Chapter Sixty

Telling the Whole Truth

Meanwhile back in Mutopia, Tyroth and Sephie sat in a spare room near the main village sitting at a table with Monalisa opposite along with Raphael and Michelangelo on either side of her.

After they had left the medical area, Tyroth told Splinter that he would speak to the three reptiles alone to which Splinter granted his request and said he would come if the dragon and gecko needed him.

Michelangelo was looking worried, even though he was told Kate was going to be okay, he still felt scared.

Raphael was glaring and was breathing heavily.

Monalisa meanwhile was calm as she rested her arms on the table and gently drummed her right fingers on her left knuckles.

Tyroth looked at the three of them, then at his paws in front of him, he pressed his thumbs together as he had his arms resting on the table.

"Guys." He said, "I don't know how to start this off, how to explain how or why the Foot are in Chicago."

Raphael lifted his hands to sign something, but Monalisa stopped him.

"I'll handle this." She said firmly to which Raphael sighed and nodded.

Grateful for Monalisa's calmness and maturity as leader in Leonardo's absence, Tyroth and Sephie then began to explain to Monalisa and the other two turtles about how Jun had spotted the Foot at the Abandoned School where they were holding fights and how Hanako had seemed to have gone into crime business with the Yakuza Boss Kodama and the 95th Street Gang.

Monalisa nodded as she listened, and she knew it was common back in New York when the Foot and the Purple Dragons or any other gangs or Mafia would work together if it meant money and power.

When Hanako was mentioned, Raphael glared harder as he touched his throat, Monalisa snorted yet kept her cool and Michelangelo looked scared and touched his arm where she had shot him.

"So far, they don't know about Mutopia nor the fact you're here with us, but they are aware of us in general," Sephie explained "We've crossed many gangs and Mafia and even Boss Kodama himself on many occasions, but the Foot have never come to Chicago looking for you before."

"And given how much damage I've caused them in the past and only recently, they wouldn't dare!" Tyroth added.

Everyone agreed given how Tyroth had attacked the Foot before and when he did come to New York, they practically lay low and never sought him out.

"We have reason to believe that the Foot being in Chicago is pure coincidence and we hope they do not intend to stay long." Tyroth continued "Yet given how they managed to sniff out Devina and Jake, they might just extend their stay and start finding ways to get us out of hiding."

"That's what worries me!" Sephie agreed.

"So, what can we do?" Monalisa asked and Raphael and Michelangelo joined in with the question.

Tyroth was about to answer when there was a knock at the door making them all jump, and Tyroth glared as he turned to it as he didn't want anyone disturbing them.

"Yes?" he barked to which the door opened, and Donatello appeared looking furious.

"Donnie…" Monalisa started looking at the normally gentle and calm turtle who now looked as furious as Raphael, and it worried her, even though she had seen him angry before.

"Your brother's awake sis." He said in a gruff voice.

"Jake!" Monalisa cried and stood up.

"James and Dahlia sent me to inform you, and also about Kate's condition," he glanced at Michelangelo who stood up yet before the youngest turtle could speak, he went on.

"I saw the bite on her arm! It's one I've remembered from Dr Arden's disgusting abominations!"

Raphael lifted his hand and touched his neck as he remembered two years ago being bitten by one and how it nearly killed him!

"What have you been hiding from us Tyroth?" he demanded.

"Donnie!" Monalisa said walking over to the brainy turtle with her hands up in defence, "We've been talking about it, and Tyroth and Sephie have explained their reasons."

Tyroth and Sephie nodded.

"We're just sorry we couldn't tell you before this happened!" Sephie explained quickly "All of you are still trying to recover from your injuries and not just your physical ones, but mentally too! After what you've gone through, we couldn't tell you."

Donatello opened his mouth to speak but he stopped and took a breath as their words sunk in.

They were right about everything, and he would have done the same if the roles had been reversed.

After giving Donatello an explanation about what had occurred, Donatello sighed and rubbed his head.

"How can things escalate?" he asked in a drained voice.

"I don't know Don." Tyroth said "But I give you my word that as long as you're down here, you're safe with us."

"And we're grateful for it, Big T." Monalisa said "But we can't let you continue to fight battles against our enemies when we're hiding down here, we have healed physically, well, maybe not fully, at least enough to fight!"

Raphael clapped his hands in agreement.

"Big sis is right!" Michelangelo chimed in "You can't keep fighting our battles!"

"We know that, Mike!" Sephie said "But after what you went through with them, and this Hanako is dangerous, her, Boss Kodama and the 95th Street gang are a toxic combination."

"We'll need to have a proper meeting about this with the others after we've gone over the footage from the spy-bots Loki put together."

"That boy is so clever." Donatello said with a weak smile.

"You taught him well." Sephie winked at Donatello "Come on, let's go and see Kate and Jake and then we'll go on from there."

"Sounds like a plan." Monalisa agreed "Come on guys." she gestured with her head, and they walked out of the room towards James and Dahlia's medical quarters.

As the group left the room, they were unaware that Pandora had been watching them from the shadows, and her eyes blazed.

She had heard earlier from Bill the Duck and Alice the Chinchilla that the Chicago Knights had returned from patrol with three injured and she had gone to find out.

She had then seen what happened outside the medical room then after Tyroth had said to her parents and Michelangelo that they would talk, she decided to follow them from afar, and she had listened in on the whole conversation!

