In this AU Delilah was never murdered. Chloe and Lucifer first met at the Gillian Taylor case (2x01) Lucifer helps Chloe solve the case and she and Ella notice some strange powers Lucifer has. But he has to be a magician, doing tricks. He is far to nice to be the devil.

When a criminal tried to kill Chloe (chapter 5), Lucifer protected her with his wings: so Chloe, Ella and Trixie found out Lucifer really is the devil. All three ladies took that reveal well, while Lucifer made them breakfast. Dan found out in chapter nine.

Chloe asked Lucifer how he could ignore his dad's orders if he didn't have free will. They are dating, first date was a visit toNorway to see the northern lights. They do sleep together.

God listened to prayers of Chloe, Lucifer wanted to know why. God showed up to explain. During the Big Bang he gave the cosmological constant a wrong value, he in the presnt needs help to warn himself in the past and change that value. He tells Chloe and Lucifer together will give that help without realizing.

Raziel, and some more angels came to Earth, to help with a case and to see Chloe. During the case they metAdrianna Nassar, who learned Lucifer is the devil.

They noticed that Chloe doesn't get drunk and gets healed as if an angel with red wings touched her. They find out Chloe is expecting and the angel touching her, is the baby she is carrying. Thy tell Trixie and Penelope. Telling Penelope includes telling her Lucifer is truly the devil.

Ella organizes a baby shower for Chloe and her not-yet-born daughter. A few of Lucifer's sisters and two sisters of Maze join the party, a party that a few continued in the Lux and there Julia (Trixie's sitter) and Na'amah spent a night together.

Julia and Na'amah go on a few more dates, although Na'amah doesn't understand how she – a demon – can be in love. Na'amah's nose helps Chloe to find the murder weapon in a case by smelling where a knife with blood is thrown away.

Na'amah is concerned what would happen if she is sent back to hell, either by Lucifer or by his dad. She discusses this with Chloe and Lucifer. God informs them if Lucifer allows her to stay, someone will call. Then Chloe is called by Julia.

Chapter nineteen: Why us

"Hi, mrs Decker. I'm not disturbing you by calling?"

"No, Julia," Chloe answered. "Not at all. And please say Chloe."

"Yes, mrs Decker. You know I work in a coffee bar in the morning. I had a customer, just ten minutes ago. He said Hi, Julia to me."

"You knew him?"

"No. No. Well I have a name tag, so more often people say my name. Then he said I saw you and Na'amah on the beach yesterday. The two of you are such a lovely couple."

"He said Na'amah?" Chloe asked. "He knew her name without you telling him?"

"He did, mrs Decker."

Chloe looked around and saw wondering looks from all.

"I asked how he knew us," Julia continued trough the phone. "He said I'm Lucifer's father. I know both you and Na'amah. And I foresee the two of you will be a happy couple for many, many years to come."

Chloe noticed Na'amah turning pale and grabbing Maze' arm at her left and Lucifer's at her right. "That is what he literally said?" Chloe asked in the phone.

"It was, mrs Decker. But do you know mr Morningstar's dad?"

"Uh. Well. Yes, I met him once."

"Was it really mr Morningstar's dad. He didn't look like mr Morningstar at all. He…"

"He is Afro-American," Chloe said.

"Yes."

"Maybe socks in sandals?"

"Uh, yes. Is mr Morningstar adopted?" Julia asked.

"No," Chloe said. "He is not. It's an odd family, don't try to understand them. But it was really mr Morningstar's father."

"But how could he know me yesterday already?" Julia asked. "I mean, no name tag on the beach."

"Well, he saw you together with Na'amah and he knows Na'amah."

"O, yeah. Yes, of course."

"Although Na'amah hardly knows him. As far as I know, she never spoke to him."

"God sees me and Julia as a lovely couple," Na'amah said eyes wide open when Chloe had ended the call. "He said we will be happy together for years."

"So Father will not send you back to hell," Raziel said.

Na'amah took a deep breath and tried to smile. "But why did he bring us together? Why us?"

Both Lucifer and Raziel shook their head. Chloe frowned and thought back at a comment she once made to Lucifer.

When Chloe and Lucifer came home that evening, they found Trixie on the floor with Julia and Na'amah just finishing a game of Catan.

"How was the house, mommy?" Trix asked after all hugs and kisses.

Chloe looked at Lucifer who nodded. "We think it's perfect. Adriana found exactly what we need. We will take one more look in two days with you and nana to hear you're opinion."

"You are not…" Julia started. Then she hesitated before saying. "Sorry, mrs Decker."

"What, Julia? You may ask anything," Chloe said.

"I wanted to say: you are not going to ask mr Morningstar?"

"Lucifer? Of course."

"No. I mean his father. Well, it is not my business," Julia said. "Sorry, mrs Decker."

