"So what you're saying is I shouldn't sneak into Muzu's room and yell 'surprise!' cause he might have a heart attack and die?"
"Yes, Link, that's exactly what I'm telling you."
"So, what I'm hearing is that I shouldn't do that."
Mipha sighed, rubbing her temple as she closed her eyes. "Yes, as I just said."
"Just to clarify, under no circumstances should I do that thing?"
"Link."
He threw up his hands defensively. "I just need to make sure we're on the same page."
"Do. Not."
"Got. Crystal clear," he said, giving her a thumbs up.
"Lady Mipha!" Gaddison cried as she burst into the Princess' private quarters. "Please come quick!"
Mipha looked up sharply from the stack of documents she'd been reviewing. "What is it?!"
"It's Master Muzu! He -"
Mipha sprang to her feet and rushed out. Sprinting down the hallway in a fashion that was most ungraceful, she could only berate Link in her head. What had he been thinking? Despite his jests the night before, she'd thought she'd been rather clear. He was to leave the elder alone.
Sliding to a stop just outside the elder's quarters, she flung the door open just in time to see Muzu piledrive Link into the floor.
The Hylian knight collapsed into a heap on the ground as Muzu stood, rolling his shoulders as he turned his attention to Bazz, Rivan, and Sidon. The three younger men stared at Muzu, a mix of shock and horror on their faces. Even so, Bazz still charged forward to avenge his friend.
With practiced ease, the elder ducked under the captain's attempt to grapple him. Muzu returned with a single armed crotch lift and flung him away. Bazz slammed into the wall then slid to the floor in a heap of his own.
"What is going on here?!"
"I'm teaching these guppies to respect their elders!" Muzu snapped as he lunged for Rivan, managing to get the shell-shocked knight into a hold from behind. With speed and flexibility belying his age, the elder lifted the younger man and suplexed him.
Rivan let out a pained yelp, but remained frozen on the ground, staring up at the ceiling in fear. Meanwhile, Sidon had taken a defensive position of his own as Muzu's gaze settled on him.
"You wouldn't hurt the crown prince."
"The king can sire another heir," the elder replied dismissively.
They dashed toward each other. Somehow, perhaps due to sheer luck or some cunning on Muzu's part, Sidon managed to get the elder in a half-nelson. "Link!"
The Hylian knight, who'd been stumbling to his feet looked over.
"I have -"
The elder quickly dropped his center of gravity, unbalancing Sidon. Then, flinging himself forward into a dive, Muzu drove Sidon's head into the ground, causing the prince to slump to the ground with a groan. Straightening and shaking the prince off, he returned his attention to Link.
The Hylian knight, never one to back down from a challenge, unsteadily tried to advance.
Muzu leapt toward him, knocking Link back down into a pin.
"Now that I have you here, why don't I give you a lecture," Muzu hissed as Link tried to push back. Muzu only slammed him back down. "Now, if you were a fully-recognized citizen of the Domain, this would merely be illegal. However, you-"
Mipha slowly closed the door. With a blank expression and not a single coherent thought, she turned back the way she had come and walked slowly back to her room.
Perhaps she could return later?
