Their course was set, and once Chris, Jim, and Chun packed all of their belongings, there was no point in postponing their departure to Hurricane any longer. They had a criminal empire to uproot, and Chris had a family to see. Now that he had abandoned his quest for revenge, he finally felt some relief in his soul. He cannot redeem himself for those murders, but he can focus on a noble cause, on a cause to destroy the evil that brought all of them to this cycle of pain and suffering.

As he got in the car, hiding himself behind the seats, he heard Jim's regretful voice.

"Chris…I know this is not enough to make up but consider this an apology. I will help you reunite with your family…And I will help you destroy Alison once and for all."

"We will do it together."

It was time to go home.

Alison made a grave mistake, and William couldn't help but be delighted at this turn of events, casting a shadow before his own eyes, unable to feel any suspicion. Perhaps he should've known that a paranoid man like Alison would not simply expose himself like that, that he must have known more than he pretended to, and that he was already on their trail. But everyone was prone to mistakes. Perhaps his arrogance and delusions have finally taken hold of him. This was too good of an opportunity to miss.

"We make him pay tonight!"

"We can't just kill him; he's an innocent man in the eyes of the law. We'd be becoming some vigilantes…But we can try and interrogate him to learn where he holds my father and Mike."

"As long as he gets to stare into my eyes and beg for mercy, I'll take it."

This was the agreement William made with Charles. He knew that the young detective was right, even if he himself wanted nothing more than to tear the scumbag apart. He knew too much to simply kill him on the spot. He needed to be brought to justice, deserved to see all his sins unveiled before the public…Yes, that would be a fitting punishment before he gets executed.

Now, all they had to do was to get inside Frankburt's at night and corner Alison. It shouldn't be too hard; from what they knew, he only brought a couple of guards for the maintenance. There was still, of course, the question of the animatronics, but as long as they weren't possessed, they wouldn't stand a chance against Springtrap, even if someone forced them to attack remotely. Charlie had done some scouring of the restaurant before, as it turned out, and gathered some schematics. He knew a shortcut to a switch that could disable electricity in the building. Normally, that place would be locked, but now it would be one of the spots for maintenance, easier to get to. Then, Springtrap will get inside the darkened building and make sure Alison has nowhere to run.

When the night fell, their rash plan was ready for execution. William was watching from the shadows of a nearby alleyway, which provided a view over the passage to the switch. There were a couple of men guarding it, as well as the main entrance to the restaurant. They would have to be dealt with first. Luckily, they had a perfect and simultaneously simple distraction.

"Oi, look!" One of the workers called his friend and pointed to the right, right at a young woman in a Halloween Vanny rabbit suit drawing chaotic and unintelligible graffiti on the restaurant's walls.

"Who the fuck is that?"

"Probably another pink…God, kids those days don't know where to stop. Hey, you!" He shouted, making Elizabeth turn around hastily.

"What? Don't distract an artist, lads!"

"Art? That's vandalism!"

"Just trying to give this shitstain of a restaurant some nice make-over, no one with a taste would object." She shrugged and said playfully.

"You…Step away, now!"

"How about 'fuck you, suckers'?"

"You bitch, get her!"

The two men ran off towards Elizabeth, and she hastily ran and lured them further away from the restaurant. She had a way with people, whether it meant having them trust her or outright despise her. William would never have approved of his daughter behaving in this disgraceful manner in other contexts, but he knew the truth of a necessary evil better than anyone.

When the way was clear, another silhouette emerged. Charlie walked downstairs, disappearing from William's view. His job was to disable electricity and plunge the entire restaurant into darkness. He did his job as spectacularly as Elizabeth, and in a few minutes, the lights went out.

Now, it was Will's part to act. As the main entrance guards shook in horror and grew agitated, Springtrap walked out of the shadows as quickly as possible. This was the only entrance, and they were the only defenses Alison had; after they were dealt with, he would have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Vengeance was within William's reach, years after endless service and torment. Charles and Elizabeth would join him soon after they were ready, and all guards had been lured as far away as possible. All windows were locked, too. Alison couldn't open a single one without making a distinct noise.

