Bell and his grandparents were sitting at a table on the balcony where they can see the large garden area. He was enjoying delicious delicacies while his grandmother was drinking tea and his grandfather some beer.
"My mother," Bell asked. "What was she like?"
Hera finished her tea and sat her cup on the small plate. "Meteria was kind, pure, and was eternally grateful to live despite her condition."
"Her condition?"
Hera explained that his mother Meteria and her sister were born an illness that can never be cured. But, with Meteria was unable to leave her room with out help. Bell was saddened to hear about his mother and that she died after she gave birth to him.
When Bell asked about his aunt Alfia, Hera told her that Aflia was one of the most talented sorceress that Orario has ever seen. Despite her status as a sorceress, she proved herself to be an excellent combatant in physical close quarters which makes an effective member in the Hera Familia's vanguard.
The boy was in awe about his aunt and asked about her whereabouts. Hera glanced at Zeus in worry which was noticed by Bell. Hera revealed that she along with his uncle Zald had joined Erebus and Evilius met their end when they attacked Orario in order for its adventurers for them to grow stronger.
Bell was shocked at what his Aunt had done and asked for it's purpose and why she didn't want to see him. Hera guessed that Alfia wanted to create a safer world for him and didn't want Bell to carry on the burden.
Bell understood on what they are trying to accomplish. But he didn't approve of their actions even though his grandparents were forced out the city and what happened to him. When he asked Zeus about his father, he was about to answer.
But Hera cut him off by saying. "He's a sad excuse of a man who cowardly runs on the first sight of danger and nerve of him impregnating MY sweet Meteria!"
"Hera!" Zeus complained. "He was asking me!?"
"And I was answered him for you." She crossed her arms. "Honestly, I never understood what Meteria sees in him. He doesn't have a backbone, he easily gets beaten up, and he's not even one your top members. All I know is the only reason why you kept him around is because he's just as perverted as you!"
"Your bringing this up again!?" Zeus groaned.
Bell sweatdropped as he watched his grandparents argued over his late father. He wonder what his life would be if Hera was apart of his childhood. Maybe it would immediately learn how more dysfunctional his family could be.
It took almost five minutes to calm down with Hera cleared her throat and said.
"Sorry if we made things difficult for you."
"It's okay," Bell assured her. "So where are we?"
"We are at Cranel Manor." Zeus answered proudly.
"You serious?" Bell raised an eyebrow and glanced at his grandmother.
Hera responded. "It's what we have decided ever since I found out about you."
Bell shrugged and continued. "So how did you get the money to pay for this?"
"Leading a familia and building it up to be the strongest over a thousand years maybe grueling dear," She replied. "But the results of being on top of the mountain are quite satisfying. Especially when you have secret fortunes even your parents, the rest our late children and the guild didn't know about. Which we combined it to build this very manor we are in just in case a similar event happened to us. Although we had to make some sacrifice of artifacts which we had to wait until they are priceless we've collected, before we ever settled into Orario."
"Yes and I always knew that making a floating island would come in handy," Zeus huffed proudly and shouted at the sky. "NOT SO RIDICULOUS NOW IS IT!"
Bell stared in disbelief. "We're on a floating island?!"
"Yep."
"And you didn't bring this up to me when I was a kid or brought me here instead of pretending to be dead?!"
Hera pinched the bridge of her nose. "That's what I have been trying to tell him when I finally caught up to him and he didn't follow our agreement."
"Oh please Hera," Zeus rolled his eyes. "If you saw him when he is just a kid, you would spoil him immediately by a second and force him to meet your expectations."
"I wouldn't spoil him that much," She protested. "And what's wrong about him meeting my expectations?"
Zeus scoffed. "You know what I mean."
"Anyway," Hera changed the subject in an irritated tone. "I'm sure your wondering how we ended up here since we're on an floating island."
Bell nodded.
"It's because of this." Zeus brought a rainbow crystal themed pendant.
"That pendant," Bell's eyes widened as he recognized the necklace. "That's the one Fels gave me when I escaped from Orario."
"I'm surprised that Fels and Ouranus managed get one since not many people can have a teleporting necklace," Hera commented. "It is called a Bifrost Pendant. It is something the country Altena has been working on for a very long time. It has the ability to teleport you at a random location so the only way to make a direct trip is to link it to a Bifrost Gate. But yours isn't linked to our gate so Zeus had to use his to bring you here and linked your pendant to it."
"It was pure luck when I found you," Zeus sighed. "And if your pendant had brought any where else then you would have succumbed to your injuries."
Bell became silent at the possibility. Zeus and Hera looked at him with suspicion.
"What happened at Orario?" Hera demanded.
The boy took a deep breath and explained the whole thing. From being slapped and insulted by his advisor, to be beaten by the ones he called friends and then being hunted everyone he ever met except a few people including the girl he loves. As you can tell, his grandparents didn't take the news VERY VERY well.
Both Gods kept a calm demeanor, but their way of breathing and their eyes betray it. Bell could feel a great amount pressure of anger and a divine vengeful aura emitting from them. The next thing he noticed is that the sky began to darken, black clouds began to converge into one with winds howling, lightning lighting up skies and thunder roaring among the clouds.
"So it would seem that Orario's senses has dulled in our absence." Hera spoke darkly.
"It would appear so," Zeus agreed as the state of the sky returned to normal. "There would be hell to pay if you had died on your wounds Bell."
"Well, look on the bright side," Bell said. "I'm still alive and I still have the chance to kick in the balls Grandpa when I feel like it."
"Oh come on Bell!" Zeus protested. "Have some mercy on your dear old grandpa!"
