Chapter 17
Theo:
The weekend passed slowly. Liam was grounded for everything that happened and he had a test to study for. We texted and talked but I hadn't seen him, and I missed him. So, I was anxious for him to get here. He was driving in with Mason. Since they lived only a house apart from each other they decided to just take turns driving in.
I knew the second he had arrived; it was a feeling that I couldn't explain but my eyes followed when his car turned into the lot. I watched as Liam pulled in, him and Mason laughing at something before getting out. He wasted no time kissing me as soon as he was near. A course of 'aww' went up and Liam rolled his eyes.
"Sooner or later, that's going to have to stop." He said to the peanut gallery that was watching us.
"Probably later, it's still too much fun now." Allison said. Everyone shrugged and nodded. He rolled his eyes but grabbed my hand, lacing our fingers.
"You ready for this?" I asked as we approached the doors. Scott paused with is hand on the handle, everyone watching Liam making sure he was okay.
"Oh yeah." He said with a smirk. We walked in like the Mafia family we were. I even heard Liam and Mason snickering as we filed in after Scott and Lydia.
"Seriously, again?" Scott huffed as, again, whispers and stares met us along with the parting of the crowd so we could walk through.
"It's okay boyfriend, they just know an alpha when they see one." She told him, patting his chest.
"You think you're funny." He snorted.
"If we are a mafia family, does that make Scott the mob boss?" Isaac asked with a snicker.
"If he is, then that means Liam's the enforcer." Stiles chuckled. Liam groaned while everyone else laughed, except Scott who just sighed and rolled his eyes. I looked at Liam and raised a brow in question. He just shook his head.
Everyone separated to go to their lockers and since my locker was closer I was done trading my books in first. Walking up to Liam's locker, a girl by-passed me and stopped right in front of him as he was attempting to shove his bag in there. I stopped a few feet behind her wondering who she was and what she wanted.
"You're Liam, right?" she asked in a snotty voice.
"Yeah." He answered, finally getting his bag in there and pulling out his morning books.
"Rumor has it that you turned gay."
Liam looked at her and blinked. I turned my head to see if anyone else was catching this. I could see our friends listening, those with super hearing, and telling the others what was being said.
"Turned gay? How does someone turn gay?" he asked her. The look of confusion was too cute.
"Well, I don't know. It's just what I heard. I just wanted to warn you to stay away from my boyfriend."
Well, this should be entertaining.
"Why would I go near your boyfriend?" He asked.
"Because your gay and he's hot." She huffed as if it was obvious.
"I'm bi and I'm certain that my boyfriend is hotter." He smirked glancing up at me, and I really just wanted to kiss him right now.
"Besides, I don't even know who your boyfriend is. Matter of fact, I don't know who you are." He said tilting his head. I covered my mouth to not laugh. She seemed to perk up when he said that, standing straight, shoulders back and playing with a lock of her hair.
"I'm Mandy." She said then giggled.
"Okay, and your boyfriend is…"
"Justin. But he's more of a special friend then a boyfriend." She said and Liam blinked at her.
"But you just said-."
"Forget about that. You said you're bi?" she asked moving closer to him; he took a step back and leaned away.
"Yeah, why?"
"That means you like guys but you still like girls, right?" she asked placing a hand on his arm. I quirked a brow wondering if it would be bad of me to go snatch her hand off him. Liam looked at her hand and then back to her, then laughed. He was almost hunched over he was laughing so hard.
"Let me stop you right there." He said shrugging her off. "Do you honestly think I would take you over him?" He asked pointing to me. She turned to see me, and I gave her a wave.
"He doesn't look like much." She sneered, turning back to him.
"You haven't seen him shirtless." He told her, moving past her to me.
From down the hall I could hear Allison, Lydia and Malia howling in laughter. Grabbing my hand and leading me back to the others, I shrugged in a 'what can you do' way at her. She huffed and walked away. Mason was standing with his mouth open as we approached.
"What?" Liam asked him.
"Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?" he gasped. Liam rolled his eyes.
"Seriously that was awesome." Allison said.
"I so wish I could have seen her face." Malia said.
