Hey guys, it's time for another chapter! I'm super excited to say that the story has a new cover with art of Cal and Luna! The artist is extremely talented, and you should check out her work! Her name is Leu_sile on Twitter and Instagram! I really love what she made! I might ask her to make more art of them for important scenes in the story. As for the story, I hope you've liked it so far! Finally, here's the chapter!

Ch. 12: The Second Sister

(Luna's POV)

Having already been to Zeffo, traversing it wasn't as difficult as it was the first time. Cal and I pretty much knew where we were going. Plus, BD-1 had a detailed map of all the areas we had been to in the past. We did have to ask him for directions a couple times. It's not like we have photographic memories or anything.

During the trek to our chosen spot on the map, I couldn't shake the feeling that Cal had something on his mind. He was quieter than usual. He was still his cherry self, but I could tell he was bothered by something.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked him. He had to be day-dreaming because he jumped a bit when I asked him the question.

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?" I repeated with a laugh.

"Y-Yeah! I was just thinking about something," he said. I didn't say anything and just looked at him, waiting for him to tell me what it was. He sighed and began telling me.

"Do you remember the other day when you walked up to Cere and me talking near the hologram table? When she said she was bringing up bad memories?"

I tried to remember what he was talking about, and the memory hit me.

"Oh yeah! I had asked her what she was telling you, and she said she would tell me some other time. She still hasn't, though."

Cal looked at me with a surprised look on his face.

"She hasn't?"

I shook my head.

"Nope. Was it something important?" I asked.

"I was hoping she would tell you, but I guess it can't hurt if I do. She was talking about why she stopped being a Jedi. She used to have a padawan named Trilla. One day the Empire found them, and she said Trilla didn't survive the attack. After that, she gave up being a Jedi out of guilt. That's the gist of it," he explained to me. I frowned and looked down at the ground.

"That's horrible! Why didn't she tell me?"

"I'm sure it's not you. Maybe she's just been busy and forgot about it," Cal said, trying to cheer me up. I hope that's true. I haven't had any bad interactions with Cere, so I don't think she would be mad at me for anything.

"I hope so. I hate being an annoyance to people. I'm always self-conscious about it, especially with new people," I admitted. Cal looked at BD and then back at me.

"You're not an annoyance to us, Luna. Trust me, you're probably the most likable out of everyone on the Mantis. I'd bet money that Cere and Greez would agree with me too."

I tore my eyes away from the ground and looked to see him smiling at me. Damn it, how could I not smile back after he said that? He should be a therapist or counselor when he's older.

"Thanks, Cal, I try to be since I'm the newest member of the team…So, that's what you've been thinking about?" I asked. He nodded and put his hands in his pockets as we walked.

"Yeah, it's just been in the back of my mind ever since she told me. I only think about it for a moment. I think about what happened to her padawan. What if that happens to us? What if the Empire suddenly finds out where we are and imprisons or kills us? It's just something that crosses my mind every now and then," he said, his voice growing quiet. I put my hand on his arm, trying to come up with something to say.

"I completely get that. I worry about that too sometimes. But, I think you and I have always known that our lives would never be the same after Order 66. Our lives will always be in danger until the Empire is taken down. When I decided to come with you the day we met, I made that choice knowing it might put me in more danger than I was already in. The thing is, I'd rather try to live my life fighting for what I believe in than hiding away as someone I'm not. Does that make sense?" I asked him.

"Yeah, and I agree with everything you just said. I kind of wish she hadn't told me that, but I did ask her about it first…" he trailed off. He then shook his head and tightened his fist in front of him. "...I've decided that I'm going to stop thinking about it. If I do, you have permission to slap me."

I tilted my head at him and resisted the urge to laugh.

"I would need to be a mind reader to know that."

"True. Okay, if I look like I'm thinking about it, then you can slap me."

"Okay, I can do that," I replied, cracking my knuckles in front of him. He raised his hands in a defensive position and shook his head.

