Izuku looked at the Slate. "Alright, all four runes down..." He looked around for the Old Man.
The second Shrine he visited had been in some sort of ruined building, guarded by three of the same kind of robot he had spotted inside the first Shrine. Except, they were bigger and more deadly. They also couldn't move, as half of their bodies had been buried in the ground. That Shrine gave him Bombs, one type round and one type a cube. The last two Shrines had been conveniently placed on a mountain, it covered in a blanket of snow. Prepared, Izuku made his way up with a lit torch. When he reached the peak, he found he missed both of the Shrines but found the strange man again. He gave him a shirt with the ability to keep him warm up there.
The third Shrine gave him Stasis, which was the ability to freeze an object in time for a small window of time. When he was to freeze something, the item faintly glew red. And when it was frozen, it faintly glew yellow. If he attacked the frozen item, it glew yellow, then orange, then red the more and more hits he placed on it. The final Shrine had given him Cryonis, the ability to create up to three pillars of ice on the surface of water. They weren't too slippery, which made it easier to walk on them. If he made a fourth one, the first one he had made would break, the ice pillar melting back into the water.
He climbed back to the top of the tower, testing to see if he could spot the man from there. To Izuku's surprise, he was waiting at the top for him.
"Hello, young Izuku!" He greeted with a smile. "I see you finished your task! Good job!"
"Can-can I have the Paraglider now? Please?"
"I have one last thing to tell you...Take a look at your map."
Izuku brought out the Sheikah Slate and looked at the map.
"Do you see the Shrine markers?"
"Yes."
"Now, connect the lines. Follow the Shrines to the place in the center." The Old Man told. "I will meet you there."
Izuku followed the Old Man's instructions until his eyes met a strange temple-like building not too far off. He marked the place on his map and went to ask the man what he was so eager to tell him, but the man had vanished once again...
Izuku entered the abandoned building and spotted a large statue of a lady, with smaller statues around it.
"Oi!" The Old Man shouted at Izuku from the roof. "Up here, young Izuku! Don't forget to pray to the Goddess statue first!"
Izuku looked at the statue with a new eye. "The Goddess...?" He knelt to the ground.
"Izuku...Champion..."
Izuku jumped and fell backwards. "Huh?"
"If you offer up four Spirit Orbs...I will give you a gift in return..."
Izuku walked closer, wondering how she could take the Spirit Orbs from him.
"Now tell me, Champion...do you wish for more Stamina or dexterity?"
Izuku thought long and hard about his decision. "Dexterity, please."
The Spirit Orbs gathered into existence in front of Izuku. They floated over to the statue and vanished upon contact, just like what happened when the Monks gave them to Izuku. A heart-shaped ruby floated down to Izuku, also vanishing when touched. Izuku wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he felt no different.
"Please...bring peace to Hyrule..." The voice grew quiet, and all seemed still.
Izuku climbed up a ladder he found leaning on one side of the the exterior of the building. He carefully walked along the slanted roof, struggling to evenly distribute his balance at first, but getting it towards the end. He entered a small room, the Old Man and a treasure chest lined up with one of the walls.
"Hello! What was it you wanted to tell me?"
"I'm sorry I had to hide this from you for a while, Champion." He sighed. "But it is about the right time to learn the truth." He threw off his cloak, revealing an outfit that looked fit for a King. He was floating very slightly off the ground. His colors looked faded and there were small blue orbs floating around him. "I am King Toshinori Yagi Hyrule." He turned to face the castle covered in the purple mist. "The voice you heard coming from that castle is my daughter, Princess Ochako Uraraka Hyrule. She was taken by the Calamity 100 years ago. You are the Champion of Hyrule. The wielder of the Master Sword. You were Ochako's knight, Izuku Midoriya Link."
The King nodded. "Yes, 100 years past you and the other four Champions were to work with the Princess. They were destined to stop the Calamity from rising but..." He pointed towards the castle. "Well...you can see how well that turned out!" He gave a hearty laugh, trying to lighten up the mood. He redirected his hand to point at the treasure chest. "In there is the Paraglider. You need it now more than I do."
Izuku opened the chest and brought out the Paraglider. He popped it into his pouch and turned back to the King.
Toshinori's smile changed into a serious expression. "Now, Champion of Hyrule. I have a task prepared for you, if you're ready."
Izuku nodded. "I'm ready."
"I want you to go inside of Hyrule Castle, destroy Calamity Shiguraki and save my daughter and the world."
"Uh...okay.
"The fate of the world rest on your shoulders..." He faded out of existence.
"But...I don't think I'm ready yet..."
"Izuku..." The girl's voice called again.
"Ochako?"
"Izuku...there is a town not far from the Great Plateau called Kakariko villiage. You should head there and speak to the person in charge. Her name is Impa. She will tell you everything about what happened 100 years ago."
"Alright. Thank you."
"Be safe, and die bravely."