"Well, it's not like it isn't true. You all have seen him shirtless." He shrugged.
"Yeah." Three female voices and one male voice sighed in unison.
"Hey." Came four unified voices, including Liam, in response. I snickered at all of them. But the indignant look on my mini wolf was too funny. The bell rang then, and couples split up and off.
"See you after class." Liam said, leaning in for a kiss and I loved that he had no trepidation about doing it in public because of course we were the center of attention.
"No picturing me shirtless in class." I teased.
"Yeah, I can't hold to that." He said shaking his head.
"Neither can I." Mason muttered.
"Hey," Liam said again then dragged his best friend down the hall.
Liam:
Today has been a mixed bag of reactions. But I was prepared for it for the most part. There were a few dirty looks and whispered comments about me and Theo that weren't favorable. As much as they annoyed me I tried to just ignore them. Mason was there with me every time offering support. Even the others who I saw between classes checked in to see if I was doing okay. I told them I was dealing with it. But I didn't regret coming out. Being able to be with Theo in public made me too happy to let them really get to me.
I was relieved that I wasn't even struggling with control issues. Besides, for every few negative comments there as at least one positive and a majority didn't care one way or another. Some were still thinking about my blow-up last week at Hayden.
Mason and I joked around on the way to the cafeteria, grabbing food and taking our seats at our normal table. In the back corner away from everyone I could see Hayden sitting by herself. She looked upset as she looked around then caught my eye before looking away. I really wanted to say I felt bad for her, but I couldn't.
"Hey." Theo greeted pulling my attention back to our table. Smiling, I leaned in for a kiss before sitting.
"Hey." Taking advantage of being able to freely touch him, I leaned against him, prompting him to put an arm around me while I rested a hand on his leg.
I heard a sigh at the other end of the table. Malia was staring at us with a dreamy smile that looked really out of place on her face. I raised a brow at her, and she straightened up.
"Sorry, you're just so cute together. Reminds me of a book I read recently."
"What book?" I asked curiously.
"I don't remember the name of it. It was one of those m/m romances." She shrugged.
"You're reading gay romances?" Stiles asked. Everyone turned to look at her.
"I was curious." Everyone snickered.
"Okay, I love your curiosity, you know that, but really?"
"What? It's not like I was researching sex again." She defended.
"Again?"
"You researched sex?"
Mason and I said.
"It was a while ago. I was-."
"Curious." Everyone said in unison. She huffed until Stiles kissed her.
"Wait, so what came up when you researched sex?" Mason asked.
"Porn." She shrugged.
We stared at her.
"It was back when I was first turned back human. I kept seeing shows and everyone was having sex. I was cu-, I looked it up. Then I went to Stiles and-."
Stiles covered her mouth as we could all see her ramping up for another unfiltered rambling. Shaking my head, I pulled out my bag of candy that Theo got me for my birthday.
"Why is that bag half empty?" Mason asked. Theo snickered next to me seeing the bag, which had been full on Friday.
"It was a long weekend." I mumbled popping a couple of pieces in my mouth. It's not like I was going to eat the pizza that Theo took one bite of and spit right back out. I felt a kiss to the side of my head, and offered him a piece, not thinking about the fact that I didn't just hold out the bag but instead the one that was already in my hand.
Another round of 'aww' ensued.
"Stop that." I sighed.
That was so cute. I wonder if I could write that into my story.
Throwing my head back, I sighed.
"What's wrong?" Theo asked.
"I think we just gave the story writer more material." I told him.
"Did we? What did we do?"
"You are getting way to much enjoyment out of this."
"And you're not?" he asked quirking a brow at me.
"Maybe. At least it's better than the drama. I could do without that for a while." I shrugged.
"We all could. But at least things worked out for you two. Speaking of…" Stiles said pulling out his phone.
"The winner is, drum roll please… Isaac. Congratulations." Stiles said taking out an envelope stuffed with money and handing it to him.
"Thank you very much. Couldn't have done it without you all." Isaac grinned taking the envelope and shoving it in his pocket.
