Hope everyone enjoyed the last chapter. This one turned out ok, but I think it could have been better. Let me know what you think.

Chapter 6
Bella's POV
"Ugh" I yelled looking at my once was full closet. I have been standing here for two hours trying to find a perfect outfit for my date with Edward tomorrow night.
Today had started terribly and Edward somehow made it so much better. He fills my heart with so much happiness and I'm so glad I decided to give us a try. Masen loves him and that makes me even happier! I have the two best men in my life and one of them is taking me on my first real date.
Which now brought me back to the present. I have tried on all my nice dresses and my tops but since he wouldn't tell me where we were going I didn't know what to wear. I ripped the dress off that I had since high school that was now way to tight after having a baby. I wrapped my robe around me and went to the only person I knew could help. Alice.
I knew Jasper was still at work, so Alice should still be up. I knocked on her door and opened it before bothering to hear her answer. "Hey Alice can yo-WOAH" I quickly put my hands over my eyes all while trying to find the doorknob. My luck to walk in on a heavy make out session where Miss Alice had lost all her clothing and Jasper was only in his boxers. "I'm so sorry Alice. I had no idea Jasper was home" I found the knob and opened the door and shut it behind me. Trying desperately to erase what I just saw from my eyes. If I would have been minutes later I would have seen a lot more. Just that thought alone made me want to gag.
I sit down on my bed with a sigh and looked up to see Alice walking in now fully dressed in yoga pants and a baggy T-shirt that was hanging off her shoulders. "Bella honey, are you ok?" I nodded
"yeah, I'm so sorry Alice. I am mortified! I just had my mind on other things and didn't even think about it" She sit down and bumped her shoulder to mine. After a minute we both burst out laughing. "Well next time we will make sure to check the lock on the door. God if that had been Masen who walked in" she shivered putting her hands on her face and resting her elbows on her knees.
"Alice he's two he wouldn't have know what you two were doing" I patted her back and tried to hide my laughter. "You should just be thankful it wasn't Edward that walked in" her face paled, her blue eyes wide and I couldn't help but laugh. "That would be horrible!" She screech.
"What did you need anyway?" Alice asked once we calmed down. "My date with Edward is tomorrow night and I need help with my outfit. I know it's late, but I just can't take my mind off it" she clapped her hands together and a creepy smile. "My dear Bella, fashion does not have a time slot. Let's see what we can do"
It was nearly 2 in the morning when we finally went to bed. My room was now a disaster, but I had everything ready for tomorrow night. Alice had a dress she is letting me borrow. It was a tight navy blue dress that stopped above my knees. There was a slit on my left leg that went up my thigh. It also pushed my boobs out perfectly.
I felt sexy and uncomfortable. I've never wore anything that showed so much skin. I had talked myself out of it three or four times before I just decided to go for it. I wanted to look pretty for Edward.
My sweet Edward. He has been so perfect and so amazing with Masen, he's given us so much in these last two weeks without asking for anything in return, so I feel like he deserves to really enjoy himself tomorrow night.
I haven't had a date since Mike newton and I hate to even count that as a date. I don't even know how a real adult date goes. Will Edward be happy with me? Knowing me I will probably look silly or do something really stupid and embarrass Edward.
I shook my head throwing my arm over my eyes. There is no point in worrying about all this now. Masen will be up in less then 4 hours and I needed to get sleep so I can be ready for my date tomorrow and not look like a sleep deprived mother.
It felt like I had just fallen asleep when I feel Masen pulling my hair and poking my face. "Mama" he said his mouth right by my ear. I moaned trying to stretch out but something was blocking my legs. Opening my eyes I was met with the smiling face of my son.
His face was so close his nose was bumping mine. I grabbed him pushing him gently on the bed. "Good morning baby. Did you sleep good" he nodded his messy curls flying about. "Yea, I take lloooonnnggg nap mama" I laughed, cuddling him into my chest and kissing his face. "That was one long nap son" We stayed in bed for awhile, talking about our day.
