And this year's winner of AGT 2022, the seventeenth season is…the Mayyas! The dance group from Lebanon was so successful and danced into all of the judges, the audience, and America's hearts.
All of the judges and Terry Crews came back to perform the same duties that they did the last two years. Simon was back and stayed on the whole season with zero accidents! He did have like a cast on his arm, but nothing major. Howie was gone temporarily and came back. Sofia was only gone when the host and other judges were narrowing down their picks for the shows before the finals. Steve teased that maybe Sofia was absent because she didn't want to pick because she hated it last time because it was 'too hard.' Roger said that too and Jeff asked if she could do that. The rest of the fam and I disagreed. We said she could be sick or have another thing to do that day (she is an actress after all. Modern Family wasn't her only acting gig). He said that it was just a joke and we should just chillax. He hoped that she was okay. We did too, but luckily she came back for the next show and stayed on for the rest of the season.
The rest of the talents were good. I loved that ventriloquist. I thought she should have won. I loved the singers and magicians too, They were all awesome. And I hate to say this but (groan) Sethward came back. He'll never leave and give up! We all were shocked because he disguised himself so we didn't know it was him until the end. No wonder his act kind of sucked, it was Sethward!
So congratulations to the Mayyas and the other acts all put in their great efforts. Let's see what season 18 offers next year (despite my hopes on Sethward not returning, I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Nothing surprises me about him anymore).
