Judai's pov
"You meant the world to me….You still do…!" He quickly cupped the brunette's cheeks making his cheeks burn at the contact as his melted brown eyes look into liquid emerald green eyes. "I'm…I'm not going to give up…I'm not going to give you up….Judai Yuki, I will reclaim your heart and make you mine again…"
That wouldn't stop running through my mind…
That this blue hair green eyed god of a human being could speak such words that made my heart quiver and my head hurt with confusion and familiarity at the same time. Being carried in his arms wasn't something familiar, but the smell coming off of him did.
Why…? Why were all of these things familiar to me… and yet I try to recall any image of him, I'm drawing a blank? My friends… The ones who visited me. Chazz. Syrus. Jim. They knew him. They said I knew him.
Even my cousin who spoke normally of his own love life, claimed his boyfriend was the brother to the blue haired green eyed man who ran from my side before. The look of pure anguish on his face.
You couldn't fake such a reaction… but why..? Why did my body respond and made me jump out of bed even tho moments ago I had been unconscious for over 3 weeks?
I stared out the window at the snowy scene tho the window was heavily fogged up. I look at the phone next to my bed. When I woke up after everyone left my Aunt Haori gave it to me saying that one of the boys held on to it for me since I've been out of it.
I briefly looked at it seeing pictures that had been taken on my phone. My eyes widen slightly seeing a particular image of the blue haired male who had been there earlier. It looked like he was on the stage at school preforming with Jim and Hassleberry. I couldn't recall when really it could've been taken… My only thought could've been the talent show.
So many events I can recall… but why is my memory of those days different..? Why can't I recall seeing him there..? The one memory that eludes me the most is of me in a bedroom… i'm clearly having a conversation with someone… but nobody comes to mind… there's muffled singing in the background as well.. another at school where i'm alone in a classroom, and someone is obviously there… I could feel their lips, their hands on me… It's not something that could be made up.
I remember the blue wolf from my memories… I see him several times, the same one the blue haired male turned into. I was carrying him… running through the woods away from someone wanting to kill us. Us nearly drowning in the near frozen river.
Jim and Hassleberry looking for us that day. Moments I remember the wolf being in…. and yet the one I can't remember entirely is the man the wolf becomes…
Werewolves. Something that shouldn't be easy to explain but exists. Several of my friends being werewolves. Jim. Hassleberry. Atticus. Axel. Adrian.
"Yo." The door to my hospital room is open and a dark blue haired male is standing in a thick coat and pants with boots laced up. His amber orange eyes look in my direction. "J…Jehu?" The name escapes my lips. He walks into the room the door staying adjar where I could see my now out of uniform cousin standing there a passing smile on his face as he waved at me.
"Ah so you do remember things. Yet your memories are fuzzy of my brother? Is this the fate of the Alpha?" Jehu spoke with almost conviction, as if he was certain this was the outcome.
"If it's the Alpha's will…?" I said with slight confusion. Jehu groaned pinching his forehead. "Yubel, I know you can hear me even inside this brat. What's your assessment since you returned to him?" Yubel appeared next to the bed startling me with a sharp gasp as the demonic creature looked at Jehu.
"Freeing Johan from his mental state took more than just strength and the ability to do so. It clearly erased away most of Judais encounters with him in his memories. He can't remember Johan being in most of his memories… and yet the wolf form remains the strongest part of it…" Yubel cupped their chin thinking heavily on the matter as Jehu looked from the semi visible creature to my confused self sitting on the bed.
"S-some moments in my head… I know I was having a conversation or doing something with someone… but it's like someone spilled white out over ever part he was meant to be in…" I stammered nervously my grip in a tout clench on the blanket covering me.
Haou looked at the two of us his eyes more fixated on me as if he was seeing something nobody else could. "It's not broken." Jesus whipped his head back to my cousin his shoulder stiff. "What is it?"
Haou blinked and looked to Jehu then to me my brown eyes meeting his golden yellow ones. "My powers are letting me see things you guys can't see… the mate connection isn't broken. It's just being suppressed. Whatever is going on in my cousin's head and the connection are one and the same."
I looked at my cousin befuddled. "S-so if one gets fixed the other will too..?" Three nods answered my question, tho that didn't take away my biggest problem. What in the world could fix it?
"Johan." Yubel answered my thoughts making be blink in surprise looking at them. "What do you mean?" Jehu pinched his forehead sighing while my cousin approached my bed and held my hand. "Human beings heal in special ways. The easiest way, is through human contact. You spend enough time around Johan and I'm positive that not only the connection will be back to normal but so will your memories of him." He pat my hand gingerly a smile crossing his almost twin like face.
"T-then when can I get out of here and head back home?" I look at the two who actually started to crack a smile on their faces. "Actually Mama is writing up the discharge papers. She wanted to be the one to take you home. We came to get you dressed." Jehu pulled a bag that had been keeping the hospital bed room door open out and laid it on the bed. Inside were fresh clothes, shoes and a thick jacket.
"Get out of that bed and let's get you home cousin." Haou chirped with joy as a smile spread across my face. Jehu came closer to the bed acting as a support in case I fell as I prepared my body to get out of bed. My feet landed on the surprisingly warm floor, considering how frosty it was outside.
