The days here are mostly quiet, thankfully. Living high up and hidden in the mountains keeps us off the demons radar. With Nanny pregnant Jenny and I go on a weekly run for supplies, food and medicine if we find it.
We find a lot of weapons and ammo.
"Well, we definitely won't be running low on munitions." Jenny said, she and I in our new ammo locaker.
"Oh yeah." I said honestly. "A whole lot of weapons and ammo that we might not entirely use…"
"Well, you won't use." Jenny said. "So, how are we on foods and meds?"
"Stable, some fucking how." I growled. "It's as if the planet itself want's to spite me and prove Nanny right…"
"If that's the case then…" Jenny shook her head. "Nevermind. In any case we need to get to that settlement startup kit. Those animal cloning machines can get us steady supplies of fresh meat. While demon meat is edible, it's not very tasty. Tough as hell too… Heh."
"I see what you did there." I chuckled. "And yeah…hopefully we can find it soon."
"In the meantime I've been using the Assistant to map out as far as we can get in a days travel, but pretty soon we'll have to start planning trips that take a few days to go out and back."
"How far can we get in a day?" I inquired.
"If I keep gas stored in my Assistant, go fast as I'm able without risking crashing into something, about a thousand miles? Maybe more if I can get the parts to upgrade the bike from gas to something more like the house ship?"
"A pretty respectable distance for a days trip." I said honestly.
"Yup. But we need to spread out further. We'll need to claim some territory and make a stand otherwise we end up constantly with demons at the front door."
"Yeah…" I sighed, every morning having to immediately leap out and slaughter a hoard of demon's just to at least try and prepare for the journey of the day was getting really tiring.
"At least Casey has gotten good with that mounted gun." Jenny shrugged. "Helps when there are tanky ones out there."
"It's….it's still wrong for him to be using a gun…hell, it's still wrong that he's even fighting!" I said, seeing my hubby, the adorable dork of a photographer that didn't have a single violent bone in his body…fighting…it just hurt.
"We all have to fight. If we don't, we'll lose all we have, and right now we're lucky we didn't lose anything or anyone while we've been here." Jenny stated. "Besides, we should consider something I've noticed…"
"What have you noticed?" I inquired.
"Pods. Prize Pods."
"Yeah…there's been…a shocking amount now that I think about it." I said worriedly.
"We've been collecting them and keeping them in storage within our Assistants, but we find more here than we've found going through Dungeons back home. Nanny mentioned that Prize Pod People spawn more often on Armageddon than on any other people."
"I don't know how or why…" I frowned. "This is the last place we should be expecting Prize Pods…especially Lover class…"
"Given what Nanny said and what's been happening… I think the reason is obvious."
"The planet…want's people…" I sighed.
"So, the question is, do we open them? I mean… as a Prize Pod Person myself I want to… but…"
"We don't have the room or the resources to open all the Prize Pods…" I shook my head. "And while we did find Ally class…it's a gamble on who they are and what they're capable of…" I brought up.
"Hence why we need the space. This is a Doom based Zone damn it, where the fuck are the high tech shit…" Jenny sighed. "And Carver hasn't responded in a while."
"Carver said he was coming here so we just have to wait on that." I said honestly. "And yes…I would like to know where the high tech shit is as well."
"Well, in the meantime I guess we should just keep going as we have been."
"Yep." I nodded. "We're on a good pace, so let's keep going."
"The only problem is Ella is gonna give birth soon, a half Shadow Creature, half human being isn't unheard of but they're very rare. Then Nanny…"
"Yeah…" I sighed, growing more frustrated by all these things we have to worry about on top of all this bullshit.
"So, I'll head out on a run. You take a break and check up on your kids."
"Alright…" I nodded. "Stay safe alright?"
"I'll be alright." Jenny said as she grabbed a few boxes of ammo. "I was built for this kind of life."
"Alright." I nodded. "I'll see you later." I said as I headed off.
I stopped off into the nursery, where I saw my kids, Hex, Donna, Rose, Amy, Micky and Jack were all asleep in their cribs. Hex is getting so big. Gonna need his own room soon.
I smiled softly, still feeling my heart swell with motherly pride at seeing all the babies here, safe and sound and sleeping peacefully.
I took a seat in one of the many chairs here and just kept watch over them. It was quiet in here, just the sound of the kids light breaths and Hex's small snores
I relaxed here, finally feeling all my stress and tension knots in my body.
"Oh no~..." I thought to myself in a lot of pain from all the stress…oh boy this hurts.
I did some self massaging over the really bad ones and once it was more manageable I relaxed back into the chair and looked over all the kids.
Wonder how Dexter is doing?
Quietly I got up and headed off, finding Dexter's room and seeing he was inside reading over his school books.
"Hey Dexter." I said softly.
"Hi mom." He said. "Need something?"
"Just checking up on you to see if your doing alright." I said softly. "But…mind if I ask how you feel about…being here?"
