Musutafu

Upon exiting out the front door of his hero agency, King glanced off to the side to see Mirko was already leaping from rooftop to rooftop of the buildings towards where there was destruction going on from one of the Nomu wreaking havoc on the city; rushing out of the building as well was Koichi in his Skycrawler hero costume, "I'll evacuate the civilians in the area, King." Koichi flashed him a two fingered salute before rushing off to rescue any nearby civilians of the fight between Mirko and whichever Nomu she was up against once she arrived at the scene. King was about to stop his 'sidekick' of his agency and aid him instead, but decided against it on a few reasons; there were innocent lives at stake, and the police needed all the help they could to get the civilians to safety while before the property damage between Mirko and the Nomu she fought up against escalated too far.

That, and he was sure there were more than one of those creatures set loose in Musutafu; King wasn't sure how far his luck would aid him against a mindless remotely creature would fare against his luck. On a fundamental level, his quirk could quite literally affect reality on a wide scale if Sir Nighteye's theories were right; on a metaphysical level, one could attribute his luck to causality in an abstract idea.

Thoughts aside, King jumped a bit in fright when something heavy landing behind him on the street while he was looking in the direction where Mirko went off to fight whichever Nomu was wreaking havoc upon the populace; with trepidation blaring in his mind, all the while keeping up a stony facade, King slowly turned an look over his shoulder.

Bump bump bump bump

King's heart began to beat harder and louder when he saw a Nomu the size of a building with a body builder's physique, King's eyes dilated in fear as he glanced upwards to see the nomu's head and saw it had a snout like a dog with six eyes and a protruding brain. "Shit shit shit!" King cursed inwardly as the Nomu's eyes looked down with its muscles bulging and fists clenching. King began to step backwards in fear, there didn't seem in any way for his luck to save him now with nothing around to help intervene at the moment.

Just as the Nomu made for an immediate punch straight at king's head, "Hyah!" yelled King in fright as he stepped backwards and tripped his heel on the edge of a sewer lid; As King fell onto his back from tripping over, the Nomu's fist narrowly missed its intended target and swung its fist into a nearby car parked on the side of the street. With a loud metal crash, the Nomu's fist got caught in the vehicle's door. With his chance to escape open, King scrambled to get up and sprint towards a construction site.

Meanwhile with the Nomu, its internal commands given to it prompt it to heat up its arms and cause the metal around it to melt off around its arm; Once its arm was free, the Nomu released a loud howl before it began its chase after King on all fours. As the two ran, one making a sprint for his life and the other in hot pursuit, it wasn't long until they came up to a four-way crossing. Just as King crossed the street while the pedestrian light was on 'don't walk, he continued to run regardless while still being chased by the Nomu behind him who was closing in the distance between the two.

Meanwhile on the road, a semi-truck with a tired driver was seen speeding towards the cross, just after King Safely crossed the road; The Driver's eyes snapped open when he realized he was about to slam his truck into the next pedestrian that he swore looked too big to be normal. As the driver slammed his feet onto the breaks, he steered to the side and whipped his trailer around in the process as his truck slid sideways from the momentum it carried with it.

King on the other hand quickly looked behind him when he heard tires screeching and a semi-truck's engine, he stopped to turn and watched as he witnessed the Nomu get practically tail whipped by a sliding Semi-Truck's trailer. With a loud crash, the Nomu was sent flying into a nearby construction site with a bare boned building made up of nothing but steel beams and concrete. King, erring the side of caution, and some hope that the Nomu was done in, he quickly made his way over to the construction site and looked around to find where the Nomu landed at.

Laying atop a pile of broken wooden pallets, the Nomu began to convulse its muscles before slamming its fists to punch the ground and stand back up and look in the direction of King who stood at the entrance of the construction site.

Bump bump bump bump

King's heart began to beat faster as the Nomu leapt up into the scaffoldings of the site and ran towards him from above, his face never wavering in the slightest but on the inside he was panicking. "What do I do now?" he asked himself as the Nomu lunged through the air once more and down towards him. Just as the Nomu was descending down towards King with its arms raised and fists clenched to strike the fear stricken hero down, one of the cranes were still being operated by a clueless worker that had his headphones on and was not paying attention to when his boss and co-workers told him to evacuate the area.

As the construction worker operated the crane to swivel its load of steel beams around, he operated it towards where the Nomu was descending down towards King; with a loud clang of metal hitting bone and flesh, the Nomu was sent flying into a pile of instant drying cement bags. The sudden cause of a shift in weight of whatever the worker hit with his payload of steel beams prompted him to cease his operations and have the load of metal rebars on a pallet hang just over the Nomu coincidentally.

Exiting out from the cab of the crane, the worker looked down and noticed King was facing off against a creature of sorts and the hero had it sprawled on its back. "Oh shoot, it's King!" He yelled in surprise, before taking notice of his situation of being the only worker on site. "Crap! My boss is going to tan my hide for ignoring protocol!" He yelled at himself, realizing he needed to exit the area so the hero could dispatch the villainous looking creature with ease and without worrying about his safety.

While the construction worker was busy evacuating the crane tower by periodically sliding down the metal ladder on its' side, King was beside himself not knowing the worker was present as his full attention was on the temporarily incapacitated Nomu. Said creature's body had caused the bags it fell on to rip and burst to cause a cloud of cement dust to be kicked up and coat its body gray. King swallowed a glob of spit out of nervousness as the Nomu shifted its weight on the pile of cement bags, before it leapt up and stood on its legs with a roar of anger.

