It was around the quiet moments that Tsu'tey enjoyed after a successful task and it was relaxing for both his mind and body to have some moments to himself.
But now, he was hating this silence all the more.
He snapped himself out if his thoughts when he heard Emersyn draw her bowstring and let it fly towards the unsuspecting Yerik (Hexapede). She immediately and nervously scrambled to her kill as Tsu'tey trailed behind. He stared at hee blankly as she calmed her nerves for a moment before saying the Hunter Prayer.
"A clean kill"
This was it.
In a few days time she would not be his student anymore and an unpleasant feeling was beginning to swirl around Tsu'tey. He did not like it one bit. "Lì'upe? (What?)" Emersyn's questioning stare brought Tsu'tey out of his stupor as he briskly nodded, his demeanour stony and hard. "Ngenga lu alaksi (You are ready)" He would ignore this feeling. It would come to pass and she would be like any ordinary female in the clan. Young and Newly Initiated.
All ripe for a male for her to choose.

As he lay down on his nivi (sleeping hammock) that night, he heard a rustle and turned to see Zrina looking at him. "Ma tsmukan, pehem len pxiset txo fìkem lu hasey? (My brother, what happens right now if this be finished?)" Tsu'tey turned to see Zrina staring at him with an unreadable expression on her face. He simply answered back with no indifference.
"Salew hasey oeyä-... (Go finish my-...)"
Tsu'tey paused as he frowned while Zrina looked at him expectantly. Tsu'tey shook his head before turning away, the question stuck on his head. Zrina looked at her brother with a thin line gracing her lips. She knew her tsmukan (brother) was feeling something for this uniltìrantokx (dreamwalker) the moment she came in here.
Brother, why lie to yourself?
~oOo~
Tsu'tey held back an annoyed scowl when they wasted enough time while Tomsully frets over his siblings. When they finally finished with some persuasion from Ni'nat, Tsu'tey made sure to be on the lead. The weather today was good and it made Tsu'tey more time to think of what was going to happen after this final task. Surely, to finally mate with Neytiri and to be the next Olo'eyktan, one that will bring prosperity to his people.
Yet, he does not see that future within him. Rather, he see himself as he is right now, the top warrior among his clan full of adventure and excitement. To be free of the duties laid upon him when he was a child.
A small yip from his pa'li (direhorse) made him snap out of his stupor long enough for him to make the pa'li (direhorse) turn to avoid falling through the cliff they were about to head into.
He halted just in front of the floating rocks just as the young hunters who were going to be initiated to slid down from the backs of their pa'li (direhorse). As Tsu'tey began instructing the hunters on what to be expected when they reached their destination, he took note how Jakesully and Emersynsully admired the area around them.
~oOo~
He admired how Jakesully was keeping up as well as his student though it annoyed him greatly at how close Jakesully was at him when they started climbing. Along the way, he spotted Neytiri who gave a loud call of greeting which he responded back with equal enthusiasm. From the corner of his eye, he saw Emersynsully give out an unreadable expression before shaking her head.
As soon as Tsu'tey reached their destination, Tsu'tey noticed Emersynsully looking around at the roosting nest of the ikrans (banshees) like a Na'vi child in their first step to the outside world of the tribe. For once, Tsu'tey took his time to admire the scene before him. A call from Neytiri as she landed Seze in front of them.
"Oel Ngatie Kameie (I See You)"
Neytiri greeted Tsu'tey as he saluted to her with a smile but then frowned when she gave Jakesully one of her rare smiles which he reciprocated. Emersynsully also noticed how the two interacted and an unfamiliar emotion passed through her.
"Jakesully will go first"
Tsu'tey grinned in a feral way at Jakesully before he saw disbelief flash in Neytiri's eyes and Emersynsully's mouth falling open once again.
If that woman wants flies in her mouth to come in then so be it.
Jakesully gave Tsu'tey a pointed look as he handed his bow to Emersynsully before walking to the direction of where the ikrans (Banshees) were roosting. Neytiri shot him a look before following.
"Now you must chose your ikran (banshee). If he also chooses you, you move quick like I showed you. You only have one chance Jake" Neytiri explained as Tsu'tey slowly followed behind Emersynsully "How will I know if he chooses me" Tsu'tey felt a little bit of pity for Jake. His chance of passing this task might be minimum.
"He will try to kill you"
"Outstanding..."
Jake muttered with no hint of fear in his tone, only determination for him to pass this test which Tsu'tey admired more than he could manage.
"Good luck and don't die"
Emersynsully said to her tsmukan as she gave his shoulder a squeeze. Jake gave her a grin before walking out. As soon as they all stepped out behind the waterfall, the ikrans (banshees) reacted. Some hissed and snarled as they drew close while others went flying off. Tsu'tey hissed and snarled at any ikran (banshee) that were getting a little bit too close to Emersynsully upon which she herself was oblivious to it or she totally ignored it.
Once Jakesully found his ikran (banshee), Tsu'tey watched intently at his moves while the others cheered him on. His agility had improved unlike before when he first saw him balancing like one of the nights a Na'vi gets to set his spirit free from a drink. "The moron's gonna die" Tsu'tey chuckled though it was meant to be an insult that would help Jakesully realise it would fuel his determination to win, Emersynsully took it the wrong way.
Sky People and their quick assumptions.
However, Jakesully hesitated and wasn't quick enough which resulted to him being almost thrown into the abyss.
"JAKE!"
"Shit!"
Neytiri and Emersynsully screamed as Jakesully desperately clung unto the branch that stopped him from falling to his doom. Tsu'tey laughed at the sight. It reminded him on his test to have his ikran (banshee) and it had a similar scene wherein he almost fell to his death if he hadn't punched his ikran (banshee) in the face to stun it enough for him to make the bond.
"LOOK OUT!"
Emersynsully screamed and Tsu'tey tensed up when she charged forward to Neytiri only to push the Na'vi away as an ikran (banshee) swooped down from it's perch above to tackle the unprepared Emerysnsully. Tsu'tey had to hold himself back as he watched his student trying desperately to get rid of the ikran (banshee) trying to pin her down.
He had no trouble at watching some Na'vi, be it female or male, lose and die at their failure of gaining an ikran yet the sudden feeling of coldness swept over his body as if Eywa had suddenly given him a warning. It wasn't before Emersynsully slipped and fell to the abyss with her ikran (banshee) did he felt his stomach drop and the sudden urge to call his own ikran (banshee) and rescue her became stronger.
"EMMY!"
Jakesully called as he let his ikran (banshee) dive down to follow after his sister, intentional or not, as Neytiri gave a small noise at the back of her throat as the both Na'vi watch each of their student disappear beneath the black fog.