"I feel… Nervous, but also kinda… I don't know. Tugged?"
"Tugged?" I inquired. "What do you mean by that?"
"Like… when you feel like you need to go somewhere but you don't know why?"
"Oh I know that feeling." I nodded in agreement. "Do you know where to go? Or can you think of what could be the destination?"
Dexter shook his head. "No. I just know the direction."
That was…rather confusing that he knew the direction. "What direction is it?" I inquired.
Without hesitation, Dexter pointed in the direction. My assistant map told me that it was south.
"So, south from here." I said honestly. "Do you know how far south?"
Again,.Dexter shook his head.
I sighed. "I'll have to ask Nanny or someone else what's South of here…" I muttered, gently patting his head. "But alright Dexter, we'll figure out what's South of us…is there anyone you want to meet?"
"I… don't know…" He said, sounding unsure.
"Alright." I said softly. "I see you're still keeping up with your school work."
"I've already done everything in here, but when Hex and the others all get older, I'll have to help teach them things, since there is no school or anything here."
"True, and thank you for wanting to help out your siblings Dexter." I said warmly.
"Well, Hex should be speaking soon. I want to make sure he can read and write when he's ready."
"Yep." I nodded. "And I can't wait to hear his first words."
I gave Dex a quick hug before leaving him to his reading. Thankfully I found Nanny in the kitchen, making dinner and canning things to last longer. Granted the kitchen fridge is one of those special near infinite storage things that nothing can rot in, but better to have those for long term travel in case.
"Hello Heather." She said.
"Hey Nanny." I nodded. "How are you doing?"
"As good as I can." She said, feeling her growing belly before going back to her cooking. "Sorry I'm not able to help as much as I'd like. Until I give birth I won't be able to help with making this place a proper settlement."
"It's alright Nanny, me and Jenny have got thing's handled at the moment." I said with a raised hand. "So, I have a question…is there any settlements south from here?"
"Not that I'm aware of. I believe south of here is supposedly The Graveyard."
"The Graveyard?" I inquired.
"Well, according to stories, long time ago something traveled through the zones slaughtering any and all, monsters, settlements, chaos guilds. If it crossed it's path it was obliterated. The Graveyard is one such location. Stories say it used to be a hub of Slayers, but that thing passed through and leveled the whole place, and somehow Perma killed the Slayers." Nanny said. "It vanished some time back in era one, a few million years after it appeared and just walked in an uninterrupted straight line until it just vanished as suddenly as it appeared."
"Well…that's…horrifying." I said worriedly
"Yes. It's become a bit of a ghost story on the planet, the wandering monster that kills everything, regardless of affiliation, that crosses its path."
"So…glad that…whatever happened it stopped." I said honestly.
"Are you planning on heading south at some point?"
"Yeah, cause Dexter said that he's felt a tugging sensation, like he needs to head south for whatever reason."
"Strange." Nanny said, pausing. "You should look into it."
"That would be good, so far Dexter doesn't know why he wants to head south, other than he just feels like he has to head there."
"Maybe it has something to do with his Origin." At my raised brow, Nanny explained. "As you know, Prize Pod People have no past. They might have memories and know things about the world's and such but not know why they know that. Well, sometimes in rare situations a Prize Pod Person can find themselves in an area or around people that seem to trigger, well, in short, memories that do not exist. "
"Huh, that's rather interesting." I said honestly. "So…just gotta find out what was in Dexter's past I suppose…though I'm scared as to why he'd have a trigger here of all places."
"It's a rare thing to happen. So it's not fully understood." Nanny said with a shrug.
"Still surprised how little people actually know about this universe outside the Family."
"Not everyone wants to understand the why of it all, most just accept it for how it is." Nanny said with a shrug.
"True…but then people get into situations like this and just have to go 'damn it, why did I ignore this for so long?'." I shook my head.
"Heh. I suppose that's true as well. So, is Jenny off on a supply run?"
"Yeah, she wanted me to stay back and watch over the kids…and then stress and the tension knot's just uh…showed me how much pain I was in."
"Relaxation is key. Physical and mental health are important, especially in a place like this." Nanny said. "Maybe you should spend some time with Casey. I believe they are watching the tunnel entrance right now."
"Alright." I nodded. "Just…ugh, this bites hardcore…"
I went to the tunnel and found Casey standing by the entrance looking out into the small bit of woods before us that lead to the road.
They were next to a large mounted turret, dressed in some combat armor we found a while ago, sans helmet.
"Hey Casey."
They turned over to me, smiling. They might be a hermaphrodite now with rockin knockers, hips for days and fluffy, curly head hair but they were still my Casey, father of my children and love of my life. "Hey Heather." They greeted me.
My heart clenched as I moved over and hugged my Casey. "Everything's going so wrong…but…I'm so glad that I still have you…"
"Me too." Casey said, hugging me back. "Still feels like I'm expecting to wake up and this was all a weird nightmare."
