Last place we left off, Tyroth had been teaching Pandora how to go berserker, and after she had let off steam and passed out in Tyroth's arms, he was about to take Pandora to her room to be confronted by Monalisa.

How will this go? Well read below to find out.

Chapter Forty-Six

Explaining Things

Monalisa stared at Tyroth with unblinking eyes as she saw the two-metre-tall dragon holding her daughter in his arms like a bride.

"Tyroth?" She said in surprise.

At the same time, Tyroth looked down at Monalisa.

The lizard lady was wearing tight black shorts that went down to her knees and she was wearing a hot pink crop top that matched the colour of her ninja ribbon which was absent from her long dark brown hair that hung loose in its natural waves.

Tyroth swallowed hard and looked at Pandora then at Monalisa who looked at her daughter.

"Tyroth? What's going on? Pandora?" She gasped as she placed a hand on her daughter's forehead that was all sweaty, showing that she had been hard at work with her training.

"Mona." Tyroth said quickly "It's alright, Pandora's alright, she's just been training heavily with me observing, but she's exhausted herself out."

Monalisa frowned and looked at her daughter's face again then saw the dirty tear marks around her eyes.

"What happened in there?" She demanded.

She was remembering that time Tyroth had taken Pandora for a serious training session when they had been confronted and attacked by Vulstrun two years ago.

In fact she could still feel where that evil golden dragon had almost sliced her in half as she touched her stomach.

Pandora had been adamant to join her, Tyroth, the turtles and the Knights against Vulstrun, not because she wanted to join them in the field as she had begging to before she was ready, but because the hybrid had genuinely wanted to help protect her friends, family and Mutopia.

Because of that, Tyroth had got her to train against him and he had knocked her down a peg or two with his strength and power as he was the only one who could fight Vulstrun in a fair fight.

Monalisa was worried it had been something like that and given her daughter's attitude lately she was fearful Tyroth had done the same again.

Tyroth could tell what she was thinking, and he shook his head.

"None of that Mona." He said "I promise! Look let's get her to her room then we'll return back here and talk."

Monalisa agreed yet the frown still didn't leave her face as after she gathered Pandora's claws, tail blade and Mr Swinger, they hurried back to the residential area where luckily no-one was around as it was the middle of the day, or night given how the mutants were nocturnal and Tyroth could tell that the only people in the area would be the ones with their doors closed for privacy.

They soon made it to Pandora's room and Tyroth took Pandora to her bed and lay her down.

He then stepped outside the room so Monalisa could see over her daughter and wipe her down before giving her a kiss and covering her with a blanket.

Monalisa stood for a moment in her daughter's room looking at her with concerned as well as sadness.

"Oh Pandora." She said softly "I know how upset you are, as well as angry, and you have every right, but I wish you could open up to me and Raphael about it, or if not us your closest friends or your uncles, Mikey, your favourite uncle has told me you haven't even talked to him about your feelings." She sighed again and looked around the bedroom then back down at Pandora before giving her another kiss and walking out of the room to talk to Tyroth.

As the Lizard Lady left, her feet brushed against the fabric of the cargo pants Pandora had worn the night she had last gone topside without her knowledge yet she didn't notice it as she knew her teenage daughter hid a lot of stuff under her bed, both here in Mutopia and back in New York.

Tyroth and Monalisa headed back to the dojo and Tyroth sat Monalisa down to explain what had happened.

"What did you do?" Monalisa asked.

Tyroth sighed.

"Monalisa, I care for your daughter deeply, like I care for my own kids, and Sonia and Kemeko are no different, I've observed her, and after what you've been through recently…"

Monalisa lowered her eyes sadly as well as clenched her fists as the memories came back to her.

"Sephie told me she wasn't telling her her feelings, and Sonia and the Geckolings have been worried that she's not opening up through talking." Tyroth explained.

Monalisa knew the dragon was right, of course she hadn't seen her daughter's behaviour having been in her coma, and Raphael had only seen so much.

"I watched her, and I believed that if talking wasn't helping, I decided to give her some special training myself."

