Urbosa peered into the darkened room, squinting through the darkness. With practiced ease, she managed to pick out the two small forms she expected to see. It was somewhat annoying that she had to check on the two young girls; however, she would remind herself that she had snuck out of her room to spend time with friends just as they were. This was all a part of growing up.

All she needed to do was have patience and remember that this too would pass. And if that failed, then she would amuse herself with the knowledge that, eventually, it would take an entire legion to get them out of bed.

Even though she could see their forms, she continued watching for a few seconds. Both Zelda and Mipha thought they were slick, but they weren't aware of their actual breathing patterns when they were asleep. It made it easy to see when they were faking slumber just by watching the rise and fall of their forms.

And right then, Urbosa could tell the two were faking it.

With a silent roll of her eyes, she shut the door quietly, giving them no indication she knew they were awake.

So long as they were quiet and didn't get up to anything too crazy, she would let this one go. Especially since all the kids had been well behaved as of late. It had been a stressful time, what with the ramshackle family being forced to uproot and move on such short notice. It would do the kids some good to get up to a little mischief while they were still young.

"They doin' okay?" Daruk asked as she returned to the living room.

"Yeah. They're faking it, but…"

"Yeah." That was something she appreciated about Daruk. While there were a lot of social norms and niceties that escaped him, there were times when he just understood. He didn't try to put words to what she was feeling, nor did he try to explain them away. He just got it. And even when he was a bit absent-minded when looking after kids or let himself get talked into one of Link and Revali's crazy schemes, that alone was enough to help her feel less alone.

"The boys?"

"Heh… Revali's still a bad liar."

Urbosa snorted. "Good. I like him that way."

"Me too. Whatcha think they've got planned?"

"Link is definitely gonna make snacks," Urbosa muttered with a grin. They had gotten the Hylian boy a small oven made for children as well as a number of foodstuffs to try in it.

"Think Revali is gonna try ta tell another ghost story?"

"Hmm… No. I think he's going to let Zelda tell another one. But he's definitely studying her techniques." The Rito was terrible at telling stories, but she had noticed that when he set his mind to doing something, he put the hours of study and practice in. She doubted he would pursue the art of storytelling seriously, but she was curious to see how far he would go before he was satisfied.

"Mipha's building a fort," Daruk said with a chuckle.

"Yeah… Yeah she is." Urbosa wasn't quite sure when the Zora's fort building had started. If she had to guess, it had been when she tried to create nice little nests for each of them to nestle in during their night time soirees. Each was meant to be custom for the person occupying it, and, as the group had become closer, the nests had scooched closer and closer together. And then, at some point, the Zora had tried to not only build them up to shield them all from prying eyes, but to blend all of them together. Now the fort didn't just represent one of them, but all of them.

It really was very sweet. And very funny.

"Sounds more excitin' than anythin' we've got planned."

"True…" Urbosa trailed off as her fond smile turned mischievous. "Unless…"

"We spy on em again," Daruk finished as he stood up. "I'm in."
