Two weeks. It's only been two weeks, but it has been grueling preparation for the UA exams. When Michi came home his father, announcing that he has applied to UA, his father's pride was replaced with determination to prepare his son for the battle ahead of him. For these two weeks, Michi has locked himself in his family's personal gym, instead of his room. Michi was currently dead lifting, his clothes were worn, and tattered, despite him living in his home, he has not left this gym other than the bathroom, food, and water. His tank top is stained with sweat, and his sweat pants, dusty and covered in sweat. Michi took a second before lifting the bar, going a step further and throwing it above his head. He grunted in pain and success as he dropped the weight, smiling, he tried looking at his progress in the mirror. Over the year, his father has forced him to work out with him in the gym at least three times a week, Michi has never taken his physique seriously since the events a year ago, but now, here he was, trying his best to pack on some weight before the UA exams.

"Two more months."

"You're crazy if you think you can keep this up."

Michi turned his head as he saw his father, he smiled slightly as he saw him walking in, wearing a face mask.

"Is it that bad?"

Nemui placed a cup of orange juice, with a plate of eggs. He pulled down the mask as he looked disgusted

"I'm going to have to hire a maid to get this smell out of here. Son, listen, I know you're hyped for UA, but this extreme work outs are going to have the OPPOSITE EFFECT."

Michi went to his regular dumbell, and began to lift as he spoke to his father.

"Well this is what Uncle Itami did for Cousin Senshi isn't it? Their work outs are intense, I remember him telling me that they worked out for three hours every day."

Nemui shook his head

"They are power lifters. That's what their quirks are designed for. Son, the work outs you have done with me have consisted of just cardio, and stamina based training. Your body will crumble if you keep working like this. It's impressive you haven't even stopped to rest a single day."

Michi dropped the weights, his left hand was twitching, still sore from the Razor villain that he was beaten to a pulp by. Since summer has started, Michi has had nothing but extra time on his hand, he turned to his father as he tried to listen, but with a frustrated expression he looked at his father.

"What do you expect me to do then? My quirk isn't like YOURS dad. It's primarily mom's."

Nemui nodded

"Yes, and your mother's quirk was based off of physical strength, but you aren't built like the Itami's to even attempt to work out as intensely as they do. You have a vastily different body type. Even after your growth spurt this past year."

Michi looked down defeated.

"Then what am I supposed to do to prep for the exams?"

Nemui smiled as he walked out of the gym

"Follow me, and grab your breakfast."

Michi grabbed the plate of food as he walked behind his father, as he opened a familiar door.

Four Years ago

Michi walked into the basement of his house, opening a large, metal door with the name insignia'd on the top,

"Nomad!"

Michi smiled as he saw his mother punch a solid metal target, doing a flip mid air, landing two kicks on two aerial targets.

"Moooom! Dad made American style cheese burgers! Come eat! He said we can't until you cooome!"

Naomi let out a slight sigh as she muttered to herself

"And the man still disregards my diet restrictions."

Naomi turned around, wiping her brow with a towel, a smile formed as she saw her son

"I'm coming sweetie! Just a second,"

Michi looked around her Mother's training area with curiosity. For some reason, she needed a room to herself as if to "Prep" for her missions. Michi placed his hand on a busted combat robot as he noticed his mother's foot imprint on its head.

"You know sweetie, soon enough, you'll be able to train in here with me."

Michi looked up with a smile, surprised by this

"Really?! I thought I wasn't allowed to touch anything in here!"

Naomi had a quaint smile as she walked over to Michi

"You're touching something right now."

Michi instinctively moved his hand off of the device. His mother was kind, except when it came to her personal training equipment.

"Sorry mom. I forgot."

Naomi smiled as she walked out of the training area, locking the door as they left, clearly, a lock was added to this door due to the introduction of their child.

"Your quirk is different from your father and mine. but it's.. more similar to mine. So the best way for you to train, and learn to control it, is to train and learn with me. But that's for the future. Let's go eat dinner for now!"