"I was kidding! But anyway, thanks for talking with me about it. I have a bad habit of keeping things to myself and forgetting that talking it out always makes me feel better," he told me. I nodded and patted his arm again.

"It's no problem at all! You can always talk to me, Cal. No matter how tough the subject is, I'll be here."

"Likewise, Luna."

After a couple of more hours, Cal and I had reached the unexplored area of the map that led to the supposed Zeffo tomb. The area was at the bottom of a long slide of ice. Luckily for us, the sides of the ice were covered by the rocky walls of a mountain.

"Alright, let's go," I said as we jumped and slid down the slide. At the bottom of the side, all you could see was the back of an abandoned star destroyer ship in front of us. It was massive! In front of it was a pool of water with tiny islands of land scattered throughout it. The only way down was to jump in the water.

"Ugh, I would like to keep my hair dry for once, but noooooo~" I whined. Cal laughed beside me and took a step forward.

"Aw, come on! Swimming is good exercise! Right, BD-1?" Cal said to the droid on his shoulder. BD-1 hopped happily on his shoulder, and I didn't have to be a genius to tell he was excited about going for another swim.

"Whatever, let's just do this thing," I said, surrendering to both of them. I went ahead and jumped in first. The water hit me like a heavy wind. It was colder than I expected it was going to be! I came up breathing heavily and noticed that Cal still hadn't jumped in yet. He was crouched down staring at the water. He put his hand in the water, and his lips made a fine line.

"Hmm, it seems kind of cold…"

"Cal, get your ass in here!" I yelled. He grinned jokingly and then jumped in next to me. He came to the surface and took a deep breath.

"Shit, that is cold!

I gave him a look that said I was proud of myself.

"Mhmm!"

"I…guess I deserved that. My instinct says we should go this way," he said as he began swimming towards the star destroyer.

"Your instinct? But we have a map," I said in amusement.

"We don't need a map when you've got me around," he told me with confidence. I had a hard time believing that, knowing him. I did know for certain that wherever he was leading us, it would be an adventure. We swam to the closest part of land and shook the water from our bodies.

"We should've brought towels or something," I complained.

"Agreed," the boy concurred. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black thing flying around, and I narrowed my eyes to see one of those probe droids. It wasn't flying right at us, but it was coming in our general direction.

"I hope that means there aren't more troops ahead," I grumbled as I took out my lightsaber. The droid eventually noticed us and shot a laser bullet at me. I reflected it back effortlessly, and the probe droid fell to the ground.

"Nice, Luna," said Cal.

"Thanks! Shall we keep going?"

He nodded, and we walked into the man-made tunnel under the star killer ship. There were a couple more probe droids, but we took them out easily. At the end of the tunnel, Cal saw a stack of clone trooper helmets and held his hand out. He must have sensed a force echo in the helmets. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, and then opened them up again.

"What did you feel?" I asked in curiosity.

"Years ago, the village made this little monument for the fallen clone soldiers during the war. But now, it seems a little out of place."

"Especially since the troopers forced the village to relocate per the Empire," I added in disgust.

"Right," Cal finished sadly. He looked past the clone war monument and saw a giant zipline that led into an imperial base. Of course there was a base all the way down here. Geez, how much money does the Empire have to have all these bases lying around.

"A zipline. Are you still okay with holding on to me and BD-1?" Cal asked with a growing smile. I smiled back and nodded.

"Yes, I trust both of you. Just don't let me fall," I said. BD-1 attached himself to the zipline and Cal grabbed a hold of the droid's legs.

"I would never let that happen, believe me," Cal told me as I wrapped my arms around his waist. I latched my fingers around the straps in his clothing, and he wrapped one of his arms around my abdomen. His grip was strong and comforting. I laid my head on his shoulder, and we jumped off the edge of the platform to ride the zipline to the other side. We found our footing at the end of the zipline, and Cal let go of me once he knew we were safe. A part of me wanted him to keep his arm around me. I was never going to tell him something silly like that, though.