"So, the Foot are in Chicago and working with the gangs topside?" she snarled "And that bitch Hanako! The one who almost killed my dad and stole his voice, who injured me! Arashi's whore! She's leading them with her own army of ninjas and freaks!"

She curled her fingers and clawed them.

"Looks like another hunt is on the cards! Sunset...I will find the prey, and I will make them spill the beans about where that slag is, even if it means torture!"

She licked her lips and smirked.

"Hanako…You and I are gonna dance again soon! A true huntress always catches her prey."

"Pandora?"

The hybrid jumped and looked over her shoulder to see the shadow of a male Geckoling around the corner.

"Loki…" she thought.

"Pandora? You down here?"

She quickly stood up straight and looked to see Loki walking over.

"Ah there you are!" the Geckoling said cheerfully "What you doing down here?"

"Oh nothing." Pandora said innocently "I was heading this way to look for mum and dad as I were told there down here, but they left."

"Oh right." Loki said "Anyway, I was looking for you to ask if you wanted to play a game in the Playroom, Dungeons and Dragons? Skyrim? Mario? Maybe some Mortal Kombat?"

Pandora forced a smile and nodded.

"Okay! Sure, why not! Lead the way!" Loki grinned and held out his arm which Pandora took and they started to walk together to Sonia's Playroom.

"I can't tell you how glad I am to see you engaging with us again Pandora!" Loki said happily as he squeezed Pandora's arm, "After what Freya told us when you saw James, you must have expelled all that negative energy when you were sick!"

Pandora chuckled.

"Yeah, must have been a blessing." She said yet she crossed her fingers behind her back with her free hand and a pang of guilt came to her.

"Oh Loki, if you only knew…" she thought.

"He doesn't need to! You're doing just fine!"

"Shush, not here!"

"You're going to find some victims and make them squeal! Then you will find Hanako and make her pay!"

"Shush! I know! Just be quiet for now!"

"You alright Pandora?" Loki asked looking at his cousin as she tensed a little.

Pandora looked at Loki.

"You seem tense again, and you've gone pale?"

Pandora looked sheepish.

"I'm alright Loki, just had a funny five minutes." She laughed forcefully, "It's nothing."

"If you're sure!" Loki shrugged and carried on walking and Pandora sighed with relief.

Yet her thoughts began to wander again as she thought of Hanako.

"So, you're in Chicago hmmm, well, you better be prepared, as I will come hunting for you, and you will not leave this city alive, not as long as I'm here, not as long as I live and breathe!"

Meanwhile Topside, after the Chicago Knights had attacked the abandoned School, Hanako, the Foot, Boss Kodama and his assassins, Kamaru and Valentina along with those who had survived the attack had fled and had managed to hide in a safehouse provided by Kodama on the banks of the River.

Many thugs sat nursing their wounds and Hanako stood glaring out of the window.

Boss Kodama sat at a desk looking at the Japanese woman.

"It would seem that the Dragon and his army are aware of us." Boss Kodama said in a casual tone.

"No shit." Hanako said "And now he knows about me and the Ninja being here, he will stop at nothing to make sure we're six feet under!"

"And We've lost our playground!" Kamaru raged "We can't go back there anytime soon! Now that those creatures, those vigilantes know where we like to hang out!"

"It's an outrage! First, we lose three of our thugs due to this…. this…. Hunter!" she spat "Then the dragon and his cronies attack our school!"

"Where will we hold our events and meetings now boss?" Reiko asked, "I always enjoyed that school to fight in!"

"Totally!" Danny agreed.

"All the space it had." Cliff said as he punched his fist into his hand "Those fuckers have screwed with us big time!"

"And they will pay!" Kamaru growled.

Hanako turned to the 95th Street Leaders.

"I assume you know how dangerous the Dragon is?" she asked, "He is practically a God, the way he tore through the Headquarters back in New York, and how he brutalized my master."

Kamaru and Valentina glared.

"We are aware yes," Valentina growled.

"How he was able to obtain these powers, I know not!" Hanako growled "Arashi and Dr Arden had him in their clutches years ago, but they never found the source!"

Boss Kodama took out a cigarette from his suit pocket and lit it before taking a puff then he offered one to Hanako which she took gratefully.

"So, what to do about these nemeses?" Kodama asked as he blew out smoke through his nostrils.

Hanako took a puff and blew out smoke as she pondered.

"What I believe is, that this, Hunter, or Huntress who took down the 95th Gang members, might be less of a threat than the Dragon." She said, "If my ninja along with your assassins and your thugs." She glanced at Kamaru and Valentina "are to encounter this…Huntress, then you must bring her down, and bring her to me…I mean us…" she glanced at Boss Kodama.

"Sounds like a plan." Valentina said dangerously "it'll be interesting to see what kind of freak she is! Judging by those images shown!"

Hanako smirked.

"If you spot her, or she confronts one of your people, bring her down! But leave her alive!"

Kamaru nodded.

"Understood Hanako-Chan." He spoke.

Hanako and Boss Kodama turned to their ninja and assassins.

"The same applies to you!" they said to which their followers bowed.

"Hai!" they said in unison.

Tyroth and Sephie have told Monalisa, Raphael, Raphael and Donatello the whole truth, but they had no idea Pandora was listening in, Uh oh! Now the Hybrid is going to be on the warpath!

At the same time, Hanako, Boss Kodama and the 95th Street Gang have decided to keep their eyes open for the Huntress as well as be aware for Tyroth and the Knights should they strike again.

How will all this go? Well you'll just have to keep checking in to find out!