"Guess what" Masen eyes lit up. He loved this game. "What momma?" he ask sitting up slightly. "Guess" he sighed, but his smile gave him away. "We go outside?" I shook my head. "Nope" I popped the P. "Guess again" Masen tapped his chin, thinking about it. "Ummm. I can't guess!" He cried. "Ok calm down" I patted his back softly. "You get to spend the whole night with Auntie Alice and Uncle Jasper!"
"Oh" he said looking very disappointed. "What? You don't want to hang out with Alice?" He shrugged, picking at my blankets. My son had my bad habit of biting my lips and picking. Poor thing. "I wanna. They just boring mama" I laughed. "Auntie Al wants to dress me up" he pouted. Alice has always loved getting Masen dressed all fancy, but like his Mother. Masen hated it.
"I'm sorry, Masen. Mommy will talk to Auntie Al. O-tay?" He nodded and gave my cheek a pat. "Tanks Mama" I grabbed his little hand and kissed it. "Its thanks! But you're welcome anyway baby."
Masen nursed for a little while till we finally got our butts out of bed around eight and Alice and Jasper were already gone for the day. I was ready and not ready for my job to start. I was excited to meet my students and get to know everyone, but I was not excited about leaving Masen for eight hours.
Since I was only able to be a teacher assistant back in Phoenix, I was only gone for about three or so hours everyday and even that was hard. I knew Masen would be loved and cared for, but I felt he was safest with me. His mom.
Masen went and played, while I made him some eggs and sausage, pre his request and got me some coffee to sip on as I cooked. "Hey Alexa. Play bon Iver please" I asked our Alexa that set on my counter and swayed my hips to the song.
I finished up his breakfast and put it all on his Thomas plate and paired it with a cup of chocolate milk. "Masen honey, breakfast is ready" I yelled down the hall and Masen came running out of his room and to the dining room table waiting for me to pick him up. "Tank you, mama" I gave him a little kiss as I put him in the high chair and gave him his food and sit my food down as well.
"Mama why I stay with Auntie?" Masen asked once he had swallow down his bite of eggs. "I'm going to spend some time with a friend" I didn't want to lie to him, but I know if he finds out, I'm going to be with Edward he's going to be upset that he's gotta stay home. "Ohh. I go wit you?" I shook my head. "No not tonigh, baby. Mommy is going to go out by herself tonight and you are going to have so much fun with Alice and Jasper"
He didn't say much after that, just finished his breakfast. I knew he was sad, but he would move past it. I've got to be able to spend time away from my son. It's just hard to do so.
We cleaned up after breakfast and I decided to go ahead and give Masen his bath, so Alice didn't have to tonight and once he was though with his bath, I realized how bad his laundry needed to be done, so I stripped his bedding and grabbed his very fully laundry basket and dragged it down the hall, to the laundry room.
"Me help?" Masen loved putting the clothes into the wash and helping me pour the soap. "Sure masey, come here" I scooped him up and let him toss all the clothes into the wash and drop the washing pod in and fill the fabric softener spot. "Thank you so much, Masen. Mommy couldn't have done it with you" he giggled and got a proud smile on his face. "It's cuz I big, mama" I nodded. "You are probably right, kiddo"

Me and Masen spent the rest of our day, playing and spending time with each other. Around four I put a pull-up on Masen and we settled ourselves into the glider in his room and Mase had a little boobie snack and went down for his only nap of the day. He would always just pass out on the boob and I could place him in the crib.
I was going to take away this feeding in a couple days and go to just twice a day and then I will knock off our morning nurse soon and eventually we will let go of our night time fed as well and then he would be all done. It was almost July and August would be here before I know it and I would like to be down to breastfeeding once a day by his third birthday.
With me dating now, I want to be done with my breast feeding and get on the depo shot, like Alice is. I wasn't ready for sex yet, but I definitely wasn't ready for another baby. So the shot would be a just in case.
