Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Spartan and the Legionary. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own RWBY or Halo. Monty Oum, Microsoft, 343, and Rooster Teeth do.

Leo watched as the mountains slowly stopped moving. He turned to Winter as UNSC marines and Atlesian soldiers moved to secure the cargo.

"So, this is Vale, huh?" Leo asked as he stepped off the train. "Atlas lives in the snow, Vale lives in the hills?" Leo asked while he cracked his neck.

"That would be Mistral," Winter said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I suppose you're going to inform Captain Lasky about this currently?" Winter questioned which got a hum from Leo.

"Yes, considering what's going on currently? Yes." Leo said while sweeping his saw around. "I still have a feeling the 'White Fang' will return. If their willing to attack a military train directly? Then I don't see why they won't press their luck." Leo said and started to record a report to send to Infinity.

"I'm surprised Infinity won't be coming to Vale," Winter stated as Leo raised an eyebrow.

"Do you want a 5-kilo warship arriving in a non-militarized city?" Leo asked while shaking his head. "Infinity has enough firepower to turn cities into dust… Besides, how Infinity can fly around? They'd just be able to Slipspace jump here within minutes." Leo asked, gaining an eyebrow at this.

"Slipspace is where a ship rips a hole in space and moves into it…" Leo said and took a breath. "Everyone back home uses it to move from planet to planet faster… But if we're on a planet? Infinity can just jump from city to city… I'm sure they join us sooner or later." Leo stated as he shook his head.

"Well then, shall we be moving to Vale?" Winter asked as Leo hummed and watched a warthog rev up.

"I've got my ride; we're meet you there," Leo responded as he leaped off the train.

It was time the UNSC explored Remnant. Leo knew things would be interesting soon enough.

Leo boarded the warthog on the passenger side. He cracked his fingers and put his SAW on the floor.

"Man, we end one war and another one just pops up." One marine stated as Leo nodded.

"Tell me about it," Leo muttered and leaned back in his seat. "Any of you hear back from Infinity, yet?" Leo asked the gunner and driver.

"Their sending back up to here, not going to bring everything through." Leo heard from one of the marines. "Last I heard? Captain Lasky is still speaking to that general Ironwood guy." Leo heard as he rubbed at his armored chin.

Leo was curious about what came next. If the covenant were here? Then sooner or later they'd strike at humanity. Leo would be ready for their reappearance.

But the Prometheans? The insurrectionists? There was so much from their world that could spill over onto Remnant.

"You think the covenant will come back soon?" One of the marines asked Leo who shrugged. "I thought we stopped them at the Ark, but they just came back." Leo heard as he thought to himself.

They weren't the real covenant. Leo wasn't an idiot; they were a shadow of the empire. A creature that was born of hate, a desire to win the war that was already lost.

"Their terrorists, marine," Leo said while leaning on the side of the LRV. "Nothing more than a shallow empire of terrorists mad that we aren't dead. What did they want on Requiem? It's probably just another weapon to swallow up Earth." Leo stated and shook his head.

He wished Del Rio had listened to Master Chief the first time. Leo was on the bridge when Chief decided to defy him. The man was shocked that insulting humanity's guardian hadn't worked.

"Damn Del Rio," Leo muttered and shook his head. "If that jackass had just listened on Requiem? New Phoenix would be…" Leo started to say before shaking his head.

None of the marines questioned the thought. Most people hated Del Rio and blamed him for what happened on Earth. The man had decided to run from the Didact.

Infinity had the resources and firepower to easily deal with Jul's forces and the Didact, but they had run… And now millions were dead.

"Captain Lasky is much better." One of the marines said which got a nod at the moment. "Least he knows how to fight… We took that SOB on at Earth, Captain Lasky didn't run… And now that freak is dead." The other marine stated.

Leo watched as a town started to appear on the horizon. Leo grabbed his SAW from under his feet and turned to the marine next to him.

"I'll walk from here," Leo said and leaped out of the craft. "Get settled, we're going to be here a while… And I don't know how long it will be until then." Leo stated while letting out a hum.

Leo looked at the city. It was far less advanced than Atlas. This city probably didn't have access to the same tech that Atlas did, maybe they didn't trust them.

Perhaps that was the case, but Leo was still drawn to the city anyway. He slowly walked into the town, only pausing to watch a Pelican fly overhead.

Leo watched as a frigate-sized warship passed overhead. It looked similar to the Atlesian tech.

"So, they have flying warships now?" Leo asked and hummed as he put his SAW on his shoulder.

"So, this is Vale, huh?" Leo questioned as he looked up at one of the warships. "Quaint… And according to what General Ironwood said?" Leo asked before pointing at the building on the hill.

It could only be Beacon. Ironwood was nice enough to tell him that the academies were the lifeblood of the kingdoms. Still? His current duty is over.

"Spartan Cerule?" Leo heard over his suit's comm. "What's your status? We've been cleared for departure soon." Leo heard from Spartan Miller.

"Just arrived in Vale. Had a run-in with local insurgents." Leo responded, putting a hand to his helmet. "Say again, Infinity is traveling to Vale?" Leo questioned over his radio.

"Affirmative, we're still securing supplies," Miller said while clicking his tongue against his mouth. "Captain Lasky wants to take things slowly. Infinity's ground troops are going to be our eyes and ears, currently." Miller said as Leo hummed.

"And repairs, resupply?" Leo questioned while slowly walking towards town. "There can't be enough material to keep Infinity and all of us going," Leo stated while he hummed.

"Let Infinity's science division worry about that," Miller responded before he hummed. "Dr. Halsey is going to be stepping into the field at Atlas. I'll get back to you, spartan." Miller stated and his line went dead.

Leo hummed as the spartan blinked. Nobody trusted the doctor, but it wasn't like they had ONI around to temper her.

Leo shook his head, today would be a long day… And it was just beginning.

"Looks so… Plain, compared to other cities," Leo said while humming and keeping his SAW ready. "What am I saying? The UNSC and this place aren't the same." Leo questioned and continued his trek.

He watched one of the pelicans set down at Beacon. Leo wondered if more of the UNSC would be pulled here. The UNSC wasn't defenseless without the Infinity. However? It was a large part of their strategy.

"Well, at least the Didact is gone, and the covenant got dragged her," Leo stated as he passed by a group of people. "But we just gave Remnant more to deal with on their plate," Leo added as he shook his head.

"What is that thing?" Leo heard from a civilian as he turned to look around. "Is it from Atlas? It looks like it's from Atlas." Leo heard and mentally sighed.

'I guarantee they think Atlas is invading when they see Infinity.' Leo thought to himself, pondering his next move.

He cracked his neck; he kept his weapon ready. Nobody had stopped him, Leo wondered what their laws on carrying a gun around were at the moment.

"So, I heard more about the festival." Leo heard and turned to see a girl with a red cloak. "Atlas and Vacuo just announced their lineups. Should be cool!" Leo heard from said cloak-clothed girl.

He raised an eyebrow at this. Did Atlas talk about him at the moment? He was quite curious.

"Whoa!" Leo heard as the girl spotted him.