"Don't say sorry. Lucifer's father…" Chloe turned to Lucifer.

He shook his head. "Why would dad be interested. And anyway, he knows the house."

"You're father knows the house?" Julia asked with wonder.

"Of course," Trixie interrupted. "Lucifer is the devil, so his daddy is God and God knows everything."

Julia smiled. "You have to much imagination, little girl. But now your mommy is home, Na'amah and I can go."

"The two of you don't stay for diner?" Chloe asked.

"Well…" Julia looked at Na'amah. Na'amah looked at Lucifer – her king, Chloe realized – and when Lucifer nodded, Na'amah did too.

"Good. We will order Mexican." Chloe looked around. "Where is your school bag, monkey?"

"Oh?" Trixie also looked around.

"I think we left it in the car," Na'amah mused.

"I'll get it," Julia said to Trixie.

"No, I will get it," Na'amah said. Both women turned to the door and grinned, trying to hold the other back.

"No kissing while you get my bag," Trixie warned.

Chloe and Trixie strolled two steps behind Julia and Na'amah to the door and watch the two walking to Julia's car that was parked on the opposite side of the street. Halfway crossing the street the two women kissed. Trixie shouted: "No." The two turned back and waived. Then it happened.

It all went quick, almost too quick to see. A car came around the corner, driving too fast. It was heading to Julia and Na'amah and the driver didn't attempt to slow down, he didn't attempt to avoid the two women. Chloe was only starting to scream when Na'amah acted. The demon woman picked up Julia in her arms that fast that a human could hardly see it. She turned towards the car and jumped, landing with one foot on the engine cover. Before Chloe could even blink her eyes, Na'amah other foot was on the roof of the car and her next step was a jump down on the street behind the still speeding car. Both Chloe and Trixie let out a scream while Na'amah with Julia still in her arms came to them.

The demon put Julia on her feet. Julia embraced her. "You saved me," she whispered. "That car… you were so fast. How could you…"

"Because she is a demon," Trixie said. "And she loves you."

Chloe could see Julia tremble in Na'amah's arms. "You saved me," Julia repeated. "You just… walked over that car with me. How is that possible?"

"I couldn't loose you," Na'amah whispered. "If you die I will never see you again. I can't loose you."

"You could smell that blood on the beach," Julia said. Her eyes wide open, her face pale, but she was still holding Na'amah. "What are… No, I don't believe... Are you…"

"I am a demon. I always told you."

"And you love me?"

"I told Linda what I feel when I see you and she says it's love."

Julia turned her eyes to Chloe, still embracing Na'amah.

"Remember what Lucifer's father said to you," Chloe said. "The two of you will be happy for many years."

Julia stared at her.

"Na'amah is a demon. Lucifer is the devil. His dad is God," Chloe continued. "God said you are a lovely couple."

No one spoke while Julia thought that over. After minutes the girl pulled back a bit from Na'amah and looked her in the eyes. "Why us?"

"Why us?" Na'amah shook her head. "I don't know. I shouldn't have feelings. Demons don't have feelings, but the moment I saw you, something changed."

"We don't know, Julia," Lucifer said. "Me, the detective and Na'amah have been discussing it and we simply don't know."

"Maybe," Chloe said. "I have a suspicion. You're Trixie's sitter. It would be normal if I ask you to be our second child's sitter also."

"Yes?" Julia said.

"A baby that might spread her wings, red wings. How would you have reacted if you hadn't known all this?"

"She will have…" Julia mumbled, swallowed and shook her head.

"I think my daughter's grandfather arranged two sitters for his granddaughter. The two of you."

Before anyone could react the front door opened and Ella came in. She looked for a second at the scene, their faces and positions and asked: "Did Julia find out?"

"She did, miss Lopez," Lucifer answered.

"Oh, sweeties." Ella came forward and hugged both Julia and Na'amah.

"You also know?" Julia asked.

"Yes, girl. And I'm glad you now also know. Now you can talk without thinking it's all metaphors."

Julia frowned and then slowly nodded. "Who else do know? The women at the baby shower… Maze?" Julia suddenly looked at Na'amah. "She is your sister. Then she also must be a demon? And your other sister Rymane?"

"My sisters are demons too, both."

"Does Raziel kno… Is she really an angel?"

"Yes," Ella said. "And so is Azrael and so are the other four sisters of Lucifer you saw at the baby shower."

"And Linda? And Adriana?"

Julia and Na'amah went again to pick up Trixie's bag, a bit more careful this time. Chloe ordered Mexican; for eight since Lucifer had texted Maze and Raziel about Julia finding out and the two came over to answer any question from her or Na'amah.

"… and Julia said Lucifer's dad should also come to see the new house," Trixie said.

"That would be normal," Ella said and took a deep breath. Eyes wide open she added: "If Chloe's mom goes with you, Lucifer's dad should also be invited."