With Masen napping I took the time to take a shower and shave EVERYWHERE. I've never been on a real date, but I want to be all nice and smooth. I know Edward loves to rub my arms, so I shaved those again just so I wouldn't have any stubble. My dress was short and sleeveless so it all worked out.
I dried my hair and put some loose curls in to hang down my back in long waves. I sucked at makeup so I was definitely going to leave that for Alice to help me with. I never wore a lot of makeup. Just some concealer and mascara with some chapstick is good enough for me. But I wanted to look a little fancy tonight and makeup should do the trick.
My hands were already shaking so bad and I was glad I was done with my shaving before the shaking started. I knew Edward wouldn't hurt me or push me tonight, but man is the fear gripping me right now. I need to remember Edward is not James.
Since it was not even six yet, I just put on a pair of shorts and a tank tops so i wouldn't get my dress dirty when I cooked Masen dinner. Alice should be home any minute and I was definitely ready to hear her opinion on my hair and some makeup ideas.
Edward always seems to like me best in my pajamas with no makeup, but I wasn't sure where we were going and knowing the Cullen's it somewhere nice and way more then I could ever afford. I would be happy with a cheap pizza joint and a movie.
"Bella" I peeked out the bathroom door and saw Alice hanging her purse up on the hook and toeing off her high heels. Alice was a personal stylist and own a small clothing boutique with her mother Esme. She always dressed to kill. "Hey bestie! You look amazing as always" she waved her hand. "Oh you" I laughed at my fairy best friend and moved to give her a tight hug.
"Let me get changed and then we can start on getting you ready" I nodded and moved aside, so Alice could go to her bedroom. I checked on Masen and saw that he was starting to stir and I knew he would wake up soon.
Walking to the pantry I pulled out the bag of white rice and moved over to the fridge and grabbed the beef I left to marinate. Masen loved beef tips and rice, so since I was not going to be with Mase tonight I wanted him to have his favorite meal.
Pouring some oil in the pan I tossed the beef in to fry and got my rice washed and into the steamer. I went ahead and put some broccoli in there as well, because I knew that Jasper would give Masen sweets. He couldn't help himself and it gave Jasper an excuse to eat them as well.
"Whatcha cooking" Alice said as she sit down at the bar. She was now wearing a green sun dress that looked so comfortable. "Beef tips and rice. I didn't want you guys to have to worry about feeding Masen" Alice shrugged. "We didn't mind, Bella. Me and Jasper will have to eat" I shrugged for a change. "I know. I'm making enough for everyone"
Like I would make a whole ass meal and not make enough for my two best friends. "Bella! You don't have to do that" I waved her off, turning my back to her and stirred the meat. "I didn't mind. Once your a mom you'll see. You worry and it's just easier to know these have been done" Alice would be a great mother one day. But she definitely has some growing up to do, before she has any children.
"So, I have already given Masen a bath and got all his laundry done, so you shouldn't have any trouble with picking out some jammies" I explained. "Masen needs his allergy medicine about 30 minutes before he goes to bed as it makes him kind of sleepy and helps with his bed time. Since I can't nurse him tonight he likes to have a cup of warm whole milk, before he goes to sleep" Alice nodded and typed this all down in her iPhone.
"Got it" I gave her the list of his doctors number, because I'm a helicopter mom and I just love to worry about things that will probably never happen. "Thank you so much Alice. I know you guys will take good care of my baby tonight" Alice moved around and gave me a hug. "Don't worry about Masen tonight Bella. He will be fine. You need to worry about having some fun and letting lose"
I highly doubt that would happen, but I would keep it in mind.

The amazing work of Alice had me looking like a super model by the time she was done! My makeup was perfect and so was the dress. "God, Alice! I look so beautiful. Thank you so so much" Alice gave me a big smile from the mirror and handed me a bottle of perfume to complete the look.