Present

Michi stepped into the large, concrete room, noticing the old robots, still looking worn, but simultaneously pristine.

"Are you sure dad? I mean.. with everything that happened with Kazuki..."

Nemui shook his head, removing the small, but complicated key from his key band, handing it to his son.

"It has everything to do with Kazuki. We can't have a repeat of what happened last time. Anyway, your mother wanted to give you this room. I just... I guess I couldn't handle opening this door again. Because it's like she's really gone, right?"

Michi nodded, noticing the dark, empty room. His heart swelled with excitement, as well as pain.

"So what.. do I do...?"

Nemui grabbed the glass, and the plate from Michi as he walked to the entrance he turned to his son.

"That's for you to figure out! Train for the purpose of YOURSELF! And lock this door! We don't need Eriko walking in here!"

Michi shut the door behind him, as he took in the room, he walked over to a robot, wiping the dust off of the head, he began to shift his hands around the robot as he looked for a switch... Click... The robot began to boot up

"SELECT WORK OUT! WARM UP, INTERMEDIATE, 1 HOUR LONG TRAINING, AND ENDLESS!"

Michi listened to the large robot as he stepped away, scanning the walls, which were full of cracks, and imprints of his mother's battles. A soft smile framed his face as he remembered sneaking in to watch his mom train. brief images and moments returned to him as he explored. Until he approached one wall, with a clear single indent in the wall, his mother's fist. Michi smiled as he activated his quirk, punching the wall, next to his mother's

"Not as deep as yours would, but it works. Thank you mom for-"

"DEFAULT CHOSEN. PREPARE FOR... ENDLESS"

Michi turned around surprised, "ENDLESS?!" before he could react, a punch to the stomach launched him to the other side of the room. Michi vomited out a portion of his breakfast as he heard the robot announce

"ONE HIT SUCESSFUL. SCORE DROPPED -10,000. HIGH SCORE... 10,980,000. TRY AGAIN?"

Michi's face was wide hearing this as he stood up again.

"Yes."

Shizu and Fugu

Shizu was under a running waterfall in the woods, his whole body shivering as he lifted his arm again, trying to create sparks, and flames as he worked at his durability. Fugu let out a sigh as she meditated, with her nose, and eyes plugged

"I can hear your bones chattering, do you really have to "work out" so aggressively in the wild Shizu!?"

Shizu kept a determined look on his face as he began to see a few sparks, which were snuffed out by the running water.

"I-it's b-b-be-est... f-f-f-f-"

Fugu interrupted him

"It's best for developing Hypothermia!"

Shizu slowly walked away from the water fall, stepping onto solid ground, activating his quirk, steam filled the air as he warmed out, letting out a satisfying sigh as he put on his clothes.

"It was nice for mom and dad to rent this resort for the summer. It's the perfect-"

Fugu shushed her brother as she focused.

"I.. I can hear mom and dad talking."

Shizu smiled brightly

"Really?! They're like, a few hundred feet away right now! What are they talking about?!"

Fugu hesitated as she listened..

"Nothing interesting. Just the bills and how nice this place was. "It was so worth it Tsuyoi!" blah blah bleh."

Shizu stood up, he looked around, finding a nice clear patch of land, landing on a rock, he began to practice with his flames, as Fugu continued to work at her senses... After some time, Shizu laid back on the rock, letting out a sigh, and pulling out his phone, he clicked on his texting app.

"BuhHuh?"(Michi)

He clicked on his contact, examining the texts. Since last year, they both have only messaged a couple of times. He let out a slight, defeated sigh. Shizu has tried messaging Michi, and rekindling their friendship, but it has proven difficult since he walked out. He regretfully remembered leaving the Shinomori Residence in such an abrupt and rude way, leaving Michi to think, and fester with his own feelings. Shizu slipped his phone back into his pants, as he stretched, standing back up, with a determined look on his face, he knew it was time to take his training seriously for the approaching exams.

