Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Spartan and the Legionary. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own RWBY or Halo. Monty Oum, Microsoft, 343 and Rooster Teeth do.

Leo ran through everyone in front of him at the moment. The red cloaked girl who was busy looking over his SAW. That made him chuckle with amusement.

Another was a golden-haired girl with lilac eyes. She was trying and failing to pull the cloaked girl away. Another? Someone who looked so similar to Winter that Leo could tell that she was related.

Leo saw a black-haired woman who hung back, staying to reading and casting a few glances to him here and there. Leo could tell she was a cautious and studying individual.

"Ruby stop crowding them…" Yang put in as Leo chuckled.

"He." Leo said while crossing his arms. "I can assure you there's flesh and blood under this armor… I'm not a robot." Leo said, sarcasm dripping from his very tone.

"Obviously… But that armor isn't Atlesian." The white-haired girl put in as he turned to look at her.

"You aren't related to Winter, are you?" Leo questioned which got a surprised look from the girl. "I've already met her. You might want to talk to her, it's a long story." Leo said and looked at the other group.

A boy with a sword sheathed on his hip who looked slightly similar to a medieval knight. Another was a bubbly girl with a grenade launcher upon her back. Leo would question them about their weapons later.

Another was a man who looked like he dressed in clothing from the former eastern continent of Earth. Almost EVERY part of Earth was now part of the UNSC anymore.

"Well, you certainly don't look like your around here." The blonde man put in.

"You could say that…" Leo said while he turned to the cloaked girl. "Find it interesting? I'm surprised you can lift that, it's 21 pounds… Also, you shouldn't pull that trigger, those rounds explode… And nobody wants 72 explosive rounds flying around." Leo said which caused the girl to light up.

"72 ARMOR PIERCING EXPLOSIVE ROUNDS!?" She yelled while leaping around as Leo raised an eyebrow under his armored helmet.

"Ruby, I'm sure he has important work to do." Leo heard from the final person in the group.

He turned and raised an eyebrow. The woman was dressed in Greek like armor, he could see a dipylon style shield upon her back. She was dressed as similar to a classic spartan, the very thing that Dr. Halsey had based him and his predecessors upon.

"Not at the moment." Leo said as he crossed his armored hands over his chest. "Besides, I just got here… I think me and Specialist Schnee aren't on duty at the moment." Leo added while cracking his fingers.

Leo watched the group look at each other, he decided to contact Miller for a moment.

"Excuse me for a second." Leo said and snapped on his comm line. "Miller, does General Ironwood or Captain Lasky have any work for me?" Leo questioned while the line was silent for a bit.

"Not at the moment, their discussing work on Infinity's bridge, currently." Miller replied as Leo nodded. "Infinity will be arriving in Vale tomorrow. General Ironwood requested to be aboard when we arrived alongside Atla's fleet. I'll contact you if we have any work, spartan." Miller said and snapped off the line.

"So, your NOT from Atlas?" Ruby asked which got Weiss to glare at her.

"No." Leo said and looked at Ruby. "And I'm surprised you know a lot about that gun. I didn't tell you anything but the rounds explode." Leo said which got Ruby to sheepishly rub at the back of her head.

"I like weapons a lot." Ruby said which got Leo to chuckle. "I can tell a lot about it from then." Ruby said which got Leo to chuckle.

"Go ahead then, tell me about it and I'll fact check." Leo said as Ruby's eyes glittered.

"Please don't encourage her." Weiss said while Ruby leapt up and down before turning to him.

"It's 21 pounds like you said, I'm guessing the rounds are on a fuse, the gun fires slightly slower due to ammo." Ruby started to list which got nods. "The gun is 21cm lengthwise, 9 inches wide and I'm guessing 49.4 Meters is it's max range." Ruby questioned which got Leo to nod.

"Your pretty smart, that's all true." Leo said while crossing his arms and then watched a Pelican fly overhead. "You look like you've done some fighting yourself." Leo said as he turned to the spartan girl again.

How could he tell that they were warriors at the moment? Because he could see that several of them had weapons. He did question why they had weapons, but considering that he could simply ask General Ironwood or Winter? He didn't put much stock in it.

"Perhaps we could speak about this back at Beacon?" The spartan girl questioned, turning the group to her. "Professor Ozpin did say we should study for the Vytal festival." She said as Leo hummed.

"Professor Ozpin?" Leo asked while looking to her. "General Ironwood mentioned him. Said I should speak with him when we arrived, but I thought Winter would fill him in." Leo said while the girl looked at him with interest.

"We could show you to Beacon, then!" She said which caused Leo to hum.

"If's it's ok with you." Leo said while taking back his SAW and holstering it on his back. "I don't know Vale at all…" Leo said while tapping his fingers on his arms.

"So, we're just going to escort a hulking soldier around Vale?" Weiss asked as Leo followed behind them once more.

"Considering your sister was able to fight White Fang like I was?" Leo questioned as he followed after them. "I doubt you cant fight me if needed." Leo said while humming to himself.

Leo had seen a lot of interesting things in life, but people like this? No, he couldn't admit that he had ever met something like this before.

Leo followed after the group, each step faster than any of theirs. Leo found this far more peaceful then he had been in past years.

And despite what he had said earlier? He rather enjoyed that despite himself.

Leo cracked a smile under his armor. He thinks he'd rather like it here… As long as things were ok back home… He didn't know what was going to happen next, however. Leo wanted to be ready for anything that came their way…. No matter what came towards him.

Little did he know the Covenant would soon turn Vale into a battleground… Clashing with plans made long ago.
