Finnick walked into the factory after a long previous day, but it was still extremely early in the morning. He was tired and upset but he wanted to make sure that his only friend he ever made, his only positive social contact that he ever made outside of this world of crime, hate and death. Just like Judy was Nick's beacon of hope, Nick was Finnick's, he just never shown it. Finnick knew that it was Nick's birthday yesterday but also knew he had some things to deal with. He started his early day on the request of his boss. He moved over to his boss's office and knocked on the door. " Come on in" was all he heard after a few seconds. He complied ,knowing who said it. He walked inside, seeing Victor but also another mammal, one he didn't expect. The mammal that was there was a black vixen, one in a lovely sparkling red dress and black high heels. She wore rose red lipstick that matched her dress. Her eyes sparkled a nice topaz. She looked like she was ready for a high end venue, but Finnick was currently wearing a four-piece suit ,which practically matched the high class appearance.

"Hey, boss what's going on now?"

"As you noticed, we have a different mammal in here, Her name is 'Popper'. Not exactly a threatening name but sometimes simple is more effective. Easier to remember such a name and it could be seen as a surname. She reminds me of you a lot, you two will get along very well. You will accompany her to take out another target." Finnick was a bit shook up by that but nodded. He proceeded to leave and catch up with the vixen named 'Popper'. "Hey Zero, you don't have to."

"This could help me find out more stuff." Fenrir rolled his eyes, the fennec cared more about justice than his own moral compass.

"Whatever floats your boat, old friend. Just don't lose yourself in all of this." the fennec nodded. He then followed the vixen that just left. He checked his holster to make sure his sidearm was there. As he expected , it was, suppressor and all. He then checked his other pocket , where he felt what used to be an excuse but is now a curse, permanently bound yo his soul as a stain. A reminder that he will never be clean and if he were to die, it would be deserved. No-one would be able to disagree with that simple fact. He pulled it out and stared at the eyes of the skull, hollow and black, consumed by darkness. He just saw himself there, his younger self. Devoid of feeling, consumed by the corruption of power and ill-will. He exhaled sharply and stuffed it back in his pocket, along with his conscience. He continued down the corridor and walked through the atrium , where 'popper' was waiting unwillingly for her new partner.

"You done?"

"Wow, and I thought I was impatient." The fennec responded hastily. 'Popper' smiled at the response.

"Maybe, it won't be that boring."

"Yeah, but you will have to fill me in on what is going on."

"We have all day to assassinate a high profile target."

"More detail?"

"Former Mayor Lionheart."

Finnick was stunned by that piece of information, he was just proven innocent and released. "Really? Already? Isn't he having a bunch of press conferences today, you know about all the complications to try and clear his name?"

"Yeah, and we need to scratch it off." She really put on the tough mammal act but Finnick saw clearly through it. The two left the building.

"So, you have a sniper?"

"Yeah, don't worry. You'll have the binoculars."

"Cool." The two headed towards somewhere. "What sniper do you have?"

"An FN Ballistapir. Gets the job the done." The vixen was proud of the weapon she had in possession.

"Well then, let's get this done. Where are we going?"

"I have a nice car."

"I see it, too flashy, draws too much attention."

"You got a better idea?" Finnick just points to his van. "Fuck." The vixen muttered under her breath.

"Hidden in plain sight. It's perfect."

"It looks like it came from a junkyard."

"HEY, it's vintage not trash."

"Really? How 'vintage'?"

"30 years." That shut the vixen up. She just shrugged and then pointed towards the van. "Go get your sniper first. Would hate to not be able to shoot him from a range."

"We are to kill him publicly remember. So fire at him as he is doing one of his speeches. But just as we take the shot, press enter on this laptop." 'Popper' retrieved her tools for the job and waited by the door of the van.

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah, lets get this over with." The two got in and Finnick started to drive off. The road was quite empty and there was little mammals walking on the pavements. Some shops started to open up now to prepare for later. "It's early isn't it."

"I'd assume we are sneaking in before the businesses open."

"Yeah, go to the mammanimation inc. building."

"Got it, so we are killing him almost instantly."

"Yup." She paused for a second. "I don't want to sound patronising but when told I was going to work with not only a highly skilled assassin but also a fox, I ..."

"Expected someone bigger?"

"Yeah, no offence."

"None taken, you are one of the few that tried to put it nicely so thanks ...I guess."

"So, how did you get … involved?"

"Well, 30 years ago I needed money, so actually I started as a mule but most didn't expect that from me due to my size."

"Makes sense."

"Anyways , many complications have occurred many times over and over again. This caused me to be either beaten , threatened or robbed. So I decided fuck that one day and fought back. Pulled a pipe out of a wall and beat a guy half to death. Needed an outside breathing apparatus after I was done. After I did that , I was 'promoted' so I did harder jobs and harder and harder, until some prick tried to stick me up with his scary gun."

"What did you do?"

"Short story, ripped it out of his paw and shot him in the head. I was filled with so much rage at that time that I didn't care, I used it as an outlet. Then they found me so I became a law so to say. I was so good, I was given my own team and did many dirty jobs. Most of them are dead. They all deserved it. Fucking idiots. What about you? How did you join?"

"I guess it's only fair."

"Damn right it is."

"You could be nicer, you know." the vixen then huffed after finishing her sentence.

