Chapter 1348 Dusk
I don't own Bleach or any of the powers and gear used in this story.
In a medieval styled city that was ruled by a tyrant with many people were suffering under his rule. The tyrant resembles Palatine from Star Wars: The Clone Wars with a beard like Dumbledore from Harry Potter with the hair being colored black and he was fat. He was wearing fine crafted red silk robes with gold trim and around his neck was a crystal necklace called the Crystal Heart (Sharkboy and Lavagirl). He was currently stuffing himself with a large and gorgeously prepared lunch.
"This is the best! All for me!" The Tyrant said greedily as he bites off some meat from a turkey drumstick. Suddenly a knight comes bursting into the room.
"Sire! A bandit is coming to kill you!" The knight warns him.
"What? Then arrest them." The Tyrant said annoyed that the knight interrupted his meal.
"The problem sire is that we don't know who the bandit is. All they left was various pieces of something with words written on them." The knight said before taking one from a pouch and hands it to the king. The king after wiping his hands with a napkin grabs it. On one side was a simple yet elegant crown meant for a man with a pair of wings one being pure white and the other being pure black. He then flips it around and sees the words on it.
'Tyrant of gluttony and greed you have earned my ire and disgust. For far too long you have harmed this kingdom and its people with your inessive indulgent of food and your greed for gold and jewels. You had deprived your people of much needed resources for the last time. I the King of Bandits will steal your heart tonight.'
"Steal my heart?! This is a death threat! I want all men to be ready! Now!" The Tyrant demands.
"Yes Sire." The knight said frightened by the king's temper. The knight quickly leaves the room and goes to warn the other knight as well as get them ready while the tyrant king crushes the note in his hand.
"King of Bandits I will have your head!" The Tyrant growls.
(In another part of the city)
"He got the note Kir." A young boy said to a black bird that has brown eyes, large eyebrows, and a red scarf (Kir from Jing: King of Bandits).
"That means we're on for tonight Dusk." Kir said while he was rubbing his wings greedily. The boy looks like Child-Gil from the Fate series with some differences. His hair is Jing's hairstyle from Jing: King of Bandits but white instead of brown, Zed's Shardcaster marks on his left arm, Zed's Medallion from Noah on the right side of his waist, and his clothes are based on Gilgamesh's casual clothing from Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works route with the jacket appearance being based on Jing's Jacket from Jing: King of Bandits with the color scheme of Gilgamesh's jacket and the left sleeve removed like Zed's jacket.
This is Dusk Skywing, a 10-year-old young boy and the King of Bandits.
"Remember to not lose yourself in your greed or if we encounter a pretty woman while we do this. Don't want to mess up." Dusk said simply.
"I know I know. Don't worry." Kir said waving a wing at Dusk.
"I'll have Rambos and Zuigyu take care of the distraction while we sneak in and steal the heart." Dusk said.
"And if there is any trouble, we bring out some Kir Royales." Kir said with a grin. Dusk nods.
"Now let's get something to eat." Dusk said as the two went off.
(Later at night)
"When is this bastard showed up?!" The Tyrant snarls.
"I don't know sire." The same knight as before said as he and several other knights were guarding the Tyrant. Suddenly they heard a loud destructive sound as if a massive force was attacking the castle.
"What was that?!" The Tyrant demands angerly. Then a knight who was shorter than average bursts into the room.
"Sire a giant humanoid bird man and a giant insect like creature are attacking the castle! We're taking heavy losses!" The short knight said.
"What?! All of you go and take care of this!" The Tyrant orders.
"Sire we can't leave you unguarded!" The head Knight protests.
"I can stay here with the king and guard him sir." The short knight said.
"Good man. Guard him with your life." The head knight said causing the short knight nod solemnly. The head knight and the other knights quickly rushes out of the room to deal with the monsters leaving the tyrant and the short knight alone.
"Sire should we move to somewhere else? We could head to the treasury and stay there since the protections on it should keep you safer than here." The short knight suggests. The tyrant rubs his beard in thought.