"Same…" I sighed. "I…really wish it is a weird nightmare…"
"Well, at least we have our family."
"Yeah…we have our family." I said honestly. "So, see anything down here as of late?
"Saw a few birds. A squirrel. Other than that, been quiet." They said thankfully as they looked back out to the trees. "Little boring."
"Well, glad it's been boring. A lot better than what I've had to fight with Jenny." I shrugged.
"I can imagine." Casey nodded. "So, do you think we can do it?"
"I'm sure we can do it." I nodded. "Gotta have some faith in this place…"
"Hopefully. I just hope we can gain some sense of normalcy at some point."
"Yeah, once Nanny give's birth and settles down she'll help us…I want to open up some of our Ally class Pod People but…we don't really have much room at the moment."
"True. If we do manage to make a home here, and a town, what do you think we should name it?"
"I…don't know." I said. "Haven maybe? Would certainly fit considering what we're trying to do in this hell hole."
"Heh. Feels a bit on the nose, but I guess it works." Casey said with a chuckle.
"Do you have an idea?" I asked, pouting a little bit at the criticism to my bad naming.
"Heh. Nope."
"That's what I thought." I giggled.
"You think the kids will be okay, growing up here?"
"Hell if I know." I shook my head. "They won't be going to school…they won't be making friend's their own age besides their family…they won't know anything but the sheltered town we're making as it's too dangerous outside…" I sighed.
"Hm… Think we can still have more?"
"Kids or Spouses? Cause considering how many Prize Pod's me and Jenny have found…we might do both." I said nervously.
"Ah. Fair…" Casey nodded. "So, what do you think Jenny went out to do?"
"Probably kill shit, search for anything useful for us, just simple adventure stuff."
"I guess…"
"What up?" I inquired, knowing that when he trails off like that he's got something important on his mind.
"I guess I wish I could be doing more."
"Same." I sighed. "And I'm the more 'look around and fight things' kinda shark…but we're just trying our best…"
"Do you think we could do more if we were fused? Or if you kept me Absorbed?"
"We'd be one person, so technically we'd be doing less." I brought up, cause two people doing thing's is always better than one. "But…I don't know…"
"I thought as much." They sighed.
"I know Casey…" I sighed. "I wish things could work out better…but only time will tell."
[Hr]
The following months were, well, fairly plain. Jenny and I would clear out nearby demons that appeared too close to our home, then we'd eat and head out to keep gathering supplies.
The day finally came where Nanny gave birth. Her being a Den Mother ment it was quick and easy for her. She had twelve little pups. Seven were half Dire Wolf, half racoon/fox, the other five… were half Blacktip shark.
… I was a father now too.
We thankfully had found more cribs and set them all up in the nursery, which was now getting crowded, so we moved Hex into Dexter's room to save space and get him used to eventually getting his own bedroom.
After a few weeks for Nanny to tend to the newborns, Diane was put on nursing duty in the nursery while Nanny is away.
I walked outside with Nanny next to me. Once we were out of the tunnel she took a deep breath. "Still smells like blood. Even this far from the major areas."
"Yeah…it's not fun." I shook my head. "Ready for our adventure?"
"Not an adventure." Nanny said, pulling out a staff from her Assistant. "It's a mission."
I nodded, pulling out Ol' Reliable as it radiated power from the upgrades I gave it during the many outings me and Jenny have had. "What's our objective today?"
"Set up a physical line of our territory." She said.
I nodded. "And how are we going to do that?" I inquired, considering I've never done something like this before.
"Relax. Leave this to me." Nanny said, raising her staff and closing her eyes.
It suddenly felt like an earthquake. Falling into my ass I looked up to see Nanny opened her eyes, they glowed with pure magic as I looked out and saw… huge chunks of the earth rise up, reaching a mile high from the base area of the mountain all around.
It all stopped and then a crystalline began rising up from the stone wall and formed a dome high up over the mountain peak.
Her eyes returned to normal. "There we go, a physical wall, and a magic barrier."
"What the fuck…" I said slowly and in awe.
"What? Not enough space?"
I snorted at that. "Not enough space? Lady you just put your staff on the ground and created a mountain range protecting our safe area in literally no time at all…"
"Well, I'd have made it taller and such but I'm a little out of practice. So, now to just," She waved the wand in her arm, the staff glowing as suddenly the trees parted to a path in the road, the sounds of rapidly moving vines and trees moving and demons screeching followed by sickening cracks and grotesque tearing and spilling of mush and liquid. "Terraform lightly and take out the demons in here."
"Well…" I said carefully.
"And this barrier will keep demons from spawning within so, the surrounding mountain and ten miles from the base around us are all clear."
I stared at Nanny… I know she used to be apparently very strong when she was in the Mothers Daughters but… what?!
"You…just terraformed…ten miles around us…and put a magical barrier that make this a legit safe zone…how!?" I asked incredulously.