Jehu pushed me towards the bathroom door where I went to work shedding my hospital garb and old underwear, digging through and looking at each item of clothing. From thick dark pants to a bright red jacket to even a thick plaid winter hat that you saw most lumberjacks wearing.
Getting the clothes on I took my time getting my shoes on as standing on my own was a littl tricky when trying to shove my feet into shoes. Thankfully I manage to get my feet into the thick winter boots as Haou opened the bathroom door seeing me dressed to go outside.
"This is something from the group." He shoved a pair of thick insulated gloves at me. They looked expensive, there's no way my friends could've afford it… unless Aster paid for it of course.
"Those idiots…" I muttered slipping my hands inside. I blink in surprise when I see Jehu with a pair of matching earmuffs and a scarf. "From the whole family." 'Family'?' my only thought could've gone to mine but then i saw an embroiderment on the scarf that made me tearful. 'To Judai with love from the Andersens.' I look up at Jehu who struggled to hide his flushing face. "Mom knitted them as a thank you… for everything."
I took the scarf and wrapped it around my neck a slight blush framing my face. It was soft as were the earmuffs. My cousin then ran up to me and slung his arm through mine as I laugh out in surprise looking at him.
"Let's go!" He cheered tugging me along with Jehu making a gruff chuckle of a noise as he followed behind us as we left the hospital room with Jehu sliding my cellphone into my pocket as we went to the front end of the hospital seeing my Aunt all geared up with winter stuff a broad smile on her face nearly making her glasses fog up.
"There's my nephew. How you feeling Judai?" She crossed the floor in seconds to sweep me up into a tight hug which I graciously returned. "I'm okay, Aunt Haori." She pulled away to ruffle my bangs which stuck out from under the cap as she turned to the door and got the three of us out of the hospital.
She shoved us all into a suv style car before taking off away from the hospital. The air outside was thick with cold and snow the ground covered in it but wasn't up to our knees to make it impossible to walk through.
I ended up cramped between my cousin and Jehu, who had more muscle mass than the two of us combined. "Jehu why you so massive?" Haou said full of sass and sarcasm. Jehu looked annoyingly at my cousin who just looked back deadpanned while the blue haired Andersen got flustered at his comment. "Shut up you twig." Haou pouted crossing his arms, his elbows nearly digging into my ribs.
"Both of you turds shut up and give Judai some space." My Aunt retorted looking back at us. Her comment shut the couple up in seconds, not wanting to angered the woman who was driving the car as she got us through and back onto the road leading to town. I let my mind wander as the car twist and turn on the road. I know the other two were eager to bite my ear off or at least talk it off but I was too out of it. Feeling everything again was strange after being unconscious for 3 weeks. What had I missed out on?
I checked todays date. The 25th..? No way it could be December already? I double checked and let out a sharp exhale. It was… I woke up on Christmas Day… "Christmas…" Haou looked at me his yellow eyes gleaming with excitement. "Mhm. Merry Christmas Judai!" I looked at Haou as realization crossed my thoughts. 'He came away from his family to be there along with everyone else…'
My stroke of chance came in the form of the car hitting a ditch and the sharp hissing noise of the car's wheel deflating. I leaped over Haou as the car skeeted to a stop my Aunt yelling at me at the top of her lungs for jumping out of the car like an idiot. "Sorry Aunt Haori!" I started running down the road. My legs not getting me very far as Haou and Jehu yanked me to a stop.
"Where the hell do you think your going??" Haou scolded but his eyes took notice of me gripping the scarf tightly in my hands. Jehu's orange eyes twinkled with humor as a smirk crossed his face.
"You'll never make it there by foot." I looked back at him as I started walking. "I don't care! I have to try!" I huffed as I took off running once more.
{3rd pov}
Haou looked at Jehu shaking his head at the running figure of his cousin trying to make it back to town. "He's gonna get lost before he gets there." He jabbed. He knew what he wanted his lover to do but the bigger male wasn't taking the hint.
Haori was evaluating the tire situation as she was using a jack to replace the current one. Haou glanced at his mom before looking at Jehu again. "If he gets hurt before he gets there, he's gonna blame us." Jehu grumbled annoyed as he pinched his forehead. He tore off his jacket and threw it at his petite lover before stretching his back out.
"Tell your mom imma drag him back to the house asap so he doesn't miss dinner." Haku smiled at his boyfriends words his yellow eyes shimmering with pride over the sweet man in front of him as he broke into a heavy stride his body shifting as he sped down the road after Judai catching the brunette with ease.
"J-Jehu??" The brunette cried with surprise seeing the dark blue wolf running with much ease next to him as he let out a bark. "What? Get on your back??" Judai exclaimed with surprise but Jehu wasn't giving the brunette an option as he ran through the brunettes legs knocking him onto his back before the large wolf took off running tho this time through the trees instead of in the open.
"Ahhhhhh! Jehu, slow down!!!" Judai cried out. Haou chuckled walking back to his mom's vehicle a content smile across his face. "Good luck cousin~"
