Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Spartan and the Legionary. Enjoy the 2000-word chapter. I don't own RWBY or Halo. Monty Oum, Microsoft, 343, and Rooster Teeth do.

(UNSC Infinity)

Leo crossed his arms across his chest as Pyrrha leaned on the railing. Both of them looked down on Vale as he seemed to question what to say or do next.

"I always come up here. Nice to look down and see something other than stars." Leo said as Pyrrha hummed.

"To see what you're fighting for?" Pyrrha questioned which gained a nod. "If you enjoy Vale so much? Why don't you stay here? There's a lot more Vale can offer." Pyrrha said as the Spartan planted his hands on his hips.

"Like giant monsters and crazy puppies?" Leo asked with a smile under his armor as he tilted his head to the side. "I'm a soldier, Pyr. If I don't fight for the UNSC? Then I'm going against what I believe in. I could ask if you want to Leave Remnant and go to someone else at the moment. There are thousands of planets where I come from." Leo said to which Pyrrha held her hands up.

"And if the UNSC decides to stay on Remnant?" Pyrrha questioned which made Leo hum.

"Then maybe. I'm just a soldier. You're a… Celebrity, historical figure? There's a lot of rumors about you from what your friends say." Leo said while he looked around.

"It's a lot more complicated than that," Pyrrha said, scratching the back of her neck as she did so. "There's a lot of things I left in Mistral," Pyrrha said as Leo hummed.

"Mistral?" Leo questioned as he raised his hands in a gesture that showed her that he hadn't an idea what she had told him.

"It's a kingdom far from Vale. Where I was born and trained." Pyrrha said as she watched him nod.

"That explains why you look so different from the rest of the people in Vale. No offense, the armor kinda clashes with what I've seen from Vale so far." Leo said as he shrugged.

"Mistral and Vale are culturally different. I wouldn't expect them all to wear similar clothing to me." Pyrrha said as Leo hummed. "I remember you said I look similar to Spartans back then. You never really explained what that is or how I'm similar to them at all." Pyrrha stated to which Leo nodded.

"The Spartans are what they based us off of during the war," Leo said as he sighed to himself and looked around.

He cleared his throat and seemed to pace himself for a moment before he continued. It wasn't breaking any UNSC laws to explain Earth's History. Least of all history had been interesting to little people when it came down to it.

"They were some of the best warriors in Human history on Earth. As I told you? 300 vs thousands and they ripped into them like tissue paper." Leo said before he glanced at Pyrrha. "All of them. Some of the best warriors that had existed. All of them died, but they died holding off the enemy. It turned the tide of the war in their favor. I'm guessing that's one reason they named them after them. The new Spartans? There are some of the best soldiers alive." Pyrrha heard as she blinked and started to glance around with interest.

She crossed her arms and seemed to look around before she seemed to question what to do next. There was a lot more on her mind than she had been before at the second.

She glanced around before she leaned on the window. It had become a lot more at the second at the city below.

"What to do next?" Pyrrha asked as Leo seemed to shrug as he looked back at the window.

"Fight the Covenant, drive them off. Find something better than simply waiting for what they did next." Leo stated before he glanced out the window. "There's still lots to do in Vale. Find a good place to put a base where the Grimm won't eat it. Why? Scared I'm running off? I'm a soldier, not a coward. I'm not going anywhere, not until there's another mission. I'll handle it when it came down to it." Leo said while he glanced around.

"And when there are fewer soldiers to fight and the Covenant are defeated?" Pyrrha questioned which made Leo shrug.

"Then I'll think about staying. The Covenant needs to be stopped. If not for me? For the trillions of people who they go after." Leo said before crossing his arms.

"These aren't those Covenant, are they?" Pyrrha questioned as Leo shook his head.

"Well, it seems as if their boss didn't exactly take the hint from last time," Leo said before he rubbed his temples. "They killed countless people and it isn't like we haven't tried to solve this peacefully. Pyrrha? Do I look like a politician with all due respect?" Leo asked to which the spartan woman hummed.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Pyrrha asked to which Leo chuckled.

"What do you think with all due respect? There are a lot of things I enjoy about this. A lot I enjoy about this all is kinda from the fact that you're trying so hard to figure me out when it comes down to it." Leo said before he crossed his arms across his chest once more. "Plus? It isn't exactly like we're not soldiers. You're the one who's in Spartan armor talking to a super-soldier who's clad in power armor. I feel like there's a few things we can stand here and talk about if you want to get technical." Leo added to which Pyrrha could only sigh.