"My brother is gonna lose his mind" I hope you are right Alice. "Wow!" I turned around to find Edward standing in the doorway with Masen on his hip and a large smile on his face. "Bella, you- I...I have no world. You look radiant" I blushed of course. How could I not. "Mama a princess!" Masen yelled, clapping his hands together.
I moved forward and grabbed my baby, kissing his face. "Well, thank you baby boy! That makes mommy feel so good" Masen pinched my cheeks a habit he learned from Esme, I'm sure. "Love you mama" I felt a little teary every time he told me that. Because I loved him too, so much.
"I love you too, Masen. You are the best thing that ever happened to Mama" Edward moved over and wrapped his arms around us and pressed a kiss on my neck. "You two are the best thing that ever happened to me" Edward whispered in my ear.
"Come here Masey" Alice said reaching for my son. "Go Mase. You will have lots of fun and we will be back before you know it" Masen held onto my necklace not looking at anyone. "Eddie, stay here wih me?" Edward shook his head and patted his back. "No buddy. You are going to stay with your Aunt Alice" Masen sighed but let Alice take him from me.
"You come home o-tay" I nodded giving him one last kiss. "Mommy will always come home, honey. Always" I let Edward pull me away and out to his Volvo. I felt incredibly guilty and I knew I was allowed to go and enjoy myself with Masen. But gosh that mom guilt is real!
"Bella, are you ok baby?" Edward asked me, pulling my hand into his lap and holding it there. "Yeah I'm good. I just feel bad leaving him. But I'm so happy to be here with you, Edward" I gave his hand a soft squeeze and he smiled at me. "You look so beautiful tonight, Isabella" I blushed looking over and taking in Edward for the first time.
He was wearing some black slacks and a dark navy button down shirt with a black suit jacket. He had a watch on his hand that looked so good. He looked amazing! "You look so handsome, Edward. Did you get a hair cut" I asked, noticing his hair was a good bit shorter. "Yeah just a trim. I wanted to look good for my girl" My girl. I liked that.
"Well, you look better then good, sweetheart" he gave me that smirk and I felt the need to push my thighs together. He knows what he does to me.
We drove in comfortable silence for most of the drive and we pulled up to a beautiful Greek restaurant and I was suddenly very glad I dressed up nice, because this place looks fancy! "Have you ever been here?" Edward asked me and I shook me head. "Definitely not. Looks way out of my price range"
"Don't worry about that, Bella. I have everything taken care of" Was Edward just as rich as all the Cullen's? "Come on let's get inside" Edward moved out of the car and opened my door, reaching his hand out for me. "Thank you" Edward tucked my arm in his and held me close to his side.
"I have reservations for Cullen" Edward asked the hostess, who was blatantly eye fucking Edward. But one glance up to his face made me realize I had no need to worry. Edward only had eyes for me. The hostess lead us over to a quiet table in the corner overlooking the beautiful court yard.
"Your waiter will be with you soon. Can I start you out on some drinks" Edward ordered us both cokes and warmed my heart that he remembered my favorite drinks. "Ok, I will be right back with those drinks" We both looked though the menu, trying to figure out what sounds good.
"What do you usually get?" Edward thought for a moment. "I like to get the lamb with diced potatoes and asparagus with the Greek salad" He told me. "I will probably just get that. I've never had Greek foods before" I have always wanted to try before.
"Then I will get the same" We talked about Masen and I asked him how his work was going. Conversation always seemed to flow easy with the two of us. And I was thankful for that, because this could get awkward fast. "So is Masen going over to my moms house Monday?" I nodded, Mase is so excited to see Esme.
"Yeah, he will go Monday and Tuesday and then daycare for Wednesday and Thursday, then back to Esme for Friday" I don't know how I could thank Esme enough for how much she has helped me with Masen. Just the fact that he doesn't have to spend all week in daycare makes me want to cry with joy. He has a few more years till school, so I'm glad I have this figured out now.