"What was that?" Monalisa asked.

Tyroth bit his lip.

He wasn't sure how Monalisa would respond to his answer, and he was ready to feel her wrath if she took it badly.

"Monalisa," he said taking her hands in his large paws, "I've been teaching Pandora how to go berserker."

Then he waited for her reaction.

Monalisa took it what the dragon said, and her blue eyes widened.

"You what?" She asked in a small voice, and Tyroth could tell she trying to keep calm and open minded.

If it had been Raphael, Tyroth had thought, he might have had a different reaction, and if he could talk, he might have exploded, or been a bit louder in his words.

Tyroth swallowed hard and he immediately went onto explain what he was doing with Pandora.

"I hoped…believed." He said, "that it would expel the fury she feels inside, she's so pent up and angry and since she wouldn't speak to Sephie, or anyone, I felt that if she used the Berserker, that her anger would be expelled from her system."

Monalisa sat in silence as she listened to Tyroth, her hands still clasping his paws.

"How did you teach her?" She asked.

"All I did was tell her to think of what made her so angry, and have it fill her whole body, but not to let go until she needed to use it, I understood what would happen if it went wrong and I took every precaution to make sure she stayed safe, and I let her vent her rage on me."

"And with her bare hands." He added quickly, "you saw she had removed Mr Swinger, her claws and tail blade, as even with my healing, the way she was going, it would have been a bloodbath."

Monalisa swallowed hard as she listened and took in what Tyroth was telling her.

"Did it work?" She asked, her blue eyes showing desperation "Did it help her?"

Tyroth paused.

He wasn't sure if the berserker had worked with the Hybrid as she was still speaking the names of the people who had made her so angry, but it had exhausted her.

"I can't tell you if it did or didn't Mona." He said, "But it did exhaust her as you saw, I'm hoping that if she was able to let off the steam she held in via berserker, she would feel better."

Monalisa looked down as she thought hard, she knew Tyroth always had everyone's best interests at heart, and he would never do anything that would hurt her daughter or make her worse than she was.

She had seen Tyroth's berserker rage before, and it was frightening, and she often joked with everyone she knew who had also seen it that she wouldn't wish to be in the shoes of anyone on the receiving end.

She wasn't sure how Pandora would handle it and she knew how angry she would get in battle, just like her father, she was fearless, merciless and dangerous when fighting.

She looked back up at Tyroth.

"I trust you knew what you were doing Tyroth." She said, squeezing his paws "And I trust you to look after Pandora and have her best interests, after all…I spent over a week in an induced coma…" she paused and licked her lips "And I wasn't there, neither was Raph, and he's under so much stress having been unable to talk."

Tyroth saw tears in the lizard lady's eyes and he squeezed her hands gently.

"How is he?" He asked "Raphael?"

Monalisa sighed.

"He's still having his treatments with Devina, James and Dahlia, they say there's improvement, but he still can't get his voice out, he can only hiss and wheeze, but he's still using sign language."

Tyroth lowered his head then he asked about the others.

"Donatello is having sessions with Sephie as we speak." Monalisa informed "He still feels guilty, he still thinks he let us down at the Foot Headquarters and that he allowed Komodo dragon to poison him, and Michelangelo, he's slowly getting back to his old self, but he feels bad he can't bring Pandora out of her shell."

"And Splinter?" Tyroth asked.

"Saddened." Monalisa confessed "He's also worried about Leonardo and Kemeko in Japan, he hopes they're safe and finding their way to the home of the Ancient One," she sighed again "I can also see Pandora misses Kemeko too,"

"They've never been apart this long before." Tyroth agreed "I think that's contributed to her feelings that she misses her cousin/honoured sister, but she knows why Kemeko had to leave."

"And she will return," Monalisa said "Even if it might be a while before she comes back, we can only hope she finds peace."

"We all hope so." Tyroth agreed "And Leonardo will help her find it."

Monalisa nodded in agreement.

Tyroth then looked again at how the lizard lady was dressed.

"Am I right to believe you're also in here to train?" He asked.