"Alright! It's time to take this seriously!"

Senshi Itami

Senshi tossed the weight away from him, feeling his arms and legs buckling from the weight. He exhaled sharply as he took a deep breath, rejuvenating his muscles and body. A girl with long, red hair, and light brown eyes was working out behind him, her slim fit body was tantalizing. She groaned as she tensed up from Senshi's reckless work out

"Could you not throw the weights around you LUG HEAD?!"

Senshi smiled softly as he looked at his best friend, chuckling softly.

"Haah, sorry about that, Hana. I got a little caught up in my head."

Senshi lifted the bar with ease and placed it back onto the rack. He examined his growth in the mirror, his muscles having doubled in volume over the past year. Although he lacked experience with his quirk, he was well aware that with each exercise, with each rippling muscle, he was one step closer to unlocking his true potential. As he was absorbed in his progress, Hana approached, with a soft voice,

"Was it Shinomori again?"

Senshi walked over to the next weight as he struggled to lift it up, then began to work his muscles with intensity.

"He rarely comes to mind."

Hana leaned against the Pillar sitting in the middle of the gym, her eyes rolling

"He's your cousin, you used to idolize your relationship with him. Calling him your br-"

Senshi placed the weight back onto the rack as he pointed at Hana with a stern, yet calm voice

"Exactly. Used to."

Hana sighed as she saw how closed off Senshi has gotten about this topic.

"I just think you could benefit from talking to him again. You didn't leave on the best of terms..."

Senshi continued to his next station, keeping up with the conversation

"I left on MY terms. He made his choices, so I made my own. End of story."

Hana had a worried look on her face as she spoke more clearly

"And what will you do if he applies to UA, if he gets into the same class as us?"

Senshi paused his exercise.

"He wouldn't."

"Why wouldn't he?!"

Senshi place the weight as he made direct contact with Hana

"Because he, and his family are full of cowards. His mother, a CLEAR example of such."

Hana had a regretful look on her face as she turned to the next station.

"I.. I don't know Shinomori, but.. I don't think he can be as awful as you describe him.. I don't think anyone can be that awful."

Senshi went back to his work out, with each grunt, becoming more intense. In his heart screaming, preparing for this exam.

Two Months Later

Theme: In my Restless Dreams, I see that town... By Jxyytf

The intensity of the bullet train slowly subsided as it passed Osaka. Michi, taking a deep breath, was dressed in his school uniform, his hair tied back as neatly as possible. However, due to its length, there wasn't much he could do to change his appearance and shake off the aura of his "delinquency."

"Next stop, Musutafu! I repeat, Next stop, Musutafu!" Michi clutched his bag, his grip tightening with each screech of the brakes.

"Maybe this was a mistake. Maybe I should just stay on the train... I feel like I'm gonna hurl..."

Suddenly, the train's doors opened, with the train at a complete stop, the bustling crowd of students and business men began pushing everyone out of the train, leaving Michi caught in the sruge.

Michi took a deep breath as he gazed at the city of Musutafu. It had been years since his last visit. Back when he used to come to see his cousin. Not much as changed, surprisingly. Michi began his long walk towards the school, known as UA. The streets were clean, and well taken care of, not a single AD Bot was in the air, bothering people. Most likely because the population was less, persuasive.

Michi looked up at the massive building, that was now the new UA. His eyes widened as he realized that his dream was now a reality. He took a deep breath as he began to walk toward the building. As he did so, left and right, he saw unique people and quirks. A lizard man, a man with diamonds for finger nails, a man with nails for eyes. Michi felt intimidated as he walked forward, until he saw a recognizable face. It was his class' class rep! The same girl that encouraged him to take this leap in the first place.

"Hey! Lady!"

The girl slowly turned around, her face was unfazed as she saw Michi. He rolled her eyes and spoke.