"There's an elevator up ahead," he told me, walking towards the lift.

"R-Right," I stuttered, following behind him. We walked into the elevator and stepped on the middle switch so that it could lower us down even further. Cal frowned next to me and huffed in frustration. I looked at him worryingly and asked him what was wrong.

"Sorry, it's just I'm getting a bad feeling all of a sudden. I feel like we're getting closer to where we need to be, but I'm not sure we want to know what's at our destination."

"Like someone from the Empire is waiting for us?"

"I'm not sure. I hope not…"

The elevator lowered for a few more seconds before making a definite stop. The doors opened, and we saw what looked like a construction site. There were Imperial characteristics, but a lot of it was a multitude of ziplines that went both up and down. The Empire probably hasn't had the chance to build any bridges between the gaps where each zipline was. BD-1's antennas went up in interest, and he let out a couple of automated sounds.

"Yep, more ziplines for you to slide across," Cal chuckled. He then glanced at me and rubbed the back of his head.

"...and I guess that means we'll have to hang on to each other more, huh?"

I think he thought I would be nervous or awkward about it, but I was actually feeling a bit flirty at the moment. I brushed my hand through my hair and smiled.

"I'm not complaining," I said smoothly as I walked to the first zipline. I looked back at him, and the look on his face was hilarious. His green eyes were as wide as can be.

"O-Oh…Okay, cool!" he replied, trying to play it like he wasn't totally flustered for a solid three seconds there. He walked up next to me and held his arm out. I let out one more laugh before enclosing my arms around his torso. He did the same with his free arm, and we slid to the other side. I usually hate heights, but I don't have that fear with Cal holding onto me. Never have I met anyone that was able to take away so many fears of mine. I really like that about him.

"Damn it, another one of those security droids. The troopers don't help either," he whispered to me. He was right. A security droid was walking around while a few storm troopers were working on mining something from the underground walls.

"You're the only one who's technically had to fight one of those things. How do you recommend dealing with it so we don't get beat up?" I asked. Cal's eyes averted to the troopers and pointed at them.

"I think we should take out the troopers first so we can focus all our attention on the security droid after. Be careful when fighting it because it hits hard. It usually goes for the face as well," he said in annoyance. I shivered at the memory of having to see Cal's face with all those bruises again.

"Okay, I'll be cautious and roll away from him if I think he's getting too close. And we'll have each other's backs this time instead of being separated," I told him in encouragement. He grinned at me and nodded.

"Yeah, with the both of us, it shouldn't be too bad. If that droid punches you in the face, I may or may not slash at it until there's nothing left."

"The same goes for me. You'll see a side of me that you've never seen before!" I told him.

"Wow, I think I might want to see that though," he joked. I gave him the lightest of playful pushes and ignited my lightsaber.

"Trust me, you don't. Now, let's go take these guys out."

He ignited his lightsaber too as a way of agreeing with me, and we ambushed the group of Imperial soldiers. There were only about four stormtroopers, so they weren't hard to take out. I took out one by stabbing him in the middle of his chest and then another by slashing across his back. Cal, on the other hand, straight up decapitated the other stormtroopers.

"Didn't mean to do that, but that works too!" he said. BD-1 beeped, and Cal rolled his eyes at him. I think he mocked him, but I'm not exactly sure. As for the security droid, it didn't even notice we were there until all of the stormtroopers were dead.

"So much for security," I said. It tilted its head at me and began speaking in that creepy voice.

"JEDI SPOTTED. YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE IN THIS VICINITY. PREPARE FOR CAPITAL PUNISHMENT."

The voice made me cringe, and I gripped my lightsaber a bit more. The droid stomped towards Cal first, and he jumped out of the way. The droid was faster than I expected. That, or its tall stature was too intimidating for its own good. Cal got a few good hits in and blocked a couple of punches from the droid. I attacked it a few times and then dashed backwards when it turned to me. I misjudged how close I was to the droid, and it effortlessly grabbed me by the throat, raising me off the ground. I gasped and tried to loosen its grip, but it was too strong.