"What the hell. Did you guys bet on us?" I asked almost choking on my candy. Even Theo's mouth dropped open. Everyone avoided our gazes.
"No, of course not. That would be wrong." Stiles said. We stared at him. "We bet on…when… you would finally just snap and kiss him… regardless of who's around."
"And you did it in the most spectacular way." Mason added.
"You were in on this?" I asked him. He looked sheepish.
"How much was the pot?" Theo asked.
"Around $200?" Stiles answered thinking on it.
"Seriously? I can't believe you guys bet on that." I said horrified.
"Oh, come on. Between what happened in the locker room and you publicly claiming Theo, the whole coming out thing was popcorn worthy. It deserved to be honored in an amazing way." Stiles defended.
"What actually happened in the locker room? Liam never really explained. He just came running out and kissed me until I couldn't think straight. Then he went off to play Lacrosse." Theo chuckled.
I blushed thinking about that kiss. I didn't really have a plan when I left the locker room. But he was standing there laughing and talking with my dad and he was wearing a shirt that looked as if it was made for him, God I loved him in Henley's, and I just had to. The crowd didn't matter and everyone else kind of disappeared. I just remembered the feeling of kissing him, arms around me...
"Liam, yo. You there mini wolf?" Stiles called out. I blinked out of my memory and shook my head to clear it.
"What?"
All eyes were on me and all of them laughing.
"You're eyes." Theo whispered.
"Crap." I muttered switching them back.
"And just what were you thinking about?" Isaac asked, grinning.
"Nothing. What were we talking about?"
"I was asking if you told Theo anything that happened." Stiles answered trying not to laugh.
"Oh, no I didn't. I hadn't thought about it afterwards."
"I bet, with how you laid one on him. Everyone felt the steam come off that kiss." Allison giggled. I blushed.
"That hadn't actually been the plan." I muttered.
"I'm not complaining." Theo said.
"Well, since you didn't tell him the story. Allow me." Stiles said and proceeded to tell everyone that wasn't present what happened Friday night in the locker room, with Isaac adding his own colorful comments. Theo's eyes were sparkling as he looked at me, kind of like he was proud of me, amused and wanted to kiss the hell out of me all at the same time.
"Oh my God." Allison shrieked, cracking up and drawing attention from a couple of tables.
"Wow, that's just… wow." Lydia said.
"Dude." Mason said shaking his head but smiling widely.
"Did you really tell him that you would put him in traction?" Theo questioned, amused. I nodded clenching my jaw.
"No one is ever allowed to talk about you like that." My eyes flashing.
"I seriously love when you get all protective." He said pressing his lips to mine. I took advantage of it by lacing my fingers in his hair holding him in place, prolonging the kiss until our friends decided they had enough.
"Okay, alright, we get it. You can stop now; people are starting to stare." Stiles said.
"They've been staring all day." I sighed pulling away and grabbing my water. It's like they never seen people kiss before. Even now looking around I could see people watching, some open mouthed. I rolled my eyes.
"Besides, wasn't it just a month or so ago we caught you and Malia on the picnic table in the courtyard?"
"Anyway," Stiles said, ignoring the snickering around him but smiling when Malia hid her face on his shoulder. "You should have seen coach after Liam walked out all chipper. He cracked up saying something about 'freaking mighty mouse putting Johnson in his place'."
"He called me mighty mouse? What is mighty mouse?"
"No clue, I think a show back in the 60s or something." He shrugged.
"So, we have both Scott and Liam who has threatened or caused pain to Johnson. Stiles who beat the snot out of Mitchell. anyone else?" Mason asked.
"Allison shot an arrow at Erica." Isaac volunteered.
"And Isaac beat the crap out of Ethan on a cross country trip." Stiles added.
"Right…" Mason said. "Is there any wonder why the school treats us like a mafia family?"
No one could really dispute that, and the bell rang so it didn't matter. We all got up to go. Theo stopped me before I could head to class.
"The stares aren't bothering you?" he asked.
"Not really? I mean it gets annoying and the rumors and all that are ridiculous. But I'm not really bothered too much about it. As long as no one does anything stupid I think I'll be fine."