Monalisa looked back at the dragon.

"I am yes." She said, "I have rested enough, and I feel I need to regain my strength again, I fell in battle, and I want to get up again, Raphael wishes to as well, he said in sign he would join me after he had had his treatment in the medical room."

"I see." Tyroth said and he felt worried as he wondered if they would insist on accompanying him and the Knights topside and he still didn't want them to know the Foot were in the city.

"If you feel ready to train again," he said, "By all means, I just hope you're up to it."

"I am." Monalisa said "trust me."

Tyroth nodded and stood up, he was about to speak again when he felt his shell shell beep and he picked it up seeing it was from Jack.

"Odin's bread." He muttered as he read it then turned to Monalisa.

"Forgive me." He said, "I better see what this is about, thank you for understanding my reasons for doing what I did with Pandora."

"Of course." Monalisa said with a small smile but then she looked serious "I won't speak of this to Raph, just in case, and until we're certain it's helping Pandora."

Tyroth winked then turned to leave the Dojo whilst Monalisa stood in the middle of the room and started to do some stretches to warm up before training, a determined look on her face.

Meanwhile, in Pandora's room, it was about twenty minutes after Monalisa and Tyroth had left that she had woken up.

Opening her eyes, she was rather shocked as she didn't know where she was at first, but then found herself in her room.

Sitting up, the Hybrid rubbed her forehead as she tried to recollect what had happened.

She remembered training hard in the dojo under Tyroth's eye, then they did some training together, and then…

"Berserker!" She thought "He, he thought me his berserker training!" She sat up and looked at her hands as well as looked around her room to find Mr Swinger, her claws and her tail blade on her dressing table.

She then remembered passing out in Tyroth's arms after she had attacked him like he had told her too in her berserker rage and he must have carried her back to bed.

Sitting on the bed and placing her head in her hands, Pandora thought about how she had not wanted to attack him, despite him telling her to, but when she had gone into the berserker mode, she had felt all her anger and her strength working together to attack and cause damage and Tyroth had been the perfect target, having the ability to heal quickly.

He had said she wouldn't be able to tell friend from foe in her rage, and it was true, she hadn't seen Tyroth when she had targeted him, only the faces of the ones who had hurt her and her family.

Hanako, Arashi, Shredder, Dr Arden, the Venomous Five, she had seen them all, and she wanted to make them pay for what they had done, and she had meant it, that she would kill them, especially Hanako, after what she had done to her father.

She looked at her mirror and she saw her reflection, yet her face was covered partially by her long hair.

Blinking and brushing it out of her face, she soon saw the tribal face and she jumped back turning away before looking back at the mirror to see her real face.

Taking a deep breath, Pandora walked over to the mirror and stared at her herself, trying to remember what had happened in the dojo and how she had felt.

"Felt good didn't it?" A voice was heard, and Pandora blinked.

"What?" She asked.

"It felt good didn't it?" The voice repeated "Unleashing your anger, the Dragon did a good job showing you what he knew! If you keep it up, you'll be even more deadly in your hunts! That's what he called you, a Huntress!"

"I guess it did." Pandora said softly "But…But I didn't want to hurt him, I didn't want to attack him."

"And you did, because he told you to! And he doesn't get hurt easily! So what's to worry about? He's taught you something new, helping you channel your strength and anger together, if you keep it up, you're unstoppable."

Pandora looked away from the mirror and brought her hands up to her lips as she thought hard, and felt guilty at what she had done, attacking her uncle, even though he told her to, yet she couldn't deny it had felt good, she was was able to vent her anger, and use it to its best ability.

"Uncle T did well." She said "And I do feel good, in fact…I feel very good…" she looked at her hands and clawed them, a smirk forming on her lips and her eyes flashing….

After explaining everything, Monalisa seems content with Tyroth's intentions, as she trusts her dragon friend luckily, now she's decided to do her own training.

Meanwhile Pandora, now rested has awakened and remembered what happened. At first She felt guity, but then after reasoning with herself, she realises just how good it felt, and now it seems she's got plans again…uh oh!