"Yeah , but I'm just tired at everything, all the bullshit this world has given me."

"True , and actually my story started somewhat like yours, needed money but instead I robbed mammals, never the poor always the better off. One day , I robbed some mammal I quickly regretted. A raccoon actually."

"No, you didn't." Finnick turned and stared at the fox beside him. 'That is very brave, wow' She just smiled and blushed but it was hidden by the heavy black fur she wore.

"Yeah, I did. Well, after that, he sent what I later found out to be the most elite team he had. They tried to kidnap me for reasons I still don't know and don't want to. Anyways, they tracked me down and then we had a huge fight, a scrap but I was much smarter than all of them and so I butchered those fuckers. What they said was, wait until their boss comes. Some 'Scorcher' guy."

"No fucking way." the fennec laughed at that. "That's a great fucking start for us."

"I don't get it."

"I need to know, what's your opinion on Fenrir?"

"I don't know, kind ,charismatic ,strict, good leader, disrespected, capable fighter, could beat me maybe. Why?" Finnick smiled for a second and 'Popper' quickly pieced it together. "Wait , how do you know?"

"So , what am I called?"

"Zero. Why do you ask?"

"Do you recognise it?"

"Faintly, a capable assassin , probably the best there ever was, led a team of misfit elites but that guy was 'retired'" She used quotation marks for that last word.

"Yeah, and was pulled out of retirement. " He scowled as he said that.

"Oh shit so he wasn't ki- no fucking way." She paused for a second and recollected herself. "I should introduce myself properly, Elizabeth no last name, but I'm known as 'Popper'. I'm a huge fan , you were a massive inspiration for what I do."

"Pleased to meet you Ellie, is it okay if I call you that? Of course except on mission."

"Y-yeah, totally." 'Play it cool, Liz, play it cool he's just another mammal.' She could barely contain her excitement. "Wanna shoot the sniper?"

"Nah, I'll let you enjoy it, besides, my gun is right behind you." Ellie turned around and saw a F.U.R.5 sitting on the floor.

"That's yours? Holy shit, this is so much better than I expected."

"please don't squeal." He muttered lightly as they passed the border into Savannah Central. "We're almost there."

"So, any interesting stories?"

"Maybe when we have more time. But right now, no. Also please don't call me Zero or sir. I'm called Finnick and we are equals here."

"But you're a leg-" Finnick turned and stared at his companion. "Understood , Finnick."

"Thank you... We're here." He parked the van after turning into a moderately sized alley. "lets go." Finnick and Ellie both climbed out and Ellie picked a lock to one of the doors. Ellie then checked her watch.

"Get in, we are on a short time frame. 20 minutes to reach at least the 10th floor, system restart. Everyday, 6.30 to 7. It's 6.40." When she said that the two started running up the stairs as quickly as they could. Although about 2 floors in, with about 10 minutes left Ellie offered something. "Do you want me to carry you, not to hurt your pride but because we don't have long and although yes, you can climb them we-"

"I get it and..." the fennec frowned but relented "...yes" The vixen scooped the small fox up and sprinted as fast as she could up the stairs. 'Holy shit, I'm carrying the Zero. Oh my word, this is incredible.' "What ever you're thinking stop and don't get used to this, I just don't want to compromise us." He stated grumpily.

"I know, and well, thank you for swallowing your pride." 'He is soooo cute like this. Hehe.' She smiled lightly but refused to let Zero see it. He would be so pissed if he knew what she was thinking.

She finally reached the 10th floor with 20 seconds left to spare. "We were cutting it extremely close." The vixen declared, the fennec agreed but had little control over it, his short legs didn't help his situation in such matters. Now they could go up their own time as they had 2 hours before the press interview. "By the way, these floors are still under construction so there is no security here. I know you didn't ask but I thought I should explain." She put the fennec down and let him walk on his own.

"That never happened." The fennec stated grumpily.

"Of course, of course but you are just sooo cute when you are grumpy." That somehow pissed the fennec so much he gave up being annoyed.

He just responded defeated "Lets just go."

"Want me to carry the rest of the way, like the legend you are?"

"NO" He yelled back. The vixen chuckled at that. She loved how easy it was to push all the right buttons with him. But she only saw it as friendly banter. He genuinely felt patronised by that . He stormed on forward and the vixen followed shortly after.

"So what was your favourite mission?"

"Call this a scapegoat or uninteresting or whatever, but I dislike all my missions equally as much. That is the honest truth."

"I would press you but I understand that. Remember how I said that I've been recruited after killing your former group, yeah, I was then kitnapped and forced to join. I gave in quite quickly and found no way or reason to escape. So from one assassin to another, I understand."

Finnick heard all of that and felt better, calmer. "Thank you." That was all he could think of saying at that very moment. He was happy to finally have someone who understood him and what he was thinking, the only mammal who could feel what he did for the same reason. "What are we gonna do when we reach our location to kill the time?"

"Up to you, we could play Eye Spy or Rock, Paper, Scissors or just sit on our phones."

"How good are you at card games?"

"Hmm, what?"

"I usually carry around a deck for shits and gigs after some of the hustles I've pulled, it's just force of habit now." The fennec stated while presenting his deck of cards. They were mostly a standard deck of cards with the usual design but the back had a golden tinge, giving it a professional vibe. "If you don't know any games or tricks I can teach you, we have a few hours after all.

