"A fourth guild…" Nanny said.
"And you just got… all this stuff? Heather, some of this is Level Five Dungeon tier!" Casey said as he looked through the list of everything I received. "And all these Skill Points, money…"
"Fourth Guild…" Nanny said again.
"I'm more surprised she's the first." Jenny said.
"And three legendary Abilities?! That means you have four now!" Casey added.
"Fourth Mother Run Guild…" Nanny said.
"Listen, I'm just as shocked as all of you are, if not more so cause I got this from the world soul of Armageddon." I said incredulously. "They just…handed it all to me as some congratulatory care package and I don't know what to do here…"
Nanny seemed to collect herself, rapidly shaking her head and taking a deep breath. "This… is rather unusual, but whatever the case may be, fact is that you're now the Founding member and Leader of a new Mother Run Guild. So, it would be best to start off with the question of what does your new Guild do?"
"My new Guild goes through the Genetic Memories of Prize Pod People and…helps them remember their true selves, as we Protect the Past and all the Memories beings have in this world…as apparently I'm the very first person to even do this kind of nonsense, as well as Scan the Angel's of Dead Memories…" I said carefully. "And considering the legendary abilities I just got, I'm also supposed to hunt down and find Prize Pods and Isekai as well…but it's gonna be really hard cause there is no Mother's Church to help congregate the poor bastards if they are sent to Armageddon…" I sighed. "Plus I…have no idea what half of what I was given does or even is…"
"Well, as far as a church goes that's actually easy." Nanny said. "As a member of the Mother's Daughters I can easily establish one in town."
"How come you haven't before?" Jenny asked.
"Armageddon is a huge place, not only would we get Isekai spawning within it but also people who respawned naturally."
"And some of those people might not be so… friendly…" Casey sighed. "Makes sense."
Nanny nodded. "It's how they hunt down Mother's Daughters members. Nexus and Violence members committing suicide to respawn and if they respawn at a church well…"
"Oh…that's…not good." I said nervously. "But…wouldn't we be under protection as we…technically are apart of Greed through a partnership?"
"Yes, but when it comes to churches and the Daughters, Time Walkers and Sons, Nexus and Violence members are more than willing to start wars to destroy just a single church and eliminate a single Daughter. The only ones who uphold the thinly held treaties and peace are people who work for the guilds as a job, but the ones who enjoy it, or were born into the insanity from Breeder mothers and were raised to know nothing else? They are more than willing to burn the already shaky bridges."
"So what do we do?" Jenny asked.
"We play it smart." Nanny said. "I just need to establish the Church, I don't have to be at it but I need the ability to monitor it. Carver and Slayer tech can help give us a healthy buffer between us and any threats a respawned Chaos Guild Member could provide. Even a crazed Chaos Guilds Member would think twice before taking on a Slayer."
"Alright, that makes sense." I nodded. "But this is…still a lot, I honestly haven't even checked what the hell I obtained I've been…so overwhelmed…"
"Well, anything of note you noticed or?" Jenny asked.
Well, I do remember I got some armor. I usually don't wear any though…
I looked at it in my Assistant… Holy… Crap…
[Armor of The Past.
PR: 2,300,500
MR: 950,545
ER: 1,480,980
Special Ability: Past Immunity - When Within the memories of another, Physical Damage is nullified completely, Magic and Elemental Damages are reduced by 80%]
"Bruh…" I said weakly. "So…Armor of the Past…not only is it the single most stupidly strong piece of armor I've ever seen…but within memories, I take 80% less from everything, and am completely immune to Physical damage…"
"Holy crap…" Casey said.
"That sounds about right." Nanny nodded, making me look at her. "You're the first and founding member so the armor you get for the guild would be the strongest. For other members to come later the armor will likely be a weaker version but as they grow in strength so to will the armor. When I first joined the Daughters the Nun Gown I was given had a Physical Resistance of fifty, Magic Resistance of eighty, and an Elemental Resistance of eighty."
"Right…" I said, getting up and deciding to equip the armor to see how it looked on me.