"You've made a good point. Let's go." The tyrant said as the short knight escorts the tyrant to the treasury.
(A bit later)
The tyrant and the short knight arrive at the treasury where the king opens it. In it were various treasures and items. They enter it and the door shuts.
"You have a good horde sire." The short knight praises the tyrant making him grin.
"Yes, I do! Nobody else can have this much!" The tyrant said as he bursts out laughing.
"Too bad for you that none of this will be yours any longer." The short knight said surprising the tyrant before the knight takes off his helmet and throws it at the tyrant and hitting him in the head before the short knight then moves his right hand to his left arm as a white light flashes from the arm.
"What is the meaning of this?!" The tyrant demands angerly.
"Justice." The short knight said as revealing it was Dusk before he throws some marble like items called Shards with these particular shards being Shifting Shards that opens a small portal like circle with Kir flying through it and into the treasury.
(Play Kir Royale! From Jing: King of Bandits)
"Let's teach this bastard a lesson Dusk!" Kir said as he flies to Dusk's side as a green light shines from them as Kir's wings becomes longer, his talons clutches on Dusk's arm (I think it is his talons. That or his ribs.), and his beak becomes bigger and longer before a green energy blast forms in his beak.
"Time for your punishment. Give me a Kir Royale!" Dusk yells out as the green energy fires in a beam and hits the tyrant into the wall causing an explosion. The tyrant was still alive but he was passed out with a concussion and burn marks.
"In that note when it said I'll take your heart I was referring to this." Dusk said as he takes out the Crystal Heart the tyrant revealing Dusk stole it from the tyrant without him noticing.
"But we will also take everything from here and give it to the people you taken it from because of your greed. Well minus a few things that catches our interest." Dusk said as Kir turns back to normal.
"Ugh I need a drink." Kir said rubbing his throat. Dusk wordlessly hands him a water canteen making Kir nod thankfully as he takes it and drinks from it. Dusk then starts grabbing the treasure and throwing it into the Gates of Babylon he inherited from Gilgamesh the King of Heroes who is his ancestor on his mother's side of the family.
"Got to love the Gates of Babylon." Kir said as he was done drinking and was now helping Dusk gathering the treasure.
"Yes. It is a useful tool." Dusk said with a nod while outside the castle all the knights were unconscious with injuries from Rambos and Zuigyu. Both Rambos and Zuigyu nods in each other before turning back into their Spirit Shards and flies off into beams of light as Dusk and Kir exits the treasury before Dusk catches them and looks at them with a grateful smile.
"Good work and thank you for your help." Dusk said as he places them into his Shard Marks.
"Now let's do our good deed." Kir said as they then start heading back to the town.
(A bit more later)
Dusk and Kir have arrived back into the town and informs everyone of the tyrant's defeat and starts handing out the gold coins and the stolen heirlooms back to their rightful owners.
"Thank you! Thank you!" A old woman said crying tears of joy to have her treasured necklace given to her by her late husband back.
Sota was there and he watches the scene from a rooftop. "Huh."
Kir was chatting up some of the town ladies after they were done giving the town back their stolen money and heirlooms while Dusk was looking at the happy smiles of the townsfolk with satisfied look and small smile.
He then looks back to see Sota.
"Hello." Sota said.
"Hello. You're not from this place are you?" Dusk questions though it wasn't a question.
"No, but it seems your a hero." Sota said
"Nah I'm just a bandit doing what he wants and going where he wants to go by following where the wind takes him." Dusk said as his hands in his pockets.
"Don't you want to do more?" He said.
"What do you mean?" Dusk questions as Kir then flies over to them and lands on Dusk's shoulder.
"What's that?" Sota looks at Kir.
"I am Kir and I am Dusk's partner." Kir said a little offended at being called that.
"I see, also that gate you used." Sota said.
"What about it?" Dusk questions.