"W-what the fuck is that?" One of the guards pointed at the hastily approaching silhouette of the withered bunny animatronic to his peers. They were Alison's servants who carried out his twisted will, but they couldn't have known everything. They could be innocent people, just like William and Gron once were. With the exclusion of Alison himself, Springtrap had more than enough blood on his hands to kill again. Before the guards even got their opportunity to run, Will jumped at them, hitting and choking them just hard enough for them to lose consciousness for a while. They had no way to resist the robot, and it wasn't too hard to knock all of them out.

The prize was his to take.

As William walked inside the halls, he could feel the weight of memory burdening him once again. He had walked into this building many times before, and no matter how much it changed, no matter if it was a panda and koala standing on the stage instead of a bear and a bunny, it was still the same hellish place. The same stage that was once stained with his son's blood, a place where they once celebrated with joy and naivety, believing that there was something happy to look forward to in their lives. Every time he entered, William left with his soul getting more and more scared. Perhaps, this time, he can leave with some sense of victory, a sense of revenge and justice that he deserved.

He walked across the dark halls, wondering where Alison could hide. Perhaps in the toilet or under a table? He was a cowardly man and would gladly take any opportunity to save himself, no matter how undignified and lowly it could be. This was to William's advantage; that meant he would get an ample opportunity to watch that bastard beg.

Finally, he heard some heavy and fearful breathing coming from the guard's office. Of course, it is such a sweet irony that Alison would hide in a place he forced his victims to fend from. Henry, William, and many other night guards, now he would have a taste of it. Springtrap slowly made his way toward the office until he could take a look at the dark room while still hiding behind the nearest wall. He saw a man on the chair with nothing but a small lamp to light the space around him. He had an eyepatch and shivered continuously, occasionally mumbling to himself in a panic. He was as weak and pathetic as before, finally unveiling his true nature. However, there was something different about him that William couldn't wrap his head around just yet. His presence was different…Tamer and less vile.

Before Springtrap made his move, Charlie emerged from the other entrance to the room.

"Hands up!" He said as he pointed his firearm at him, making Alison recoil and shout in horror.

"No, don't shoot, please!"

"You're under arrest," Charlie announced as he walked in.

"F-for what? Are you even a cop?!"

"I said, hands up!"

"I'll…I'll do you one better!" He said, pulling out a gun from his own pocket and pointing it at Charlie. "Don't come close. I'm armed, and I will shoot! This is outrageous, this is insane, this is my restaurant, you have no right to be here!" As his hands shivered and he grew more agitated, Will realized that Charlie would need help very soon. He slid inside the room while Alison was still distracted and tried to get an advantageous position for an attack.

"And you have no right to walk free after all the people you've tortured and killed," Charlie said sternly, making Alison freeze on the spot.

"What…Oh, great, you know." He said fearfully and awkwardly, accidentally confessing the worst of his crimes. What a pathetic creature to think that William served him unquestionably once was revolting. Soon, another voice echoed from the spot Springtrap had just left.

"You know, I'd do what he says." Elizabeth emerged from the shadows. She was armed, as well, making Alison cornered and outmatched. "Thanks for admitting to murder; by the way, I'm sure police will have a field day with that."

"I…I…I will fucking shoot! You two are insane! I will call the real police, and they will have you rot for the rest of your lives. And if you don't let me, I…I'll kill you!"

"No, you won't."

"And why is that?" Alison said, making Springtrap speak with his robotic, menacing voice and finally reveal his presence.

"Turn. Around." Those words made Alison freeze once again, forcing the room to fall into complete silence for a moment. Eventually, he slowly turned toward the animatronic and looked up at the scarred figure before him. A fiend risen from beyond the grave, the phantom of this place's past, Springtrap, a creature driven by his desire for vengeance. And now this worm was finally at his mercy. The silence was interrupted by a number of gunshots. All of them pierced Springtrap's carcass, but this caused him no pain nor slowed him down at all. He wasn't human anymore; he was practically invincible. "Pathetic," William said before pulling the gun away from Alison's hands and tossing it to the side.

"I…P-please, don't hurt me…I can…"

"Oh, no, no, no. Too late for that." William dismissed him before grabbing Alison's neck with his heavy metal hand. He raised him above the ground as the man shivered and wriggled, trying to break free from those shackles to no avail. His face began to grow red as he struggled to breathe, his eyes filled with dread and terror. "Do you realize how much I waited for this moment? Do you even realize who I am? The man that you had signed the contract and become your chief engineer…You killed my wife and experimented on my son! I will make you suffer like they did like I did! And I don't care how much you will beg; in fact, the more you do, the better! And now…"

"William." Charlie's stern voice echoed from the doorway. "You're getting too excited…Put him down." William's first instinct was to deny him, but the detective was right. They had an agreement and a plan. It was too early for Alison to die. Eventually, Springtrap released Alison, making the weakened man fall on the floor, and he coughed and crawled on his knees.

