Syrus's pov

The incident with the werewolves have long passed and things have relatively gone back to normal. Besides Aniki being in his coma… Although most of us got detention for how long we were absent from school, Principal Rebecca gave us only 5 days of detention. In her opinion it was so we could make up all the missed work we did in class. So it was like one giant study group.

"It should be a crime to have this much work…" Aster complained after running his hand through his hair for the umpteenth time. Jim cracked a smile. "Well what can you do when this is what we need to do to move on to the next grade."

"I need to finish all this if I'm gonna finally graduate!" Fujiwara whined looking at the 7 different assignments he had to do for his classes. Alexis rolled her eyes before grabbing his papers and looking through them.

"Luckily I remember what my brother already went through for these classes…" She mused remembering how she had to get her brother to sit down and do his own work. She took the green haired delinquent aside and showed him what he needed to do. I sigh looking down at my own stack of papers. Blair and Chazz on either side of me look over at what I had.

"Sweet Jesus I forgot we had to write a book report on that Damn book we read in class…." the black haired male next to me grumbled heavily, he looked annoyed to death by the sudden revelation

"Well Romeo and Juliet wasn't the most riveting piece of literature out there…" Hassleberry muttered. Nearly the whole group had to write the book report except Alexis Stella Aki Fujiwara Aster and Blair who had different English teachers than the 5 males who were suffering through the stuff.

"At least if we get the work done, we can help Judai when he recovers write this crap out. Can't say much for his drama class tho." Jim looked to Aster and Johan who both sweated at this realization.

"We'll think of something." The two said in unison which caught the others off guard. Chazz just cackled at the two of them who both blushed out of embarrassment.

"They don't sound too positive that's for sure.." Stella evaluated, causing both Aster and Johan to groan. It was nearing Christmas break and the last day of school for Christmas break is going to be a dance.

It was my big chance to finally ask Blair out. I know the rest of us were going to partner up, well besides Johan. I had heard he volunteered to actually help with the music and be a live singer.

I do hope Aniki wakes up before then, it was just next week. The rest of us however had to get dressed up and ask out our dates. I'm hoping to be the first in our group but that requires getting Blair alone for a minute.

Thankfully Blair wanted to go check on Aniki today so Jim offered to give us a ride, in his truck to the nearest spot of where the village would be.

So after detention was done and everyone ride the evening bus to get home, Jim took me and Blair aside in his truck and drove us out of town through the winding woods surrounding Willow.

This would be my first visit to the actual pack village as well as Blair's so we were both excited and filled with nerves as we got closer to a place we both could've only imagined.

Jim thankfully led us inside so nobody could question why two humans had slipped inside the gate, as Jim put it. Apparently there was a invisible shield around the Village that kept it mostly hidden from humans and that the deterrents were in place to keep them from getting too close.

What I wasn't expecting was to be greeted by a teal blue haired male standing next to Jehu. "Yo. Glad you could come to visit him." Jehu greeted us as we approached him. Jim nodded his head while me and Blair looked to the man next to Jehu.

Jehu noticed mine and Blair's wariness as he introduced the male next to him. "Don't mind him. This is my father Jackov, the Alpha of the Willow pack." Suddenly it came back to me. I had forgotten we had met him back in the Levia pack, according to Jim he wasn't exactly meant to be there.

Blair nodded with a smile and a friendly wave. "I remember you. Is your wife still running Levia?" Jackov nodded but began to speak. "She's here visiting the children as it's almost Christmas." Both me and Blair nodded as Jehu waved his hand. "Cmon he's in a room."

The two of us followed Jehu as Jim had to do some things for his family while he was in Willow but that he would be done when we were ready to head back.

Going into the hospital I could smell disinfectant as Jehu led us to Aniki's room which wasn't that far off. It was a simple room with goodies semi lining the window of people wanting him to feel better.

It was rather sweet. I also took notice of Haori and her son Haou working on Aniki as they changed the bedding he was laying on as well as doing his vitals.

"Can we come in?" My words startled the younger brunette as he yelped in surprise dropping the bedding on the ground making Haori turn in surprise. "Well, so nice of you both to come by and visit!" She smiled widely at us as me and Blair go through the door. Blair walked over and helped Haou with the bedding.