"It's a long story, but we would need your help to join a group called Team Light." Sota said.
"Join huh? Kir would be a part and we can still be bandits rights?" Dusk questions with folded arms.
"I don't see why your friend would not, also why do you want to be a bandit?" Sota said.
"We steal things, and we keep a bit of it for ourselves. Plus, if I'm not a bandit anymore I can't be the King of Bandits anymore." Dusk explains.
Sota stares at him. "You better not be hurting innocent people."
"We have standards so don't compare us with low class bandits that do that crap." Kir said offended.
Before he could say something the palace of the King got destroyed.
"That wasn't us." Dusk said with a surprised frown.
"Yeah we might have damaged a part of it but not enough to do that." Kir said.
But they saw a golden glow and in the sky was Gilgamesh.
"Gilgamesh." Dusk said surprised and stunned to see his ancestor here.
He looks down at him. "Who gave you the right to say my name mongrel."
"Would you prefer gramps? After all I am your descendent." Dusk said as takes out Hugh's sword he took after defeating him from the Gates of Babylon.
Gilgamesh got mad. "It seems one of those women survived with a child. But you are nothing to me." He summons his gate shooting many swords.
Then a massive burst of wind blows them away.
"What was that?!" Gilgamesh questions. Dusk takes out a Spirit Shard from his Shard Caster marks.
"Let's go Amir Gaoul!" Dusk said as he throws it into the air as it becomes Amir Gaoul (3rd form) who opens his eyes as he swings his lance into a battle stance.
"You have nerve alright, take this you dog!" Gilgamesh shoots stronger weapons.
Amir Gaoul simply whips up a wall of tornados as a shield.
"You know Gramps you should be happy that I am around." Dusk said as the weapons hits the tornado wall and falls.
"He's not the kind one, he's working for Team Dark a evil group that wants to conquer everything." Sota said.
"Seriously? What a disgrace." Dusk said disappointed in his ancestor.
Gilgamesh kept attacking them with his weapons.
But Amir Gaoul kept blocking his attacks.
"Kir left arm." Dusk said making Kir grimace.
"Not that again." Kir complaints as he becomes his blaster mode this time on Dusk's left arm. Dusk takes aim at Gilgamesh with the beam in Kir's mouth being a fiery red.
"Give me a Flaming Kir Royale!" Dusk shouts as Kir fires a beam of red fire like energy. How you might be asking it is because of Dusk's Shard Caster Marks on his left arm. By channeling the power of shards into Kir he can add an elemental attack to the Kir Royale.
Gilgamesh got sent to the ground. "You dare mongrul, you dare me stand in the same ground as you, ME WHO STANDS ABOVE THE HEAVENS!" He summons more. "And now you will pay."
"Stand above the heavens? Give me a break." Dusk said as he fires five more Spirit Shards using Kir as the medium and from the Spirit Shards came the other five Key Spirits Pronimo, Sachura, Monardi, Dunamis, and Shadin.
"Now all six Key Spirits are here." Dusk said as everyone could feel the power coming from them all.
Before he could attack Gilgamesh was called back. "Tch, to survived." He goes away.
"He ran away?" Kir questions surprised. Then he went back to normal as Dusk calls back his spirits.
"No, he was called back, it seems they wanted him to come back, wanting to know more about you." Sota said.
"Why now though?" Dusk questions confused.
"Since you just revealed your last form." Sota said.
"Last form? You mean my Spirits? I didn't bring them all out. Just those six in the battle." Dusk said.
"Well, he might have seen Rambos and Zuigyu earlier." Kir said.
"Plus besides Amir Gaoul he didn't see the powers of the other five." Dusk said.
"Still, you didn't see Gilgamesh full power either." Sota said.
"True but I got some tricks up my sleeves." Dusk said.
"So, about this team deal can we still steal from bad people?" Kir asks.
"Fine." Sota sighs.
"Relax. We'll do the same thing we did here when it comes to stealing." Dusk said.
"While taking a small cut of course." Kir said.