"I…Can explain…" He continued to act confused and puny as if trying to provoke William.

"Explain what, worm? You revealed your secrets to me a long time ago; there's nothing to…"

"I'M NOT ALISON!" He screeched in despair, making the room go silent for a few moments immediately after. The statement so absurd and insane that William felt as if he was in the middle of some poorly-staged comedy. Elizabeth was the first one to speak.

"Come on, that's the best bluff you could come up with?" Elizabeth chuckled. "You're disappointing."

"You expect us to buy that?" Charles said dismissively.

"He…He told me I should expect someone to try and get in. Said this is very important and…I didn't expect to be used as bait, especially not for…This…"

"What in the world are you on about?" William continued to be suspicious, but he felt his rage subside and get turned into genuine curiosity instead. There was something more to this.

"Listen, I…I don't actually need a cane to walk, alright, it's…It's just an act!" He stuttered before tearing his eye patch away. To William's surprise, it revealed a normal, healthy eye without a single sign of a scar.

"What in the…"

"Do you believe me now?" The man said as he stood up and looked around, finally regaining a semblance of confidence in his voice.

"Explain yourself, now," William said.

"Okay, okay, just stop fucking choking me…God, he won't be happy if I tell you…"

"And I won't be happy if you don't." Spingtrap threatened him. "I wonder how much pain can you endure…"

"No, no need for that. I said I'll explain! So…The name's Pete. Peter Burrows for full."

"Pete…" Charlie's intrigued voice echoed from behind. "Are you a friend of Kyle Kayarn, by chance?"

"Yes, I am! It feels like bloody years since I saw him last time. Is he doing alright?" Pete wondered.

"Don't get distracted and tell us what the hell is going on."

"Alright, alright. So, I once worked at Fazbear Inc., yes, I knew some…Eh, uncharitable secrets. I guess you could call them that. Then the whole organization kinda fell apart, and I left to find a new career, wanted to become an actor."

"Kyle said as much. He also said you disappeared."

"I had to! See, one day, I got an anonymous message from who I now know to be Alison. He said that he knows where I am and will kill me if I don't comply with his instructions…He wanted me to take a disappearance and never tell anyone of this message and then come meet his agents at a classified place."

"And you just went along with it?" Springtrap wasn't impressed.

"Hey, I didn't want to fucking die! I came here and met his guys…He wasn't there in person but spoke through a computer they brought, no image or anything, just a voice with some distorting effect, really weird shit. There, he just laid out what I was about to do."

"And that was?"

"Well…I'd have to go through plastic surgery and change my face to resemble his, take an eyepatch, cane, all those kinds of things, and then pose as him." A tale awfully familiar, Will had to go through the same thing before traveling to New Harmony. "I wasn't given a chance to refuse, but at least he promised to compensate me well for this job."

"And so you relaxed him in public?" Elizabeth wondered. "And how often?"

"Always. I'm pretty sure Alison doesn't appear in public at all. Hell, he never even had us meet; he just gave his instructions remotely. I open the restaurants here and say, talk about stuff he says to talk on television." Despite William not wanting to accept that he was fooled, it made sense. This man wasn't ill or injured, unlike Alison, whose condition must have gotten worse day by day.

"And this maintenance…" William asked as he clenched his fist. "He told you to expect us?"

"He said he wanted to lure his enemies out or something. I was expecting some marauders but not fucking Springtrap…You were supposed to be an animatronic in Fazbear Fright; how are you even…"

William didn't let him finish and ruthlessly knocked Pete out. Silence again…

"It doesn't seem like he's lying," Elizabeth said quietly, the three of them still haven't fully grasped the prospects of this revelation.

"Agreed." Charlie nodded. "But if real Alison expected us…Does this mean he's watching, somehow?" This was an unsettling thought that William shared. Alison was smarter than he thought, and for some reason, it felt as if they were playing right into his hands.

"Let's…Get out of here. We aren't safe."
