Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadows in the Dark. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon; Nintendo and a few others do.

Hervi hummed and looked at Mimikyu. The small Pokémon looked at its trainer with interest. Hervi leaned down to pet his creature atop its head while he rubbed at his temples.

"You know you're going to be fighting her, right?" Hervi questioned while he turned.

"Hervi? Can you come downstairs for a second?" Hervi heard as he grabbed his coat and huddled down the stairs.

"Yeah, why?" Hervi questioned as he turned and walked down the stairs while turning towards the sound of his uncle's voice.

He blinked as a small object rushed towards him. He barely had time to catch it before looking at the object in question. A great ball which his uncle had gotten a while ago.

"Huh?" Hervi asked as his uncle chuckled to himself.

"I saw you talking to that girl your Mimikyu chased away the fans for." Hervi heard from his uncle. "I wanted to surprise you. I heard you'd been eager to get around the region, you're going to need someone to keep you in line." Hervi heard his uncle state as he rolled his eyes.

He liked at the ball that continued what he expected to be the Duskull he had asked for. He blinked and then questioned just HOW his uncle had managed to get his hands upon this… But then again? He knew for a fact that his uncle was good at finding Pokémon, he had been a trainer at one point.

"You should go find that girl before her fan club starts swarming her." Hervi heard from his uncle as he put his Pokeball on his belt. "Besides, I didn't catch him just for you to get your butt whooped by her." Hervi heard from his uncle and then smirked.

"You never change, do you?" Hervi questioned as he nodded and cracked his fingers. "Ok, I'm going to get going, tell mom and… You never told me which moves Duskull has, you know." Hervi stated while he leaned on the wall next to him while he shook his head.

"Put it on this list, kid." Hervi heard while he hummed and took the list from his hand and then started to walk.

"Ok, that's going to be interesting." Hervi stated while he cracked his knuckles. "This is going to be stupid as well." Hervi said, shaking his head from side to side.

He started to walk with Mimikyu floating around him. It looked at the Pokeball on his belt while Hervi turned and patted its head. The Pokémon wasn't jealous considering it WASN'T a Pikachu then it was ok. Hervi guessed Marnie was far more powerful than his 2 Pokémon.

"Mim, can you hold this list?" Hervi questioned while he brought up the list his uncle had given him. "Duskull, huh? Then I'm about 10% more sure about winning this." Hervi stated as he spun Mimikyu's Pokeball on his finger.

He watched Mimikyu's eyes glow, a blueish light emitting from them as the list floated in front of him. Hervi squinted to look at this list with a new interest, hopeful that this could turn the battle in his favor and more curious in the Pokémon.

"Ok, let's see this." Hervi stated while starting to blink as he read down the list. "Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Astonish." Hervi said, looking at the Pokeball on his hip.

"Ok, if I was a girl with a giant fanbase." Hervi started to say as he folded up the list and put it in his pocket. "Where would I be?" Hervi questioned while he hummed.

Mimikyu floated away and down the road before turning to look around at his owner. Hervi was about to speak before the Pokémon turned and tilted his head.

"What are you doing, Mim?" Hervi stated before he the Pokémon turned and sped off. "Ugh, blast it, Mim…" Hervi muttered before running after the Pokémon.

The Pokémon flew off as fast as its ability to levitate would allow. He was NOT going to have a good time chasing after the creature. Hervi had forgotten just how fast the Pokémon could be. It was rather annoying the more he thought about it currently.

"Marnie?" Hervi asked as he turned to look around with interest. "Marnie?" Hervi questioned while he crossed his arms and then watched as Mimikyu slowly flew backed while he shook his head and sighed with annoyance.

"Marnie?" Hervi stated as he slowly heard the woman's voice a moment later.

"So, you've showed up?" Hervi heard from the woman as he shrugged. "You got another Pokémon?" Marnie asked, noticing the Pokeball a moment later.

"It's new, so yes… Why is that ok?" Hervi asked as Marnie nodded. "Do you have a place you want to battle or is it right here?" Hervi questioned with a crack of his fingers.

Marnie was silent, well aware of the interesting battle that would be coming up soon.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out this chapter was supposed to be longer, but I'm saving that for next chapter and such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show the start of the battle between both Hervi and Marnie and such. Untold then, Lighting Wolf out!