"Sorry if we startled you." She mused politely as the brunette blinked looking between the two of them. Haori smiled patting her son on the shoulder. "Sorry, we were just cleaning Judai up."

Haou must've put two and two together and gaped. "Are you friends of my cousin?" I took a better look at Haou and from what Johan, Jim and Jehu had said about the brunette was right.

He could've been Aniki's twin for all we knew the two looked eerily the same minus the color difference in eyes and the fact Haou had darker roots than said cousin.

Blair nodded happily clasping her hands together in front of her. "Mhm! I'm Blair Flannigan. This is Syrus Truesdale." She gestured over to me after introducing herself and I just smiled and waved at the nearly twin cousin.

"Oohhh! Isn't that wonderful cousin? Your friends came to see you!" He cheered close to the unconscious brunette. Aniki of course made no response but Haori and Haou left us to our own devices in the hospital room as they went to do some other odd job.

Blair sat down next to me as I looked at Aniki my eyes steaming slightly, wanting to tear up. Blair gripped my hand in hers looking at me. "Ne, Syrus? Neither you or Chazz bring up how you met Judai-kun. How did you meet him anyway?"

I was kinda surprised by her question. Normally the explanation of us saying Judai was the new student and he became our friend was because we were outcasts and not wanted. It wasn't the complete truth but nobody argued against it.

"Let me see…" I thought carefully as I remembered.

{Ten years ago}

School days back then were kinda lonely. I was off by myself avoiding the bullies that often used me for mediocre homework that they could've figured out since it was kindergarten work.

Hello? Hello? Anybody out there? Cause I don't hear a sound

I was hiding out under a school bench cowering because Beckett was looking for me once again. I clenched my eyes shut and stiffled my sniffles the best I could.

I could hear the other children playing on the playground nearby while I stayed hidden, fearful and wishing someone would come by that wasn't the bully.

Alone, Alone. I don't really know where the world is, but I miss it now.

My luck was short lived as I felt my shirt get pulled out from under the table and with a cry of surprise i'm lifted off the ground by half an inch as I look up at Beckett. "There you are Sy! We got homework again tonight, ready to get to work?" He chuckled

"B-Beckett y-you should really do your own…"

I'm out on the edge screaming my name like a fool

"What was that shrimp?" He gave me a glare which shut me up right away. But not the next person who approached us.

"Why don't you do your own homework and let him go?" I blinked looking over at a semi short brown haired boy with twin toned hair in a baby blue jacket and tan pants with black sneakers.

At the top of my lungs. Some times when i close my eyes

"And who's talking to you? You can barely speak English you little Asian freak" the boy didn't back down from Beckett, how brown eyes unwavering as he smirked.

"Race me then! I win he's off the hook. I lose and we both do your homework." I looked in awe of this boy coming to my defense as Beckett drops me on my butt before marching over to the brunette.

I pretend I'm alright but it's never enough.

"How we doing it?" Beckett grunted wanting it to be over so he could brag about how much better he was than two of us. The boy raised his hand to point at a stop sign about 20 feet away.

"First one back wins!" The brunette grinned as the two took a stance and took off at the count of three, the transfer boy having the biggest lead as it took no time for him to make it back around and skid to a stop next to me.

Cause my echo, echo is the only voice coming back.

"Whoa…" my eyes widen looking at him from behind my glasses as Beckett dragged his feet back to us panting. "Y-your off… the hook, Sy…" Beckett collapsed on his back while his friends fanned him and gave him water.

I looked at the brunette as he looked back at me and together we shared a laugh before walking away from the collapsed bully.

Shadow, Shadow, Is the only friend that I have.

"You didn't have to risk doing his homework for my sake, stranger." I said politely not remembering the transfer student's name.

He shook his head and waved his hand in a manner in front of his face. "No way, guys like that walk all over nice people. People who don't deserve it."

I nodded my head at his answer with a small smile on my lips. The brunette looked me over before sticking his hand out to me. "He called you Sy right? My names Yuki Judai."