"The barrier spell is a high level defense spell that deactivates spawning of monsters in a certain area depending on the casters mana. I just need to recast it every so often based on the amount of mana I put into the spell. So, we're good for a month before I need to recast."
"A month she says, after building a defensive barrier that stops any and all monster spawns and kills anything that somehow magic's it's way into our boundaries."
"Sorry I couldn't do this sooner, but casting magic of this caliber while pregnant isn't exactly safe. It does take half my mana and forty percent of my stamina and sixty percent of my total HP. Being pregnant while that happens would have hurt the babies."
"I understand, and I'm glad you didn't do this before you gave birth…but I had absolutely no idea the true depth of how strong you were Nanny…"
"I don't like to flaunt it. But I will use it while we are here when it is needed."
"Thank you." I nodded. "Plus, depending on how you made this forest, there's a lot of plants we can harvest for food and resources."
"That spell would have only enhances or grown more of what was already here, so maybe? Mushrooms and some herbs most likely but nothing very useful I'd imagine."
"Well, better than nothing." I shrugged.
With that Nanny and I properly went around our new… home.
She was right about not much being here. Mushrooms, only a few were edible and a few herbs. Mint mostly.
With that I figured it was time to try and contact Carver again. I need the locator that Settlement Startup cache.
With that I picked up the radio and hoped he'd pick up.
"Come on you…I know you're not that busy…" I muttered, hoping he'll pick up.
I waited with Nanny next to me for about twenty minutes until Carver picked up.
"You've reached Carver."
"Hey Carver, it's Heather." I said. "So…some big things happened since our last talk."
"Bad things?"
"Good things thankfully." I said. "Like Nanny creating a Ten Mile safe zone around my house."
"Good for you. You're already more ahead than most people. So I guess this means you want the location of the Caches for settlements then right?"
"That would help, yes." I nodded. "Also, just want to ask some questions, like why there are so many Prize Pod's here."
"That's just how Armageddon has always been. Part of how the Chaos Guilds keep stock in their slave and Breeder markets. If you find any just take them with you. Better than letting someone erase them and put someone else in their place."
"I…really don't want to know what those are and just keep up the 'keep them out of Chaos Guild hands'." I said readily. "Another thing I wanted to know, how is the trek here going?"
"Got sidetracked by some titian demons, but I'm back on the road."
"Alright." I nodded. "How dangerous is The Graveyard? Cause…one of my kid's feels like he should head there."
"It's not dangerous. Not anymore. Back in the day that was this zone's base for multiple Slayers. Unfortunately, whatever slaughtered them all killed every slayer there. All that's there now is, as the name suggests. Whatever was left of the Brothers and Sisters stationed there was laid to rest."
"Alright…thank you." I nodded. "Just wanted to make sure."
"Right. Oh, and here." The radio opened a small panel, revealing a data drive. "That's got all the locations and access codes to all my caches in this zone. Weapons, ammo and med stuff is in Gold, Settlement stuff is Green, and Trial Bunkers are Purple."
"Awesome, thank you Carver." I said with a smile.
I took the data drive and put it into my Assistant. Immediately my mini map gained new marked locations… okay, green, green, green… ah, there you are, seven miles north west of here. Naturally guarded by a… twenty Marauder demons?!
"Fucking damn, twenty Marauders!?" I asked in shock.
"Those are quite strong." Nanny said with a nod.
"Ech, one I can take in a fight, two possibly, three is pushing it, but twenty is definitely a no go."
"Shall I handle them?"
"If you want, gotta get some of the rust off as it were." I said honestly.
With a nod Nanny and I went to the location. The Marauders were all around the entrance.
They raised their weapons. Nanny snapped her fingers, and suddenly lightning from the sky came down on each of them and did so for five continuous minutes before it ended and they all fell dead…
Casey and I got this OP woman pregnant…
Holy crap!
"Mommy…" I said weakly, shocked into awe by this overpowered MILF but also kinda scared at the Overpowered woman.
"That is what my children call me." Nanny replied with a smirk.
"I'm pretty sure many other people have called you 'mommy' that aren't your children." I said, lightly blushing at that admittance cause I was now one of them.
I quickly picked up whatever loot wasn't utterly melted or burned to a crisp and upon finding the door to the cache, it opened as my assistant beeped.
[Authorization Accepted.
Installing Vega 5.
Install complete.]
"Hello. I am Vega 5, personal AI helper to all Slayers and trusted Slayer allies. If you have received me it means a Slayer has given you the access codes to one of their caches, and therefore can be trusted. As such, I will assist you in any way I am able." The Vega 5 AI informed me.
"Thank you Vega 5." I nodded. "Carver is the specific Slayer that we are allies with, so mind if I ask what's in this specific cache?"
