King
Strongest Man On Earth
It wasn't supposed to end up like this, he didn't want any of this! All he wanted was to work through a Hero's agency as an assistant of sorts, you know, pay for his gaming hobbies. He took general studies through U.A. high school, earned his graduate degree, and took up a job under All Might's hero agency. Sir Nighteye was quite the staunch supporter and fan of the hero, which made his attempts to sign up under the agency all the more difficult. He had figured if he worked as a supporter for the agency, the money would be decent seeing as how he would be working under the number one hero of Japan. It took some effort to pass. Mirai Sasaki, aka Sir Nighteye, was strict on anyone wishing to sign up under All Might's agency. He was just glad he knew a few good corny jokes to pass one of the guy's tests, suffice to say though, he earned his way to work within the agency.
Things seemed to change like always, and because of his 'luck' he's been cursed with; several happenstances had him run into many villains that attempted to run away from Allmight while he was in the area to provide help in writing arrest reports. The Villains would bump into him in his attempts to get out of the way, only to run into hazards that'd put them out of commission; heck, sometimes they'd slip on something before they even tried rushing at him and attempting to take him hostage! Eventually it began to escalate with the more powerful villains, and his awful luck would still somehow bite him in the butt. He was told he had a quirk, but it never came to be seen, but now he's starting to suspect he has some luck quirk of all things. If each time a villain confronts him they soon get incapacitated by some inane slip up, then he strongly suspects something was going on pertaining to whatever invisible quirk he was born with.
When police and people began to connect wild theories between him and Allmight, it was only a matter of time until he was forced to take up hero remedial lessons to earn his license. He didn't want it, he just wanted to stick back on the sidelines and be paid a reasonable salary. What he didn't expect was for the principal of U.A. to be so convincing in reasoning with him, he took the attempt in belief he'd fail and just stay with a comfortable job. Reality however seems to look at him and throw him at the worst scenarios and come out on top through bullshit luck!
So now here he was, his own agency, Strongest Man On Earth, fans chanting his Hero Name 'King', he desperately wishes he had the nerves to actually explain himself; he's tried so many times to explain his 'victories', only to earn mental gymnastic reasonings from the people he has tried to tell the truth to.
But that's enough kicking himself of his miserable Hero Career, right now he has just left a store with a new game in hand. A hobby of his to cool his nerves and forget the awful luck quirk that has cursed his life, and he seriously doubts it's a quirk at all. There is no way for a human to possess some ability to effect causality, then again, reality is stranger than fiction nowadays with the advent of quirks.
At the moment, as King had just left a gaming store, he was greeted to the back side of a man with muscles outside his body and past him he could see two heroes wounded and on the ground. Their momentary lapse of vision directed at him caused the Villain to glance over his shoulder and smirk down at him, and had the villain turn and face him with a look of malice and delight. "Well well, another corpse to add to the pile!" he boasted with a sadistic grin as he stepped towards King.
BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP
The man known as Muscular, who was stepping towards a new victim to add to his tallies, stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the fabled King Engine. Muscular panicked and stepped back as he finally recognized the scarred face of the strongest hero of Earth, "How! When…why are you already here!?" Muscular demanded in fright.
BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP
""It's King!"
"Look! It's King!"|
"He's here to save the Heros!"
As King just stands before Muscular with a stone cold face, the Villain began to panic more as the sound of the King engine began to increase in tempo.
"Crap! It's happening again! All I did was come to this store to buy the new honey dating sim!" King screamed in his mind, all the while holding up a poker face of a stern hero confronting Muscular.
Muscular's lips quivered in anger as he clenched his fists and stopped stepping backwards, "No! I refuse to back down!" he began to say with a manic look of excitement now, "Heck! If I can beat the strongest man on Earth, then I'm one step closer to beat All Might after I defeat his successor!" Muscular shouted in delight.
King sighed and closed his eyes, "...grief.." he mumbled out, the actual sentence he spoke though under his breath was 'Why is life always giving me grief'; however, Muscular took the word as an unfinished sentence he began to piece together.
"Grief? What could he mean by that? That all I'll get is grief if I fight him!? That all I'll expect when I fight him is crushing grief upon my defeat!?" Muscular mentally yelled in panic and anger,
King's eyes opened back up and looked like they were glaring at Muscular, "Look, I only came here to pick up a few things, can we just forget about today and act like this never happened?"