"Sounds fun, I'm willing to do that. But what would we be playing?"

"BlackJack, Poker, maybe clash and go fish. But I could also teach you some tricks." Finnick answered. "Or we could build a house of cards."

"Why would we build one if we are already planning on breaking one?"

"Oh my , a political joke? I can't believe it. Who's the mayor now even ? I forgot."

"Oh, it's that fucking zebra. Call her Stripes but her name is I think Debra Znitters. She's actually good, trying to introduce equal rights and shit but we are here. Think I voted for her as well. The assistant mayor is the interesting one, a boar named Boris Goldson. They are really polarising characters to be honest."

"What do you expect from someone named stripes?"

"Fair enough, also Boris ain't the smartest individual," The two reach the 17th floor, which was the last somewhat built floor. The walked through the construction areas, where metal gerders linked the ground and the wall at regular intervals. If you really wanted to study the area, you would be able to tell where walls are meant to be placed and where you would be able to go normally. However, the two didn't care for that, they reached the position that was considered optimum for their job. It was on the west side and it had overwatch on a lot of sights. "The press interview will be over there. Lionheart will be standing at the top. We will give him a few sentences then bang." Ellie pulled out a laptop from a bag she was carrying. "Remember to press enter everything is already done."

Finnick looked at what is there on the laptop. "You wrote all this code?"

"Yeah, I know a thing or two about sql and html. Taken me about a day to crank out."

"Wow, I'm impressed. I wouldn't be able to do any of this." Finnick was genuinely shocked at what he was looking at. The programme that was written was extremely extensive and detailed. "What does this do?" Ellie was placing her rifle and setting it up.

"It relays a signal to a prerecorded video that someone else has done. It will hijack every tv signal and every virtual billboard. It will then be played out loud to everyone." Ellie adjusted her sight to make sure it is perfect for the distance. Finnick noticed and did the same with his binoculars. "So we are now ready to take the shot , right?"

"Yeah, we are ready." Finnick sighed, when he said that. He was hesitant on following through with the execution. He put his paw in his pocket and held the badge for a few seconds. While doing this, he closed his eyes and exhaled slowly while counting to 10. This slowed his elevated heart rate down and calmed him down. "I'm ready." He put the laptop down and pulled out his deck of cards. "So what are we starting with?"

"Poker, I actually know how to play that somewhat."

2 hours later.

"Go fish. Do you have Aces?"

"Ugh, Finn, how are you so good. Yeah I got two."

"Hah, that's another set."

"I'm done." The black vixen checked her watch. "Oh shit, we gotta get ready. Binoculars, tell me the distance."

Finnick fumbled as he tried to get binoculars. He was completely surprised by that and wasn't prepared to do so. "Give me a second." He scanned the area, and adjusted for range. " 2 notches up and 1 and a half notches left. 400 metres and wind of 23 m/s ."

"Got it, get the laptop." Then someone was heard walking up the stairs . "Check it out I'll stay here." Finnick nodded and stood up.

"Wait until I get back."

"Got it." Finnick stood up and approached the staircase where he heard the steps louder and louder. 'Must be a large mammal, given how loud the footsteps are.' He pulled out his pistol. 'please don't be a rhino.'

A rhino officer arrived and opened the door gently. Finnick jumped out and was about to fire his pistol. "Zero, wait a second. I'm with you." Finnick lowered his pistol. The rhino pulled out a badge with 9 points. "I was sent to check on you two. How's 'Popper'?"

"We're good, about to take the shot."

"Good, I'll tell storm and head back downstairs. We didn't see each other, remember that."

"You make sure to remember that." Finnick jabbed his pistols barrel into the rhinos knee. "Besides I'm still your superior." Finnick looked up to look at the name tag.

"Of course sir, I forgot."

"Now leave, to let us do our job."

"Yessir, I'll leave now." The rhino left and headed downstairs.

"McHorn? Maybe bunny cop knows more about him." He pulled out his phone and texted her quickly.

"What do you know about McHorn?"

After a few minutes of no response , he returned. "False alarm, Just McHorn checking up on us."

"Oh, son of a bitch Raccson doesn't trust us. Can't say I blame him, I don't want to be here and you fled once already. Both of us are like the worst possible team up. But it's not like we have a choice anymore." She looked down the scope. "Press enter in 3 2 1" Finnick pressed enter a second after he heard the bullet fire.

"Pressed." Finnick looked back into the binoculars to see the result. The lion's head was taken almost cleanly off where very little remained. Lots of mammals started to panic and flee the scene. Officers started to search the area for any possible perpetrator of the murder that has just occurred . "Lets go, it won't take long for them to find this place." Ellie nodded and both of them stood up after quickly packing to flee. "So we are rappelling down the building?" Ellie nodded again then pulled out a rope ascender .

"You got one?"

"Nah, but I got gloves, I can slide down."

"I have a spare just in case, if you change your mind."

"Can I have it, please?"

"That didn't take long." She pulled out a second one and tossed it over gently, so that the fennec can catch it. They reach the edge and Ellie jumps first down the rope, then Finnick followed suit. They both saw police vehicles moving towards the building. "Shh, they might not see us." Then he saw that trio. "I may have a get out of jail free card if we do, but it's risky. When you get to the bottom , RUN."