The armor, despite the stats, was rather plain in appearance. Actually it didn't even really look like armor, consisting of a leather vest, crop top shirt, what feels like blue jeans pants and some boots. The only thing of real note about them was the back of the vest held the image of a double Helix that seemed to be turning into pages within a book.
"Huh… rather unassuming." Jenny said.
"Well…I will admit, this is more to my style." I said, looking over myself and seeing how it fit…rather well to me. "And it looks great on me."
"Definitely shows off your abs." Casey said with a smirk.
"And that's why I enjoy the Tomboy look." I chuckled, flexing a bit just to show off. "So…got armor, now what the hell else did I get?"
I checked my assistant. Majority of the stuff was all raw materials. High end raw materials too… and lots of them. If Carver makes a church out of this, mixing in Slayer tech… it would be both a church and prison for those Chaos Guilds members who are not so friendly.
"Right…so I have an ass ton of some really high end raw materials…" I said. "Now…let's see what my brand new Legendary Abilities are…" I muttered.
[Gene Walker: You can now effortlessly enter the Genetic Realm of an individual. While their memories stored in their DNA can be unlocked by you, as well as the removal and even disposal of all genetic based abilities, including Legendary.
Pod Locator: From now on, your Minimap will display the location of all Prize Pods within the maps range.
Isekai Locator: When an Isekai appears in the zone you are in, you will be notified with a location and an option to teleport them directly to you.]
"Huh…" I said honestly. "So, I can easily go into someone's Genetic Realm, and even take away genetic based abilities, even Legendary abilities which is…stupidly rare…" I admitted. "And the other two, well Pod Locator is just Prize Pods on my Minimap, and Isekai Locator…well, I kind of act like a Mother's Church with me being able to teleport them directly to me."
"Well that's useful." Casey said.
"Still, there could be hundreds or thousands appearing in the zone daily. A church would be better in the end and less of a hassle." Nanny said.
"Yes, yes it would." I nodded, "So…now I just need to allocate all my skill points into a lot of important things…and figure out how the hell I can start recruiting people."
"Well that's gonna take a while." Jenny said.
"Oh yeah…both because I have no clue how to spend two million skill points besides shoving it into what I already have but I need to expand cause I'm now a Guild Leader…"
"So I guess we just wait for Carver to get back with Mantis's soul then see if the Slayers are up for this." Nanny said.
"Yeah, just gotta wait…but I am glad that Mantis will be getting a soul soon." I said with a smile, but suddenly I got a ping from my Assistant. "Well that was fast." I said, pulling up my Assistant and seeing that it was my Isekai Locator, and there was someone appearing. "Well…might as well test it out." I said, clicking on the 'send to my location' button.
In a sudden flash of light, appeared a man in…what I can only describe as 'Regal Doctor' attire, the white coat denoting his profession but it was inlaid with a material I wasn't entirely certain what it was, the entire coat was radiating magic as his other clothes seemed to fit the bill as well, blue and white medical clothes that made him look more like he was prepared to do his job than whatever 'regal' look he was going for. They were tan, in their mid fifties if I can guess correctly, tall with a slim body structure, messy brown hair with tinges of gray in them, a well kept beard and overall he just looked like your average old doctor…but something about the magic radiating off both him and his clothes, the scale like texture to the doctor outfit…something about this felt different.
"Huh…teleported to another new world?" The doctor immediately questioned, looking around at all of us. "Uh…none of you would be a part of the Divine Blood Church would you?" He asked nervously.
"No, and I don't think I've heard of that before." I frowned, helping the doctor up. "My name's Heather, who are you?"
"My name is Dr. Arthur Thompson, and I am both the head doctor, and King, of the 'Demon Realm' Transylvania."
"...Really?" I asked, a little surprised but…I just held a flat look at the name of the kingdom.
"Apparently it was an actual magical world hopping Transylvania that got forever stuck in the new world I was sent to…" Arthur said sheepishly. "And…who are you?" He asked the rest of the group.