"This…this…is he saying that all I've done is nothing compared to what he'll do to me? He'll do me in like I never existed!?" Muscular panicked in his mind while his face curled into anger.
BUMPBUMPBUMPBUMPBUMP
The King's engine began to sound faster, causing Muscular's instincts to go into fight or fly; he chose the former, as evident when he charged at King. "Don't mock me!" he yelled as he ran towards King with his muscle augmentation going into overdrive, his body mass increased as his muscles grew in size while he charged at King.
BUMPBUMPBUMPBUMPBUMP
"Wait, you're about to run over an open sewer." King said something under his breath while holding his hand out in a halting gesture, but all Muscular thought was King preparing to attack; his anger and bloodlust drowning out any words that King was trying to say.
"Show me what you got strongest man on earth! What are you about to do with that hand out like that? Is it sort of martial arts-" Was all Muscular was thinking before his foot slipped into an open manhole, thus tripping him up and causing him go through different painful accidents that'd he'd later believe with King performing some unknown powerful martial arts.
First, he broke his leg from tripping into the manhole.
Second, the velocity in which he sprinted toward King caused him to trip and fly forward with a bent leg in the wrong direction.
Third, his massive body rocketed into the store behind King and continued out through the back towards an old propane refinery.
Fourth, his body somehow carried with it through the building a matchstick that got caught between his muscles.
Fifth, the matchstick lit up when Muscular's body zoomed past a pile of sandpaper.
And finally sixth, Muscular's body flew into a group of propane tanks that burst open from him impacting into them.
In a span of ten or even less seconds, Muscular had charged at King, only to end up being engulfed in a propane explosion on the other side of a wrecked up gaming store.
As people cheered for King and the Water Hose duo thanked him for saving them and arriving on time, the strongest man on earth only gave out a sigh and requested the folks to let him go about his day.
"Damn it! It happened again!" King Screamed in his mind.
KING!
STRONGEST MAN ON EARTH!
King
Strongest Motivator In The World
(As if! I'm just pulling quotes from the Mangas I read!)
"I must insist!" Sir Nighteye begged as Toshinori Yagi struggled to walk away through the hospital, Sir Nighteye stepped forward and palmed his chest. "Just let me find a successor for you, that way you can retire and escape your inevitable death!" the man begged his hero idle.
Sir Nighteye's words fell on deaf ears however as Toshinori Yagi, no, All Might left through the elevator doors that opened up near him, and left the floor to grab whatever he could manage to eat with what stomach he had left.
Mirai Sasaki, or as his Hero name is known as, Sir Nighteye, wilted in despair while palming his head to ease his worries. Nearby were Nezu, Torino and King, all were present for one reason or another as Yagi close confidants who had shown up after Yagi's admittance into the hospital; Yagi's fight against All For One took a heavy toll on the Hero known to many as All Might, and it wouldn't be long until Yagi's life expectancy would be up if he kept pushing himself with his wound. All present save one said their piece of telling Yagi to pass his quirk on to a successor, the only one that hadn't spoken up was King.
Sasaki rounded on King with a heated look, "Why didn't you say anything Kenshiro?" he demanded heatedly, Sasaki swept his arm to where Yagi had left through and continued to speak, "Is this how you repay Toshinari? By staying silent in his time of need?" he demanded from King.
King's normal stoney facade that most civilians were familiar with was all that showed as the man's reaction, before it broke with a downcast look and sigh. He had arrived in his civilian clothing, an attire that he's always caught wearing when facing down villains; that is, King never had any chances to have a consume made, cause most of the time he's always facing villains during his time off. A simple yellow hoodie with the words Honey Dater on the back, something he won in a draw a number lottery, his pants were simple jeans as well along with casual sneakers. All in all, King tended to always be seen without a hero suit on while 'fighting' villains, which led to him going through laundry quite a bit whenever any of the villains accidently cause them self to bleed out and splatter blood on his clothes when his luck causes said villains to have unfortunate accidents when they face him.
Doesn't help matters either when he tries to perform first aid on the villains if his luck causes his 'victims' to incur gashes or cuts, then he's seen as a magnanimous hero that saves anyone no matter who they were. He deeply regrets now taking first aid classes, but it was Sir Nighteye's insistence that he takes the classes.
Back to the matter at hand though, King withdrew his hands out of his hoodie's pocket on the front and held his hands out in a placating manner towards Sasaki, "It's…it's not that…uh Mirai." he began to reason with a downcast look, "It's…" he made a pensive look before sighing again and relaxed his arms by his side before using one to rub the back of his neck in worry.