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine. Besides you have all the gear not me."

"You have the badge anyways. They will put 2 and 2 together."

"I'll figure something out." Then in the distance they heard a modified voice.

"Hello, citizens of Zootopia, what you have witnessed was but a fraction of our potential. We do not take no for an answer. What we demand will not be stated here but the mayor has already been notified. If these demands are not met, then we shall continue, we will not halt or stop or falter for a storm is brewing and you cannot stop a storm. It is a Law of Nature."

"So that was the message?" Ellie asked.

"No, we sent the message." Finnick corrected. "Lionheart was the message."

"I get it but aren't we supposed to be , you know, in the shadows?"

"Plan E, emergence. Only to be used as a final resort. The mayor must've held out for too long at this point."

"We're about to get to the bottom. Get ready."

"The second you touch the floor, run and don't look back." The vixen sighed but nodded. She hit the floor and started sprinting. Finnick hit the ground a couple seconds after. He also started sprinting in the same direction. They had an agreed location to meet but it was in the path of police officers. Finnick then remembered something: his van. It was not yet seen so he could sneak into it and drive off. "Fuck it. You only live once." He ran towards his van and then climbed in. He turned the ignition and it stuttered "No not now, come on baby you can do it." He tried again and it failed again. Then he tried a third time and it started. "Yes." He instantly put the van in reverse and drove backwards. He turned away from the police and drove off. He looked in the mirror and spotted the newest police recruit, that raccoon. "Maybe he won't recognise the van." Pawson didn't recognise it and tried to give chase but had no vehicle.

"Hopps, vehicle." She ran over after a few seconds but the vehicle was too far to recognise.

"Plate number?" Pawson shrugged. "Sweet cheese and crackers. There will be panic in the streets and we don't know who did what."

Back in the van

"Need to find her. Need to get rid of van." He sighed. "Sorry, this was your last rodeo." He patted the steering wheel of his van. He looked to his left and recognised the black fox that was walking now. "Need a ride?"

"Holy shit, I thought they got you." She laughed at the sight of her new friend and partner. "Guess we're working together for a while longer."

"Can't get rid of me that easy. Lived on the streets my whole life." He stopped his van and let the vixen get in.

"Thanks. I was getting tired carrying everything with me."

"Don't thank me yet, we need to get rid of the van now. Need to make a call." He pulls out his phone and calls Victor.

"Hey, the assassination went well, I saw it happen. Did the escape go well?"

"We're both here. Need a favour. A new car."

"Why? Breaking down finally?"

"Spotted, don't want the police to track me down."

"Got a spare car here, it's grey and would blend in well with most other cars. The boot has a hidden compartment that would require you to press a button then scan your retina. Very secure. And hidden."

"Will make do, thanks friend. Meet at the junkyard"

"Yeah, need you to be able to do your job one way and her car is too flashy."

"That's what I said."

"HEY. It's classy."

"Okay next time we can try hide with your car hanging out."

"Point taken."

"Alright Fenrir, see you later."

"See ya man." The line disconnected.

"Lets go to the junkyard, and get rid of this." Ellie nodded. "Don't worry by the way, he knows my name. You can use it in front of him but not anyone else." Ellie nodded again.

The two remained quiet for a bit due to the stress of being found out. "So..." The vixen started. "How did you get out?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Just curious and maybe it'll help me make an idea."

"I made a deal with Raccson's dad before he died. Raccson doesn't know me and his brother was killed by a savage fox so not my problem honestly. "

"Yeah, I was tasked with hindering that fox or killing him. He is much harder to kill than you think."

"You're welcome." Finnick said while grinning.

"What do you mean?"

"That's where the deal comes in. I was to train a new replacement, of course he wouldn't be as good as me but that was the deal. So I picked a fox named Nicholas Wilde, also known as the now first fox police officer."

"No. Oh shit. I'm so sorry."

"No harm no foul. Besides we will be staying low now to not be found out, we did a lot in the short time span."

"We did?"

"Well, someone killed that sheep and I assume it was you. Then I killed the elk reporter. Now, we killed Lionheart publicly. That is massive."

"Yeah, makes sense now that you say it like that." She rubbed her arm slightly.

"Do I make you uncomfortable?" Finnick asked as he noticed how the vixen was behaving.

"Well, sort of, I nearly killed your friend and you are such a legend for all hitmammals and assassins. The fact that I am next to you and working with you is such an honour but I feel like I betrayed you already." She sighed then leaned towards the window, trying to distance herself from the fennec.

"The past is the past and you didn't kill him, he is too good for that and don't treat me like a legend or a myth, just as a regular mammal."

"I'll try."

Finnick turned sharply left to get to his location and the vixen didn't really move as she was already leaning into the door. The streets started to be more barren as buildings became sparser and sparser. Finally , they reached the junkyard where Vic was standing next to nice car.

"Nice to see you both. Congrats on a job well done. New orders and you're both working under my orders, any issues?"

"No sir."

"Negative."

The two mammals answered in unison with their different answers. "Good, I'd hate to disappoint Storm so early on. Now, you two have another mission, considering that the mayor is still unflinching in her stance." He handed over a dossier. "We need an offshore location so you know where this is going."