"Casey, Heather's husband." Casey said. "Despite the look, I was born male and well… I ended up keeping this look after a few… fun nights Heather and I had being both."
"Jenny. Former world's most wanted dead criminal, experienced sniper, overall mass murderer." Jenny said.
"Call me Nanny. I am a retired member of the Mother's Daughters." Nanny said.
"Right…" He said, looking over each of us with a careful look. "Well, currently all of you are of perfect health, but Jenny…there is something different about you-" He was about to continue before starting to cough into his hand…the sudden smell of heavy iron coming off from him. "Damn it…I was so interested in something else that I forgot…"
"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.
"A special strain of Hemochromatosis, had it from genetics but the new world I was in…magically amplified the problem…" He said, wiping away the blood from his mouth. "I can cure HemoCrysaliazation with ease, kill Cancer with White Blood Cells…but simple magically enhanced Iron Overload is what I magically can't cure…" He chuckled. "So, while I try to get my magic's under control for my very late stage problem…"
"If I may?" Nanny asked. Slowly, she raised a hand to Arthur, a single one of her claws touching him. His body glowed an earthy green and blue for a moment. "There. That was an unusual mutation but nothing too serious." She said.
He blinked, closing his eyes as he was doing something…then gasped. "I…I'm cured? How!? I scoured the land before and couldn't find anything about my condition."
"What was the condition specifically?" I inquired.
"Imagine if Cancer turned your blood into pure Iron and you also couldn't process it properly." He said, which I winced. "But back to my question, how did you do this?" Arthur asked, suddenly getting a glint in his eye as he looked up to Nanny like she was some saint…which she kind of was to him right now.
"I am a member of the Mother's Daughters. We specialize in protection, healing and support magics as well as alchemy, sciences and such. For your disease, as you said, your blood was turning to iron, a common element in blood but not in the excess amounts that was happening within you. In your case a strand of DNA was mutated, what was supposed to store and use the iron for normal use in your body was magically generating iron in excess. I simply undid the mutation and returned the DNA helix back to it's original form and function. I then purged the excess for a rapid recovery."
His eyes widened. "You…you can work on the genetic level? I knew that I had faulty genetics, happens to the best of us, but I thought it was amplified by the new world, not just straight to my genetic code amplifying it…" He said, digging in his coat and pulling out a pad and pencil, starting to write this down. "O-oh! Uh…s-sorry." He said sheepishly.
"Don't be, you literally just got cured and had your life saved all in one, it's okay to geek out a little." I chuckled.
Nanny smirked as she nodded. "Many Isekai that arrive here come from non magical worlds, while others like yourself prior to arrival here pass between a magical and non magical world. A number of factors determine if the magic effects the body differently. In your case it cause some gene mutations. This is why all Isekai, by decree of The Mother, receive the same cells all of us Native to this reality have." Nanny said, holding up her hands and displaying a 3D image of how our cells all look. They confused me in school. "This is how our cells and now yours look. They are more complex as you will notice, and this is for a variety of reasons." A second, metallic looking cell, or maybe something else, appeared next to it. "For beings with artificial, non organic bodies, they have a very similar, artificial variation of these cells. This allows organic and inorganic beings to cross breed and allows for any species so long as both are intelligent to cross breed." Nanny explained.
Arthur looked like he just died and went to heaven with all his new knowledge. "Wow…and for the record, I was in one magical world, then was teleported to another Magical World…then I was sent here somehow." He brought up. "But this…this changes everything, the Cell's your showing me look like they were hand crafted to be able to read, mold and shape itself to whatever the race needs, able to fend off or even kill virus's and the like due to the blank space in there that would absorb DNA and change it to fit the bodies needs! This is incredible!"
…
My head hurts…
"So uh…before we get too deep into your new research, mind telling us a bit about yourself?" I asked sheepishly. "And what did you mean about Jenny being different?"