"Luna!" Cal yelled. He swung his right arm hard, creating a giant gash in the droid's back.

"ERROR. SYSTEM SHUTTING DOWN."

The droid dropped me before it could do anything, and I managed to land on my feet. I was a bit wobbly from being choked, and Cal helped keep me steady. The droid finally fell to the floor, motionless and unattentive. Cal held my arms as I rubbed my throat.

"You okay!?" he asked me. I looked at him and nodded with a grimace on my face.

"Yeah, my throat still hurts though. You weren't kidding about those things!" I exclaimed. I glanced back at the dead droid and saw the gash Cal had made on its back. "...Thanks for backing me up. That swing you did was awesome!" I praised with excitement.

"Thanks," he said proudly, "anything for you, Luna."

I smiled and took my hand off my throat. The pain was going away, so I don't think he was able to hurt me too badly.

"You're the best, Cal, truly. I think I'm good now. My throat's starting to not hurt anymore."

"I'm glad. You ready to keep going?" he asked. I nodded and looked around. There wasn't anything special in the room except for a unique-looking mechanical desk. We walked over to the desk and examined the items that sat on it. A couple of the items were blasters, but there was also something that caught Cal's eye.

"Whoa."

He picked up what looked like a tiny accelerator. It wasn't any bigger than my fist. Cal was engrossed by the thing.

"What is it?" I asked him in interest. His eyes lit up, and he handed it to me. I stared at it while he talked.

"I'm pretty sure it's an attachment that droids use to travel across rails or tracks."

"Like what BD has for the ziplines?"

BD-1 perked up at the sound of his name.

"Pretty much. The only difference is that this can accelerate BD-1 faster across the ziplines, meaning that we could probably travel across the ones that go up now," he explained. Ah, I see. For the downward ziplines, BD-1 was just using gravity as a way to travel across. With this device, we can get a much-needed boost to travel up.

"Neat! I was wondering why you were interested in that thing," I laughed. He shrugged his shoulders and chuckled.

"What can I say? I'm a nerd when it comes to this stuff. Alright, BD, let's get this on you."

BD-1 hopped off of Cal's shoulder and onto the table. Cal dug into his bag for his tools before attaching it to the little droid. A little tweaking here and there, and BD-1 had a new tool to use! He was so happy that he twirled around on the desk until he got dizzy. Can droids even get dizzy? Oh well, it doesn't matter. Cal and I watched him with amusement before telling him to calm down.

"Okay, BD-1, you don't want to make yourself nauseous, right?"

"Beep boop beep," he replied.

"That's what I thought," Cal said, picking him up and putting him back on his shoulder. I petted the top of BD-1's head and looked at the path ahead on our little holographic map. It just so happened that we did have to go up a zipline to move on. Sometimes I think our luck is too good. At the same time, our luck is complete shit occasionally…

"Let's test it out!" Cal said to me and BD-1. We jogged to the upward zipline and assumed the normal position. I held onto Cal a little more this time. There was a chance the accelerator wouldn't work or malfunction. And if we fall, well, at least I'll be hugging somebody…Hopefully, that doesn't happen.

"Okay, here goes!"

BD-1 clicked on his new attachment, and we zipped upward across the zipline like there was no tomorrow. I was surprised by the sudden jump, and Cal had to tighten his hold around my waist. We made it to the other side, and I let out a deep breath.

"You okay?" he laughed. I fixed my hair and gave him a thumbs up.

"Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to shoot us up that fast!"

"I may or may not have given it too much of a boost, but now we know!"

"Mhmm," I hummed at him with a teasing look. He looked at BD-1 and then back at me. At this point, they don't even have to say anything to know what each other's thinking. I ignored them and took in my surroundings. We had been traveling for a few hours now. It took a while to go through the parts of Zeffo that we had already explored, and now we were in some Imperial cave system. I wonder what Cere and Greez are doing right now. They've got to be bored out of their minds by now.