Sasaki let out an irritable noise escape his lips, before pushing his glasses up on his nose. "Well! Out with it!" he demanded furiously.
Nezu looked up at Sasaki from his position, he held his paw up and waved it in a placating manner as well. "Now now." he began to say with a grim smile, "Let Kenshiro explain himself in his own words, I'm sure he's just as conflicted as us!" he reasoned.
King ceased rubbing the back of his neck and relaxed his posture before looking directly into the eyes of his once superior, "Look, try to look at things from Toshinori's point of view." he began to reason with Sasaki,
Sasaki narrowed his eyes at King, "I fail to see the point in that, why would I? Toshinori needs to think about the future, he shouldn't be going off and continuing his heroics any longer like he used to!"
King shook his head negatively and pointed at Sasaki, "And that's why you'll never understand him then, Toshinori isn't some mythical hero we all looked up to. He wants to continue being that hero that'll always be there." he began to explain, only to be cut off once again by Sasaki.
"He'll die though!" Sasaki yelled in anger and worry over his Idle Hero, "He needs to find a successor soon, and retire to a quiet life!" he fretted out with his fists clenched in sadness, aggravation, worry…
"Some Heroes just don't know the meaning of stop." King began speaking again, earning the attention from everyone as he walked over to look out though the hospital hallway windows. "I know there are heroes out there that would stop at this point in their career, but All Might, no Yagi isn't like them."
King continued speaking while the other three stared at his back, "He's a mortal man just like you and me, but he's a man that has always aspired to be the hero that brings smiles to the children's faces, to be there when times are tough, be there and say, 'Have no fear, for I. Am. Here."
King then turned to look back at the others with a downcast look of his own, "To tell Yagi to stop would be anathema to what he stands for, it is a slap to his face and everything his worked so hard to give to society. Telling All Might to cease his heroics is no less than telling him to drop dead as well."
The words King used at the end of his sentence caught Sasaki's breath in his throat, preventing him from making a retort. With none of the three to make a retort, King took his leave towards the elevator. "I hope some of my words at least help."
"Bull shit! I'm just pulling inspirational passages from various manga!" King screamed at himself in his mind while he walked away.
From Sir Nighteye's position, the man smirked and let out a short but soft chuckle while pulling his glasses off to wipe a stray tear from his eye.. "Kenshiro, no, King…which manga were those words from?" he asked with a smirk while placing his eye glasses back on.
King's shoulder's relaxed while he turned his head to look at Sasaki after he pushed the down button on the elevator's control panel, he offered a simple smile back. "Eh, bits and pieces from various ones…wanna grab a bite to eat?" he offered his old superior.
Sasaki harrumphed with mirth and followed after King, "I suppose some catching up between us is in order, gladly." he worded out while he followed king into the elevator.
Meanwhile with Nezu and Torino, the principal of U.A. Highschool laughed with unhinged delight. "My, what a hero Kenshiro turned out to be." he mused with his arms now folded behind his back, Torino meanwhile let out a snort of amusement. "That's an understatement." the old hero spoke under his breath.
King
The Strongest Inspirationist
(Like hell! Where are people coming up with these titles?)
Bystanders of civilians and hero alike stood back as the Sludge Villain made use of Bakugo's quirk after taking control of the boy's body, Izuku himself didn't understand why the three heroes didn't do anything; at the moment now, the boy was clawing his way into the Sludge villain to try and save Bakugo. The bystanders only shouted out at him to stop and get away until a hero with the right quirk came, but All Izuku could think at the moment was saving Bakugo's life.
Meanwhile in the crowd in the back, Toshinoro Yagi was conflicted with him. His One For All 'quirk' was all spent up now, but here he was watching a kid without a quirk at all throwing himself into danger to save an innocent life. Yagi gripped at his wound in despair, he could try eking out a bit more power to save the kids, but his allotted time would no doubt be decreased from overuse of what he was able to use per day.
While all this was going on, up in one of the upper floors of the nearby store that villain incident was taking place beside, King was in an apartment he owned that sat directly above the store. The man looked down with annoyance when his toilet wouldn't flush right, and it was almost overflowing; he had just finishing mopping up his bathroom floor with a mop and bucket, and now with a bucket full of dirty water and floor cleaner, he couldn't precede with dumping the contents of it into the toilet with the way it is.