"Okay, a friend lives in a mansion so if you want to steal your money instead." Sota said.
"We only steal from bad guys and not from our friends and allies." Dusk said.
"Unless it's for a prank." Kir said.
"Don't do that unless you want to get killed by the others." He said.
"Fine." Dusk said with sigh.
"It's just a warning since the main members are way stronger than you." He said.
Dusk raises an eyebrow at that since he wasn't using his full power and Sota assumes he was weaker then these main members. Then again he might be weaker than them but he does have that as a last resort.
"Trust me, even I can take down that giant with one of my abilities." Sota said.
"Amir Gaoul? He is the strongest Key Spirit so I doubt it. How about you try against this one." Dusk said taking out another Spirit Shard.
"Go Nightbite!" Dusk calls out as he throws it and it becomes its true form. It is a black panther based Spirit with fangs like a saber-tooth tiger and purple crystal-like claws and spikes like Boost from Monsuno (An OC Spirit I made).
Sota raises a arm and uses imagine Breaker to cancel it.
It turns back into its Spirit Shard form and lands on the ground.
"What the?" Dusk questions surprised as Kir flies over and gives Nightbite and brings it back to Dusk. Dusk examines it.
"Imagine Breaker can cancel the supernatural." Sota said
"I see. Though it looks like Nightbite is ok though he needs rest." Dusk said.
"So even if you have powers hidden, you have to see that they are much stronger than what I am, and I managed to cancel your skills." Sota said.
Dusk frowns for a bit.
"I'll have to get stronger then." Dusk said.
"Hey Dusk we should see Roya and Noah and tell them about what's going on." Kir said making Dusk nod.
"Who are they?" He said.
"My older sister figure and my older brother figure. In fact Sachura was Noah's Spirit before Tusker happened." Dusk said as a look of sadness comes onto his face for a couple of seconds.
"What happpened?" He asked.
"Tusker was the former God of Spirits in the world where my Spirits came from. But he wanted to create a world for only Spirits and was going to commit genocide on the other races however he needed a vessel one many people thought was going to be a savior that would save the world though how that belief came about I don't know." Dusk starts giving Sota some context.
"I see, I have some spirits but they're different." Sota said.
"Interesting. To help find the savior he splits himself into six Spirits known as the Key Spririts who were hidden or entrusted to. While most of the Key Spirits were in a way in Tusker's camp one wasn't for he embodied the wind itself." Dusk said.
"I see." He said.
"Years later a man from the world of spirits came to another world which was called Calm. There he met a woman, and they did the deed however he died soon after." Dusk said.
"Those two were Dusk's parents." Kir explains.
"Really? Which one is related to Gilgamesh?" Sota said.
"My mother which I know now thanks to a book I found that belonged to her side of her family. Apparently a portal of some kind teleported an ancestor to Calm." Dusk said pulling out the book which was a diary of Dusk's ancestor.
"I see. Well it will be best if the Team knows about this." He said.
Dusk hands the book to Sota who sees it was in the Mesopotamian language.
"I can't read it." Sota said.
"I couldn't at first but luckily I found someone who could, and they taught me and Kir." Dusk said.
"That also led to Dusk wanting to learn more languages." Kir said.
"Anyways my mother who was pregnant at the time was brought to Calm due to a old man named Zico who had a powerful Dragon Spirit called Pyron. He trained and pushed my mother hard since he thought she was the one chosen by Amir Gaoul, but he was wrong. When a battle happened Amir Gaoul appeared to protect me who was still in my mother's womb. After that Zico realized his mistake and he sent my mother back to Calm though because of Amir Gaoul having to use her at the time and perhaps the training she became well she was awake but all the lights weren't on." Dusk said.
Sota understood and nodded.