"Do you think we should update Cere on where we are? She might get worried if we don't," I suggested.

"Good idea," Cal replied, turning on his comm link. He connected to Cere and updated her on everything that we had done so far.

"I'm not surprised it's taking you so long to travel through the cave system. According to Master Cordova's reports, those tunnels go on for miles. Thank you for updating me, you two. Let me know if you need anything, and I'll do my best to help out. May the force be with you," she said before the comm cut off. Cal thought for a minute and sighed.

"We might have to find somewhere safe to rest for the night if we don't reach the tomb soon. I'm kind of getting hungry and tired."

"I was thinking the same thing. I brought us a blanket and some food in case we did have to do that," I said, nodding at my bag. Cal's eyes widened, and he stepped closer to me.

"R-Really? You did?" he questioned me with hope in his voice. I giggled and nodded.

"Of course! I always try to think ahead so we won't be so miserable."

The happiness that appeared on his face was so satisfying to see. He didn't know what to do with himself.

"You have permission to give me a hug," I told him. He grinned and gave me the biggest hug ever. It was a pretty good one. You know, Cal and I need to hug more often because the overwhelming happiness I feel from them is amazing.

"You're a good hugger, Cal!" I said with a blush across my cheeks.

"You are too, Luna," he said back, "I'm just grateful to have you here with me is all. You're always so thoughtful when it comes to me and BD. What did you end up bringing food-wise?"

"Just a simple PB&J and some chips. Nothing special."

"Just the fact that you brought it makes you the best person ever," he praised me with the kindest of smiles. He was going to make me swoon if he kept this up. I decided to give him another hug, and he chuckled when I separated from him again.

"What was that one for?"

"For being so sweet, as usual," I told him. I patted my bag and began walking towards the path again. "...Just say the word, and I'll set everything up for us, okay?"

"Heh, okay, I will!" he said as he caught up to me. We traveled across a few more imperial lab rooms before reaching more ziplines. There was nothing of interest in the labs, so we didn't waste any time going through them. Around the ziplines were cave walls that we could probably run on. It was tricky, but we managed to get to the other side. There weren't a lot of stormtroopers around, but any that were were quickly taken out by us. Another hour went by, and I was beginning to feel exhausted. Cal and I agreed to another 30 minutes before stopping for the day. We finally ended up reaching a large imperial bridge with an elevator at the end of it.

"You would think there would be more security here. I'm getting that bad feeling again," Cal muttered.

"Me too…" I said as we walked across the bridge. We stepped on the elevator, and it dropped us down even lower. As each second went by, I began to feel more and more uncomfortable. I felt an unsettling tingle shoot across my body like a lightning bolt. It was the complete opposite of the feeling I had felt when I first met Cal. I looked at him, and he was already looking at me.

"Do you feel that?" I asked nervously.

"Y-Yeah, I do…" he said as the elevator reached the bottom. The elevator opened, and a woman in an Imperial outfit stood there waiting for us. Judging by her look, she was probably an inquisitor. Inquisitors are essentially Jedi hunters. I've never had to deal with one before…

"Cal Kestis and Luna Valerian. How nice of you to join me. Yes, I know your names. I know your pasts too."

Cal slowly lifted up his lightsaber and glanced at me to do the same. I assumed a defensive position and ignited it cautiously.

"Most importantly, I know about Cordova."

"Cal, who is this woman?" I asked him quietly. He gritted his teeth and swore under his breath.

"The Second Sister. Remember when I told you I had to fight her before I escaped Bracca? This is the same person that almost killed me that day. The same person that killed my friend, Prauf, too."