"O-Oh! Sorry I…got into my nonsense again." He said sheepishly. "Luna would be laughing at me so hard right now…" He shook his head. "So, to the question about Jenny, you have a Foreign and…rather violent strain of Blood in your system, not enough to cause any personality changes or other harmful side effects, but it does give your body more room to build muscle, give you more adrenaline at a rate I'm not sure of until I run some tests…"
"Yeah… where I come from people hunted my family down to cut apart their bodies to see just how we did what we did so… I'll keep my samples to myself, thanks…" Jenny said.
"Oh, I am so sorry, I won't do anything like that." He shook his head. "See, I'm a HemoMage, or Blood Bender for more simple terms, ran in the family as well as our profession as Medical Doctor's, I would only need to look at you to tell how your blood works, type, flow, and other such things."
"So that's why you knew that Jenny was different." I said in realization. "Thought you had some Scan ability we didn't know about."
"Could be seen that way." Arthur nodded. "But I promise I would never stoop to such barbarism unless my patient gave me explicit confirmation and consent to do it." He said readily. "I took my Hippocratic Oath for a reason."
"Must have some mastery over it to know such things at a glance." I admitted.
"I would be considered a Master to most, but I'm far from a true master…especially with Earth magic as well." He admitted, though he let out a breath that I didn't know he was holding…and suddenly everything felt…cleaner? Like the air shifted and felt like fresh air just appeared. "Huh…that's different…" He said, looking confused by this. "That was supposed to be Earth Magic I stopped using internally now that the Iron in my system was gone…why does it feel like Nature itself became cleaner?"
"Might be a change in how your magic works because of this reality." Nanny said. "Sometimes Isekai that come here with magic say it works differently or even easier, some say it's more powerful than before. It just depends."
"Oh, also I wouldn't recommend letting Mantis know you're a Doctor. Apparently that's one of his trigger words and well we all know what happens when he has his PTSD episodes…" Jenny said.
"I understand." He nodded. "Oh, and what's that on your arm? I don't think I've ever seen a runic symbol like that." He pointed to mine and other's arms for the Assistants.
"Oh, this is an Assistant, an all in one miracle machine." I said honestly, raising my arm as he looked over it.
"Hmm…bound to you by magic and technology I've never seen before, acting more like a tattoo physically but holding…untold capabilities…"
"Heh, I'm pretty sure even after three Eras no one really knows if the Assistant has a limit to what it can do." Casey chuckled.
"Oh yeah." I nodded. "Sad we can't get you one, it would be great to have you also see what you're capable of doing truly." I said honestly. "Cause I think your 'Earth' magic turned into pure Nature magic at this point."
"Well you do have that Statue." Nanny said. "The Mother Statue, I can use it to get him one."
Oh yeah… where did I get that thing again? Huh… weird. Think I'd remember how I got such an important item…
"Ya know…where did we find that?" I asked. "It feels like I was handed it but…can't remember who…"
"You probably grabbed it in one of your loot hauls. You tend to grab stuff in bulk without looking at everything in the pile sometimes." Jenny chuckled.
Huh… maybe. I shrugged.
"Well, either way, so we have a Blood Bending, Nature magic mastering Doctor…cool." I said honestly.
"Who's 'The Mother'?" Arthur inquired.
"Well, how to put this…" Nanny said. "The Mother is the creator of this whole reality. More than a god, more than even the All Makers, and Matriarchy of The Family, the most powerful beings in this reality who long ago fought to keep it from being destroyed by the Last True All Maker. It's a long story but when the war was over she created this reality with the idea of limitless potential and freedom in mind."
"Oh boy that's…that's something…" Arthur said as he tried to comprehend hearing about the Mother for the first time.
"Yes, it's a lot for all newcomers to this reality to comprehend." Nanny said.
"Right…so where is this Statue so I can get this Assistant?" Arthur inquired.
"Over here." I said, leading them to the statue and…I saw a picture frame next to it. "Huh?" I wondered, picking up the picture and seeing it as 'Unnamed Photograph' on the frame…but…that doesn't seem right…the spikey haired woman there…she looked familiar but…why can't I remember?