"Outback Island."

"Yeah, we want to deal with the 'boss' there."

"Kill or capture?"

"Recruit if possible. Otherwise kill, we will work with second in command."

"Understood , so we will be offshore."

"For the while." He pulled out two radios. "For communication, first channel to talk to me second to discuss between each other, or you can turn it off." The two mammals nodded. "Now to unpack your van and transfer it all there." Finnick headed to the back and opened it.

"No taking anything. I earned all of it." He opened every single thing up. "Fenrir, open the boot up." Victor went and opened the hidden compartment. "We'll deal with me accessing it later." Fenrir nodded. They carried over all the hidden stuff first then locked the compartment. Now all money ammunition and guns were hidden and organised. Then all clothes and other miscellaneous items were put away in the boot on top of the hidden compartment.

"I didn't know you had so much ammo. You could arm a small army."

"Yeah, be prepared for anything." Finnick replied while entering his van to dispose of it.

"So you have the dossier, deal with the problem." Both saluted. "Please don't do that Zero. I told you already."

"Sorry boss but it is respect to be given to superiors." Fenrir groaned and left.

"I'll walk back, need the air anyway. Your transport will be ready at the docks at 22.35 sharp."

"Yessir." Both foxes responded.

"Wanna kill time with some fun while we wait?"

"Yeah, any ideas?"

"What about a funfair? We could get some mileage with your new car." Ellie proposed. "By the way, do you have a surname? I'm sorry just curious."

"No, I suppose neither do you." Then Finnick's phone buzzed. "Give me a second." He turned back and drove the van in.

He was sent a message.

"What about McHorn? He's a fellow officer hard working a bit grumpy but also overconfident. Not as bad as you but still."

"He's a Law, he went up to the shooting location 1 minute before the shot was taken. You can check security footage. You never received this message, only checked to see who taken the shot."

"We were already checking, seems the shooters were quite evasive no visual on cams any hints there?"

"No, none what so ever, I just saw McHorn. Check his pockets. He should have the symbol or badge."

"Thanks for the tip."Finnick turned his phone off and parked the van next to the crusher that was there."

"Good bye and thank you for holding out for so long. You were a great van and home for so long." Finnick was upset when he said that. He never thought he would have to leave it or worse destroy it. It survived so much and carried him through so much. The last thing he did was pull out the cassette tape that remained in the radio. He opened the door and looked away. He jumped out and walked away without turning back. "Goodbye." He said one more time. He then left the junkyard and walked towards his new car. From behind he heard the sound of something crushing. A single tear fell from his eye.

"That must be hard to endure. I get it. Such a bond with an inanimate object I mean. Doesn't make it hurt any less." Finnick just turned the car on and drove away. "Turn right here, I know a place. It'll be fun."

"Okay, then lets go to the funfair. Even though we're mid 40s now."

"How dare you assume my age."

"Well, you did kill my team 20 odd years ago. It's simple arithmetic from there."

"You win this game fox."

"Well, you lost it , fox. Maybe I should revoke your fox card for that."

She chuckled, "No not my fox card, what will I do without it?"

"I don't know, maybe have a better life."

Both were then slightly depressed by that comment. "I wish it was that easy."

"Same."

Both remained silent for a few seconds. "Turn right here. Then left afterwards." Finnick nodded. "Usually I'm the one driving so this is weird."

"Usually you're on your own as well."

"Good point. And it is much more enjoyable talking to you."

"Heh, I'm always told I'm terrible to talk to."

"You're not, that's not true." She responded instantly. That taken Finnick by surprise. "I think you are a decent interesting mammal with flaws but who doesn't have flaws." She sighed. "Sorry for that outburst, turn left here and we will be there." Finnick reached the destination and parked for a bit.

"Is it okay if I change?"

"Yeah, yeah go ahead, I'll leave."

"It was a joke." Finnick removed the suit quickly and walked about in the outfit he usually wore.

"You wear both at once? Isn't it too hot for you?"

"Well, I'm a desert fox so no and yes I wear both." Finnick answered matter-of-factly with a monotone voice. It felt like a default answer for the fox at this point and he knew it was going to get worse. Time to deal with it as early as possible, though. "Time to go in?"

"Yeah, no time like the present to lose all your worries and keep going."

They approached the entrance where a ticket booth keeper stood. "One child One adult, that would be 25 zoollars."

The vixen gave the appropriate amount and the two walked through. "Wow, he thought you were a child." She laughed at that idea. "If only he knew right?"

The fennec rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I also don't know why he assumed you are my parent or carer if you are literally black , while I am beige but 'ZOOTOPIA' so what do I know."

"I mean , if I were to adopt you it wouldn't be out of the ordinary also this is a recessive gene so it would be beaten by any dominant gene that my 'partner' would possess. So we can easily say, I could be your parent or carer."

"Well, shit." Finnick felt stupid then. "I failed biology and I think it showed just then."

"Yep, it did. But don't worry, we are here to have fun. Forget all about the past." Finnick nodded and just followed along. "I say start off with a bang and also I cant wait any longer to try it." Ellie crouched down and moved her paws in a circular motion as if she was cycling with her paws from excitement. "They just finished a new rollercoaster called the sound breaker. Apparently the fastest rollercoaster to be ever made. It's gonna be so fun." Finnick feigned enthusiasm , not because he was scared but because he didn't know what he was doing at a fun fair. He never been to one. "You know, mammals are either excited or terrified from such things. You are neither, why?"