"But he knows the house. He knows everything," Lucifer objected.

"Did you ask father?" Raziel asked.

"Of course not. I would…" Lucifer reacted. Whatever he would, he stopped saying it and looked at the attendees. Chloe did the same and saw all looking at Lucifer.

"Bloody hell. The whole idea is ridiculous," Lucifer mumbled. He shook his head, but folded his hands. A second later his eyes went wide open. "Dad will come. To see the house and to say hello to Penelope."

Chloe had warned her mother and Adriana that God would come. It clearly made both women nervous. "How? When?" Penelope had asked a dozen times during the car ride.

"We don't know," Chloe answered and a few times Lucifer added: "He can appear where and when he wants."

With Penelope and Trixie with them they arrived at the house where Adriana was waiting for them. The woman glanced in the car and said: "Did your father…"

Before Chloe or Lucifer could answer a light appeared just as the previous time Lucifer's dad came. It took his shape again. He showed the same friendly smile, had the same short trimmed hair and beard. Still socks in sandals and a woolen cardigan. Penelope and Adriana froze, Chloe glanced at Lucifer to see whether he was ok. Lucifer pursed his lips. His dad only gave him a short smile, before he first stepped to a trembling Penelope. He gave a her a quick hug.

"You.. you are…"

"I'm Lucifer's dad. You are Chloe's mother and together we will see whether our children are going to spend their money wisely. Each of us just being a parent."

"Just as their parent," Penelope whispered.

"Exact. Nothing more."

When Penelope finally smiled, he turned to Adriana to also give her a hug. "Come, girl. You're going to show us the house and we're looking forward to that.

Arm in arm with Penelope Lucifer's dad followed Adriana into the house. "The hall," Adriana said, her voice still trembling.

"With an elevator?" Penelope asked. "How many floors does this house has?"

"Two," Trixie said.

"And a parking garage below the house," Adriana added.

"Even with a parking garage. Stairs are not good enough?" Penelope shook her head. "My John always sai…" She stopped and looked aside.

God winked at her. "Just tell them. I did what John always said."

Penelope smiled. "John always said the good Lord gave us legs to use them."

"I will use them to walk into the elevator," Lucifer said. "Let's go to the living room, Adriana."

"This would be a marvelous spot for my grand piano," Lucifer said. He pointed at the huge window. "Look at the view over the ocean and the hills."

"But…" Penelope started, then shrugged.

She was still arm in arm with Lucifer's dad, who nodded and said: "Better tell them."

"What?" Lucifer asked.

"That grand piano would be full in the hot afternoon sunlight. It would warm up and cool down each day. Wouldn't that be bad to keep him tuned?"

"Mm." Lucifer looked at the windows and the sky outside. "Yeah, well…."

"Good thinking," God said.

Chloe looked a bit suspicious at her mother, who normally didn't think of that kind of details.

"Six bedrooms each with it's own bathroom," Adriana said on the second floor. "In here is the master bedroom."

They looked around and found it almost perfect. Adriana guided them to the adjacent room. "Can I have this one?" Trixie asked.

"Why not?" Lucifer said.

"Maybe it's better to take the next one, pumpkin?" Penelope said.

"Why, nana?"

"Give this one to your little sister? She will be a baby and might sometimes cry during the night. If your mother is next door, she can come quick."

Again Chloe was surprised by the thinking ahead of her mother. She gave her a glance. Her mother was still looking at Trixie and didn't notice, but God smiled at Chloe and winked.

"I like the house," Trixie said when they were outside again.

"So do I," Penelope said.

"I wouldn't want to disagree with these lovely ladies," God added.

"So our parents gave their blessing?" Chloe said with emphasis on the last word.

"Well, Penelope and I do. I know John also does, but I doubt my wife will ever do."

"Do you have a wife?" Trixie asked. "Why didn't she come to see?"

"Ah." God took a deep breath and shook his head. "My wife doesn't like humanity,"

"Why not?" Trixie asked.

"Trix," Chloe interrupted. "That is not polite."

"Never mind, Chloe," God said. "It's not a secret. Each of my children knows. Lucifer could tell her." He turned to Trixie. "She would prefer I had never created humanity. She thinks humans are a shame for our creation. I ordered her to permanently stay in her own palace in Silver City and even avoid the souls of the people who are in heaven. It's better that way or else she might again try to destroy humanity."

"Again?" Trixie continued.

"She tried a few times before."

"Does she have superpowers to do so?"

God sighed. "She has powers. Her main power is humans can't refuse her orders. They will do as my wife tells them to do. Even angels have a hard day resisting a direct order my wife gives."

"But she is safely in heaven," Lucifer said. "Far away from all humans. So everyone loves the house? Adriana, when can we sign the papers?"