"Good grief…" King muttered as he carried his mop bucket out with him from the bathroom and towards his kitchen, he momentarily glanced at his sink full of dirty dishes; of all the times he lets his dishes pile up, it happens when he needs to dump a mop bucket full of dirty water and soap. King glanced around for a window to toss the dirty out through, preferably one that faced the alley way. However, King realized the apartment with a window facing an alley way was his previous home, the one he lived in now only had two windows facing the main street.
Sure, King could've gotten some upscale apartment or home with the hero salary he pulls in from being one of the top ranked heroes of Japan, but for convenience sake, King opted to live in a simple apartment above a store. The location was worth it, its location was within walking distance of most stores he frequented and the distance to the metro train system was reasonable as well.
Choice of living space aside, King made his way out of his apartment and up through the indoor stairway leading up to the roof of the building. Push his way through the door that led out to the roof of the building, King carried the mop bucket with him to the edge of the roof. The man could distinctly hear cries of shout below, but didn't think anything of it. More often than not, the area was abuzz with Heroes making public appearances and signing out autographs. The public hasn't caught on just yet as to where he lives, seeing as how he had just moved here not long ago.
With a heave from King, the man held the mop bucket up by the handle while grasping the bottom of it to toss the dirty mop water out to the alleyway below. With a slosh and splash of the water, the dirty mop water was dumped out and descended down to harmlessly splash the ground below. King set his mop bucket aside and peered over the edge of the roof wall that went up to his waist, allowing him to lean on it and peer over down to see if he accidentally splashed an unfortunate passerby.
"WHAT THE HECK!? I'M DISSOLVING!?" Cried out the Sludge Villain from down below, prompting King to make a stupefied look of shock and incredulity. He could see two children were once held captive by the Villain, and now as the Sludge Villain was dissolving, the two kids were being wretched free by three heroes that took the opportunity to rush in and pull the two boys out of the dissolving mess of the Sludge Villain.
Many of the spectators below were now pointing up at him with looks of awe and excitement, prompting King to feel anguish and despair in belief his new location of living space was comprised; it was not just that either, King and his 'luck' most likely interfered with the heroes down below from doing their duties. The man has come across quite a few heroes that took exception to him being 'in the way' of their jobs, much more so with Endeavor and the several times he's crossed paths with the guy during his patrols and pursuit of Villains.
It's not his fault the Villains cross paths with him during the times he goes out grocery shopping, or anything else that pertained to King roaming into different prefectures for personal reasons.
The three Heroes below, after rescuing the two boys from out of the now dissolved mess that was once the Sludge Villain, waved up at King with grateful smiles. "I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't arrived on time with the Sludge Villain's weakness!" Hollered out Kamui Woods.
Backdraft nodded in agreement towards Kamui Woods while Izuku and Bakugo were taken to the nearby paramedics for injuries checkups, "Leave it to King to arrive just in time and think of a strategy so quick!" The hero reasoned naively.
"But…" King murmured with a downcast look of mental exhaustion, "It's happening again!" He screamed in his mind.
Death Arms gave King a two finger Salute before the three Heroes made their exit, "We'll take it from here King, thanks for arriving in the nick of time!" he hollers out while the three heroes head towards the police in the process of cordoning the area off.
As the heroes leave to confront the police and aid in cordoning off the alleyway where the Sludge Villain was but a puddle of his dissolved goop self, the crowd cheered with chants towards King.
"KING. KING. KING. KING. KING!"
King's normal stoney facade meanwhile stayed the same as he left from the view of the public eye, but once he entered back inside through the roof doorway, he slammed the door shut and leaned against it with a panicked face. "Crap, crap, crap! I just moved here! I don't mind the fans, but it doesn't help matters when I want a moment's rest to myself!" he screamed at him as he slid down against the doorway.
Sweat dripped from his forehead as he tried to think of a solution, normal fans were all well and good, but the rabid ones and the paparazzi that tended to invade his private space tend to get out of hand. Oh sure, most tend to respect his privacy, but then there's the more bold ones that go a step above and invade his home to steal his personal effects. "...wait…" King began to think to himself as he wiped the sweat off his brow.
If he remembered correctly, the heroes that were there and the crowd had made assumptions that he 'arrived' on the scene to help, no one bothered to piece it together that he lived in this apartment. Picking himself up and brushing his plaid shirt off, "heh." he chuckled at himself, "Yeah! I'lll just leave and walk out the side and make them believe I don't live here…for now." he smirked as he proceeded to head away down and exit the building.