"Well, I don't know how to react, I've never been to such a place."

"Really? Never? What a terrible childhood you had. Come on, we are testing you right now." She grabbed the fennec's paw and dragged him to the queue for the Soundbreaker. "This will be so fun." She then sniffed and smelled something. "Wait here, I smell something good. It's a surprise." She hurried off.

"What did I get myself into? This could be a long day today." Finnick groaned as he walked forward quite a bit moving closer to the front now. "She better not be leaving me to ride on my own. I swear if she is, I will-"

"Will what?" She just returned and heard the last part of the sentence. "Don't think I didn't hear any of that mister."

"I think I preferred when you were gushing over how I was a legend."

"Okay, okay I get it, you feel powerless right now. And you want some of that power back in your life so how about you pick the next thing we do?"

"I'd love to but I don't know any."

"Hmm, we'll see how we feel after this then I'll decide what we do. Sound good?"

"I'd say no but the only other alternative is going home, so yeah sounds good."

"There's the joyful genuine mammal we need." She stated boldly in an exaggerated method that made the fennec chuckle. The line moved forward again. "So I did some research, since I was planning on going here anyways, and there are actually two going side by side and so that is why it's so quick. They are both just as quick as each other and just as long as each other so don't worry about length." Finnick nodded as he was impressed with the knowledge the vixen possessed. "Sorry I really love these things."

"No, it's fine, I like a mammal that knows their stuff." The vixen blushed but the blush was hidden by the incredibly dark fur that layered her skin. "Besides , I'd want to know what I'm getting myself into as well." He turned back to facing the ride with a great sense of apathy. He watched the roller coaster start and blast off , speeding at incomprehensible velocities. He raised an eyebrow, "This could be interesting."

"See, I told you it will be fun."

"Yeah, as long as I don't swallow a fly."

"Good point, be careful with that."

They taken another few steps closer and now stood literally at the gate for the ride. They felt a gush of wind as the ride started. "Okay, now I'm excited."

"Yes, I knew it. The adrenaline pumping through your veins as you fly through the air."

"Yeah, that could be good." Finnick responded not knowing what to say. "You know, you are really obsessed with this ride."

"Well, hehe everyone needs some form of entertainment right?"

"I guess you're right and besides, might as well live it up before we go to the land down under."

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot. How will we handle that?"

"We'll discuss it later, when we aren't about to blast our minds at what I can only assume is Mach 2."

"Actually , the highest speed it goes is about 156 miles per hour. A speed that could be illegal on most highways. And one that you would struggle to obtain on a regular motorbike." Finnick opened his eyes wide, that was a very specific speed and much higher than he thought it would be. "Yeah, it's very fast, and you need a helmet for it. Forgot to mention that but you still feel the speed."

"Yeah, I would assume so." Finnick scratched the top of his skull and dragged his paw to the back of his skull. "Just holy shit that is fast."

"Yeah, it is." She started jumping up on the spot lightly and her tail started swinging side to side.

"I thought I was the kit here not you." Finnick chuckled at what he saw. "Maybe we should've swapped tickets."

The vixen stopped and turned around. She put her paws on her hip and leaned down to the fennecs level. "Hardy har but watch yourself." Finnick gulped at that, he never felt threatened like that without any consequences but this was different. Then the gate was opened and they were let through. "It's go time."

"Finally, I hate waiting." The two sat near the front as it was the only place where two mammals of different sizes could sit together like that. The foxes then put on a helmet that was provided to them. As the helmet was checked and their seat harnesses were fastened. All the mammals were then talking about what they were about to experience in both a positive and negative light. Then a small click was heard. "There we go." Was all Finnick said before they started blasting down the tracks. There were many twists and turns that caused all the mammals to lean left or right. The vixen beside the fennec was screaming of joy and loving it. Finnick was also enjoying it, but he enjoyed the boundless bundle of joy beside him more. He laughed at the sight then joined in the screaming as he let his arms go up at the drop. At the drop the moved so far down they actually went underground through a tunnel and then emerged later. Then they passed a few loop-de-loops and the fennec really enjoyed that. But what he enjoyed most was all the speed that was present and how fast they were travelling the entire time. As Ellie said, the adrenaline rushing through his veins was the biggest joy but also going to be horrible when he has an adrenaline crash. The two suddenly felt the ride slowing down and grinding to a halt. Then it stopped by the exit. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, that was fun."

"Hell, yeah it was, and I'm sorry it might jade your view on other rides." She winked.

"I think I'll manage somehow. I always do." He winked back.

"We haven't eaten anything today and it's almost time for lunch, want a snack or a meal?"

"I think we should just have an early lunch then explore what else there is."

"Sounds like a plan." The two started walking towards a restaurant. Actually two restaurants. One for predators and one for prey. The divide was to let prey and predators eat in peace without one disturbing the other. The the absolute surprise of no-one , the predator restaurant was in poorer condition and had more cheaply made food.

"Hello, welcome please take a seat. We shall be with you shortly." The two foxes took a seat. They looked at the menu that was neatly left at the table for them. Then they decided what they wanted to have.