"This bunker cache houses five terraform engines, two hundred DNA samples of several hundred species of livestock, four hundred samples of readily plantable produce crops, various farming equipment, a construction machine for creating machines and buildings, various raw materials, and an incubator to grow the genetic samples to fully developed animals. There is also a fair stockpile of medicines and chemistry equipment for developing more as needed."
"Okay, that will help insanely." I said.
"I'm amazed it has Terraform Engines." Nanny said. "That is very old, barely used tech."
"While not as wildly used as before the War for Creation, the Terraform Engines can still easily keep a landmass fertile for farming without risk to the soil or environment, and is still used in asteroid colonization."
"Well, it'll hopefully help keep our place safe for more than the lone month." I said honestly, not really knowing much about the Terraform Engine cause, again, it's some pretty damn old tech.
Everything was neatly packed into a storage capsule and with that, we headed back home. Upon arriving I saw Casey and Dexter outside, a makeshift swing on one of the trees.
"Hey." They called.
"How are you two doing?" I asked, finding this scene adorable with my hubby and son just hanging out with a swing.
"Feels nice to be outside and not worrying about demons." Casey said. "Dad helped me make this swing for Dexter."
"That's good." I nodded with a growing smile. "And it's a good thing, cause you two are adorable together…just playing with a swing like parent and child…" I said, feeling pained that this adorable scene just has to be placed on the worst planet in Creation.
"Yeah. Our parents felt relieved to not have to be inside this whole time and all went out on a nature walk to get a look at what this little safe haven has."
Yeah… my parents were definitely getting cabin fever and Casey's were probably going a bit stir crazy too. Especially given there's no TV reception… or internet. Thank the Mother dad kept a huge movie collection less we'd all have gone insane long ago.
"Yeah…never before have I missed having the Internet this badly." I sighed.
"Yeah… that's definitely gonna suck but, eh." Casey shrugged. "So, how'd the hunt go?"
"We got into the cache and got the supplies without issue." Nanny said.
"Awesome. So, that means things are actually looking up for us?"
"For the most part yeah." I nodded. "We got Terraforming Engines, a whole lot of animal and plant gene's that we can grow in a vat, and otherwise, we're pretty much set for a while." I said honestly. "Gonna need to open up some of the Prize Pods to give us an extra hand now that we have some room and time."
"I guess that means we should get started."
[Hr]
I awoke with a yawn. Getting up early sucked but it was needed. Farm life is demanding, but Haven and its people lived off our large scale farms.
I chugged some coffee, so happy that one of the items in that cache were coffee bean plants, then went outside. Already lots of other people, all from Prize Pods, were checking on the plants and feeding the animals.
I smiled, heading on over to fields and the centaur pulling a plow across the soil. Debra, she had an all white horse lower half, and her human half was slightly tan with yellow eyes and long brown hair. She was an Ally Class, specializing in defense but her strengths were used here.
"Morning Debra." I called out to the centaur.
"Morning Heather!" She waved. "Wheat is gonna be ready soon and once I'm done here we'll be planting cabbages."
"Cool." I nodded. "How are the others doing?" I asked, wondering about the other prize pods and their work on the farm.
"Fine. Most wish to be in battle but, even they know better than to try against demons." She chuckled. "But they spar regularly. Keeps moral up."
"Yeah, I'd like to take some of you out and try to do some minor field battles to gather something, but the farm and making sure this place is run properly needs to be taken care of first and foremost."
With that she went back to pulling the plow and I walked around. It amazed me how much changed in nine months. There were houses, most dug into the mountain side to save space with ladders and stairs set up to get in and out.
The Terraform Engines were set in behind our parked ship in the tunnel, running perfectly, keeping soil fertile, water clean, and even helped the plants to grow faster.
I especially like that it made a portion of our land into a lake, filled with fish. Dexter was happy to have a fishing spot again and I was happy to be able to swim and fish with him again.
We did set up one gate area, a tunnel in the rock walls leading out that Jenny and several other stronger Ally Class all guarded.
I headed down there and saw Jenny looking down the tunnel through the scope of her rifle.
"Hey Jenny." I said to our resident sniper.
"Hey." She replied, keeping her eye down the scope.
"See anything interesting?" I inquired.
"I… think? Thought it was a demon or something at first but as it got closer I realized that's a person."
"What do they look like?" I asked, knowing that Carver should be getting here but Chaos Guilds exist.
"Uh, female, human, like maybe eight feet tall, has a really worn looking sword, and looks in rough shape… she's also very filthy… and completely naked for some reason…"
"Uh…that's…not good at all." I said, bringing out Ol'Reliable. "Keep me covered while I see who our new visitor is."
She nodded as I rushed down the tunnel and outside the wall. As I got closer… Jenny Was right. And it was even worse up close.
Whoever she is, she is human, covered in infected cuts, grime and filth. Her body was mostly bones and skin. Her hair in knots and a mess. She looked like she hasn't eaten or drank in… ever.
As I approached she still walked, dragging an old worn out sword behind her in her boney fingers grasp.
