Misty. We are almost at Fortree City. I am here at the Weather Institute after an encounter with Team Aqua. It was quite the experience, especially since the attack was so sudden. They wanted to get some data on Legendary Pokemon that was supposedly held at the Weather Institute, as well as a Pokemon held there known as Castform. We used all of our strength to try and keep the information out of Team Aqua's hands, with me even using an old trick from Team Rocket's book by having Torkoal's smoke blind the grunts so I could get away. One of the people working at the Weather Institute, a woman named Millie, helped out by having her Ditto pose as a Castform. The good news is that we were able to get the information of the legendary Pokemon out of the hands of Team Aqua. The bad news? Well, it ended up in the hands of Team MAGMA, as "Millie" actually turned out to be a spy for Team Magma known as Brodie, who was a master of disguise. He ended up getting away with all of the data, resulting in the REAL Millie having to enter in all the information by hand. It really seems we cannot catch a break with Teams Magma and Aqua… Anyways, a lot has happened since we last talked. A few days after the PokeRinger competition, we ended up in a rain storm and seeked shelter in a mansion where Max ended up befriending a Shuppet before reuniting it with its original trainer. And a few days ago, we ended up having a run in with some very angry Shroomish and Breloom who attacked us just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. At least we got something good out of it, as May's Torchic ended up evolving into Combusken. Anyways, Fortree City is very close, so I should be there the next time we talk. Can't wait!

Hey Ash! Glad to hear that you are almost to Fortree City! I just looked up what a Combusken looked like, and it honestly looks like a cool Pokemon. Can't wait to see how it helps May out in her next Pokemon contest. As for what happened with Team Aqua today, yeah, that sounded pretty chaotic. I have no idea what they want to do with the research, but they definitely wanted to use it for evil. And the fact that you inadvertently helped Team Magma get the information… That was very unlucky of you. I probably would have never guessed that "Millie" was actually a master of disguise of the opposite gender. The only way I would have guessed it is if Brock's lady senses weren't tingling. Anyways, good luck in your upcoming gym battle, Ash!