The waiter came back, "Are you ready to order?"

"Yes, I'll have a Cowke a Chicken sandwich and some potato fries." The vixen answered

"And I'll have a bug burger some chicken fries and a glass of water, thank you." The fennec added.

"Very well, your orders have taken, please wait they will be made momentarily."

Both the foxes responded "Thank you".

"So, what do you think of today, so far?"

"Well, it can be simplified to the rollercoaster we rode. It started off shit but quickly became better and better." The vixen chuckled at the description she heard. "Also, I know you are probably worried about one detail and I forgive you for trying to kill Wilde, it wasn't your fault, it's just the job. I don't want you to think I hate you or anything."

"Thanks, thats one less problem to worry about now, my partner trying to kill me as revenge. But Outback Island." Then their food arrived.

"Bon appetite" Both foxes smiled at the waiter and taken their portions of food.

"This is better than I expected." Finnick mumbled with a full mouth.

Ellie giggled, "You are unbelievable."

Finnick swallowed the food he had in his mouth. "I think we both are. After what we did this morning, we are here. I know about hiding in plain sight but this is much more."

"It makes it a bit more fun don't you think?" The vixen responded.

"Unless, your definition of fun is risking being locked up for the rest of our lives, I don't know if I agree."

"High risk high reward, as they say." The vixen responded almost instantly.

"Nick would've liked you, you know? He is quite similar with the whole always knowing what to say."

"I don't know if a cop would like me."

"He likes me."

"Does he know what you do?"

"That's the thing , yes he does. He knew from practically the beginning when I was training him."

"Well, shit. I stand corrected, he did know. You got me there. So why did he agree?"

"Lets say I was persuasive with my methods." Finnick said trying to be innocent. Then he finished his fries, and tried to take another one but was disappointed to an empty paw. "From there he was actually quite accepting more and more as time passed and we became what one could call friends."

"So he is as skilled as you?"

"Skill? No but he makes up for it by being stronger faster and more creative. Also his silver tongue. He can talk his way out of almost any situation."

"Wow, I can't believe it, who's his partner by the way?"

"The only other only cop in the ZPD."

"You mean the fact that there is an officer that is the only one of their species? That damned rabbit. How much do they fight?"

"He is currently under the influence of night howler right? Due to that , he is protecting her at all costs. She is the only one he trusts right now."

"A fox and a rabbit, who would've guessed. Let me guess, there is something between them."

"Probably, almost certainly." Finnick answered. "But I wouldn't say yes just yet."

"Well, seeing how you finishe a while ago and I just finished ,wanna go?" Finnick nodded then Ellie raised her arm. Finnick pulled out his wallet and put 30 zoollars on the table. The waiter approached. "Hello, we would like to leave so would it be okay to ask for the cheque."

"Of course, I'll be right back." The waiter walked off then returned almost instantly with a cheque and a card reader. "It is contactless just in case."

"Thank you but we will pay with cash." Finnick said while pushing the 30 zoollars over. "Keep the change."

"Thank you, you are generous. We hope to see you again soon. Goodbye." The waiter said while collecting all the dishes to take back to the kitchen. The two foxes stood up said their goodbyes and left.

"So now what?"

"Well, I thought about you and your past and decided, what about the games. So lets go play some games."

"Now that is my expertise." Finnick declared confidently. "Coconut shy, you want to hit at the lip of the coconut and the stand itself for the middle one very hard. Shooter, you need to hit it multiple times and considering our precision will be easy. Ring toss, make sure the ring floats so it falls all the way down. And many more, when we get there I will tell you."

"Wow, you said that off the cuff."

"I did those cons. They were so fun to do but the card ones were my favourite. Hopefully we'll find some." Unfortunately they didn't. But they found every single game that Finnick mentioned and breezed through them on their first try each and every time. It was almost as if one of the mammals did this before.

"Wow, you were right and you were good. Damn , you need to teach me some of these cons at some point."

"If we get the chance I will. They ain't too difficult to learn." Finnick stated, planning how he would teach her at this point. "How about we finish the day off with some more rides. I'll be honest , I've been missing out on too much all these years."

"That is very true, you have been missing out on a lot." Ellie said while looking around to find a good ride. "What about the dropper? Wanna try it?"

"Sure? Is it literally just being dropped?"

"When you say it like that, you ruin the fun." She responded which she then grunted in annoyance.

"Never thought I'd say this but I'm sorry?" Finn said , not understanding the situation. Ellie just shook her head with a smile and walked towards the dropper ride. They arrived to the location and noticed that the queue was very short for some odd reason. 'Perfect' thought the vixen. They both entered the queue and actually entered the ride almost instantly. There was no wait and no hassle. The two sat down next to each other. One sat in excitement while the other in trepidation. Finnick still wasn't fully sure what to expect from this ride he just agreed to. The ride slowly rose and once it reached the top, something released and the started falling. Then it slowed down again midway through then went up again then down and it repeated the cycle multiple times. Finnick was indifferent to this ride, it wasn't bad but he didn't enjoy it that much. But he tried to feign some enthusiasm to not seem like it was a total waste of time. Maybe he would've enjoyed it if he was heavier but he was light enough to be thrown about by the ride. And honestly, he hated to admit this but it kind of hurt him. The ride finally ended and Finnick admitted that he didn't enjoy the ride that much while gripping his left shoulder.