"During the time she was like that I was taken into foster care which happened to be Noah's family. Noah had a bad disease but he was a kind person who looked after me and when he was bullied I beat down the bullies. Eventually when I was nine I started having dreams and I started breaking doors and gates as if doing so will take me to a new world. Noah came to me and asked why and I told him. He then gave me this as a birthday present which got a reaction from my mother when I visited her." Dusk said showing Sota the medallion that hangs on his waist.
"Hmmm, it must be special." He said.
"He said it resembles freedom." Dusk said with a fond smile as he touches it.
"Following that a teacher was killed by another one who was actually from the world of spirits. I believed he was from Tusk or Zymot though I forget. He tried to kill me but my mother stopped him. I tried to get answers but they ran off and then the cops showed and arrested me believing I was the killer. While they were transporting me Noah who was in a ambulance crashes the car with it though I didn't know it at the time as I ran to my special spot and that's Amir Gaoul appeared in front of me and take me to the world of Spirits. There I met Jiko and Roya who were battling a Zymot soldier. I then passed out and they finished the battle with Pyron defeating Zuigyu who belonged to the soldier and Jiko using his shards ties him up before taking his Spirit." Dusk said next.
"Then you have a lot to live up to." Sota said.
"Yes. During the early days I was placed under the care of Dumas who was the Shard Champion the strongest Shard Caster in the Country and he had a student named Mikey. Dumas would work his fields saying it is good for the body. I eventually met his rival Robes Redondo who was a very rich man and after challenging and losing to him I took Dumas' words to heart and became working the fields too. During my time there Dumas was taking care of wounded Zymots who were exiled from Zymot but they then sieged an attack but Dumas and Robes defeated them all." Dusk said as his face was a bit twisted but sadness and rage.
"is there anything else?" He asked.
Dusk sighs.
"Dumas had a cross like mark on his left palm. An inherited symbol of servitude that has run in his family for generations. He hated it and wanted to change his destiny and to him the title of Shard Caster brought him nothing but countless honor. His obsession became madness and he became a traitor and was working with Zymot which hurt Micky a lot since Dumas was his master and a second father to him since Dumas was the one who took him after the loss of his parents. Dumas tried to steal Amir Gaoul from me which he succeeded in removing him from my Shard Caster Marks but when he summons him, he failed to control Amir Gaoul and suffered from Spirit Rejection which made his mental state worse. Then when he retreated to Zymot that's when the Princess of Zymot Rebecca shown up exhausted and I learned of the true state of Zymot." Dusk said as he looks at the sword he was wielding as he remembers the man it originally belonged to.
"I understand." Sota nodded.
"Zymot was being ruled by Hugh who killed the king though later on he had Rebecca married him using the King as a puppet so either Hugh didn't really kill the King, or he was somehow controlling his corpse so in a way he did become the king rightfully, but he did that to get Pronimo who was sealed in Rebecca's Shard Mark before killing the king and Elda who was Rebecca's protecter. However, Pronima wasn't at complete strength, but I did skip a few parts like Hugh lying to Dumas that he will marry Rebecca and become King of Zymot, me getting Rambos and a new sword after a trial, Dumas and Robes' battle which I crashed and defeated Dumas' Spirit Slugna with Rambos and my fight with Dumas followed with one of Hugh's supporters called Glaudio killing Dumas right in front of me, Robes taking Slugna after Dumas' death, me killing Glaudio, Rambos defeating Glaudio's Spirit with me taking it, and Hugh leaving Rebecca alive as she escapes before arriving at the home of the Kalb-Hu." Dusk said.
"Okay, did you write this speech in your mind just now, because we don't have a lot of time." Sota was getting annoyed.
"Fine I'll skip to the end though first I should tell you the Kalb-Hu don't give birth like humans but instead lay eggs. When Hugh attacked to gain the other half of Pronimo Rebecca, some of the Kalb-hu, and all but one child didn't make it with Rebecca giving her Spirit to Roya." Dusk said as he becomes sad as he remembers the death of the children, Rebecca, and some of the Kalb-hu.
"Hugh also gained the other half of Pronimo's power." Kir said.