"What's this?" Casey asked, looking at the photo. "Huh… looks like my work but I don't remember taking it… do you know the woman in the photo with you?"
The woman was wearing a crop top, short shorts, short cut spiky blonde hair, and I held up my Ol Reliable while she held up a Starlight Keyblade.
"I…I don't know…" I said, putting a hand to my chest as it started to ache…what was I forgetting? "She…was probably a dear friend to us if we were doing that friend pose."
"Or you two were just really wasted at the bar." Jenny offered.
"We don't look drunk…and depending on how it would have gone, I'm pretty sure I'd remember some aftermath of a lewd drunken night." I admitted.
"Well, I know I would have. I'm usually the one you lewd up when drunk unless you aren't telling me something?" Casey asked with a raised brow.
I gulped. Why is there boss music playing?
"I would never betray your trust Casey…or not pick you up like a sack of potatoes to make it a three way." I admitted.
"God you both sound like Angela…" Arthur groaned, his face beat red at our lewd talk.
"We've been in a relationship for over two hundred years and just got into our 'horny phase' ten or so year ago."
"I suppose another thing you will learn is that we are functionally immortal because of our cells." Nanny said, seeing Arthur's jaw drop.
"H-how!? That would mean our cell's would have to be in a constant state of division and rejuvenation!"
"Which they are." Nanny said simply. "We can still starve, dehydrate and be killed but we respawn two hours later. Usually in the last place we slept, but here on Armageddon the Respawn is random unless I can get that church created." Nanny said. For once Arthur looked as lost as I was when they were talking about the cells.
"Wha-Bu-ju-" He started to babble, trying to make sense of any of that.
"Welp, I think we broke him." Jenny said.
"Surprised it took this long considering how much he was so excited about learning all this." I chuckled.
"Well, I'll take him for more talks and to help process. I do have some experience with this." Nanny chuckled as she led Arthur out of the room.
"Well, guess it's back to you trying to figure out stuff for your new Guild." Casey said.
"Yes, that is true." I nodded. "Just…have to wonder how to do this…" I said, pulling out that book Armageddon mentioned I would need. "Armageddon mentioned I would need this, as it would help…hopefully it will."
Some time passed, I was reading through that book like gospel and only really understood half of it. It was instructions, I know that much, but some of them sounded weird or maybe it was something I'd learn to do later.
Regardless, at least talks with Carver went well. He came, gave Mantis his new soul, then agreed to our idea but had to have us meet his commanders.
I was waiting for them to show up-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I heard and saw Arthur screaming as he ran for dear life, tailed by Mantis whose body was much larger, had a new arm made from random tech that ended in a sharp metallic claw as he was chasing Arthur with what was very much his PTSD induced rage.
Oh crap not again!
"Mantis!" I shouted, rushing after the two quickly. "Mantis no! No attacking our new guest!"
"I'm trying to stop his rage with my Blood Magic, but his biology is really weird and the technology in his body really isn't helping!" He said, a swing from Mantis seeming like it was aiming away from Arthur with his flesh arm but the metal arm he had to do some hand gesture to diver the attack. "I'd love to defend myself more, but I don't want to hurt your child or crack this entire section of the planet!"
Excuse me what!?
"First, let's stop Mantis, then I'll get an explanation out of you!" I said, immediately tackling Mantis as they were about to make another swing and held the struggling Nokori. "Mantis calm down!"
Thankfully, Nanny showed up and cast a sleep spell on him. My little winged sheep once out reverted back to normal.
"Who caused this episode?" Nanny asked, holding Mantis and looking between Arthur and I with a raised brow.
"I didn't do it!" Arthur said worriedly. "Given I don't have many clothes, I decided to stick with my normal attire, both because they are heavily enchanted for both my protection and comfort, I thought that Mantis would just think 'those are some neat clothes', cause no doctor has royal embroideries or my own symbol on the back." He said, which I…weirdly just now noticed that it did hold an Insignia, the Caduceus over a red TearDrop shape. "And again, I would have defended myself properly, but I didn't want to hurt your son or accidentally create a Great Rift in this entire area…"
"Okay, that leads me to my next question, how strong are you?" I asked.
