I'm a bit late for this but with season 2 of Just Dance 2023 Edition having just released last week I thought I would give my thoughts on the first season giving my opinions on each song.
ABC ( Nicer ) by Gayle
The first new song exclusive to Just Dance Plus and it's a decent one of course they had to use the clean version where it says forget you instead of FU the dancer looks cool and the background is nice and I like the 4th wall break at the end where the dancer smacks the camera overall good song but it's kinda overplayed nowadays 8/10.
Thank U Next by Ariana Grande
They really are increasing Ariana's popularity for the routine it's pretty cute and calm the high school setting fits well and other dancers from other Just Dance songs make cameos I'm assume they were the coach's boyfriends at some point but they since broke up I mean the song is about breaking up right? Anyways happy that Ariana getting more love these days 7/10.
Wet Tennis by Sofi Tukker
This might be my favourite from the season I don't know to be honest maybe because it was supposed to be on the main track list according to leaks because it was seen in the background from Can't Stop The Feeling ( Alternate ) along with another song which will see soon and some people believed it got cancelled or they were saving for Just Dance Plus the latter of which came true overall I love this map the coaches are awesome the background is eye catching and it's just a underrated song all together oh and by the way if you're wondering what Wet Tennis means it means when everyone tries to evolve nothing negative is safe I love this map so much 10/10.

This one I'm keeping short because I don't know much about this song I mean the background is fine the coaches are cool but I'm not really the biggest fan of Spanish music 5/10.
About Damn Time by Lizzo
This song was also likely to be in the main track list but instead was moved to Just Dance Plus for unknown reasons anyways this map has the same coaches from Magic by Kylie Minogue and Disco Inferno by The Trammps one song that I find hilarious about this song was that when Ubisoft uploaded the gameplay preview on their YouTube page they accidentally used the uncensored version to which they deleted the video quickly and re uploaded it with the clean version like it should be although I don't understand why damn isn't censored as it's considered a curse word in the US why didn't they change the title to About Darn Time instead? Oh well never mind this map is still a fun one 9/10.
Legacy Songs
For the legacy songs we got they were honestly pretty great choices Livin La Vida Loca So What Call Me Maybe Alright and Ain't No Mountain High Enough all of which we never got on Just Dance Unlimited so I'm glad these songs are all back I'm not giving them a rating because I'm sure most Just Dance fans might have heard them before.
My final thoughts on the first season overall is pretty good there's some great legacy songs some awesome new tracks and for the first season it's pretty solid my final rating for season 1 of Just Dance 2023 Edition is an 8/10 so keep an eye out for my thoughts on Season 2 when it ends in July.