After hearing that, I couldn't help but glare at the woman. She's caused so much pain for Cal. Everything he's told me about that day is heartbreaking. He even saved me from having to go through the same thing…

"I have not forgotten our last battle, Kestis. I look forward to fighting you and Valerian today," the Second Sister said as she turned on her lightsaber. The saber flashed a bright and menacing red, a signature style of the Dark Side. I could already tell that she was strong. Stronger than both of us combined. That didn't mean we were going to lose, however.

"Stay sharp, Luna," Cal said before running at the Second Sister and attacking her. The two lightsabers clashed together, creating a flurry of sparks. I ran to the other side of her and swung my saber as hard as I could.

"A challenge!" she yelled with excitement. She force pushed Cal back and then blocked my attack. Cal wasn't down for long. He got back up and attacked her again. I figured if we both attacked her at the same time as fast as we could, she wouldn't be able to block every hit. The next couple of minutes was a tedious mixture of trying to hit her as many times as we could and blocking any counterattacks she gave us.

"This is nothing! Your deaths are near!" she yelled as she pushed Cal to the other side of the room and focused on me. I adopted a defensive position and took a step back.

"I haven't had the chance to formally meet you yet, Valerian. I wonder if you have the same amount of fortitude as your partner."

She jumped up and slammed her saber to the ground. I dived out of the way and panted as she walked toward me. It felt like she was faster than a bullet. I was trained to fight the Sith during the Clone Wars, but that was five years ago. I've never had to fight an actual force-wielder before, and it showed. She obviously had the upper hand.

"I wonder if you bleed the same too."

"Stop!" Cal screamed. He tried rushing her again, but she stopped him before he could do anything. Using the force, she gripped his neck and slung him into the wall. He cried out in pain and fell to the ground. He wasn't down for the count, but he was stunned for the moment.

"Get away from him!" I yelled at her as I performed another swing of my lightsaber. She turned to me just in time and caught my hand before the lightsaber could make contact with her black armor. I grunted from her death-like grip and attempted to punch her with my other hand. She caught that hand too and chuckled to herself.

"Adorable~" she teased. I opened my mouth to scream at her but something peculiar stopped me from doing so. Everything in front of me went dark, and I was suddenly in a place I didn't know. The only thing in the room was a large chair with a light over it. I didn't dare go near it. I didn't even know what was going on. I searched for an exit and couldn't find anywhere to leave the room. That is, until a part of the wall opened, letting in some much needed light.

"Stop struggling and accept your fate!" I heard a stormtrooper say. There were four of them pushing two women inside the room. It didn't seem like they could see me because they walked right past me.

"Just let her go! I'm the one you should punish, not her!" one of the women said. I gasped at the familiar voice. It was Cere's. I focused my gaze on her face, and sure enough it was her. The only difference was that she appeared younger, and she had much longer hair.

"Cere!?" I asked out in confusion, but she couldn't hear me. If that was Cere, who was the other girl? She looked like she was around the same age as me, maybe a little older. She was pretty with an athletic build and straight dark hair that ran down to her collarbone.

"It'll be okay, Trilla! I won't let them hurt you!" Cere yelled hysterically. My eyes widened in recognition. I remembered back to the conversation I had with Cal. He told me that Cere had told him about losing her padawan, Trilla. Was that who this was? If so, why was I seeing her now? I watched as the stormtroopers punched Cere in the face and shoved the girl in the chair.

"Master! Help me! Please!" she screamed in panic. Two troopers strapped her into the chair while the others continued to beat Cere into submission. I felt myself tear up at the scene. This was horrible…

"Trilla! Stay strong!" Cere yelled out one last time before being knocked out by one of the stormtroopers. The men that had strapped Trilla in the chair took out a remote and pressed some buttons on it, laughing while doing so. I put my hand over my mouth in horror as various vibrating needles shot out of the sides of the chair and stabbed Trilla in the chest.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!"

Trilla screamed and squirmed, but it was no use. She was stuck, trapped in an eternity of torture. One of the troopers snorted and crossed his arms over his chest.

"They're not so pure once they're in the chair. She'll be an inquisitor in no time!"