"Don't argue how crazy things are, they can always get weirder and odder at the end of the road," Leo said while he seemed to hum and clear his throat. "Plus? It isn't exactly like we haven't tried at the moment. The sooner we admit that? The easier things become. Honestly? This had been the weirdest day in history for us. Not going to change." Leo added with a sigh.

"Never change, Leo," Pyrrha said with a smile as the Spartan-IV nodded to her.

"Don't plan to anytime soon, Ms. Nikos. It isn't in my blood to back down when I'm set on something, even if it means marching into certain death." Leo said before he shook his head. "Speaking of which? You're pretty good for someone who isn't a Spartan when it comes to fighting. Doesn't help that I was trained this way when it comes down to it. You're a special case, aren't you?" Leo questioned and Pyrrha shrugged.

The two friends were silent as they looked out the window. They had become a lot more interested in what to do next. The coming war didn't seem to bother them as much as what was on their minds.

"Was there any other reason your so attached to trying to help me besides the fact you think I'm stupid for running off like this?" Leo asked as he leaned on the wall and seemed to gaze out and into the city of Vale.

There was too much going on for them to simply bother with this topic at the moment. It had become hard at the second as of the second before it came down to it. He was going to be curious as of the second.

Pyrrha looked at the Spartan who was a little taller than her. He cleared his throat before speaking up once more.

"You're a lot more dangerous than you look, aren't you?" Pyrrha heard from Leo as he looked at her, raising her eyebrow as of the second. "I'm surprised that you're worried about me if you can just rip through Covenant soldiers as of the time. it's a lot more surprising how good the Huntsmen are at killing the Covenant in battle." Leo stated before he sighed.

He was going to question what to do next. It'd become interesting to see how the Covenant dealt with an entire army of soldiers who were easily cutting through them like butter. It'd make him laugh if the woman next to him didn't seem at all bothered and if she wasn't mad.

Pyrrha decided to change the subject, she was aware he'd simply be joking otherwise.

"Are you planning to be in the tournament? There's a lot of room for people who wish to enter." Pyrrha said as Leo hummed.

"I don't entirely know if I'm honest. Do they accept supersoldiers?" Leo questioned before he shrugged, his armored body clanking as he did so. "With all honesty? I think we're all going to be busy fighting off the Covenant and Grimm for me to be doing anything." Leo said before he ran a hand over his metallic helmet.

Pyrrha looked at the Spartan who crossed his arms across his chest. There was a glimpse of movement as a Pelican crossed the window and slowly descended towards the planet below. It'd make him sigh if it wasn't so beautiful.

"I always like looking out the window at the planets, usually Infinity is over Earth when I look out," Leo stated before turning to Pyrrha. "How are you holding up? I'm sorry I've been… Focused on the Covenant and not enough on exploring Remnant. I'm not used to someone not trying to kill me every 5 minutes." Leo said while he glanced at the woman.

He was curious as to what the woman was thinking. It'd be interesting at the time. There was a lot she'd probably say if she knew more about the Spartans. He was just as concerned as the other Spartans who were coming, so many soldiers and people who were easily above him in skill and stature.

"I'm fine… That isn't the healthiest way to work, Leo." Pyrrha responded to which Leo nodded. "Why don't we go walk around Vale? I've spent so much time in Mistral I've never gotten to walk around the town and check it out." Pyrrha stated before she questioned the Spartan.

He tilted his head before he sighed to himself. He slowly led her to the hangers before he started to speak once again.

"Then let's go. There's bound to be more work here when I get back and considering how little I've heard from Captain Laskey? Well, that means he's either busy or in a meeting or something is happening." Leo stated before he rubbed at his arms.

Pyrrha smiled as she clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. She was honestly happy at the time and she wanted to explore the city. It was going to be done when it comes down as of the second.

This had been a fun adventure for her and her friends. There was more on her mind than this. It'd become harder as they walked this path, but she'd brave it either way.

"I'm guessing you don't know how to fly one of these ships?" Pyrrha questioned before she tilted her head to the side. "Should I ask one of the pilots," Pyrrha asked before she raised her eyebrow?

Leo shrugged before he looked out and over the Hanger Bay. It was honestly a lot more confusing as to where they'd go next. At least if they got out, he'd be able to worry a lot less about this topic. The war had been interesting to them as of the second, but it came down a lot to their topics at hand.

He hummed to himself and beckoned her to follow in his footsteps.