"Ever since I obtained my Assistant…I have learned that being claimed as a God back in my second home…wasn't entirely nonsense…" He said sheepishly. "As I've come to learn, I am in fact a God, of Medicine, Blood and Nature, don't know when but I got a notice saying that I had a Divine Spark and…it all went from there." He said sheepishly. "I mean, just from my Earth Magic alone, I could sink a continent if I tried but all that power was keeping my body functioning…and my Blood Bending/Magic…well, there's a reason why they called me the 'Blood Lord Dracula'..." He admitted sheepishly.
"Right." Nanny said, sounding rather… unimpressed. "Well something happened to trigger this episode out of him, so since he was chasing you, were you talking to him before?"
"Well…yes, I was asking him some…rather simple question to be honest." Arthur said.
"What kind of questions?" I asked carefully.
"Just simple biological questions, cause I have no idea what a 'Nokori' is, his chimeric like body is so strange considering it looks less grabbing specific pieces and putting them together and more like a hodgepodge of extra bits on a sheep…then I was curious as to why his name was Mantis, cause I thought he was an actual Mantis magical creature that got transformed into this form…" He explained nervously. "I promise I didn't mean any harm, I tried to respect his boundaries with my profession and the like."
"Well…considering so far you've shown you're a pretty good person…I'm willing to believe Mantis is, yet again, too smart for his own good…" I sighed. "You didn't mean it, I can tell that much…"
"I'm so sorry…I didn't mean for this to happen…" Arthur sighed. "I might have…asked too many questions, especially when I looked at his blood and noticed how…different it was, even compared to other magical creatures I've experienced, even with our new cellular structure." Arthur explained. "Like the fact that his blood looks like it should be from an undead, but it's overall healthy like a normal living magical creature."
"That's a bit of a story." Nanny sighed. "Mantis was the first one Heather managed to recover their long suppressed memories, and he has been through much. Despite only being seven. It would be easier to show you, if you'd like? It would give you a better understanding on his situation and his species… even amongst Nokori Mantis is rather… unique." She said, waving a hand over Mantis's head. A white card with an image of Mantis appeared over him and she grabbed it, and handed it to Arthur.
Arthur gently took the card and looked it over. "Hmm, what kind of card is this?"
"It's what we call a Memory Card. It's a copy of his memories. Just hold it to either your head or your heart." Nanny said.
Arthur looked the card over some more before placing it to his forehead. It seemed to break apart into small shards of light and flow into his head. I noticed his eyes seemed to flash, as if images played through his eyes at rapid speeds. When it was over he covered his mouth and seemed to be tearing up.
"Oh…Oh gods…" He muttered. "First the Divine Blood…now Y Labs…" He started to cry. "I'm so sorry young one…I…I didn't know…"
"His species has… not had the kindest birth into existence." Nanny sighed. "All we can do now is help ease his past, heal the wounds and help him become a person his friend Matthew would be proud of."
"I…I understand." He nodded. "And…from the memories I've seen of his life here…I'm sure Matthew will be proud of him."
"What did you mean 'First'?" I just had to ask.
"The Divine Blood Church…" Arthur sighed. "Blood being sacred to them, but they believed that blood diseases were a 'blessing', that it shouldn't be cured…million's were dying each day, men, women…children…" He shook his head. "Then…when I started the war…I learned how truly depraved they were…how far they would go to prove their nonsense…diseases that turned your blood into acid and burned you from the inside out, blood that boiled at room temperature that would…cause explosive results…" He said…his tears streaming down his face now. "Their…one of their most deranged creations…they had a wall of children…then they gave them the 'Legion' Virus…all those children's screams…their blood erupting from them like volcano's, all converging into giant blood golems covered in innocent children's flesh and bone as armor…they kept screaming…" He shuddered from the memory.