Wait…Am I seeing this because…? My vision blacked out again, and I was back to where I was before. The Second Sister still had a hold on both of my hands in a semi-wrestling match of strength. I could be wrong, but I had to know now.

"T-Trilla?" I asked her. My voice came out quiet, but it was loud enough for her to hear. Her grip loosened for just a second, giving me the chance to escape her. I dashed backwards and ran to Cal on the other side of the room. The Second Sister just stood there staring at the ground. It's like I casted a spell on her or something.

"Cal, are you okay!?" I asked as soon as I reached him. He shook his head and nodded.

"I'll be alright. Are you okay? Did she hurt you?" he asked, bringing his hands to my arms.

"No, I'm fine. Cal, I…I think she might be-"

"Enough," the Second Sister said in a low voice. She turned around in our direction and raised her fists. Both Cal and I were suddenly lifted up and thrown into the barricade of another room. I hadn't even noticed this was here until I hit the ground and blew the barricade into pieces.. Cal and I tried to regain our senses, but the Second Sister was already making her way over to us. She jumped up in another attack, and I lifted my arm up to block it. However, when the Second Sister brought down her lightsaber upon us, it was stopped by a red forcefield that extended to both sides of the room. We all looked to the side, and BD-1 had turned on the forcefield using the room's console control.

"Good job, BD-1!" I said to him with relief. Looking back at the Second Sister, she turned off her lightsaber and put it on her belt.

"Hmm, not as good as Cere's last apprentice but not bad. You both just need some time to hone your skills. I doubt she's been teaching you anything."

"Like you know her," Cal growled back to her.

"I've known her for a long time, actually. She is weak. When the Empire captured her, she cracked on the torture chair and revealed where her padawan was," she said to us. She went silent for a moment, and I spoke up.

"You're Trilla, aren't you?" I asked.

"You're quite perceptive. Though, I'm not sure how you knew my name during our fight," she said as she took off her helmet. Sure enough, it was the same girl I saw in the vision that appeared to me. She looked mostly the same, but her features looked considerably more exhausted than what I remember. Her most distinguishable feature was the large dark circles around her eyes.

"She gave away my location and betrayed me."

Cal looked at me with large eyes and then back at her.

"You're Trilla?"

"In the flesh. She didn't tell you I was alive?"

"It doesn't matter. We're not gonna let you manipulate us," Cal told her. He motioned for us to leave, and we began walking away from her. Trilla stepped closer to the force field and stopped us from going any further.

"She's going to betray you too. It's only a matter of time. I thought she would protect me but when given the choice between herself and me, she chose herself."

I sighed in response.

"Even if that's true, Cal and I still have each other."

"Are you willing to take that risk? Just the two of you against the Empire?"

"If that's what it takes," Cal told her. He was beginning to get annoyed by her constant questioning.

"Your master is corrupt. Tainted. When she saw me as I am now, she used the dark side. All that talk about following the Jedi way disappeared when it mattered the most. She harbors a power neither of you are ready for. Who knows what she'll do once you find the holocron. What would Jaro Tapal and Aayla Secura say?"

Cal lost his temper at this point and stepped up to the force field.

"Don't say his name!"

I could sense Trilla was doing her best to get to us. I walked up to Cal and rested my hand on his back. He looked at me for a moment, and the angry expression on his face softened.

"I wonder what they would do if they saw you now. Teaming up with a betrayer and granting her access to a sea of vulnerable force-sensitive children."

"We won't let anyone hurt them," I told her sternly. She looked at me and something in her gaze shined for a split second.

"Hopeful…I used to be the same way…" she said before turning and walking away. We watched as she entered the elevator and rose up out of our view.

"So, that was her…" I mumbled. I looked at Cal, and he let out a deep sigh.

"Yeah…I'm sorry I lost my cool for a second there. I knew she was trying to get in our heads, and I let her…" he apologized. I shook my head at him.