"We've been classmates for four years, and yet you still don't remember my name!?"

Michi caught up to her, as he awkwardly smiled and tried to calm himself

"Ah.. Sorry.. Before, I was kind of bad at... remembering.."

"You didn't try to remember."

"Yeah.. and then I was keeping to myself..."

"You were scared to talk to people."

Michi stood there shocked as this girl was reading him like a book. He wasn't sure what to say to her.

"U-um... W-well I'm Michi Shinomori! It's nice to meet you! and thank you for the advice!"

The girl looked Michi up and down.

"Well... Shinomori, you definitely have tried cleaning up... And you are here."

The girl turned around as she walked towards the first year door, Michi shocked as she kept walking

"A-aren't you going to tell me your name?!"

The girl smirked as she walked into UA

"ummm, how about you earn it. If you and I get in, I'd be more than happy to tell my, possible classmate my name. That is if he remembers it."

Michi looked around in amazement

"Yeah.. I definitely won't... woah..."

After some walking, the two made their way to the exam room. As Michi walked in, he quickly scanned the packing building, looking for his cousin, and his past friends.. For a second he saw no one he recognized. Relieved for a second, before he turned around, seeing Senshi, and Shizu walking into the door behind him. Michi quickly ran to the front of the exam room.

"Hide in plain sight, right?! Right?! That's what I should do right?!"

As Michi sat down, he sat next to a red headed girl. He kept his eyes forward, trying not to show his face to the crowd.

"Hi! I'm Hana, Hana Asami! But my friends just call me Hana!"

Michi turned his head to the red headed girl next to him, her hand was outward for a handshake. With his voice cracking from nervousness he spoke quietly.

"Ah... Sh-sh-shinomori"

Hana smiled brightly as they shook hands.

"Shino!? That's a unique first name! Why is that? Is your quirk related to Bamboo?"

Michi shook his head due to the misinformation.

"No.. no it's my last.."

Suddenly a booming voice was behind Michi, without turning his head, he knew exactly who was behind him. Senshi Itami. Michi's face went pale as he heard him speak.

"Yo. Hana. We're sitting up at the third row, wanna join the rest of our class?"

Hana smiled as she looked at Senshi.

"Naaah! I want to sit in the front to make sure I don't miss anything important. Besides, I already made a new friend!"

Michi froze as she pointed him out, out of all the chances, the girl he talks to is one of Senshi's classmates... Michi didn't turn his head and kept his head from and center as he heard Senshi reply.

"Alright weirdo, enjoy your front seat."

"Thank youuuu Senshi!"

Michi exhaled as he relaxed, hearing Senshi walk away.

"He hasn't spoken much about you."

Michi turned his head in surprise as he heard Hana

"Come again?"

Hana leaned her head against her hand, leaning on the desk.

"I know your last name is Shinomori, I just knew you didn't want to speak to your cousin, so I tried to cover up for you. I hope I didn't put you on the spot."

Michi straightened his posture.

"N-no, thanks for the help. I'm just not ready to really talk to him yet."

Hana laughed as she heard Michi's reply.

"Oh trust me, he's no way near ready to talk to you either."

Michi tensed up as he heard this. "Dammit."

Hana looked at Michi, with a softer tone she spoke trying to be positive.

"Well, if it means anything, you seem nicer than he described you as."

Michi looked at Hana before disarming the conversation.

"Haah, I wouldn't get Timidness confused with niceness if I were you."

"I don't."

Michi turned his head to face Hana again, right as the bell went off, walking towards the podium was Tenya Iida. Ingenium! His commanding voice boomed

"Alright students! Please sit down, and prepare for your examination! This will be a 60 question Multiple choice, 5 paragraph problem, and 15 wellness questionaire to start things off! Suddenly, tablets were lifted from the tables, these tablets showed the whole exam, with each student, had a different reaction. With Michi's being a more, confident, and readied expression!
