Sup guys, Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Paw Patrol. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I do not own Paw Patrol; Nick and a few others do.

The small dog grunted, falling onto unforgiving concrete. He grunted as he realized his arm hurt and it hurt a lot more to try and deal with.

The dog, a blackish brown great Dane pup started to rush down the road before his leg hurt… He felt pain lance up his arm and whimpered, pain all within his body.

He looked towards the ground, slowly dragging himself forward. He could still put weight on it which meant it was not hurt THAT badly. He had been too disturbed at the end of it now as he cracked his paw.

The dog shook the water off him as well, he did not even feel the puddle he had fallen into now… Only it was then he had to relax… Something about it all was amusing for now.

Well, it would be if he was not scared. He tugged on the small little military-style vest his former owner had put on him and then trotted towards town.

His stomach growled a feeling which tore the strength from his body.

He had been too eager to deal with it all for now… Something about it all had been more than this… Both times he had been scared like this. He had been in trouble before… Now? He had been eager just to eat.

He was too tired… Now? Now he had been too distracted… And it would be a long time before he could relax… Something about it all just made him unsure for the moment.

So? All he did was simple… Walking down the road down the street. He sighed to himself and sighed to himself… They had a lot more to try and figure out.

There was a rustling in the bushes as the dog turned towards it, he grunted but tried to hide his bad leg if it knew he could not do much. He would be easy to take.

Instead came the bark of another dog. A small beagle with eyes as green as sapphires. The dog was shorter than him, no surprise given their differing breeds and the fact he was still growing each day.

The great Dane growled but mostly in pain rather than some cheap desire to pretend to be tough. Pain shone through his one brown eye and it was clear he was not in the position to scuffle like he seemed.

The puppy wandered closer and he believed something would become much harder said than done now.

He was silent, looking at the smiling puppy with what he tried to make look like obvious anger.

"Hello!" The puppy said to which he hummed.

The Great Dane puppy looked at each other… He had been too distracted…. Something about it all had been too easily dealt with for now.

"Hello." The Great Dane puppy responded, looking at them.

"My name is Otis, what's yours?!" The dog almost yelped at him as the larger puppy hummed, caught mostly off-guard and then scared.

"Duke, service dog in training for the army," Duke said in a tone that suggested he had introduced himself this way before.

Duke winced as he realized Otis was not going to attack him, he looked ahead at the city, his belly growling as if he had been beaten into the ground.

He was hungry and he was supposed to eat soon. Duke decided to eat simply, tugging himself towards the direction of the city.

"I wouldn't eat that, garbage is not very nutritional," Duke said as he slowly started to walk toward town.

"Are you a stray as well!? I like strays, they are good friends." Otis yelled as Duke rolled his eyes.

"No," Duke said before he started to trot towards town.

"Can I come with you, new friend?" Otis asked as Duke shrugged.

"Sure, don't care," Duke stated, pausing for a moment to fix his military coat before trotting away. "Just don't get surprised if I keep walking," Duke stated, not pausing as Otis rushed ahead of him.

Duke simply rolled his good eye. They looked at the town before he started to march down the road, he hummed and then thought of himself before he sighed… Something about it all simply exhausted at the time.

An idea that had been brewing.

Author Notes

Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be delayed at this time. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-9500 words… It will also be showing more of Duke and Otis walking into town, dealing with finding food and setting up them with meeting the Paw Patrol. Until then? Lighting Wolf is out!
