Sonic was captured a couple weeks ago after losing the chaos emeralds to Eggman and was being held prisoner in an underwater mechanical prison with an electrical forcefield holding him in place while Eggman's forces were quickly taking over the world. His forces had robots equipped with swords, staves and spears all with great weapon skill, along with a fleet of large airships and three massive ones. Eggman had a live visual on screen in Sonic's prison so Sonic could watch the battle on the outside. Eggman had two of his best robots with golden armor, along with a dozen others fighting Knuckles and Tails on a roof top, while other forces of Eggman's were quickly taking over the rest of the city. Tails was in a machine he created for battling robots. Tails and Knuckles managed to destroy the dozen regular robots but the golden robots, one with a double sided spear and one with a staff, overpowered Knuckles and Tails. The one with the double spear stabbed Tails through the heart which instantly killed him. This enraged Knuckles. He punched the one with the double sided spear in the side and left a dent in it. Then Knuckles got hit hard in the throat by the staff wielded by the other golden robot and slowly choked to death from a crushed wind pipe.

Shadow quickly went after the chaos emeralds being kept in Eggman's main massive air ship. He managed to escape with the chaos emeralds and transformed into Super Shadow. Eggman then revealed his most powerful robot with purple armor and a purple aura surrounding it, named Psyple. Super Shadow faced off against Psyple and for a brief moment it seemed like an equal match but then Shadow made the mistake of firing an energy blast at him and Psyple lit up a black vortex that absorbed the energy and stole Super Shadow's power. Psyple's eyes and his aura started to glow as he gained more power. Super Shadow transformed back to his normal form and then the chaos emeralds flew off to places unknown. Psyple then took out a two sided long sword and after not even a minute of Shadow dodging the sword, he finally made a mistake and got cut to pieces and killed by Psyple. Sonic could only stand in prison as he watched all of his friends die.

Eggman's face appeared on the screen as he said: Now that your friends are dead and you got to witness it, you'll be dead as well in the next five minutes. Your prison is located under a lake and when I detonate this bomb the lake water will pour into your prison and drown you! Sonic yells: EGGMAN! Eggman's face disappeared and the screen shut off. Sonic heard a blast from above him. Surely enough, water started flooding the prison. The electrical field was only five feet off of the ground and the water was getting closer. Sonic had an angry look on his face as he became enraged. He was sure Eggman had won this time. He thought to himself, my friends are dead and I'm going to die too and that will be it! No, I cant let Eggman win! His eyes turned blood red and in a flash he became Super Sonic. He thought to himself, what?...No chaos emeralds? how did I...no time! He turned into a golden ball and started spinning as fast as he could and spin dashed at the electrical barrier. As the water kept getting closer and closer, the electrical field was shocking Sonic badly, causing bruises and bleeding but he knew he couldn't stop or he was dead. With the water only inches away, he finally cut through the electrical barrier and the barrier died. Super Sonic in rough shape, flew upwards and got hit with a strong downpour of lake water. With his prison now more than half full of water, he was under water, dizzy and seeing stars. Sonic regained focus and with a burst of energy he jumped up through the water and plowed into the roof of the prison trying to break through with a super charged spin dash. The water was only five feet away from the top as Super Sonic finally broke through the roof. Sonic hovered twenty feet above the lake and with a final burst of energy, he shot through the air trying to get as far away as possible. Super Sonic felt his energy weaken but he was afraid to stop, thinking about how Eggman's forces would possibly get to him and finish him off. Sonic thought to himself...where can I go? All my friends are dead...I'm by myself...Seconds later in mid air, he changed back into his normal form and crashed into some trees and landed on his face. Sonic tried to stay conscience but passed out moments later.

Sonic woke up in an old beat up looking bed in an older house. He noticed he was bandaged up and could barely move. He looked to his right and saw a letter on the table. He struggled to reach over and grab it. It read: I'm so glad I found you and saved you. You owe me one. I'm out, but should be back soon. Please don't try to leave before you're 100 percent. There's a bit of food in the fridge so help yourself. Sonic wasn't sure if he should stay or go. All his friends were dead. Who else could have helped him? He tried to get up, but couldn't so he fell back asleep. He woke up hours later and managed to get up and start walking around the house wondering if the person who brought him there was back yet. Sonic said: Hello? anybody home? He walked up to the fridge and found a bit of food inside. He ate it quickly because he had eaten very little since being Eggman's prisoner for the past month. He sat back down and checked his injuries. Yeah looks like I'm 100 percent. I could leave now if I wanted...He heard footsteps approaching from outside and quickly ran and hid around the corner. He peaked his head around the corner and saw a figure walk in. This person was wearing a dark cloak with a hood over their head and a staff resting on their back and seemed a little shorter than Sonic so he assumed it was a girl. He wasn't sure if she was friend or foe so Sonic watched her for a bit. She walked towards the bed then stopped and turned around. Sonic saw she had a cloth covering her face. She shouts out: Sonic!? Sonic thought to himself: That voice! She took off the cloth covering her face and flipped her hood back. Sonic gasped and thought to himself:...Amy?