"Oh perfect! I also go to my parents house on Fridays to pick up the meals my mom makes for me to freeze, so I can always bring him home if you needed me too" Edward gave me a big smiled and I knew he was trying hard to make this work for us. "I would like that; Edward and I think Masen would too"
Our conversation was cut short as our waiter came by with our drinks. "Hello and welcome to Petra Mediterranean Bistro, my name is Eric and I will be your waiter tonight. Would you like to try our house wine tonight?" I looked to Edward and his eyes questioned me on if I wanted this wine or not. I shook my head slightly, I was picky about my wine and I'm sure this one was expensive and I didn't want Edward to waste his money.
"No we will be fine. We are actually ready to order" Our waiter pulled out his notebook and waited for Edward. "We both want to do the lamb with diced potatoes and asparagus. We also want to start with a Greek salad for our appetizer" Eric got every down and said he would put our order in and get those salads. "Thank you"
"So how's that case going you were telling me about" I loved hearing Edward talk about his work. He definitely enjoyed it and you could tell just by listening to him talk about it. "It's going. The little boy I am defending is now with his grandparents and mom and dad have both just went to jail for the next 13 years for child neglect and abuse. There will be no reunification for this family. I am just glad the kid has some family that will take care of him"
That terrible. How anyone could do that to a child is beyond me. "That poor baby. I don't know how you don't just take them all home with you" Edward laughed. "Believe me. I want too. But I'm just here to help them and our System gets them with the right foster family's" I nodded. I couldn't imagine what those kids go through.
"Man I bet that's a hard job to have. I get attached to the kids i teach, I couldn't imagine what I would do to see them going though such pain and not take them away with me" Edward shrugged, taking a sip of his coke. "It's definitely hard, but it's worth it in the end, to see the kids get what they need and deserve. It warms your heart to be apart of it"
How does this man exist! He is just to perfect and so damn sweet and kind hearted.
We stuffed ourselves with amazing food and even share a lava cake for dessert. "Want to take a walk with me?" Edward asked pointing over to the park with a walkway along the lake. "I would love too" We walked hand and hand along the beautiful lake. The weather was just perfect and the walk was much needed after all that food.
"Man I can't remember the last time, I was this full" I said, patting my stomach. "Me too. I can't believe how much I ate. I'm gonna have to work out for days after this" I nodded. "Thank you for tonight Edward. I've never been on a real date and this was amazing" Edward laid a kiss on my palm. "Of course Bella. Does this mean I will get a second date?" He stopping our walk and wrapped his arms around me, keeping all warm from the chilly breeze.
"I thought that was a given, boyfriend" Edward actually blushed, before he pushed me against the railing and gave me a mind blowing kiss. I gave my all into this kiss and let him feel all the love I was to scared to show just yet.
This man makes me the happiest I will ever be. "Come on, let's go home and watch a movie" That's music to my ears.

Edward had clearly planned on coming over to hang out with me. He had brought over some comfy clothes for after our date, so we could be cozy.
Alice and Jasper only said hello and how Masen was, before going back to their room and giving us some alone time. Edward went and changed in the bathroom, while I went over to Masen's room to peek in on him.
He was fast asleep with his blanket throw off and his bum in the air. I laughed quietly and gently pushed his bottom down and recovered him with his blanket. "Love you baby"
I walked over to my room and change in one of my sexier pairs of pajamas. They were a dark red and was a satin material. The shorts hung to my hips in all the right places and the tank top gave me just the right amount of cleavage.
Edward was already on the couch with a blanket waiting for me. "Hey, baby" Edward said, pulling me into his side. "Is masterminds ok with you?" I nodded. I loved that movie, one of my favorites honestly.
"Yeah I love that one" We sit and cuddled while the movie played. Edward had his hand running up and down my arm and every few minutes he would lean over and kiss the top of my head. I was warm full and felt so loved. There was definitely no place I would rather be.
Well that's it ladies and gentlemen. This chapter is a bit shorter than the others, but I hope you still liked it. I will probably do Edward POV for the date in the next chapter.