"I see. Sorry about that." He said.
"It's fine. I tell you later about everything between it and the end another time. At the end of me, Roya, Noah who had came into the world at the same time as me, but he appeared in a different location when he arrived, Zico, and my mother who came into the world sometime after me but I'm not sure how long after that were in Tusk. My mother was trying to get Amir Gaoul so she tried to poison me which led me giving him to her which caused a Spirit Rejection that killed her after she and I separated though Roya told me her last thoughts were of me." Dusk said with some regret, but he doesn't know if she would have come to her senses if he haven't given her Amir Gaoul.
"Damn." Sota said.
"Before I continue do you have a way to restore memories? A girl that was used to tried to revive Tusker after my mother's death but before his true resurrection lost her memories." Dusk asks.
Sota thinks. "Maybe the others."
"Ok. Another thing I should ask before continuing is that Noah has a deadly disease that if he is lucky he might live to be thirty years old. Do you or they have a way to cure him?" Dusk asks.
"Maybe Leonidas." Sota said.
"Is he a doctor?" Kir asks.
"A scientist in biological stuff." He said
"I see. Would I need to pay him to cure Noah?" Dusk asks as he was willing to do so if it means Noah is cured.
Sota stares at him. "He does that for free."
"Oh good. If he had required payment I still would have paid. I do have a decent amount of money." Dusk said.
"Hey Dusk you should continue the story." Kir said making Dusk nod.
"Right. During Tusker's true resurrection I have gotten all six Key Spirits and became Tusker though Tusker was in control. Ziko had died saving Roya from something else and his spirit appeared to help me. After I broke free from Tusker's control both me and Amir Gaoul freed ourselves from Tusker and defeated him. Then after that I decided to fight against Amir Gaoul but before we could start a portal took us back to Calm and after arriving I was channeling Amir Gaoul's power in my body and took flight. Eventually I learned the other five Key Spirits were with me as well and I was able to channel their powers in my body too though I can only use one at a time. That's when I realized when Tusker was defeated, I gained his power though I have limits due to my youth." Dusk said.
"Okay." Sota said.
"Eventually I left Calm and went other worlds and in one I met Kir and we have been a team ever since." Dusk said as he and Kir smile at each other.
"Okay, so the entire backstory is over?" Sota said.
"Yes though I skipped over a few parts. By the way are you guys overzealous over rules and such? Because there is a country called Neotopia in the World of Spirits and if you break the law even if its something minor and not something like murder you get executed." Dusk said.
"No, we just have morals." He said.
"Good. I would hate to deal with something like that again." Dusk said before a thought pops into his head.
"This Team Dark can't bring people back right?" Dusk asks as he could think of a few people they might bring back.
"Yes they can." He frowns.
"Crap. That means they can bring back some Shardcasters from my world." Dusk said with a frown.
"Wait do you guys have a way to do the same?" Kir asks.
"Kinda, the way we can do it is restricted in how we can do it." He said.
"Could it bring back the children and Rebecca who died when Hugh attacked the Kalb-Hu? As well as Elda and my mother?" Dusk asks with some hope.
"How long did they die?" Sota asked.
"A year." Dusk said.
Sota facepalms. "It's too much, the bodies would have been too useless to be restored with the Dragon Balls."
Dusk looks down sadden that it was not possible to bring them back. Kir sees this and frowns before perking up.
"Hey, Dusk just because their method won't work doesn't mean we can't find another way to do so." Kir said making Dusk look and smiles gratefully at Kir.
"Yeah, you're right Kir. In fact, maybe once I aged up a bit and master more of Tusker's powers maybe I could bring them back myself." Dusk said holding on the hope they could still be brought back somehow one day.
"Well, let's go." Sota said.
Both Dusk and Kir nod as they follow him to their new home.
Note: Okay now Dusk is a new Sub Team Light member made by Gundam, he's related to Gilgamesh and his ancestor doesn't like him as you can see, Gundam helped write most since it's his character.