She also smelled like… like she hasn't bathed in ever.
"Hello?" I asked the woman carefully.
She didn't respond. I stood in front of her but she just tried to walk around me, only to trip on a small rock. I heard a sickening crack as she fell.
Shit!
Her ankle looked broken and her arm too!
"Alright you." I said, carefully picking up the woman and moving carefully as to not jostle her in my grasp and hurt her more.
I quickly brought her inside where we took her to our Medbay, completely controlled by Vega 5.
She was placed on a table and Vega 5 began examining her.
"Vital signs are extremely low. Multiple infections. Extreme Dehydration. Extreme malnutrition. Skeletal deterioration. Skeletal failing. Administering medical care."
"How the hell did she get this bad?" Jenny asked.
"I don't know, but hopefully we can get her back to full health before it's too late." I said honestly. "Just on scent alone, it smells like she hasn't bathed for way too long…"
"No kidding." Jenny said, covering her nose. "Think she escaped some Chaos Guild place or- woah!"
At that moment the mystery woman's broken limbs snapped back into place suddenly. Woah that is… creepy.
"So…regeneration is at play here…" I said carefully. "But that's…also really creepy."
"Scans indicate despite her appearance, the subject is actually of the demi god race. Specifically, a Demi God of Fertility. Despite her physical illnesses and injury, her body will not expire from them, but due to the lacking of self care her regeneration is stagnated." Vega 5 informed.
"Alright, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't hurry with medical treatment."
"Administering medical cocktail of antibiotics and nutrient fluids."
A needle came up from the table attached to a semi robotic hose and was placed into the arm of the woman.
The fluids began flowing in and it seemed to be working. Her regeneration and the fluids were already shrinking all those infections, the puss and scabs falling off and out of the wounds leaving only scars. She was already looking better.
"Damn. And that's just being a demi God." Jenny said, genuinely impressed as she crossed her arms. "Healing factor like that most people spend years to get."
"Yeah, even with how much I've worked I don't have this kind of regeneration." I said honestly.
"Kinda jealous. But explains how she isn't dead. Maybe in a bit we can ask what happened."
And wait we did, within an hour the woman's body looked… completely different. Before was skin and bones and puss and scabs from infection… now laid on the table was a woman of ample, full body proportions to rival Nanny and Diane. Still covered in filth and grime but Vega was bathing her right now. It took a lot of washing to get the water to stop turning black.
I won't lie… she looks so damn hot!
"So what happened to you lady?" Jenny asked as Vega was drying the woman off now.
"...Mmm…" She fumbled, clearly trying to speak but probably hasn't in a long time. "Mm.. mas… Master." She said, standing up and walking to the door. "Must… find… Master."
What the?
"Master?" I frowned, looking into the woman's eyes and wondering what the hell is wrong with her.
Her eyes seemed… empty. As if completely on auto pilot as she walked past me and out the door.
"Master?" Jenny mirrored as we followed her out. "Wait… you don't think…?" She looked over at me.
"Vega…can you contact Nanny for me if she isn't busy…" I said carefully, really, really hoping I was wrong.
"Contacting now."
"Must find Master." She said walking outside and down the walkway.
Jenny and I followed her.
"Who's your Master?" I asked carefully.
"Master is Master." She replied.
"What do they look like?" Jenny asked.
"Handsome." The woman replied.
Well, that's not helpful at all.
"What race is he?" I asked, sadly having more evidence to the growing problem.
"Master is Human."
Okay, something to work with.
"Do you know his name?" I inquired.
"Master's name? Master…" She seemed to pause in thought but kept walking. "Master's name… My Masters Name is… D… D…De…?"
Did she… forget? How long has she been alone?
"How long have you been looking for this…De person?" I asked, not sure if De was their name or just part of it.
"Long." She replied.
"How long?" Jenny asked.
"Long long."
"Well…that's not entirely helpful." I said. "So…what was the last thing you remember before…having to find your master?"
"Master… Master left to… to find someone. Find… don't know. Left me with other girl."
"Who's this 'other girl'?" I inquired.
"Other girl. Smaller. Master's… Master's child." She said, suddenly taking a detour and walking down a stairway down towards the mountain base.
"Do you know her name?" I inquired.
"Master's child… her name… L… lil… Lily." She said, giving herself a nod and kept walking down the stairs.
"Okay, well do you have a name?" Jenny asked.
"Master name me Brenda."
Well she had that name readily available.
"It's nice to meet you Brenda." I nodded
She didn't reply, instead kept walking down the stairs. Upon reaching the bottom she turned again and walked towards the lake.
"So… where are you going?" Jenny asked.
"To my Master." Brenda replied.
"Is he… can you sense them?"
She nodded. "Master is close. Closer than has been in long time."
"And how long ago did you last… sense them?"
"Since left to find other person." She replied.
"And how long ago did you sense them again?"
"Some time ago."