"You ditched me and gave me some advices that would land me in trouble when it comes to women!"
"I agree with Bell," Hera spoke with Zeus looking at her with a betrayed look. "But that will have to wait for now. Because we have something to show you."
Zeus' eyes lit up as he and Hera rose from their seats with Bell following them. Bell followed his grandparents to back to the portrait room were saw more parts of the room and pictures about his family. He stopped as his grandparents stood infront of a portrait.
Bell went between them and saw the portrait looking they're looking at. His eyes widen up in surprise and agape. The portrait would turned out to be him who is around 4 or 5 years old sitting on the lap of a woman with hair as white as his and had heterochromia with a green right eye and a left grey eye. She was sitting a fancy chair and next to them was a black haired man with red eyes just like his own.
They all had smiles on their faces and wearing fancy outfits. Tears began pouring out of his eyes, his mind couldn't process as he fell to his knees and cried silently. Hera and Zeus looked at him with sadness in their eyes
They knelt down and hugged their grandson. Hera and Zeus assured him that they are with him. Bell managed to speak.
"It never happened to me."
Zeus spoke him. "We could only think of the possibility my boy."
"Yeah." Bell agreed as felt better.
They helped him and Hera said that their is still more to show him. She wiped his tears with handkerchief and walked to the door with Zeus. Before Bell could follow them, he gave one last look at the portrait of the life with his parents could have been.
"Wait for me in the afterlife... Mom and Dad."
Bell walked on way his way out of the room. He followed his grandparents to which looked like the living room of the manor. The boy saw his grandparents at a small table and couch near the fire
He noticed on the table their is a large case. Bell looked his grandparents who smiled and gestured him to open it. The Rabbit lifted up lid and revealed to be a massive red-black greatsword.
Bell picked it by the handle and began to inspect it. The sword has a broader blade with an uneven bladehead and a jagged blade edge. Its main colors are a mixture of black and crimson with jagged edges along its grey handle and blade.
But despite it's appearance, this sword has a power within and gives off a familiar feeling.
"Who made this sword?" He asked in awe as began to carry it with ease.
"It was forged by Motsognir and two of his dwarven captains of his familia." Zeus answered.
"Infused with the teeth of the Leviathan and Horn of the Behemoth," Hera revealed. "Along with a strand of my precious hair and a tooth from Zeus."
Bell widen his eyes and turned to his grandfather who rubbed his cheek indicating to where Hera had knocked it out.
"Perfect to be called an heirloom," Hera prided. "As no weapon would befit in the hands of our last son!"
Bell felt flattered then one thing comes to his mind. "You paid them to make such a sword like this? and Where's sheath for this?
"We didn't pay them." Zeus rubbed the back of his head and Hera chuckled lightly at this.
"What?"
"To put it simply," Zeus continued. "Motsognir owes Hera a solid for helping him in the past before we ever settled into Orario and apparently a lot of Gods owed her even before we descended."
Bell had a slight shiver over the detail. As Hephaestus had the moniker the Divine Smith whose skills can only be rivaled by Goibniu. Hera has earned the title the Divine Baroness.
From what he had heard rumors about his grandmother, it is said that she had a selective sense on who to choose to join in her familia or came up with difficult and grueling methods to push her children to a higher level. Even without her children she can still be terrifying in her own way.
Hera spoke. "And it wasn't always like that, Maxim once wielded it against Black Dragon and... you know the rest."
Bell grew silent as he stared at his new weapon and understood. A permanent reminder of the strength of the one eyed black dragon.
"Where's the sheathe of this?
"You don't need it."
The rabbit noticed that the red markings, the gemstone, the black surface of upper blade the began to glow in a crimson light. The bandages on Bell's right arm had harmlessly burnt off cleanly and it began to be inscribed with red runic tattoos. It covered Bell's entire right arm as the glowed died down.
Zeus response to this. "I wasn't expecting that."
Hera said. "Well, we did ask for a sword befitting for a grandson."
"So this is a living weapon right?"
His grandparents were surprised at his question with Zeus answering. "Yes, but not just any living weapon, it is also a bound weapon. Motsognir's captains Brok and Eitri who are now you are now contracted to you has placed special enchantments on your sword."
"What kind of enchantments?"
Hera answered. "When you throw that sword, it will return to you and with enough practice and concentration. You can even control it with your thoughts. Since the sheath is not necessary. It can just be summoned through your tattoo and those tricks can only be done once it is linked to your falna. Which Zeus had already gave while you were still resting eh... Hope you don't mind."
"It's okay." Bell assured. "But still your joking right?"
"Just give it a try," Hera said. "But not in here."
"And by the way," Zeus cut in. "Why did you assume that it was living weapon?"
"Oh...I uh used to have one as an adventurer back in Orario," Bell revealed as he thought about the Hestia Familia. "My former Goddess Hestia had begged Hephaestus to make a knife for me and eventually... you know what happened."
Hera scoffed at the mention of Hestia. "She clearly lacks the experience to properly lead a familia and sounds to me you need to learn how to use sword properly."
"Really?" Bell looked eager to learn and spend some quality time from Hera and try out the sword recalling trick. On the contrast, Zeus face palmed knowing what Bell doesn't know what he is getting himself into.
"But Before that," Hera said. "We need to think a new name for you just in case those bastards in the city didn't put a bounty on you."
"I have an idea." Zeus popped up as he is eager to name him something attractive for the ladys and get Bell himself a Harem.
"Not from you." Hera shot him with a glare which frightened him as she still held a grudge against him for not making her apart Bell's childhood and understood his intentions.
"How about... Arthur Morningstar?"