"Ju.. je…?" I remember the teacher explaining that if the transfer told you his name that it was reversed because they were taught to say their sir name first before their first name. "Can I just call you big bro?"

Judai nodded his head as he spoke up. "Big brother in Japanese is Aniki. Think you could say that?" I tested the word out on my lips. "Anki…aniki."

Judai slapped me on the back cheering. "You did it Sy!" I laughed at his enthusiasm as I took his hand that he had offered before. "Syrus.. Syrus Truesdale. Nice to meet you Aniki.."

Judai offered me a kind smile as he shook my hand. "Mhm! Likewise!"

Blair smiled warmly at me speaking up as I finished my trip down memory lane. "That's an amazing way to meet someone." I nodded my head as I looked back at Aniki still unconscious on the bed before reaching over and squeezing his hand.

"Come back to us okay, Aniki?" Blair put her hand over mine as we held onto Aniki for an immeasurable amount of time. My face slowly started to get flush at the contact with Blair's hand over mine as I looked at her out of the corner of my eye.

Her long navy hair was side swept behind her ear and tied back in a long braid to keep it neat with her brown eyes looking over Aniki hopefulness in her gaze.

"B-Blair?" My voice constricted in my throat as I was choked up by her beauty. Her brown eyes look to me her eyes filled with wonder and curiosity. "What is it?" I blink my eyes looking at her more clearly, my glasses trying to fog up on me from my flusterness.

"B-Blair… I-I've known you a while and we always hang out whenever we're not with the others… a-and I've enjoyed our time together greatly… w-would you ever consider going out with me?" I look away my eyes clenched shut as my face blushes more red than even Aniki's jacket.

I just felt like melting into the floor with how hot my face was. Blair didn't waste a moment giving me an answer. "I'd love to." Eh? My eyes blink open and return my gaze to her confused.

"R-really?" My jaw dropped slightly as she nodded her head in response. She kicked her legs smiling at me almost beaming. "I've been waiting for ages for you to ask!" My gaze turned into that of a dumbfounded one as I look away.

"R-really… I-I'm really glad.." the blush never leaves my face as we eventually say goodbye to Aniki and pray that he would wake up soon as we left the hospital our hands linked together.

{Now}

I watched in disbelief as one after another, Johan ran out of the hospital and then Judai still in his hospital gown, chases after the teal haired male. I look to Jim in disbelief. "Theres no way… There's no way that he could've forgotten Johan right?"

Jim ruffled the back of his hair as Chazz and I look down the hall at the two disappearing out the double doors into the snow. "There's no way of telling who he remembers or how much…" Jim speculated while Chazz got in his face in a complete uproar that I had to yank him off the taller male. "BULLSHIT! HE REMEMBERS YOU AND YOU BOTH MET HIM THE SAME DAY!" I could tell from the look on Chazz's face that he was stressed beyond belief.

As a short a time as we've had knowing Johan Jim and Hassleberry, I could see that Chazz really opened up which he technically never did to people, only after a while and a few dozen insults of course. He must've really sympathized with Johan.

"Maybe we need a Psych Doctor to look him over…?" I suggested making the two look at me with bewilderment. I shrugged my shoulders in responce and try to clarify my words carefully. "I-i mean if a specialist looked at him we could see what we were dealing with."

Jim raised an eyebrow before finally pushing the black haired male off of his arms causing Chazz to accidentally take a tumble to the floor, completely caught off guard. Chazz just wordlessly got to his feet brushed off his jacket before wacking Jim in the back causing the male to sag just a bit from the hard slap.

"So who do we know who's a psych doctor?" Jim inputted after straightening his back out sending a massive glare to Chazz who ignored it or didn't acknowledge it. I smiled knowingly. "Blair's mom is a Psyche doctor, She told me all about it during one of our study sessions." I reach for my phone and start to make the call.

"Hey Blair?"

"Yea its me, I was wondering if your mom wouldn't mind making an opening for someone this week."

"Its for Judai…He woke up today, but not all his memories are here…"

"Johan…He doesn't remember him…Yea I was hoping your mom could see how much he actually remembers."

"Great, we'll get him to her office some time tomorrow."

"Thanks so much Blair…And I'll see you tonight for our date."