I…I looked between Mantis…and everything Y Labs forced on him…then what Arthur just said…"Holy shit…" I muttered in horror.
"...It pains me to admit this, both you and Mantis might meet a common enemy someday." Nanny said, earning a look from Arthur as she pulled Mantis close. "This is Armageddon. A place owned and teeming with the most vial and heartless people in creation. Odds are, similar people to the ones who did this to Mantis, or even the same people, and this Blood Church, both are still functioning somewhere here."
Arthur's eyes widened. "Damned multiverse…" He growled.
"Well, the most important thing is, you're not going to do this alone." I admitted. "You have friend's to help you fight, and sure you might not have an entire Countries worth of resources at the moment, I'm sure it'll be simple enough to get back in this reality."
"We can hope…" Nanny sighed. "I'll take Mantis to his room to sleep off the rest of the spell. Have to admit, his control over his body is quite the sight to behold." Nanny then walked off, carrying Mantis off and leaving me with Arthur, who seemed to be rather conflicted at hearing the news.
"I thought…I would have been done fighting…had enough time to raise a family before my disease took hold, be done with the zealot's that would sooner murder countless millions, if not billion's for their own personal gain…"
I sighed. "That's Armageddon for ya…but again, you're not alone." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Again…I'm really sorry about all of this…" Arthur said weakly, seeing the poor man just…so conflicted and broken after the revelation with Mantis and his own world's sorrows.
"Excuse me, you're Heather?" I turned to see a man, human, I think, dressed in Slayer Attire as he stood almost a full foot and a half over me. He wasn't armed, at least no weapons were on his person. I wouldn't be surprised if he was packing near endless weaponry in his Assistant.
"Yes, that would be me." I nodded. "Who are you sir?"
"I am Slayer Karvu." He addressed. "I am Slayer Carver's superior. I was informed you had… much, to discuss with me in private." He said.
"Yes…I have a lot to talk about." I nodded. "And uh…are you sibling's or something? Cause your names are…pretty similar to be honest."
"We share no blood but we are brothers as part of the Slayers Guild Codex." Karvu said.
"Fair enough." I nodded. "Oh, and this is Arthur, an Isekai that's…also a God."
"It's nice to meet you." Arthur nodded, but he had a curious look in his eyes as he was probably seeing the Slayer's blood and seeing Demonic power in it.
"If you are examining me hoping to learn things, I suggest you stop." Karvu said. "The Slayers have a zero tolerance policy towards those who try and examine us for secrets, and I will tell you now you would not be the first god I've killed."
That made Arthur jump.
"S-sorry! I didn't mean to study any secrets!" He said worriedly. "I was just…curious, cause I saw your blood flow and found an energy I've never seen before…I would have said 'Demonic' but I've never seen Demonic Energy like what you have." He explained carefully.
"And that is all you should concern yourself with knowing. Any further investigation and it will be your head." Karvu warned.
"R-right…" Arthur gulped.
"Alright, so let's go to someplace more secluded so we can talk." I said, leading Karvu to the isolated room we've made cause there are…a lot of private thing's that's been learned and we really need to keep on the down low.
I brought Karvu into the house. Once there he pulled out a small item that, once he turned it on set up a small barrier around us. "Carver tells me you house a member of the Daughters, as well as apparently you are the new head of the first new Mother Run Guild in over three Eras."
"Yes, Nanny is a retired member of the Daughters…and I have the Founding Member and Guild Master of the Past Protectors, a Guild that was apparently supposed to happen but nobody decided 'let's check genetics in case there's something there'." I brought up. "My job is to protect and unlock memories that are hidden in Prize Pod people and probably other's but…Prize Pod's are the first."
"I see. Carver said he needed aid in establishing a special church for the Isekai that can also handle the Chaos Guilds as well. He said you have materials?"
"I have a lot of materials." I said, bringing up the list of rare items and showed him what I got.
"Hmm… yes, this is all extremely useful. The Slayers can help construct the facility, but helping maintain and run it will not be under us. If you want an army more than willing to help and make use of a genuine Church of The Mother, we can help you get in touch with the New Foundation."