"And…would that time be…nine months ago?" I asked worriedly, fearing that this 'some time ago' would involve when we got here.
"Don't know. Just felt Master appear and followed."
"Appear? So they vanish, you go looking for them for Mother knows how long and now you sense them again and just follow it?" Jenny asked.
"Yes." Brenda said with a nod.
We finally arrived at the lake and she stopped.
Jenny and I looked out, seeing some people fishing, others walking. I saw Dexter fishing on his little pier-
"Master!" Branda yelled, her eyes suddenly burst to life and crying as she ran… towards Dexter!
"Ah!" Dexter yelped as he tried to evade Brenda. "Moms help!"
"Brenda please, wait a moment!" I said, grabbing onto Brenda and trying to hold her back from hug tackling Dexter.
It took a bit but eventually Jenny and I pinned Brenda down.
"Why is there a tall naked lady trying to hug me?" Dexter asked.
"Uh…I don't know, and I'm very, very concerned." I said. "Brenda? What the heck are you thinking?"
"I'm trying to hug then please my Master!" She replied, trying to shake free.
"Uh… huh…" Jenny said. "Hey Dex… mind getting a good look at her and… does she look familiar?"
Dexter looked down at Brenda. He squinted, seeming to think. "I… I don't know… but she makes me feel… stressed? Upset… and frustrated?"
"Frustrated?"
"Yeah. Like I wanna bang my head against the wall."
"Well…I can see the last part." I said in agreement. "But Brenda, he's eleven, he's way too young to do what you want." I frowned.
"But," She wiggled. "Master!" She kept trying to get free.
"Hey Dex, why don't you head inside. Let's Heather and I deal with this okay?" With a nod Dexter ran off.
"Master!" Brenda called out, starting to cry again. "Don't leave me again!"
"Brenda!" I snapped, looking her in the eye. "Look at me," I said, staring into the eyes of this slowly breaking lady. "Do you trust Dexter?"
"I trust my Master, yes." She said.
"Then please, calm down." I told her. "As Dexter's mother, I know he would never abandon someone, I don't know how you know him or why, especially when he was a Prize Pod Person, but he's not going to abandon you, he's a child, do you want to hurt him?"
"No, Master can hurt me but I'd never hurt Master."
"Well… that works… I think?" Jenny said, showing the same confused face as me as that response.
"Uh…okay?" I said worriedly. "So…why did you immediately try to 'please' him?" I asked, feeling bile rise in my throat as I thought about how she was about to effectively rape my son.
"I'm Masters Property. I exist to please and satisfy all his lustful desires and birth his children forever."
"Wow… I knew Breeder programing was horrible but… wow…" Jenny said.
"This…" I muttered in absolute horror. "No…no this is awful…"
"Can I go be with Master now?"
"No!" Jenny and I yelled.
"Okay this is worse and honestly weirder than I was expecting." Jenny said.
"Yes and yes…" I agreed. "There is no way in hell that Dexter, in some magical attempt of a past life, didn't try and teach you that there's more to 'being with master' than just the physical."
"Master said that but I'm his property. I exist for him and him alone. Master never even got to bed me. I had to spoon and cuddle him in his sleep to get his hands to touch me." Brenda said.
"Okay, I'm getting some bad mental images from this since we only know our child Dexter… " Jenny said.
"Okay seriously, where the hell is Nanny?" I asked worriedly. "Cause this is getting weirder and weirder and especially more concerning." I said. "Also, bullshit he didn't try to teach you something that didn't involve…whatever the hell is wrong with you."
"Sorry for the… delay?" Nanny said, arriving and seeing Jenny and I still keeping the very naked and very admittedly busty Brenda down. "Uh… what did I miss?"
"This bimbo slut here is apparently a Breeder owned by a variation of Dexter Morgan and for some reason she thinks Dex is her Master who has been missing since I don't even know how long." Jenny summarized.
"That is… definitely strange." Nanny said, kneeling down over Brenda and placing a finger to her temple. Brenda quickly passed out, letting Jenny and I get off her.
"Yes, it's very strange." I said. "Dexter is a Prize Pod Person, we got him on pure accident during the SCP attack on Candlelight, but Brenda here is saying Dex is her master…which is impossible." I said. "The only reason why I believe something's up is because…she acted like a hollow husk of a person, we actually found her pretty much on death's door if not for her Demi-God race abilities, but…the moment she saw Dex, her eyes lit up like a christmas tree and those tears…those tears were real…"
"Hmm…" Nanny hummed in thought for a moment. "There is a theory. Several actually. Firstly, that our Dexter and Hers are extremely similar, nearly perfect Reflections of one another, and that triggered her programming to find him. Or, it means one of the theories about Prize Pod People has merit."
"And what's the theory?" I inquired.
"Well, back in the early days of this reality, and the Prize Pod People were becoming a hot topic of controversy, supposedly during an interview with the heads of the Mothers Sons, Daughters, and Time Walkers, the head of the Time Walkers just replied to the question with, 'there are no more timelines'."