"Just gotta ask the folks no autographs or words from the reporters, the go to excuse that I have other places to be." King reasoned to himself as he made his way to the exit from the stairway leading to the outside.
Meanwhile Later, Elsewhere With Izuku
The Quirkless boy let out a depressed sigh as he headed home, he had tried to get a word in edgewise with King, but the guy was swamped by fans and reporters alike. He at least wanted to ask from the Strongest Hero on Hero, Bar All Might, about his burgeoning desire to be a hero even with his condition of having no quirk to speak of. A second opinion if you will, from one of Japan's strongest heroes.
As he dragged his feet across the sidewalk and gazed down in disappointment, he didn't catch the sight of King rounding the corner of the next street. With an abrupt stop in his walking and landing himself on his rear on the pavement from bumping into someone, Izuku scrambled to get back up and profusely apologize to the person he bumped into. A coarse hand was place his shoulders and pushed Izuku to stand up, "You're fine kid, just watch your step. Alright?" a familiar spoke.
Izuku sniffed his nose while wiping the residue tears out of his eyes while he gazed up, the sitting sunlight momentarily skewed his vision until he finally realized who he bumped into. "King!" He yelled in awe and shock, and was about to bow in deeper to apologize, only for King to hold him up from doing so.
"Look kid, if you wanna apologize so much, mind not spreading word you saw me here?" King asked of Izuku while releasing his grip on the boy's shoulder and using his hand to rub the back of his neck in embarrassment.
Izuku blinked while numbly nodding, unsure how to handle his situation any further. King smiled back in response and took his leave and went around Izuku to continue walking, "Thanks kid."
Izuku stumbled around before rounding on King as he faced the hero leaving the area. "Wait! I got a question!" He hollered out to the man.
King momentarily stopped and glanced back at Izuku with stoney face, "What, need an Autograph?" 'Come on! I just want to go home and relax!'
Izuku gulped deeply and clenched his fists at his sides with his eyes squinted shut, "IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE A HERO WITHOUT A QUIRK!?" He yelled/asked.
"What the hell!? How do I answer that!?"
After a few moments of silence passed with no word from King, Izuku feared the worst to hear the same words anything close to what All Might said. "Well…what kind of hero are you wanting to be?" King asked as he turned to face Izuku with a neutral expression.
Izuku blinked his eyes open and stared at King, "Huh?"
King shrugged, "I said, what kind of Hero are you aiming to be without a quirk?" he answered.
"Okay, time to wing it like I always do."
With Izuku yet to answer King, the hero began to list a few things with his fingers. "Look, kid. You can't just go in and be a hero just because you want to be, especially without a quirk." the hero chastised the boy, earning a downtrodden look from Izuku, "That goes the same even if you had a quirk." he added, getting Izuku's full attention with a shocked look.
"Wait, what?" Izuku muttered loudly.
"okay, okay, time to give it the ol' King made up speach like always! It always works somehow!"
"One, Hero buisness isn't a walk in the park, I would know, two, it takes more than some flashy quirk to be a hero, three, since you have no quirk, I suggest you work out and learn martial arts, go to Myagi's, tell'em Kenshiro sent you, the old man there will understand, four, the life of a hero is fraught with peril and unspeakable amount of paper work after you arrest villains, so be prepared for carpal tunnel….uh kid?" King began to back away when he saw Izuku cry a river of tears with a look of awe towards him.
"Holy crap, it work!?"
"I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER MY FORMER SUPPORTER!" Toshninori exclaimed as he bursts into view from around the corner, before puffing momentarily up into his All Might form, "FOR I AM HERE!" he announced proudly, before deflating back to his skinny form. While Izuku blinked and looked widely at Yagi, King smiled and the man held his palm up in greeting. "Hey Toshinori." he greets candidly.
Yagi greeted the man with an equally expressive face with his hand up in greeting, "Ah, Kenshiro, I supposed Musutafu was the place you've moved to, huh?" he asked.
King shrugged with a smile and placed his hands into his pockets as he began to shoot the breeze with Yagi, "For now at least, not sure when I should move again to escape the paparazzi." King explained, earning a boisterous laugh from Yagi.
Izuku all the while could only look on in shock as two of Japan's most popular heroes were just conversing in front of him, his head swiveled back and forth between King and all might until he finally fainted.
AN; So here are my other snippets cross posted over from Space Battles, three in total.