"That would be great." I nodded. "We can start as soon as you want."
"We will have to construct it a far distance from your settlement, otherwise should something happen it would be bad if it was within view of the settlement."
"That's fair." I nodded. "But it would still need to blend in so it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb, even if it is in Slayer Territory I've heard Chaos Guilds would literally throw themselves to certain death just to destroy it."
"Some, yes. Happened a lot in the past. We can best conceal it if we construct it underground. It will take time however."
"We have all the time in the world." I nodded. "Unless…something new is happening?"
"Nothing major the Slayers have noticed. The time to build and design the place while being desecrate could take several years. Especially if we want it to be large enough to operate efficiently."
"Well, depending on how it goes Arthur is apparently a God of Nature with some really strong Earth magic if that could help." I brought up. "So getting all the digging and carving out might shave off some time."
"I plan on this behind deep enough in the earth that should we need to, a self destruct would bury even a Slayer alive and the explosion would be unseen from the surface."
"Well…he did mention his capabilities could sink a continent if he tried, but that was with base Earth magic where he wasn't a God." I brought up. "But just throwing up a suggestion…cause I'm still trying to make heads or tails about the whole Guild master thing…"
"It would be tricky for a newcomer to being a Guild Master, let alone a Mother Run Guild." Karvu said. He then turned the barrier off. "I'll take my leave now. We will meet again to exchange the materials and location of the project."
"Thank you." I nodded. "Hopefully this will start a trend of good things happening on this planet."
"We can hope."
The following months passed fairly uneventfully. I'd teleport Isekai to us as they came and spent the rest heading out to gather pods that appeared on my map.
When I wasn't doing that, I was helping the other pod people in town regain their memories.
Things were going well, and for some reason that made me uneasy.
"I don't like this…" I frowned. "Everything's going…almost too well…"
"TITAN DEMON! APOCALYPSE CLASS!" I immediately heard through one of the scouts.
"Cause of fucking course…" I grumbled, looking up…and up…and…oh boy that's a huge bitch! "Oh…great…"
"Hmm, that is a rather big demon…" Arthur hummed, not shocked or scared by it as he started to walk towards it.
"Arthur, what the hell are you doing?" I asked worriedly.
"Going to show you what I can do." He said, as the demon roared it's challenge, it being so powerful it l…should have shook the ground but…somehow it felt like the ground was relaxed.
"Cute." He said, as he looked up to the beast…then it stood stock still, it's demonic energy pulsing to try and make it move but it's body didn't budge an inch. "Ah, that's how you work…" He hummed, as the beast started to move more like it was trying to stretch. "Such a vast circulatory system powered by three hearts and it's special energy…fascinating."
"Uh…Arthur?" I asked nervously.
"Oh!" He started, like he snapped out of some trance. "Sorry, my mind sometimes delves deeply into logistics and learning." He said sheepishly, looking back to the demon as it started to writhe in pain, as geysers erupted from its body…its own blood swirling around it like a tide of piranhas as I witnessed its own blood strip the demon clean of everything it had…flesh, muscle, even it's bones seemed to suffer from Arthur's might as it all started to swirl into a denser and denser ball…then I saw Arthur pull out an empty flask as the ball flew down to him and into the flask with ease as he corked it. "And done." He said with a smile.
"Uh…you just…killed one of the stronger demons in this area without raising a finger…" I said carefully.
"That's Blood bending for ya." Arthur sighed. "When I did my normal blood work the first time in the world I was sent to the first time…some saw it as a blessing, but the Church saw me as the Devil himself…" He sighed. "This might be useful for somethings, from researching how blood works in this reality to either selling it or giving some to that adorable little Dark Lord in training." He chuckled.
Yeah…Rose had taken quite a liking to 'Uncle Arthur', considering how she took to his blood mage knowledge like a fish to water. "Well…just keep it to children's level alright?"
"I'm making sure she learns properly." Arthur nodded readily.
