October 1st

I know this is over two weeks late, but here we go. It's the end of Season 16 of AGT. The winner is…magician, Dustin Tavella. Dustin was a pretty good and entertaining muciain.

People might have their dislikes on the winner and say who is more deserving, but let's be real, that's every year. The other people did have some amazing talents, but since I liked Dustin, there's no complaints here. You go, Dustin! Make your adopted little boys and wife proud!

In fact, one of the contestants, 9-year old Victory Blinker, had the most beautiful Opera voice. She made it to the finale, but sadly not the top five. She was also surprisingly in danger of going home the week before, but luckily one of the judges came through and she could go. She was one of my favorites, so I was disappointed that she didn't make the top yeah, and she was the first in AGT history that got the golden buzzer from Terry and all of the judges. So that's cool!

The third place winner was a comedian with Cerebral Palsy, Josh Blue. That guy was good and funny! The other comedian who made it to the finals was too. Second place was aerialist, Aiden Bryant.

So all of the judges, including Simon who recovered from his accident last year, and Terry, from last year all returned again. All of the audience members in the theater wore their masks. And of course due to the Tokyo Olympics (which Roger and I got to see by the way. More on that story later), the show had a two week break. There were no Judge Cuts this year.

Thus concludes another season of AGT. Despite the pandemic still being a thing, it turned out to be another exciting season (excluding Sethwood returning. That guy doesn't know when to quit) and the best part is that no one got sick or injured. They were all present until the very end. So, congrats once again, Dustin Trevella. You are a winner like Darci Lynn, Shin Lim, Kodi Lee, and Brandon Leakes.

And because today is October 1st, it's Walt Disney's World's 50th anniversary so thanks WDW for the magic you gave us. May you still have magic in the many years for generations to come.

I also like to give a shout out to Germany's new future Chancellor: Olaf Scholz! Chancellor Angela Merkle, great job on the last 16 years of ruling my home county! I'm sure Olaf will do great too!