"You don't have to be sorry, Cal. I was starting to get irritated too. I didn't want you to get too heated is all. What she said about Cere…Do you think that's true?"

"I don't know for sure. What I do know is that she lied to me. She said her apprentice died when the Empire captured them. According to Trilla, she even knew who the Second Sister was and still didn't tell us. That pisses me off if true," he said in a low voice. "...And…how did you know she was Trilla?" he asked.

I looked down at the ground and huffed.

"I got another vision when we were fighting her. When she grabbed my hands, everything blacked out, and I saw her and Cere being tortured. It was the same as when I saw the vision of my master training me. I only saw it when I touched your arm that time. I thought my visions were just similar experiences I've had with other people like you. But now, I think it might be something more…I don't know, we'll have to talk about it another time. Cere definitely has some explaining to do when we get back. But for now, we have to focus on getting to the Zeffo tomb."

"We can try experimenting with your visions once we get back as well. And you're right, Luna. We should be close by now. Did you want to rest for the day and then continue in the morning?" he asked. I hummed in thought and walked through the path we were on now. I wanted to see what was ahead before deciding whether we should rest or not. Ahead was a series of walls over a large, dark abyss. In other words, there was no way an enemy could get to us from this side.

"Yeah, we should take a rest here. We're protected from this side because there's an abyss, and then we have the force field on this side," I said, pointing at the red barrier that BD-1 had created. "...Speaking of the force field, you did so good, BD!" I said to the droid loudly. The little guy ran and jumped in my arms as I gave him maximum affection.

"Yeah, thanks for the protection, little buddy," Cal said with a grin. He patted the top of BD-1's head, and I set him down on the ground.

"We probably wouldn't be here without you."

BD beeped a "you're welcome" and then ran off to the side to scan some plant that had caught his eye…or lens I guess you would say. I smiled and peered down at my bag. It was time to eat something. I crouched down and took out the sandwiches and chips I had made for Cal and I. Cal's face lit up as he sat next to me.

"Again, you're the best," he said gratefully. I giggled and handed him his food. It was just a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but it was perfect. Food tends to be better when you're starving.

"This is so good, thank you," Cal told me, finishing his sandwich and chips.

"No problem," I replied, digging in my bag and handing him a water bottle. Yes, I thought of everything. Once we were done eating, my body began to completely shut down. I was so tired after all that walking, not to mention the fight we just endured with Trilla. I looked at Cal, and he didn't look much better.

"You tired?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm worn out."

"Me too. I brought a big blanket, but we'll probably have to sleep next to each other if that's okay."

He smiled and lifted his shoulders up and down.

"I don't mind if you don't."

"Okay, good," I laughed. Cal and I have slept in the same bed a couple times before, so neither of us feel awkward about sharing a blanket. I just wanted to make sure he was cool with it before assuming. I crawled back to the wall and then rolled out the blanket. Cal followed my example and got up against the wall next to me. I extended the blanket over the both of us and sighed. The warmness of the blanket was so inviting. Cal's arm was rubbing up against mine, and I had the strong urge to cuddle with it like a stuffed animal. My eyes widened at myself, and I sunk deeper into the blanket.

"You alright?"

I looked up at Cal, and he was giving me a concerned look. My face became red, and I laughed nervously.

"I just had the urge to cuddle with your arm," I laughed with embarrassment. Cal laughed back, but not in a mocking way.

"You can if you want. Again, I don't mind at all," he said sweetly.

"O-Okay."

I wrapped my hand around his arm and rested my head on his shoulder. His body was firm, yet comforting at the same time. I felt him lean his head towards me, and we settled down to the floor. I was going to tell him "goodnight," but when I looked at him, he had already fallen asleep.

"Goodnight, Cal," I whispered anyway before falling asleep myself. A lot happened today, but I needed to get my mind away from all that. As soon as we get back to the ship, Cere needs to tell us exactly what happened. Until then, it's the new Zeffo tomb tomorrow.