"Oh, I'm sorry I thought that..."

"No , I wouldn't expect you to know that I would be shaken around like that. It does hurt more than I anticipated though." Finnick admitted while trying to ease his shoulder into proper functionality. He checked his phone and noticed the time. "Its 7:40 right now so I'd say time for one more ride maybe two and then we head out."

"Yeah, sounds about right, we need to get to the docks after all."

"What about that spinner?" Ellie saw the fox pointing at a large spinning ride which rocked left to right as well.

"I'm willing to go on it."

"You really love your rides don't you?"

"Of course I do, but not too much, that would be weird." The started walking towards the spinners, where they passed a small kiosk , which sold candy floss. "Oooh, there it is. I was looking for it before. Lets buy some."

"Sure why not, lets intake a vast amount of purified sugar that has food colouring in it." Ellie stared at him for a few seconds. "I mean I would love some." The fennec chuckled nervously and then the two went and bought some. Ellie had a pink one but Finnick bought a blue one. It was meant to be blueberry but really just tasted like sugar. The two ate their sweet pieces of clouds as they neared their destination. Eventually they reached the line for the ride and were once again surprised to see the queue was some what short. Must've been because of the time of day. In the queue, there was a bunch of teenage tigers that were being obnoxiously loud. A member of staff approached them to try and calm them down as the place was more quiet now and so they were the only ones heard. One of the tigers just turned around and was about to claw the staff member but Finnick quickly intervened. "Hey buddy , it would be a bad idea to claw him. Imagine the headline already, 'Dumb predator attacks friendly prey'" Finnick dragged his paw in front of his face as he stated the headline. "You sure you want that and a jail sentence?" The tiger growled and then turned back. The tigers became slightly quieter now. Finnick turned to the vixen he was standing with. "Sometimes you need to call someone out to make them realise they are wrong. So you need to pick your fights wisely." He smiled as he said that.

"What a philosopher."

"Nick is a cop and it did rub off on me a bit."

"Oh no , you won't arrest me will you?"

"I'd have to arrest myself first."

"Then I have a few years to prepare." Finnick laughed at that quite heartily, he hasn't laughed like that in quite some time. Maybe it was just the fact that Nick's jokes are poorer in quality than hers. Either way, he was happy to be amused like that. "It wasn't that funny."

"Probably wasn't but, I did find it funny." They walked onwards and entered the next ride. There were many seats available and they once again sat next to each other. They didn't want to separate now. The ride started by turning without tilting. Then as it picked up speed, the ride started to rock left and right. The faster it got the more the two foxes liked the ride. Their only issue was the slow build up that seemed to drag on forever but better that than just suddenly rocketing off. The ride wasn't really much different events apart from that. Mammals were screaming once again from joy or from fear and then the ride concluded. Given how much time they had left, Ellie proposed the idea of the Ferris wheel. "Yeah, that could be fun. It could have quite a view right?"

"Yeah, it would."

The two meandered about while it was getting dark about the fair and they were the last pair to get into the Ferris wheel. The pod started to rise and the two foxes looked around to see what was about. "So this is what it's like to be tall. I'm not missing much then."

"You really aren't. But it makes stairs easier to traverse."

"How dare you incite that card. I'm truly hurt."

"The truth can hurt." Finnick mock gasped when he heard that and shook his head.

He looked at the picturesque view that surrounded him. "Wow." He then turned around and saw the vixen perfectly align with the sunset, which made him repeat his comment again but much more emotionally. "WOW" he muttered under his breath.

"Hmm? Something wrong?"

Finnick quickly woke up from his day dream "N-no, nothing wrong."

The ride started to descend and the two were ready to get off. "There's something so classic about the Ferris wheel that just cannot be taken away from it, don't you agree Finn?"

"Y-yeah, I agree, there is something in it hard to put your finger on it." But Finnick knew exactly what he was thinking about. "Time to go now, we have about two hours to get there now. Best to be slightly early." Ellie nodded and the two returned to the car they used to arrive here. "It will be difficult to not have that van anymore."

"Yeah, must be a habit of yours to use it." the fennec nodded with a slight tinge of sadness. He started the car once the two were in and drove to his destination. The two were tired so there was little conversation. "It was quite fun today, Finn. I really enjoyed today."

"I feel the exact same. It was really fun."

A couple hours later, they reached the docks and drove to a side alley where they were expecting a few mammals and a small car ferry for them. "We're here." Ellie slowly woke up.

Someone approached the car and knocked on the window. "Who are you?"

"Zero and Popper sent by Fenrir." 'Popper' shown her badge as Zero said this.

"Very well, drive in and we will be ready to let you go soon."

Finnick nodded and drove in."Time to sleep now, but first I'm gonna stretch my legs." Finnick jumped out of the car and sent a message to Judy, "I'll be out of mainland Zootopia for a while, soz"

"..." was the response. Finnick was worried that she already knew about that thing this morning.

A/N: Finally here, holy shit gone three times THREE . But here it is finally. Finnick has a new friend now and lets see what happens between them. And yes, Pawson didn't see much.

Next chapter will look at their side more, considering what we saw already.

I really don't have much to write here except finally.

With that being said, goodbye and have a good one. Til next we meet.