From the worker's point of view, he watched as the grotesque looking creature lunge towards King with its hands out make a grab for King; The worker then noticed the crane he operated had its payload hang just over the Nomu, only to realize that when he stopped the crane so suddenly, it caused the pallet of rebars on its' end to swing a jerk back and forth. "King! He shouted in worry as he finally touched the ground and made for the exit, "Watch out above!" he shouted, before leaving the area, not bothering to stay and watch.

Both of the combatants' attention was quickly taken by the man's shouting as he left the area, the Nomu in particular not paying attention as its body came crashing in mid air into the swaying load of rebars on a pallet. With a loud crash and King quickly looking back at the Nomu before him, he watched with morbid relief as the creature went flying into the nearby building that was beside the construction site. With a loud boom of the Nomu's body, the creature crashed into the side of the building along with several rebar pipes jabbed into its body; some pipes were sent flying into the nearby building and stuck into the side of the place along with into the front torso of the Nomu in some places.

A loud creaking noise then prompting King to look up and witness the nearby building's water tank tower tip over, upon closer inspection, King noticed the metal frame holding the water tank tower up was already decrepit; thus with it tipping over and slamming its side onto the edge of the building's roof, its top came loose and bursted off before spilling its contents out. As the Nomu pulled itself free from off of the side of the building, its entire being became doused in water and slowly found its movement slow down from the quick drying cement caked on its body becoming wet.

Just as King watched the Nomu nearly become a cement statue of itself with rebar pipes sticking out of its body, the creature flexed its muscles and shattered the cement off of its body and furiously slammed its fist into the metal frame of the constructed building in progress; the metal girder the Nomu slammed its fist against buckled, and not long after, a bundle of more rebar pipes that were laying haphazardly on the steel girders fell off the buckling structure. With the sound of metal sliding and clattering to the ground below, King witnessed the Nomu get impaled by more rebar bars. One such bar impaled into the exposed brain of the Nomu, only for the creature to roar in pain and rush towards King in primal anger.

With an incredulous look on his face as he raised a shaking finger up to point at the Nomu, he spoke up over the roaring beast, his fear keeping him frozen stock still at his knee. "How are you not already dead?" he wheezed out in shock and fear.

Bump bump bump bump

King's heart beated louder and faster as the beast continued to run toward him, and raised its arm up to slam its fists into its foe; Just as the Nomu's fists were swung down towards King, who was frozen stock still from fear, the creature's fists stopped just a hair's breadth in front of King's face. The sudden stop of the Nomu's fists caused the air around them to shake, while blowing back King's hair a bit and causing his plaid over shirt to whip up a bit from the sudden gust of air. Not long after, the Nomu's body began to bulge and distort, before it exploded into a fine mist of blood with gore flying everywhere, some of which coated King in Viscera and innards with a stray exploded intestine hanging off his shoulder.

As King was trying to come to terms with what just had happened, a voice behind him spoke up with awe. "Holy shit, the Hokuto Shinken is real?!" Mirko yelled with a shock filled face of shock and awe. Her stance was that of surprised demeanor, as if she had just arrived at the tail end of a fight, only to see the Nomu be eviscerated by some epic move.

In reality with what happened with the Nomu, was, that with all the physical trauma dealt unto its body, combined with being impaled with so many rebar bars all over its body, especially in its exposed brain, it all caused a domino effect of its body exploding in such a fashion; What also attributed to the factors of the Nomu's body exploding were the stacked Quirks within it, the body could only hold so much, and with such a cocktail of quirk placed into it, it was only a matter of how was needed to cause the body to rip itself apart into a bloody mess.

Back to the present at hand, King turned to look at Mirko with a puzzled look, unsure what she meant by the Hokuto Shinken; He knew the reference, but he wasn't sure how she came to the conclusion of how she thought what had happened was the result of some fist of the north star move.

To put into better context, Mirko had finished off the Nomu on the other side of town, leaving her to rush and hopefully watch King fight off the other Nomu she was told he had led to a construction site to face off alone. What Mirko got instead, was, the tail end of the fight with King pointing up and saying, "You're already dead." , not getting the full scope of what King truly said with how the Nomu's roar made it difficult to hear over it while King spoke his legendary words. Instead of hearing 'How are you not already dead?', the misheard words came out as the 'Omae wa mou Shindeiru', an iconic set of words memed to this day and age.

Mirko chose then to rush over with stars in her eyes and smirk up at King, "Fight me!" she demanded.

"Whuh?" Was all King uttered out with a confused face.

Mirko began to bounce between her feet, and did a few practice kicks aimed up at the air. "Come on! Fight me! Now I gotta know how well you fight!" She challenged him.

King tried to make a placating gesture with his hands, "come on." She heard him say, and that's all she needed and stepped forward to lunge kick at King.

What King had said in an attempt to stop Mirko from making a challenge to him, was, "oh come on already", But in Mirko's battle frenzy mind while still on her adrenaline rush, she only heard what she wanted to hear. The next thing she knew, was being flung into a knocked out stupor inside the wall in the building nearby.

From King's point of view as he watched as Mirko took a quick step forward, the rabbit themed hero slipped on some left over viscera from the Nomu and was sent flying into the nearby building head first. King let out an exhausted and weary sigh, "Please let that be the last she tries challenging me." he begged to the cosmos above, but knowing Mirko's personality, she'd probably take this loss as a challenge to be better next time.