"Okay, Time Walker vague bullshit, nothing new." Jenny said.
"Not entirely. See, The old reality worked under the principle that for every choice available in a moment, from getting up at a certain point in the morning to taking or refusing a job lead to a whole new branched timeline, and those timelines branched out more and so forth. But in this reality there are no alternative Timelines, just the one we all live in now. Some believe that the Prize Pod People somehow come into existence because the Timeline they exist in can't exist in this reality. As a result, someone who is basically another but from a different, near perfectly identical timeline can appear at any moment when a pod is opened."
"So, you think Dex is her Dexter, just not the right timeline Dexter?"
"If he is then it would explain why her Breeder Programming had her hone in on him if she's been searching aimlessly all until now."
"But…here's another thing…what if this is some weird reincarnation thing? I mean, it's rare but Reincarnation is a Skill that you can get if you either follow the Shaman class or some other nonsense." I brought up. "Is…that at all possible?"
"Hmm… I know there are similar skills and abilities possible if one follows a powerful God or Admin being, but I really don't know. This is all new to me." Nanny said, pulling a blanket from her Assistant and covering Brenda with it. "I do know this. She won't stop being the Breeder she has been programmed to be. She likely has no memories at all of who she was before, assuming she wasn't literally built to be a Breeder."
"This is…disgusting…" I shook my head.
"So… what do we do with her?" Jenny asked. "If we let her wake up she'll accidentally traumatize Dex trying to do what she was programmed to do, even if we just keep her asleep like this til he's old enough that just delays the issue and he probably won't want her like that anyway."
"It is a dilemma." Nanny frowned. "Worst case scenario… we send her back to the Chaos Guild that did this to her…"
"Yeah, that is a worst case scenario that…I'd rather not happen." I said honestly. "Whatever we do with her is probably leagues above whatever the hell the Chaos Guilds have in store for her."
"So either way she's the one that suffers." Jenny frowned. "Can't we brain wash her or reset her or something?"
Nanny shook her head. "What's been done to her is at the Code Level. You'd need at minimum a Hacker or Programmer, someone capable of using code to even try to peek at what's Truly been done to her, and even then, what's been done to her can't be undone. Whoever she was, if there was ever someone there to begin with, is gone. Even if we knew or had someone who knows Code it would be a Miracle if they reset her and didn't make it worse or break her by accident."
I rubbed my temple. "Sweet Mother almighty…" I groaned.
"I might have an alternative suggestion." Vega 5 spoke up.
"What do you have in mind Vega?" I asked.
"I can perform a simple surgical procedure to place in a storage drive and override hardware that I can connect to, taking control over Brenda's body. Her consciousness would be kept in an endless sleep, but her body would be utilized by me to perform tasks my current bodiless form can not."
"Would it hurt her?" Jenny asked.
"Negative. She would be completely unaware and reside within a mental construct I can fabricate to hold her based on her memories and alter them to her ideal specifications so she would not want to leave."
"So basically you keep her in an endless wet dream and keep her physical body safe and well kept."
"Well…while this feels bad and worrying, it's better to keep her in Wonderland than do something bad to Dexter or…her going into a psychotic meltdown…"
"Would you be able to resist should her Breeder Programming seep in and try and take control?" Nanny asked.
"That is why I plan on keeping her consciousness in a construct of her most precious desires and wants, tricking her programming Into believing it is being used as intended. Should her Breeder Programming attempt I can issue a failsafe and paralyze her body before the construct can fail or before it can attempt to alter me."
"Too risky. I'd rather not have some weird robot sex crazed AI trying to do things to Dexter." Jenny said.
"Yeah, I'd rather that not happen either." I shook my head. "So…best we can do is just…keep her unconscious in fantasy land…"
"Can you keep her in a stasis sleep Vega?" Nanny asked.
"Easily. When should I awake her?"
We all looked at one another…
I sighed. "How long can you keep her in stasis?"
"So long as I have power to the med bay, I can keep her in stasis indefinitely."
Jenny sighed. "Just… keep her there for seven years. By then Dex will be eighteen and hopefully we can try and prepare him for… that." She waved a hand over Brenda. "And hopefully learn more about this insanity."
"Yeah, that works." I nodded. "Make sure Dexter is of age before he…sees this again." I sighed.
"Understood. Prepping Stasis Pod now."
We quickly put Brenda in there back at the Med Bay, and I went home and drank for a while… she spent… so long… looking for her Dexter… and now… what did they do to her…
"She was a near dead husk…walking, fighting, and waiting for Dexter…she never once went Mad…" I muttered. "I need to find this Lily person, she has to know something." I said, Brenda having said that Dexter left Brenda with Lily to take care of her, so if anyone can help us understand this, it's Lily. "Just…need to figure out who that person is and where the hell they are."
